Chapter Five: Two Minutes in Four Pages

Ryou yawned.

Ugh... I'm so tired... This can't be healthy...

He'd taken a cold shower, gotten ready for school and still had time left over to study for every major upcoming test for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, as a side effect, he'd also nearly bored himself into a comma.

Agh! Stay awake!

Ryou shook his head to clear his mind as he entered the school building. He sighed.

Another day, another pointless day...

Ryou was rather depressed. "Lack of sleep will do that to ya'," he'd once heard someone say. First hand experience had also taught him that.

I just hope I don't get yelled at in class again, because I /know/ I'm not going to stay awake for the whole thing... So sleepy...

Just then, he heard a rather loud commotion coming from just around the hallway.

Huh?

He ran towards it.

It's coming from the homeroom! What could that be?

"You wanna fight?! Fine! You got it!"

Is that... Jounouchi's voice?!

"Wait! Jounouchi-kun!"

And Yugi?! What's going on?

Ryou slid open the class room door and- WAM!!

"Oh, no!"

"Ryou-kun!?!"

"Is he hurt?!"

"I don't know!"

"Oh, man! He's not bleeding is he!?"

"Yo, Ryou!? Wake up!"

"Oh, no! Someone do something!"

"Oh, man!"

Hmm.... Darkness..? So tired.... So dark..... It feels…. So…….

~~*Two minutes earlier*~~

Yugi Mutou entered the classroom filled with chattering students. Looking around he found his little group of friends sitting near the windows waiting for class to start. Jounouchi was talking to Anzu and Honda about something looking completely exited.

"Yoh! Jounouchi-kun!" Yugi called out as he began to walk towards his desk.

"Oh? Yugi!" Jounouchi looked up. His eyes were unusually bright. "Yugi! Look at the new cards I got!" The blond haired boy began running over to the multicolor haired kid. "You'll never guess what I got!" He jumped up, over Anzu's desk, and nearly tripped over the girl.

"Watch where you're going!" she yelled. "Baka!"

Jounouchi, instead of heeding wise words, turned around and raspberried her. And smacked into something very hard and very tall. Both he and the something `hard and tall' fell to the floor in a pile of limbs and clothes.

"What the hell!" the blond yelled. "Watch where you're going!" Jounouchi hypocritically said, "You big piece of- Eep!"

"Jounouchi-kun! Are you OK?" Yugi ran over to his friend. "Are you OK, too, Kaiba?"

Kaiba glared at Jounouchi. "Big piece of what?" He asked in a low seething voice.

"Nothing!" Jounouchi smiled nervously and immediately noticed his current position: directly atop of Kaiba, with his legs on either side, basically straddling the millionaire. "Um.." he quickly pulled himself off of the brunet and apologized again.

Kaiba continued to glare as he himself got up off the floor. He brushed himself off and picked up his leather briefcase.

Jounouchi continued to apologize. He might be a loudmouth, but he wasn't stupid. A rather large group of kids began forming around the two. It wasn't everyday that someone literally fell on top of the infamous Kaiba. And lived.

"Pathetic," Kaiba said in a uninterested voice. "You shouldn't be allowed off your leash, mutt."

"Wha-! What!?" Jounouchi yelled. "Hey I said I was sorry!"

"And I said that you shouldn't be allowed off your leash, /mutt/. It's great that we understand each other." Kaiba pushed past Jounouchi and continued walking towards his seat in the back of the room.

A gasp was shared by the gathered congregation of onlookers. Kaiba was just walking away! Jounouchi was one lucky bastard!

Unfortunately, Jounouchi is also a loudmouth, and apparently he /is/ stupid because then next thing he did was grab Kaiba by the shoulder, push him around so that he faced him and punched him in the face. "Don't call me mutt, jack ass!"

The fellow classmate spectators gasped and all took a step back.

Kaiba staggered, almost falling over. He was completely surprised. Then, really mad. He dropped his briefcase and lounged at Jounouchi, who let out a girly squeal as Kaiba slammed his face into a nearby desk.

"Kaiba-kun! Jounouchi-kun! " Yugi cried out as he saw both his friends duking it out right in front of him. "Stop it! Both of you!"

Anzu screamed and Honda rushed over to help his buddy, who lay on the floor where Kaiba had thrown him. Kaiba snorted and began walking away again when Honda's voice boomed over his thoughts. "Kaiba! Prepare to pay!" Honda called out and was about to attack the young man, but Jounouchi stopped him.

"Wait, Honda! He's mine!" Jounouchi stood up and spit out a gob of blood, then wiped his mouth with his shirt sleeve. "You wanna fight?! Fine! You got it!"

"Wait! Jounouchi-kun!" Yugi yelled out.

The blond ignored his spiky haired friend and lounged at Kaiba who effortlessly dodged his attack and instead sent him flying straight into the closed classroom door. Which opened. And revealed Ryou.

WAM!!

Jounouchi basically flew through the air and head butted Ryou`s body into the hallway.

"Oh, no!" Anzu cried out.

"Ryou-kun!?!" Yugi shouted as he ran towards his fallen comrades.

"Is he hurt?!" asked Honda over Yugi's shoulder.

"I don't know!" Yugi said, his voice very high.

"Oh, man! He's not bleeding is he!?" Honda asked again.

"Yo, Ryou!? Wake up!" Jounouchi finally said as he picked himself off of the other boy. `Damn, that hurt!' he thought. `Is that boys chest made of metal?!'

"Oh, no!" Anzu yelled again, seemingly unable to use human vernacular. "Someone do something!"

"Oh, man!" Jounouchi cried out. "I think he's unconscious!"

"Well, duh!" Honda smacked Jounouchi upside the head. "And who's fault do you think that is?!"

"Careful! That hurts!" Jounouchi rubbed his head. "What is up with-?" He felt Ryou's chest. "Huh?!" He pulled Ryou's blue button up shirt over his chest and revealed the Sennen Ring. "What the hell!!?!"

Everyone noticeably backed away just a little, as if the white haired kid would awaken at that exact same second and kill them all with a machete he'd pull out of thin air.

"We have to get him to the nurse!" Yugi declared suddenly.

Everyone agreed.

Ah! Another chapter done, another class assignment put off. Whoo! Go me! Actually, I didn't go to school today. I blame the large amounts of water collected on the roads. I think it's called a flood, or something... Yeah. That's it. Yup. The flood. I blame it on that, and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
