Hey people. This is my first shot at a romance. It will be Yami/Tea/Yugi triangle. I'm still deciding on the couple but I think it's gonna be Yami/Tea. But...it can change depending on reviews. So that's how it's gonna be, if you don't like the couples then leave!
---
Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh. If I did, Yami would the same height as Seto Kaiba, the English dub would be a direct translation of the Japanese series with no cuts, and Yami would have kissed Tea a long time ago.
---
Yami and Yugi both love Tea. The only thing difference is, Yugi is willing to go to any lengths to get her to be his.
---
"Battle of the bands! Enter for a chance to win the grand prize of a $1000 gift certificate for any music store and two tickets to the end of the year dance for each band member."
Yugi, Tea, Jounouchi, Honda, and Mai where looking at the advertisement on the wall.
"That sounds cool, I think I'll enter." Yugi looked at the sign on the school wall.
"Yea Yugi, you could easily win with the way you sing." Tea stood next to Yugi.
Yugi blushed slightly at Tea's comment.
"I guess."
"Oh come on Yugi, you know your band is one of the best in the school. You could easily win." Honda placed a hand on Yugi's shoulder.
"Not unless Yami's band enters the competition." A voice spoke to them from behind.
They all turned around to see Bakura looking at them.
"No offense to Yugi, but I've heard people talking around the school saying that they hope Yami wins the competition."
"That doesn't mean he'll win Bakura." Jounouchi walked up to him.
"Whatever you say, but it isn't going to be like last year when you won Yugi."
With that Bakura walked away.
"Don't mind him Yugi." Tea spoke next to him.
"You'll do fine."
Yugi blushed again.
----
Yugi walked home alone that day. He had stayed after school for an extra choir session with the teacher to prepare for the competition. Some of his other friends in the choir already said they'd join him to sing in a group together. He was especially enthusiastic because he wanted to win the tickets to the dance. It was the only reason he was entering; to go with her, Tea. He had loved her since they where little, and now that it was their last year of school he was thinking of telling her. He even had it all planned out. He would sing a love song at the concert to dedicate to her and tell her how he felt. And if he won, he would ask her to go with him to the dance. It was perfect!
---
Yugi finally reached the Game Shop. Opening the door, he could hear Yami practicing his saxophone upstairs. He headed up following the sound. When he opened the door, Yami was practicing his Tenor sax instead. His Alto was in its stand next to him.
"My God Yami, you already got lead alto in the Jazz band and the Wind Ensemble and it's you senior year! Don't you think you could tone it down a little?"
Yami stopped playing. He turned the horn towards Yugi and blew the lowest note as loud as he could.
"I'll take that as a 'fuck you' "
"No, that was a 'leave me alone' "
Yugi was about to walk out of the room when a piercing screech penetrated his ears making all areas of his body register pain.
"That, was a 'fuck you' "
Yugi held his ear and turned around looking at Yami.
"Point taken."
He closed the door heading out the room leaving Yami to his scales.
---
After eating dinner Yami headed upstairs again this time to practice his guitar. Yugi went over to his desk and started sifting through some papers. He found it the perfect opportunity to ask Yami about the competition.
"So Yami, you entering Battle of the Bands?"
"Duh, with $1000 I'll have a field day shopping."
"What about the tickets?" Yami thought about the question.
"Maybe, but I'm not telling you."
Yugi scoffed inside him.
Yami stood up placing his guitar on its stand and was going to practice his sax.
"What about you?"
"Eh, you can have the money if I win. I want those tickets cause I want to ask Tea to the dance."
Yami nearly dropped his sax on his foot. Yugi didn't notice to Yami's luck. Unfortunately, his fingers got caught in between the keys on the sax, so he was trying not to yelp in pain.
"Tea?" Yami did his best to try and make his voice sound calm.
He was still trying to get his fingers loose. Yugi still had his back to him.
"Well, yea. I really like her. Well...maybe even more than that."
Yami finally got his fingers loose and tried his best to conceal his pain. Despite this, he was still thinking about what Yugi said. Uncomfortable silence hovered between them. Finally, Yugi left the room.
Yami fell back on the bed and thought about what happened earlier.
---Flashback---
Tea was walking to the library carrying a rolling carriage with text books in it. It wasn't that hard for her, but she could already feel her legs burning.
"Hey Tea wait up!" A voice called out behind her. She immediately recognized who it was.
"Yami, hey, what are you doing here it's after school."
"I was to the guys in my band to see what song they wanted to play at the competition. What about you?"
Yami's voice was soft smooth. She could almost call it velvety. She blushed as she brushed some hair out of her face trying not to look at Yami's eyes.
"Those eyes..." she would say to herself in her mind.
"I was helping Mrs. Inaku take some books back to the library since we're done reading them."
"I see..." Yami wouldn't take his eyes off Tea.
"She's so beautiful," He thought.
"Here I'll help you take them the rest of the way. You look pretty tired."
"Thanks, I'd like that."
Yami took the carriage from her and pushed all the way to the library.
After Tea turned in the books, they talked for a few minutes as they headed out of the school building.
"So, what are thinking of studying after you get out of high school?"
"Well...either music, or something with computers, or both."
"Cool, I'm thinking about veterinary medicine." (A.N I'm sorry but I was getting tired of Tea always wanting to be a dancer.)
"Wow, that's great, I mean I know how much you love animals. And you're real kind..." Yami trailed off.
Tea blushed and looked up at him. Yami tried his best not to look at her so that she couldn't see the blush on his face. Yami couldn't hide it though. Tea wanted desperately to wrap her hand around his neck and hug him, but she wasn't sure of how he felt. Suddenly a car pulled up in front of the school steps.
"It's my sister!" She waved to a black haired woman in a convertible Mustang.
"See you later Yami."
Then, without any warning to Yami, she pulled him down and kissed him on the cheek. Tea ran off giving Yami no chance not even for a gasp. He waved to her as she drove of with her sister.
---End flashback---
Yami touched the side of his cheek where Tea kissed him. He wan't sure if it was a friend kiss, an I love you "no that would be on the mouth" he thought. If only he could stop being such a damn coward and tell her how he felt! But now that Yugi was looking forward to telling her how he felt, he wasn't sure how to tell her without hurting Yugi. If he would have to fight for her he would, as long as her could have her.
He got up from the bed and turned on his computer. He put on his headphones, and started looking through a list of possible songs to dedicate to her.

I made it so that at there's an end of the year concert for everyone in the school, not just prom for the upper class-men.
Wow, that was a long chapter. So, I wonder who'll get to Tea first. Thx for reading.
