Clash of the Titans
Marik clocked out of his shift with a sigh of relief. He had to leave Hayden's party early to report to work. Now, there was nothing to do but go home and spend time with his husband and the family.
He changed out of his costume gratefully. He hated dressing up as a pirate, but it was for his family. For them, any amount of pointless work was worth it.
"See you tomorrow, Ishtar," Chad said as he left the locker room.
"Bye," the Egyptian said as he put on his shirt.
He grabbed his wallet and his jacket and closed his locker. He left the front doors and walked down the street where he parked his car.
The bitter chill bit through the winter coat. "Looks like I'm going to need a new winter coat. I miss the desert. It never got THIS cold at night."
Marik saw someone approach him from the front. He moved to avoid the figure, but the figure once again moved into his path. Marik growled as the figure refused to get out of his way.
The figure and Marik stopped. The yami tried to step around the figure, but the man stepped in his way.
"Get out of my way," Marik growled.
"Marik Ishtar? Spirit of the Millennium Rod?"
Marik grabbed the Millennium Rod from inside his jacket. "What's it to you, punk?"
"You will come with us."
Marik heard footsteps behind him. A group of dark figures surrounded him. Marik turned his head to see the figures surrounding him on all sides.
"What if I refuse?"
"Then we will have no choice but to use force to get you to do what we say."
Marik snarled and removed the dagger of the Millennium Rod. "If you want me, you'll have to fight me!"
Two figures charged at him from the back and Marik leapt into the air to avoid them. He landed on his feet and looked around at the figures. They looked strangely familiar, but the dark streets allowed little possibility of getting a good look at them.
Three figures charged at him. He kicked one figure in the stomach and watched it fall. He punched the one figure and slammed the Millennium Rod into the third figure. The third figure howled in pain.
Marik watched the figure fall under the street light. "Feral Imp!"
A figure attacked him from behind and brought his staff against Marik's neck, choking him.
Marik took the Millennium Rod and slammed the figure holding him. The figure didn't budge.
Marik recognized the monster with the staff as the "Dark Magician of Chaos."
The blond yami went to hit the monster holding him again as another monster grabbed the Rod.
"Horus' Servant" grabbed the Millennium Rod as the "Mobius the Frost Monarch" punched Marik in the stomach.
The yami winced and coughed as the monster punched him across the face.
The "Dark Magician of Chaos" allowed Marik to fall to the cement.
The Frost Monarch grabbed Marik's hair and held him up as the "Pharaoh's Servant" bound Marik's arms behind his back and gagged him.
"Pharaoh Yami will be pleased that we have done his bidding," Mobius said. "On your feet!"
Mobius picked Marik up by the hair. "Walk!"
"Horus' Servant" opened the portal to the Shadow Realm and held the Millennium Rod in his hand.
********************************
The monsters lead the bound and gagged yami to the Shadow Realm. The Winged Dragon of Ra appeared and roared furiously at the treatment of his master.
The Dark Magician of Chaos fired at the dragon, but the dragon refused to surrender. It dove from the sky and snapped its jaws at the Feral Imp.
Mobius the Frost Monarch and the Dark Magician of Chaos fired two identical beams of energy at the god and it flew away.
Marik growled as he watched his dragon retreat.
Marik was lead towards the Shadow Realm Badlands.
The group saw a small child playing with The Loyal Servant by the boarder.
The Helpless Child stood up, his tattered clothing flowing in the wind. "That's 'Horus' Servant'! He's my master's card! What is he doing going into the Badlands?"
The Loyal Servant crossed her arms. "The question is, why does he have your Master's father with his arms tied behind his back and gagged?"
The Helpless Child looked up sadly. "I can't interfere. I'm not strong enough."
The Loyal Servant narrowed her eyes. "If there's one thing I cannot stand, is a traitor!"
The Loyal Servant approached the group. "What is the meaning of this?! Why do you have this man tied like a common criminal?"
Mobius pushed her. "Stand aside, little girl."
The Loyal Servant removed her sword from her sheath. "I am stronger than you! You will tell me what you plan to do with him!"
Mobius and the Dark Magician of Chaos pointed their weapons at her. "You cannot survive an attack by both of us. I suggest you leave us."
The Helpless Child moved in front of The Loyal Servant. "No, let them be."
The Loyal Servant watched furiously as the group entered the Badlands.
Marik and the crowd climbed the stairs up to the temple.
Marik was pushed harshly by the Frost Monarch.
They showed him into a room where Yami had a throne, a stone altar, and a post set up the corner of the room.
"Ahhh…..Marik…Jibade….Ishtar."
Marik narrowed his eyes at the pharaoh.
Mobius the Frost Monarch pushed Marik onto the ground. "Kneel before your new master!"
Marik looked up at the pharaoh looking down at him with disgust. Marik tried to struggle to his feet.
"Marik, it's so good to see you again!"
Mobius pulled Marik to his knees. "Kneel before him!"
Marik narrowed his eyes and stood up.
"Defiant, are we?"
Yami removed the gag.
"I don't kneel before a murderer."
Yami smirked. "What makes you think I'm a murderer?"
"You ordered your men to butcher my wife's tribe!"
"But I'm not the one who did the butchering! How does that make me a murderer?"
Marik growled. "You robbed me of my wife! You robbed me of Amunet!"
"My, how you must hate me!"
"Stop being such a fucking drama queen and let me go!"
Yami reached out and pat Marik's cheek. "All in good time, my feisty Noble counterpart."
Marik struggled against the rope that held him.
"Tie him to the post!"
"Get off of me!" Marik snarled as he struggled.
Mobius and the Feral Imp dragged the struggling Ishtar to the post in the corner. They tied his arms to the post.
"Itemri is going to know I am gone and come looking for me!"
Yami approached his helpless victim. "Do you really think Bakura could survive an attack by all of my monsters at a single time?"
"You're insane!"
Yami grabbed the Millennium Rod and held the dagger underneath Marik's chin. "Better an insane man than a dead man, wouldn't you agree?"
Marik used his leg to kick Yami back, making him fall on his ass. The Feral Imp raked its claws down Marik's face in retaliation.
Yami stood up, watching the red blood trickle down Marik's cheek. "Now do you see what will happen if you don't remember your place?"
The blond scowled up at the pharaoh. "Get your hands off of my Rod!"
Yami examined the golden item in his hand. "Don't worry, Marik. The Millennium Rod belongs to me now. I promise to take care of your precious little item." The pharaoh leaned down and gripped between Marik's legs roughly. "As for this Rod, I'll be taking that for my own soon enough."
Marik narrowed his eyes at the pharaoh, trying to hide his fear.
Yami stepped back and carried the Millennium Rod to the stone altar. He opened a book on the altar and raised the Millennium Rod.
"Ancient Powers of Dark and Light
Help me with your Powers of Strength and Might
Change My Form,
Make It Right
Alter My Appearance
So I may Make a Successful Flight
Adjust my appearance, my Faithful Egyptian god,
Alter my Appearance to the Spirit of the Millennium Rod!"
A rough wind blew. Marik lowered his head to prevent anything flying into his eye. Yami laughed as his body slowly changed.
When the wind died down, Marik was looking up into a carbon copy of himself.
"You leave my family alone, Yami!"
"Your family? Hmmm….they won't be my target….yet. You have seen that I can make my monsters do anything I wish. Imagine if I had your son here tied to this post…..or Ryou. Or Itemri. Do you think I would be as merciful to them as I am being merciful to you?"
Marik growled. "You stay away from my family, Yami! I'm warning you!"
"Or what will happen? You are in no position to tell me what to do. However, you hold the safety of your family in your hands. Be good, and I may not let them all die such a slow, painless death."
Marik spit in Yami's face. "You are a disgrace to the Nobility!"
Yami growled. "One good kick deserves an other."
Yami kicked Marik's face and punched him in the jaw.
"And you will be punished for that remark further when I get back. Goodbye, Ishtar."
Yami walked away in Marik's disguise. The Millennium Rod was gripped securely in his hands.
He closed his eyes. 'I have to warn Malik and tell him I'm here!'
//Malik! Malik!//
A wave of pain hit his head. "Ow….headache."
Mobius laughed. "Don't try to reach your husband through your mindlink. It won't work. This place is guarded by a magic unknown to you."
Marik tried again and once again winced with a migraine. "Malik….."
A wave of dizziness hit Marik as he slipped into unconsciousness.
***********************************
Yami appeared in front of the Domino Museum in the form of Marik's body. He walked up to the doors of the Domino Museum and blasted the doors down.
The two guards grabbed their weapons and aimed them at Yami.
"I don't think so."
Yami raised a hand and the men let out horrible screams. They dropped their weapons and fell to the floor looking like mummified corpses.
Yami walked casually down the hallway and towards the library. More guards approached him and pointed their weapons at him.
"FREEZE!"
Yami grinned. "Good idea."
The men's bodies became frozen and their skin turned white. The men had turned into ice figures.
Yami shook his head. "So many interruptions…."
Yami arrived at the Library and found one of the scholars working late.
The man turned around in shock. "Who are you?!"
The yami approached him. "Me? The Angel of Death."
The pharaoh in disguise grabbed the Millennium Rod and removed the dagger. He stabbed the scholar in the neck with the Rod.
The man fell onto the floor of the library dead.
Yami searched through the stacks of books. "It's going to take me forever to find that curse in here!"
************************
Marik felt something sharp poke him in the arm. He opened his eyes and shook his head to focus his sight. He looked up and saw the Celtic Guardian standing there.
The elf soldier looked down on Marik in pity, a large bruise was evident on his cheek.
"What? What do you want?"
The elf grunted and cocked his head to the side. "My Master ordered you to remain here?"
Marik lowered his head and closed his eyes. "I can't break the ropes."
The Celtic Guardian raised his sword and Marik closed his eyes tightly.
'Goodbye, Malik. Goodbye, Aten.'
The elf's sword cut the ropes binding Marik to the post.
Marik held up his wrists and looked at the red marks caused by the tightness of the rope.
"Why?"
The Celtic Guardian sheathed his sword. "I can't even survive one duel with Yami. I can't even survive one battle! I'm no sooner summoned and then I am killed! This is my revenge."
Marik stood up. "You realize you could get into trouble for this."
"It doesn't matter anymore, Yami Marik. All that matters is that you escape before Mobius and the Dark Magician of Chaos comes back. I sent them to prepare for Yami's return."
Marik gave a tiny smile. "Thank you, Celtic."
"Go, before you get caught."
Marik ran for the entrance to the temple. He ran down the stairs and stopped as another wave of nausea flooded him.
His Millennium Items was far away. Bakura and Marik could not be too far away from their items. In the mortal world, they would get sucked back into their items if their items were too far away from them. But in the Shadow Realm, they lost their energy. Without their items to give them strength, they were powerless.
'Have to get away….before…Yami comes back.'
Marik staggered away from the temple, unaware of where he was heading.
'I need the Millennium Rod….I…I need my home.'
Marik staggered through the cold, his body tired and hungry. 'Must…get….to…my….Item.'
Above him, he heard the roar of a dragon. He looked up as the golden dragon flew down to him. The dragon lowered its head to its master.
Marik fell to his knees before his dragon. "Ra……"
Marik fell forward onto the ground, surrounded by the Badlands.
***************************
Aten heard Aria come in the front door. She walked up the stairs and entered her room.
Aten put his paint and brush on a paper towel and walked up to the door of his sister's bedroom.
He knocked lightly. "Aria, can I come in?"
"Come in, Aten."
The teen walked into his sister's bedroom and shut the door behind him. "What is the big idea?"
Aria pulled the ribbons out of her hair. "What?"
"You didn't block me the entire time!"
Aria sat in front of her vanity. "Aten, I tried, okay?"
Aten growled at her. "You didn't try! I felt everything! I felt him touch you! I felt him in you! The least you could do is try not to make me feel him inside of you!"
Aria brushed her hair. "Aten, I did my best."
Aten walked over to her and grabbed the brush out of her hand angrily. "Bullshit! You scared me to god damn death, Aria! I ended up laying in Robbie's arms all night because I could feel him where I didn't need to feel him!"
Aria stood up and grabbed the brush from her brother's hand. "So, are you saying that I can't make love to my boyfriend because you can feel him and that freaks you out?!"
///You could feel him inside you just as if it were your own lovely grandfather coming for another round of 'playtime.'///
"You know what happened to me! Why didn't you even think of blocking me?!"
"You can block me, too, Aten! You probably WANTED to feel Umi inside of you!"
///That's it! Time for me to take over.///
Aten's hair spiked and his canines grew. "You little bitch!" Aten grabbed Aria's dress and pulled him close to her. "How would you feel it if Umi rammed that fucking thing into you DRY?! DO YOU THINK YOU WOULD ENJOY IT?!" Aten threw her against the post of her bed angrily. Aria held her back, knowing there would be a bruise in the morning. "How do you think it would feel, Aria?! I would hope that as my sister, you would have one speck…one FUCKING OUNCE…of understanding! But I see that Understanding is wasted on a prissy little princess like yourself!"
Aria growled and her hair spiked. Her canines and her nails grew in length. "How dare you call me a bitch! The least you could have done is given Umi and I some privacy!"
"It's kinda hard to give you your privacy when you won't shut off your half of the link and you're moaning louder than someone on their deathbed! Your father is going to KILL you when he finds out!"
Aria crossed her arms. "He's not going to find out!"
Aten snickered. "Mother will know. Mother is perceptive."
"I can hide this, no problem! Don't go blabbing your fat mouth all over the house that you felt me with Umi!"
Aten stepped up to her and looked down at her. "Or…what?"
Aria growled. "You wouldn't!"
Aten grabbed her chin. "Wouldn't I?"
"You're a bastard!"
"So are you."
Aria pushed Aten away from her. "No, my parents are married! You're the bastard, Aten! Nothing you can do or say will change the fact that you are the bastard in this family!"
Aten reached out and grabbed her neck tightly. "You have room to talk! Spreading your legs to him as if you were his 'Catch of the Day.' How many others have dipped their nets into your ocean?"
"I could ask the same of you!"
///She's right, Aten. How many others have had a piece of you? Steven…..Charlie…..even Malik had a piece of you as he was controlled by a mysterious power./// (Note: Aku isn't going to tell Aten that he was the one controlling Malik, guys.)
///Tim had a piece of you. Jessica had her little fun. That makes five people who have enjoyed your ocean tides, Aten. Oh…wait…there's six! Let us not forget that time in the house where Hayden---///
/STOP! STOP RIGHT THERE! Don't go on!/
Aten released Aria's neck. His hair fell, his canines shortened. "At least yours was consensual, Aria. At two years old, I had no choice. At three years old, I couldn't struggle. At twelve, I…..I was too afraid to fight back. I thought you of all people would have understood that."
Aria saw her brother stagger back and bury his face in his hands, sobbing. Her hair fell and she reached out.
"Aten, I'm sorry."
Aten looked down at her. "No, you're not. I'm sorry I confided in you. I never should have opened up to you at all. I won't ever do it again."
Aten turned to leave and Aria grabbed his arm. Aten jumped. "Let go of me."
"Aten, I---."
Aten turned and pushed her onto the ground roughly. "Get away from me!"
Aria looked up and saw her brother leave the room. "Aten…What have I done?"
Aten returned to his room and shut his door. The teen sat on his bed and buried his face in his hands.
"I tried to fight….I failed…"
"Master…"
Aten looked up and saw 'Horus' Servant' standing before him. "What do you want? I'm in no mood right now."
"Your father needs you."
Aten wiped his eyes free of tears. "My father is working."
"No, my master. He is in the Shadow Realm…and he is hurt."
Aten's eyes widened. "Hurt?!" Aten grabbed the silver Millennium Rod and stood up. "Take me to him!"
Horus' Servant opened a portal to the Shadow Realm. Aten walked through the portal and looked around in the purple haze.
"Master Aten," a child said as he ran up to him.
Aten smiled and pat the three year old child on the head. "Hello, have you seen my father?"
The Ultimate Obedient Fiend appeared beside The Helpless Child and kneeled before him.
///The servant of your dark half….The Ultimate Obedient Fiend.///
"My Master….."
"Have you seen my father? Horus told me that he's here in the Shadow Realm and that he's hurt!"
The Ultimate Obedient Fiend stood up. "I will help you find him."
"I'll help you, too, Aten," The Helpless Child said standing beside him.
Aten walked towards the Badlands and squinted to see in the distance. "Father!"
His voice echoed through the barren region.
Horus walked ahead. "I sense something this way."
Aten ran ahead. "Father! Dad! Father!"
His monsters followed behind him as two figures slowly appeared in the shadows.
"Daddy!"
Aten saw his father collapsed on the ground and the Winged Dragon of Ra standing over him.
"Father! Sweet Isis!"
The Winged Dragon of Ra growled as Aten approached.
Aten kneeled beside his father and rolled him over on his back. He brushed his fingers lightly over the bruise on his cheek. "Oh, father….wake up."
Marik moaned on the ground.
Aten looked up at the Winged Dragon of Ra. "How long has been unconscious?"
"Not long now."
Aten looked up at the Ultimate Obedient Fiend. "I'm not strong enough and cannot lift him. I have a bad heart."
The tall fiend kneeled by Marik's side. "I will carry him for you, master."
Aten looked around. "Where is his Item? Where's the Millennium Rod?"
"The Rod is missing."
Aten looked down at his father and brought his upper body into his arms. "He can't recover without his Item. Father…"
"I will search for it," The Helpless Child said. "I'll get your sister's card to help me."
The Ultimate Obedient Fiend took Marik in his arms and carried him out of the Shadow Realm.
The Fiend carried Marik into his own room. Aten grabbed a wet cloth and put it on Marik's cheek.
"I can take it from here," Aten said.
The monster disappeared as Malik opened the door. "Aten! Marik!"
Malik ran by Aten's side. "I didn't see him come in! Why is his cheek bruised?"
"I found him in the Shadow Realm beat up like this. I had the Ultimate Obedient Fiend help me carry him out."
Marik opened one eye slowly.
"Oh, thank Ra! Father, what happened to you?"
Marik slowly raised his hand and winced.
"No, baby, don't move," Malik said as he put Marik's arm down.
Aten placed the cold wet cloth on top of the bruise. "Here you go, father. Just relax. I'll take care of you."
"Aten….I'm supposed to take care of you."
"It's my turn to take care of you now."
Malik took Marik's hand. "Tell me what happened."
Marik groaned. "I was…coming home from work. Duel Monsters attacked me….took me to the Shadow Realm."
"Monsters? Whose monsters?"
"Feral Imp…."
Aten looked up at Malik. "Yami's monsters?"
Marik nodded. "Yes…..but he left. He took my Millennium Rod."
Malik released Marik's hand and ran out of the room. A few moments later, Bakura and Malik entered the room.
"For Ra's sake! Don't tell me Yami's back again!"
Aten grabbed the silver Rod. "I'm going after him!"
"Son, you're too weak!"
///So, that's what he thinks of us? He thinks we're weak.///
"I'm not going to let him get away with this!"
Bakura grabbed Aten's arm. "I'm going with you, Aten. You're not going to face him alone!"
Bakura stood by Marik's side and kissed the bruise gently. "I'll be back soon, Ishtar. You rest here."
"Water…."
"I'll take care of him, Bakura. You two go."
Bakura opened up a portal to the Shadow Realm and entered. Dark Necrofear appeared beside the Helpless Child.
"Where is the pharaoh?"
Dark Necrofear shook her head. "He is not here, Lord Bakura."
Bakura growled. "I wish to see for myself. Where does he stay?"
"The Templein the Badlands."
The Helpless Child tapped Aten's leg. "I'll show you there. Horus' Servant took me there once." The child lead them towards the Badlands. "Horus has been working undercover, so to speak. He's been keeping an eye on the evil pharaoh's plans. Yami thinks that Horus is loyal to him. And, because he's a pharaoh and thinks all of the gods are supporting him, Yami doesn't suspect Horus' Servant of treachery. However, he was involved in Marik's kidnapping."
Aten stopped short. "WHAT?! My own monster kidnapped my father?"
"Mobius the Frost Monarch wanted to destroy your father, master. Horus went to make sure that your father was not destroyed."
"How could anything kill my father? He's already dead."
Bakura turned to Aten. "Mobius could have drained Marik's energy to the point of exhaustion. If he couldn't retreat into his item, he couldn't recover. He'd be defenseless."
Aten crossed his arms. "So, Horus saved my father."
"Your father would be worse off if Horus wasn't there."
They approached the temple and Bakura looked around. He grabbed his dagger from the sheath which was buckled to his belt. He held it in front of him, waiting for anything.
They climbed the stairs, keeping an ear out for an ambush. Aten gripped the silver Rod.
///I'm taking over, Aten. In case you see the pharaoh, you'll need me to protect you.///
Bakura stopped as he saw the Egyptian teen's hair spike. His eye became black as coal. The Sennen Eye appeared on his forehead. Bakura noticed a slight change in the appearance of Yami Aten. Yami Aten's fingernails turned crimson as they sharpened.
"You look…different," the former tomb robber observed. Bakura and the family knew Aten had a yami, but not his demeanor seemed more menacing. When Yami Aten turned to Bakura, even the thief had to resist the urge to shudder in fear.
The yami grinned. "I am complete," the deep voice said with a smile. "I have found my missing counterpart. The other half of my tortured soul has returned. Fed by nightmares and nursed by misfortune, my powers will become most destructive. When I finally obtain my true Item, this silver Rod will be nothing more than a decoration."
"Your Item?"
"The Scepter of Ra. That is my true item. All of the Millennium Items are just tinker-toys compared to the Scepter of Ra and the Millennium Trident, my sister's Item. Now let's see if the pharaoh is in here. I have a thirst for blood." Yami Aten continued up the steps.
'Are we sure he's Ishtar's kid?' Bakura thought to himself.
They entered the temple and looked around.
No monsters could be seen.
"I guess he's not here," The Helpless Child said.
Yami Aten growled. "PHARAOH! SHOW YOURSELF!"
Only Aten's voice resonated through the room.
Bakura stepped into the next chamber. In the corner was a post where Marik's ropes remained.
"I don't feel his presence," Yami Aten growled as he approached the throne.
Bakura held up the Ring. "Millennium Ring, point to where the Millennium Rod is located."
The Ring did not move.
"Point towards the Millennium Puzzle."
The Ring did not move.
"Yami is not in the Shadow Realm," Yami Aten said.
The Helpless Child stepped in front of Aten. "I will look for your daddy's Item. If I find it, I will bring it to you."
"Thank you. It's time for us to go…and continue the hunt."
Bakura opened a portal to the mortal world and they stepped through.
Aten heard a tap on his door. "Come in."
Aria opened the door slowly. "Aten? Can I talk to you for a minute? Alone?"
Bakura turned to Aten. "I'll be downstairs."
"I want to track down the pharaoh with you."
"Aten, it's late and you just got out of the hospital!"
"I wish to go."
Bakura sighed. "Okay. Don't be long, Aria."
Aria closed the door behind her father. "Aten?"
/Let me talk to my sister./
Aten's hair fell and he returned to himself. "What?"
Aria stepped up to Aten. "I'm awfully sorry that I spoke to you the way that I did, Aten. It was wrong of me. I crossed the line." She wiped her teary eyes. "You confided in me, Aten, and that means a lot to me. You've always been there for me. I'm very sorry. Please forgive me, brother. Don't hate me."
Aten watched his sister break down sobbing. He reached out and put his hands on her shoulders. "You did cross the line, Aria. I was wrong, too. I should not have burst into your room and started with you the way that I did." Aten reached up and brushed her neck. "Sorry if I hurt you." Aten leaned down and kissed the spot on his sister's neck where he had grabbed her violently earlier.
Aria opened her arms. "Can….can I hug you?"
Aten smiled. "You're always welcome to hug me."
Aria threw herself at Aten and hugged him. "I love you, Aten! I really do."
The teen caressed his sister's hair. "I love you, too, Aria. I have to go and track down Yami."
Aria stepped back. "Why? You just got out of the hospital! You shouldn't be chasing Yami around Domino."
"He kidnapped my father and hurt him. I'm going to show him that screwing with the Ishtar family is a dangerous mistake."
Aten's eyes went black again and he grabbed the silver Rod. "I cannot stay, sister."
Aria grabbed Aten's arm. The Egyptian turned around and saw his sister with spiked hair and red and black eyes. Her canines had grown. "I'm coming, too. You're not facing him alone."
"You should get some rest, Aria. It may be dangerous."
"I know how dangerous the pharaoh can be. I'm not letting anything happen to you."
Aten grinned. "Let's go."
***************************
Bakura looked down at the Ring as he stopped at the red light. "It's pointing nearby."
The light turned color and Bakura drove ahead. The pointers shifted to the Domino Museum as they approached.
"What the---?" Aten gasped.
A crowd of reporters and police surrounded the museum. Bodies were being removed on stretchers.
Bakura stopped the car and he lead the kids to the reporters. "What happened here?"
The reporter turned to him. "Some bodies were found in the Domino Museum."
"Bodies?" Aten asked. "Any survivors?"
"No."
A police woman approached the trio. "Nothing to see here, folks. Go back to your homes."
Bakura looked down at the Ring's pointers. They began twirling haphazardly. "Damn it! Something is interfering with the Ring. It's not detecting anything now."
"Return to your homes. Nothing to see here," the woman cop said again.
Two more bodies were carried out of the museum.
The trio returned to the car. They looked at the Millennium Ring's pointers, still twirling.
"We lost his track."
Aten growled. /Pharaoh, you won't get away with this!/
******************************
Yami grinned as he found the spell to interfere with the magic of the individual Millennium Items.
He read through the spell to interfere with the Millennium Ring.
"Now Bakura won't be able to track me."
Yami looked at the Millennium Rod. "Shall I render the Millennium Rod obsolete? Marik, the Millennium Rod will no longer be your saving grace!"
Yami looked at the spell.
"Ancient Magic of centuries old
Release yourself from this Item's gold
Remove the powers from this ancient piece
Obey my command and let all powers cease!"
Yami laughed loudly. "All will tremble beneath my power!"
Yami heard a commotion in the hallway and grabbed the book. "Time for me to run…."
The pharaoh grabbed the book and walked out of the library. Two policemen stopped him as he was walking into the lobby.
"STOP RIGHT THERE!"
Yami chuckled. "You have to be kidding me!"
The pharaoh raised his hand and held out a palm to the police. The cops gave a quick scream and fell mummified to the ground.
"It's been a long day. I should find out what my Aibou is up to."
Yami casually left the building, encountering more cops outside waiting to bring him into their custody. "You will all pay the ultimate price for standing in my way!"
********************************
Yugi dried the dishes as Glenn put the dry dishes away.
"That was the best ravioli dinner I've had in a long time!" Yugi said licking his lips.
Glenn smiled proudly. "Yeah, I worked hard on them. That was Otogi's recipe for homemade raviolis."
Yugi laughed. "I worry about Otogi sometimes."
"He's a cool guy. I've known him for a long time and he is an awesome businessman!"
Glenn nodded. "I know. I love Dungeon Dice Monsters! I was regional champ in his tournament when his game first came out."
"You always kick my ass in that game."
Glenn stepped behind Yugi and wrapped his arms around him from behind. "Yeah, but I always kiss it and make it all better, don't I?"
Yugi put down the glass he was drying and smiled as he leaned back into his lover.
Glenn kissed the side of Yugi's neck. Yugi had taken a growth spurt and his shoulders came to Glenn's chest, so it was easy for Glenn to lean down and kiss him.
The duelist turned his head and kissed Glenn on the lips.
Yugi moaned as he felt hands run up and down his stomach and his chest.
The shorter man turned and leaned against the countertop. Glenn pressed Yugi against the countertop.
Unknown to them, a figure stepped to the kitchen window. His eyes glowed red with fury.
Yugi and Glenn kissed and smiled at each other. Yugi wrapped his arms around his lover's shoulder.
"I'm a very lucky man, Yugi," Glenn said with a smile.
The figure outside growled and ground his teeth.
Yugi reached down and held Glenn's hips close to him. "I'm the lucky one, Glenn."
The shorter man removed Glenn's shirt and kissed his lover's chest lightly. Yugi kissed lower and kneeled before his lover.
Yami watched with growing rage as Yugi nuzzled his cheek into Glenn's stomach and saw Glenn's pants being pulled down.
The former pharaoh gripped the Millennium Rod tightly as deadly rage flooded through his veins.
"Yugi," Glenn moaned as Yugi swallowed around his manhood.
Yami clenched his fists tightly. 'Yugi, you are going to pay for this treachery!'
Glenn buried his fingers in Yugi's hair and sighed as Yugi deep-throated him.
Glenn put his hand on Yugi's forehead and ran his thumb over Yugi's skin. "Yugi…."
The shorter man removed himself from Glenn. "Yes?"
"Let's go upstairs."
Yugi stood up and took Glenn's hand. They disappeared from the kitchen.
Yami kicked the side of the Game Shop. "I cannot believe my Light found someone else! No! This can't happen! Yugi is only meant to be with me! I won't let him be with anyone else!"
Yami ran around to the front of the Game Shop. "Open the door!" The Millennium Puzzle glowed and the lock snapped open. He walked inside and saw Solomon's picture by the cash register. Yugi was smiling happily next to his grandfather.
Yami heard twin moans come from upstairs. Yami saw himself in a mirror. The image of Marik looked back at him. He was still assuming Marik's appearance.
"Glenn…..I love you," came from Yugi upstairs in a long moan.
Yami continued to climb the steps. He looked into the room where he had lived when he and Yugi were living together. The room was full of boxes of merchandise.
He creeped towards Yugi's room.
He looked inside to watch Yugi and Glenn naked. Yugi kneeled behind Glenn and started moving inside of him. Glenn leaned back and kissed Yugi gently on the lips.
Yugi's hands wrapped around his lover and stroked his manhood. Glenn breathed heavily as he leaned against Yugi.
Yami growled quietly. 'How dare he think of taking someone else!'
The pharaoh watched as sweat poured down their naked bodies. His ears seemed to magnify Glenn's moans of ecstasy.
'You both are going to pay dearly for this!'
Glenn raised his hips into Yugi's grip, kissing his lover again. Yugi moaned into the kiss as he rocked his hips into his lover quicker.
Yami looked down at himself, feeling the jeans tighten around him.
Yugi buried his face in the side of Glenn's neck as he felt Glenn tense around him.
Glenn threw his head back and whimpered Yugi's name. Yugi watched as Glenn climaxed.
The shorter man brought Glenn into a kiss as he released into his lover.
Yami growled and disappeared into the Shadow Realm.
The pharaoh entered the Shadow Realm. He grumbled until he reached his temple. 'It's a good thing Marik is in my chamber. I can take out all of my frustration on him.'
He entered his chamber and found Marik gone.
"What the hell?! MOBIUS!"
The duel monster entered. "Yes, Master."
"Where did Marik go?"
"He escaped."
Yami slapped his monster's cheek. "I ordered you to watch him and he escaped!"
"My deepest apologies, Master Yami."
Yami snarled. "Go get me The Helpless Child! Find him! Bring him here! He was one of my favorites back in Egypt. Just because he's a duel monster now does not mean that his duties are finished. Go find him!"
Mobius left.
Yami growled. 'Yugi, you will pay DEARLY for your betrayal.'
