First crack at some poetry. Don't laugh too hard. I wrote this after reading the original Magna version of Yugi and seeing how he gets ignored by basically everyone at school. Well, I'll stop babbling now. Poetry is supposed to be a personal interpretation thing, right?

Invisibility Rating

"Invisibility" is my first, middle and last name,

a word that is my only friend

a word that is my only protection

a word that means so much to me,

when I mean so little to you.

"Invisibility" is my gift and I use it well

a gift that hides,

a gift that doesn't let the tide,

pull me under,

when you turn your faces to the sun.

"Invisibility" is my curse and I hate it everyday

a curse that stings,

a curse that brings,

the most pitiful pain imaginable

when you look but quickly turn away.

I am a name without a face,

I am a bodiless voice that cries to deaf ears.

I am no one to everyone

and nothing to all.

So I'll sit quietly and watch my rating rise until one day,

I become completely, totally and utterly

"Invisible".
