Chapter 4

The dungeon was back to how it was only two hours ago. Yugi had finally been dragged out by Pegasus. Looking over to the next cell he recalled what had happened.

Yugi crying "Grandpa". After a few moments he began to bandage the old man. That would explain why the boy became nervous every time a noise come from over that way.

"You are wondering how we came to be in this situation, are you not?" A voice said.

"Yes I am." The Pharaoh said hoping for some explanation.

"My name is Sugoto. And as you know, Yugi is my grandson. I remember the day that man came into our peaceful lives. He claimed that he was a traveler in need of a place to stay. Curse my kindness! I let him stay. Soon after he arrived, Yugi arrived home. I knew there was something wrong with the way he looked at Yugi. He started to ask all kinds of questions about him. I answered all, like the fool I am. I told him that his parents died in the plague and despite all that, he was a happy child. The attack didn't come till later in the night. I remember waking to a chant. I got up to see where it was coming from only then did I find Pegasus. I must have startled him. Suddenly I felt chains wrap around me preventing movement. "You will not be able to help him now. The spell is complete." I knew he had done something to Yugi. I begged him to leave him alone. He just laughed and told me his plan. He said Yugi was his muse. The spell that he had cast would take all of his negative emotions and feed them directly to his power. Then we were brought here. Strange though, he didn't bring us here till hours later. He has done I can only imagine what to Yugi, but one thing is for sure…he is hurting. I can feel it"

Yami couldn't believe what he was hearing, but at the same time it made perfect sense. Pegasus was as evil as they come. And to force Yugi to help him!

/Poor boy. All he wants is a normal life./ Yami thought.

Yami didn't have much time to think, when Pegasus came in.

"My Pharaoh, this dungeon really doesn't suit you. Follow me." Pegasus pulled Yami out of the dungeon. But not before Yami saw the old man's eyes begging for help.

What? "Sugoto" is how I spell Yugi's grandfather's name.
