LusciousDragon: OK, I'm back from my vacation, and I wrote…let's see…four chapters, not bad, considering I only wrote once I got home, after doing stuff with my cousins all night, (I usually walked in around 2 AM) Oh, it was SOOOOOO much FUN!!!!!!!!! We did so much stuff-breaking a bowling alley-1 AM skim boarding- watching our parents get drunk-making a getaway from the bowling alley which we broke-playing monopoly for 8 hours straight-playing poker with poker chips being food- learning to skim board and falling 9 times-getting sunburn-listening to whiney little cousins… Ah…fun times…FUN TIMES…. *sob* I miss it…

ShadowDragon: Damn fool, Malik's Girl's Yami, do you really think I would give myself up to you, you poor, poor, stupid fool, while you were out hunting for my carcass, I was down the shore, working on my tan!!! And as for your brothers, well, I sincerely doubt that yours are Ra and Anubis. I would love to know what you look like, considering, that Anubis was the Jackal god, who is associated with the dead, and he was the guide of the dead in the Underworld on their way to Osiris. Also, how can Ra and Anubis be your brothers, since from one point of view he was the son of Ra. Whether he WAS the son of Ra or not, I sincerely doubt you were related to him. As for Ra- the sun God, who was the only important god who was worshiped with consistency, and who was chief of cosmic deities, and from whom early Egyptian kings claimed descent. Well, I for one think that you are merely a pathetic weakling, who is not related to ANY of the Gods….

Joey woke up early, he didn't know why, until he remembered that his sister was coming home from the hospital today. Shit! How could he have been so stupid as to forget, he was the worst big brother ever!! What would he do? He couldn't very well kick Kaiba and Mokuba out, where would they go? If his sister ever found out that he had kicked them out so she could stay here, she would be pissed. But where would Serenity go? He couldn't very well say, "Sorry, I forgot you were coming," and slam the door in her face. Or could he? NO!!! He couldn't do that, he might not be the best big brother, but he wasn't that bad.

"ARGH…" Joey exclaimed, and began to bang his head against the wall.

Ten minutes later, a knock sounded on the door.

"Serenity," he glanced at his alarm clock. It read 9:10. That's strange, Joey thought, I could have sworn she said she would be here a little after twelve noon. Oh well, she must have caught an early train. Oh no, what was he gonna do? What was he gonna do?

"Joey," a voice said, strange, it sounded muffled, and raspy, maybe she got a cold, it was late December. "Open up."

Taking a deep breath, Joey reached for the doorknob. Now or never. With that thought, he turned the doorknob, and it opened.

"Huh? Oh… Hi Yugi… Whatcha doin' here? And what's with your voice?"
"Hi Joey, I have a bad cold, and my grandpa thinks I might have strep throat, but my throat really hearts, and in case you didn't notice, my voice is hoarse. My yami went off, said he needed to find certain herbs or something… I was just wondering if you were OK, we haven't heard from you in a while…" Then Yugi got a glance of Kaiba, sleeping curled up with his little brother, his jaw dropped. He rubbed his eyes, and looked again, Kaiba was still there. "W-what's Kaiba doing here?"

"It's a long story…Anyway, I have to ask a favor…Could you possibly allow Serenity to stay at your place, it's only one night. Yugi looks puzzled, `Don't ask questions' Joey prayed to himself.

Yugi's face breaks into a smile, "Yeah, sure…but remember, you owe me!"

"I won't forget this pal! Yugi, you da man!

"Well, I'm glad to see you're OK."

"See you at school tomorrow?"

Yugi sighed, "Joey, how could you forget, it's Winter Break!!!"

"Oh yeah," Joey grinned, "Guess it slipped my mind."

"Wouldn't be the first thing to do that!"

After Yugi left, Joey returned to the apartment, very relieved. He went to check on the brothers, Kaiba lay there, one arm thrown protectively over his brother, Mokuba, was snuggled up next to him, a contented look on his face. Joey thought about what Kaiba had done, the great lengths he had gone to ensure his brothers safety.

`He really loves his brother' Joey thought. Then, he grabbed a pad of paper, and wrote,

Kaiba awoke with a start, where was he? Then it all came back, the kidnapping, the ransom, and Joey, he was staying at the Mutt's house!!!!

Mokuba was awoken by Kaiba's movement, the boy sat up groggily, and yawned.

"Good…Morn-morning, Seto." He said, yawning.

"Good morning yourself," Kaiba said, smiling fondly at his little brother.

Hearing voices, Joey came over.

"Thank god you're awake. I never thought you'd wake up…"

"But Joey," Mokuba interrupted, "it's only 10 in the morning."

"Yeah, well my sister is coming to visit at twelve, and I didn't want her to see you two sleeping."

"What's for breakfast," Mokuba demanded.

"Whatever you find in the fridge." Joey said, indicating the likely food source.

"Cool," Mokuba bounded to the fridge, opened it, and stuck his head in, however, there was nothing to his liking in it. However, the freezer held ice cream, which he grabbed and began to eat. Kaiba began to protest, when Joey threw him a rag, and told him to start cleaning.

"Why?"

"My sister is coming today, she expects the place to be clean."

"People actually expect Mutts to clean up after themselves?" Kaiba said, feigning shock.

"Kaiba," Joey growled, "I'm warning you, say whatever you want about me now, but I will throttle you, if you say anything demeaning to me in front of my baby sister."

Kaiba rolled his eyes.

"Also," Joey continued, "If I catch you looking at her funny, making lewd remarks, hitting on her, or ANYTHING, I will kill you!!!!!!!!!!!"

"What makes you think I'd be interested in your sister? I mean she's related to you."

"KAIBA!" Joey roared. But then he glanced at the clock and began to clean feverishly.

Kaiba made a mental note-

One good thing about Joey was he really cared about his sister.

Well, one down, nine to go…
