Malik and Aria looked around as they emerged from the food store. They looked around cautiously for any police presence in the dark.
Malik was still a wanted man. The only way Malik had not been caught by the police was going out at night for any type of shopping…and even then, it was dangerous.
Aria stopped short and shoved Malik into an alley as she saw a police car come down the block. She held her bag and watched the car pass by her. The warm spring air made her spiky hair fly in the breeze.
“Okay, Malik. It's clear.”
Malik emerged from the alley. “It's a good thing you have good eyesight.”
She giggled. “That's part of being half yami. Good eyesight and good hearing.”
They walked down the street as police emerged from a nearby apartment store. The men in blue turned towards Aria and Malik.
“HEY, YOU! STOP!”
Malik let out a scream and ran away from the police. “Time to go, Aria!”
Aria followed Malik, running away. `I should gather my Shadow Magic to bring down these fools! But…what will the consequences be to my child?'
Malik turned down a street as he heard sirens approach them. “Aria! You okay?!”
“Don't worry about me! Come on! Turn left!”
Malik and Aria turned the corner and ran quickly. “Captain Smiley Buns! KaibaCorp!”
Aria panted as she ran, her baby kicking from her escape from the police. “We have to get to Seto! He'll help!”
They heard a loud bang behind them and concrete chip behind them.
“They're firing at us, Aria!”
“We're almost there!”
Aria jumped as a bullet hit the `Stop' sign beside her. She let out a frightened gasp and kept running.
“Into the shadows!” she called to Malik as they approached KaibaCorp.
Malik ran and grabbed Aria's wrist. He pulled her as she slowed her pace.
“Malik….I can't run anymore!”
“Aria! Come on! They'll shoot you if you don't run!”
Three more bullets were fired and they ran up the steps.
Malik and Aria screamed at the top of their lungs, banging on the door.
“SETO! HELP!”
“UNCLE SETO! OPEN UP! HELP!”
Alex approached the door with the keys, squinting to see who was there.
“ALEX! HELP! PLEASE!”
Alex rushed to the door and unlocked it. The sirens stopped in front of KaibaCorp. “Come in, you two! Quick!”
Alex locked the door behind Malik and Aria. “What are you two doing here?”
Aria sat on a bench holding her stomach and crying. “It hurts….”
Malik wrapped his arms around Aria, hugging her.
The old man put his hand on her stomach. “Everything feels okay, Aria. What are you two doing here?”
Asher stepped out of the Public Relations Department office and saw Aria and Malik sitting on the bench, panting heavily.
Asher approached them. “Aria? Why you cry?”
Aria looked up at Asher and reached out for him. Asher leaned down to hug her, his right eye twitching. “Hugs are good.”
The police knocked on the door and Aria whimpered.
“Asher, I can't run anymore!”
Alex turned to the two. “I'll handle this. Don't say a word.” Alex opened the door.
“We have tracked Malik Ishtar to this place. He's wanted on rape and murder charges.”
Alex shrugged. “You must have made a mistake, officer. I've been on patrol all night in this very lobby and I have seen no one enter here.”
“Are you certain you saw nobody enter here?”
“You saw yourself, officer. I had to unlock these doors to speak to you. No one could have come into this place without us knowing it.”
The cop looked around suspiciously. “Is anyone else here with you?”
“Asher? Come here. This is Asher. He hasn't seen anyone.”
The tall pyromaniac stepped behind Alex. “Yes, Alex?”
“Nobody has come in here tonight, right?”
Asher nodded. “No. Nobody has come in here. If anyone did come in here, I would---.”
“Thank you, Asher. See, officers? Nobody is here. Just Asher and I.”
The men raised an eyebrow as they looked at Asher. “Have we seen you somewhere before?”
“No……I've been….burning the midnight oil here. Watching it burn….” Asher's left eye twitched and spasmed.
Alex smiled at the men. “Asher and I are the only guards here tonight and Asher just finished patrolling this place thoroughly. Didn't you, Asher?”
“Yes, Alex. I dunned what you told me to do.”
“Asher has the eye of an eagle, officers. Nothing would have slipped past this man's eyes.”
Alex mentally snickered at his deception of the police.
“Who is your supervisor?”
“Donald is the head of the department. He's not here right now. He's at home.”
The police wrote down the name. “Your name?”
“Alexander J Millota.”
The police used their flashlights to look into the building. “If you find Malik Ishtar, please contact Headquarters. He appeared to have a pregnant woman with him. He may be planning to rape and murder her, like he did with the others. Keep an eye out.”
“Oh, I will, officer. Goodnight.”
Alex and Asher watched the police leave.
“Bad men hurt Aria! I make them go BOOM!”
Alex shook his head. “No, Asher. Leave them alone. They were doing their job. They have little children to feed.”
“Then I make children go BOOM!”
Alex shook his head. “They were doing their job, Asher. No burning!”
“BY FIRING GUNS AT US THEY WERE DOING THEIR JOB?!” Malik gasped.
“I don't write their policy books, Malik. I don't think you should leave here yet. At least, not until things calm down outside. Aria? Are you okay?”
Aria closed her eyes and tilted her head back. “Seto….Unkie Seto.”
Alex walked to the front security desk. “Master Kaiba, I'm sorry to interrupt you…..I have Malik Ishtar and Aria down here, sir……I don't know why, sir……okay.” Alex hung up the phone and walked to the water cooler to get Aria and Malik a drink. He walked over to the two sitting on the chair.
“Here you go, Malik. Here you go, child. Drink slowly. Careful not to spill.”
Aria quickly drank the water. “Thank you, Alex.”
“It's no problem.”
“Bad men need burn, Alex,” Asher said as he looked out of the glass doors.
“Yes, Asher, I know. I agree, but we can't right now or Seto will be accused. Go burn a candle in the office if you need to watch something burn.”
Asher's eyes widened. “Candle….burn….good.”
The pyromaniac disappeared into the office.
Alex stood by Aria holding her hand. “Deep breaths, child. Deep…slow…breaths.”
Seto emerged from the elevator running towards them.
“Aria! Malik! Why the unexpected visit?”
Malik took a deep breath. “The cops caught us tonight. We needed food in the house and I've been going shopping at night to get what we need for the house.”
“You're still being pursued by the cops?”
Malik nodded. “Yes. These murders keep happening and they still find my DNA at the scene! The body count is up to fifty people raped and/or murdered!”
Seto narrowed his eyes. “I can help you. Aria, can you stand?”
Seto reached out for her and took Aria's hand. A scene flashed inside their minds.
******Flashback***************
Seth looked at his pregnant servant girl sitting in the gardens. He approached her and looked down at her. With a soft hand, he stroked her cheek.
“How are you this morning, my angel?”
Aria looked up at him. “Good, Seth. I was just admiring the flowers in bloom. They're so pretty!”
Seth took a flower in his hand and smelled it. Its fragrance surrounded him. “They are pretty flowers….but no prettier than you. You are the most beautiful flower in this garden, Aria.”
The girl blushed. “Aww, Seth. Would you like to walk around the gardens? We can admire their beauty together.”
“I can help you. Aria, can you stand?”
Seth offered her a hand and helped her to her feet. His eyes gazed into the brown pools of her eyes.
“I love you, Aria.”
“My love for you knows no boundaries, my dear, sweet Seth.”
Seth leaned down and kissed his servant girl's lips…..
******END FLASHBACK*************************
Seto shook his head as Aria was standing beside him. “Ow…headache.”
“Seth, are you feeling okay?” Aria asked as she raised her hand to stroke Seto's cheek.
Seto's eyes widened. “'Seth?' Aria, it's me. Seto.”
Her eyes shifted uncomfortably. “I….did call you Seto….didn't I?”
Seto and Aria looked at each other for a moment as if to make sure if what they had experienced was real.
Malik put his hand on Aria's shoulder. “It's probably the shock of what just happened, Aria. Let's go with Seto.”
“O—Okay. You're right,” she sighed.
Aria followed Seto and Malik into the elevator thinking. `That wasn't a dream……was it? I thought these visions would have stopped as I grew older….but they're not stopping….they're getting more common.'
She felt her baby moving, bringing her back to reality.
Seto lead Aria and Malik to his bedroom. “Aria, you can lay down and rest here while I talk to Malik.”
“Okay. The baby's a little restless right now.”
“If you need anything, just call my desk.”
“Okay. Thank you, Set----Seto.”
Aria watched the two men walk away. She stepped slowly into Seto's bedroom and looked around at the red velvet curtains and the gold bed with the velvet canopy. She walked towards the bed and laid on Seto's side of the bed.
She breathed deeply, inhaling the scent of Seto on the pillows. She closed her eyes, the scent of Seto swirling about her head.
Aria sighed in exhaustion as the room seemed to spin.
********Flashback******
Aria moaned as the High Priest leaned down and kissed her neck, peppering gentle kisses around her jugular vein.
She held her Royal Lover against her, enjoying the sensation of someone she had loved.
The High Priest kissed along her collarbone as she breathed deeply. She could smell his excitement….she could feel the sweat forming on his body….she could feel his arousal slowly springing to life between her legs.
“Seth…..my love,” Aria moaned as she felt Seth's hands lovingly cup her breast in his hand.
Seth's kisses flowed down her chest as his tongue flickered over a nipple. “Aria….my beautiful goddess….I love you so much….How is it that you can do this to me? That you can make me feel this way?”
“How is it that a High Priest can fall in love with his servant girl?”
Seth kissed up her chest again and her neck. “I don't see you as my servant girl, Aria. I see you as a woman that I love….no matter if she be a common girl…a girl of Noble blood….or a goddess…such as yourself.”
Aria smiled and pulled down Seth for a kiss. “Seth….make love to me.”
**********End Flashback****************
Aria's eyes snapped open and she sat up quickly in the bed. She looked around the room. She was alone.
She covered her eyes and breathed heavily.
“Seto is my uncle! How could I have dreams of him like that?!”
Aria rolled out of bed and ran into the bedroom. She looked at herself in the mirror.
“Why can't I stop dreaming of Seth…I mean, Seto! I could never sleep with Uncle Seto!....That would be like sleeping with my dad!” A shudder shot up her spine. “Why do I keep dreaming about this stuff? These dreams were never this intense when I was a little girl!” Aria splashed cold water on her face. “Something's wrong if I'm dreaming about my Uncle Seto that way.”
**************************************
Seto typed his password into the computer and narrowed his eyes at the screen. “I'm amazed the cops didn't get your name from the school.”
“They don't know I have kids. I'm in the computers as single still. My marriage to Marik and the kids are not in my file.”
Seto nodded. “Whose name is on Aten's birth certificate?”
“Marik's name is on the birth certificate.”
Seto grabbed a handful of M&M's on his desk. He shoved them into his mouth and chewed them. “Well, there's a simple solution to this, Malik. It's drastic, but it will hopefully distract them for a while.”
“What are you going to do?”
“Wipe you from everyone's memory.”
Malik looked around nervously. “What?”
“I'm going to wipe you completely from the city's system. This way, they will have no record of your address and you can't be tracked down by any means. When was your birthday?”
“December 23rd 1987.” (don't forget it's not 2005 now in my story.)
“When did you come to the United States?”
Malik sighed. “April 15th, 1998. I was ten years old.”
Seto typed a series of keystrokes into the computer. “Okay, Malik…..no one will be able to trace you. You are now eliminated from the police and city database. Your image has also been erased along with your profile. Only a memory of you exists, Malik.”
”How did you do that? Get access to their computers?!”
”How did you do that? Get access to their computers?!”
Seto grinned. “I'm Seto Kaiba. I can get access to anything for the right price. Besides, I have the ability to get into anything I want….for better or for worse.”
Malik sighed. “I guess so.”
“Don't worry, Malik. When all this shit is taken care of, I only need to touch one button to bring you back into their database.”
Malik stood up and walked to the window looking down at the lit up city. “I don't know how to clear my name, Seto. How can I convince them that I didn't rape or kill anyone when every piece of evidence points to me?”
Seto shrugged. “I know how you feel. I don't know what I can do to return KaibaCorp to the giant it had once been. My Technology Department has been working overtime trying to invent new products. KaibaCorp is in serious danger now, Malik. I have thousands of people depending on me to feed their children and their families. I can't do that if nobody purchases our stuff. It's very irritating and there's a lot of pressure.” Seto stood up and moved beside Malik. He looked down at the city shrouded under the blanket of night. “I can't give up, Malik. Too many people are depending on me.”
Malik nodded. “I may not have thousands depending on me, but I do have Marik, Ryou, Bakura, and the kids counting on me. I want to be there for Aria when she gives birth to her baby. I want to be with my yami whom I love. I want to be there to play around with Bakura. And…..Seto….I don't want to be in prison. What if……Aten….?” Malik lowered his head. “I don't want to be absent for Aten's death. He's going to be married soon, too! I can't miss that!”
Seto turned his head to Malik and put his arm around him. “You won't miss it. I promise you that you won't miss anything.”
Malik looked up at the blue-eyed CEO. “How can you be sure?”
“Nobody hurts my friends and gets away with it.”
Malik stepped closer to Seto. “Thank you.”
The CEO gave the Egyptian a smile. “Don't worry, Malik. You're in good hands.”
“Seto?” a quiet voice called from behind them.
Seto and Malik turned to see Aria standing in the doorway. Tears were coming down her cheeks.
“I want to go home.”
“Aria? What's wrong?”
Aria lowered her head. “Umm…nothing.”
Seto released Malik and walked up to Aria slowly. “You always were a bad liar.”
Aria shrugged. “It's nothing. I want to go home to my parents. Umi's at my house waiting for me to come home.”
Seto nodded. “If you need to talk, Aria, you know where to find me.”
“Yes, Uncle Seto, I know.”
“Okay. Let me call Alex to take you home. I don't trust Asher taking you home. The last time I asked him to drive the car, he crashed it to watch it burn. So, he's no longer able to drive any more of my cars.”
**************************************
Alex brought Malik and Aria home. Malik told the story of how they had escaped the police and found refuge in KaibaCorp. Ryou ran to his daughter and brought her into his arms. He held her and kissed his daughter's cheek.
“Baby girl! Are you okay? You weren't hurt, were you?” Ryou asked, checking Aria's exposed skin for injuries or wounds.
“Mother, I'm okay. I wasn't hurt.”
Umi ran to her and hugged her tightly. “I'm so glad you weren't hurt, Little Mermaid!”
She held onto Umi. “I'm okay.”
Marik walked to his hikari and checked him for injuries. “Thank the gods you are not hurt!”
“Alex, thank you for bringing them home,” Bakura said.
“It was no problem, Bakura. I'm just glad that they were safe. Have a good night, gentlemen and lady.” Alex left with a small bow.
Aten and Robbie came down the steps and saw Aria hugging Umi, visibly upset. “Sister? What's wrong?”
“The cops caught Malik and I. They shot at us.”
Robbie and Aten gasped. “Are you both alright?”
“Yeah, we're fine.”
Marik and Bakura retreated to a corner of the room and murmured amongst themselves.
Marik looked up at the group. “Guys, there is something that we all need to discuss.”
Aten turned to his father. “What is that?”
“Everyone come into the kitchen.”
Marik and Bakura sat at opposite ends of the table. Ryou and Malik sat between them. Aten and Robbie stood by the countertop holding each other as the glare between the two yamis continued. Aria and Umi stood behind Ryou. Umi's arm was wrapped around Aria's waist lovingly.
Marik spoke first. “Both Aria and Aten are getting married. We need to discuss these weddings. We need to discuss who shall get first privledges.”
Bakura shook his head. “My daughter is getting married first, Ishtar. No ands, ifs, or buts.”
Marik leaned into the table. “I have a son, Itemri! By tradition, it is the OLDEST MALE who gets married first!”
“But Aten is the only son in this family! Your son is not the eldest here! My daughter is three minutes older than your son! That makes HER the eldest and should be entitled to marry first!”
Marik put his palms on the table. “Boys get married before females, Bakura! That has always been our way!”
Aria groaned and rolled her eyes. It wasn't always easy living with five thousand year old spirits who lived by their ancient ways. “Can we decide who is going to get married before this kid falls out of me, already?”
Ryou timidly raised a hand. “Can I say something here?”
“Ryou, this is the fathers' job to fight this out.”
Ryou stood up. “True….but I am THEIR mother! Why don't we marry both of them at the same time?”
Marik snickered. “We can't do it like that, Ryou! It's not the way that this works.”
“But, Marik, we can reasonably do it,” Malik said. “We have the money.”
Bakura turned to Malik. “A wedding is special. It's not fair if we marry both of them at the same time.”
Robbie nodded. “I managed to find a church who will marry Aten and I!”
Umi held Aria close. “I want to marry Aria on the sea!”
“See, Ryou? They both want to get married at different places,” Bakura said.
“And I already told Miranda that Robbie and Aten can have a Christian wedding, but Morgan had to take my family name! You can't back out of a marriage negotiation, Ryou! It's sacrilege and bad luck to the newlyweds.”
Bakura's hair spiked as he turned back to Marik. “My daughter gets married first!”
Marik growled. “My SON gets married first!”
Ryou shook his head. “I'm getting a headache.” Ryou stood up and went to the medicine cabinet. He popped a couple of Tylenol and drank a glass of water.
Robbie sighed. “Umi, what do you want to do? Do you want to get married first?”
Umi shrugged. “It really doesn't matter to me, Rob.”
Aria rubbed her belly as the baby jumped and started to kick. “I need to sit down.”
Aria sat beside Malik. “Father, it doesn't matter to us who gets married first.”
“Birth Order, Ishtar!” Bakura snarled.
“Tradition, Itemri!” Marik snarled back.
Aten sighed. He turned to Robbie. “I hope they don't settle this where all of their arguments are settled.”
“Where's that?”
“Where else? The bedroom.”
Robbie shuddered as he thought of the two yamis together. “That's too creepy to think about.”
“Daughter!” Bakura shouted.
“Son!” Marik argued.
Aria narrowed her eyes and slammed her open hands angrily on the table. “STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!”
The two yamis stopped shouting. They both turned towards the very pregnant girl breathing heavily at the table.
“It does not matter to us, you two, who gets married first! All I care about is marrying Umi! I don't care if I marry first or second! Why does it matter to you what some stupid five thousand year old tradition says? Just pick one for Ra sakes before I drop this baby here on the kitchen floor!”
Bakura and Marik sat back in their seats glaring at each other quietly.
“Father?” Aten stepped up timidly towards the table. “I…I know Aria's going to have her baby soon. I want her to be married before she has her baby.”
Umi put his hands on Aria's shoulders. “Aten, I know that you'd want to marry Robbie as soon as you can, considering……..everything.”
Aten gave a small smile. “Umi, I'm sure I have enough time to marry Robbie. I don't think Osiris will take me in the next hour or so.”
Aria stood up and walked around to her brother. “Brother, what do you wish?”
Aten looked down in thought. His eyes focused on the pregnant belly of his sister. The Egyptian took his sister's pale-white hand. “I want what you want.”
Aria nodded. “Okay. You and Robbie marry first.”
“Are you sure?”
Aria nodded. She knew her brother did not have a long time left and it was only fair that he get the privilege of marrying Robbie first. “Yes, brother.”
Aria reached out and hugged her brother. Aten felt the baby kick and move inside her body.
“Little One is a little active tonight, huh?”
Aria nodded. “Watch this!” Aria pulled up her shirt slightly. She rubbed the side of her belly.
“Come on, baby girl. Do this for Aten. Show him your little trick.”
Aten and the group watched as the baby's feet pressed against Aria's skin. The unborn child's feet could be seen pressed against Aria's stomach. The girl smiled happily.
“See? Isn't that cool?”
Ryou watched his daughter's smile and the tiny feet of his child's baby. He smiled at the sight of his happy daughter. It wouldn't be long now before he would have to care for another baby during his daughter's school days.
Bakura saw the tiny feet pressing against his daughter's stomach and his anger at Marik diminished. Getting his daughter upset was not a good thing….especially now.
Aten smiled and tickled the tiny feet which disappeared into her womb again.
“It's settled then,” the Egyptian teen smiled. He leaned over and kissed his sister on both cheeks. “There's no reason for us to fight about something this trivial. Love you, sister.”
“I, too, brother.”
Aten yawned. “I'm going upstairs for the night. I'm tired.” Aten went for his heart medication and swallowed two pills. He kissed his fiancé goodnight. “Sleep tight, Robbie. I'm going to bed.”
Robbie watched Aten yawn as he walked up the stairs.
******************************************
Robbie walked up the stairs slowly. Robbie was himself exhausted. It was difficult going to school during the day and planning a wedding at night.
He didn't mind the extra work, though. It would all be worth it in the end.
Robbie slowly entered Aten's room. The door creaked open. He shut the door behind him.
Aten was sleeping on top of the covers. The Egyptian did this when he collapsed from his medication. Sometimes there was no time to pull back the covers before he fell asleep from the effects of the pills.
Robbie watched Aten's fingers twitch in his sleep. His eyes fluttered and his body began to tremble.
“Oh gods…..no….” Aten whimpered in his sleep. “Stop….no….grandfather…..it hurts…stop.”
Robbie slowly walked to the bed when the floor creaked under his feet. “Oops.”
Aten's eyes shot open and he let out a menacing growl.
“Aten? Sorry. I didn't mean to---.”
Aten snarled. “Grandfather!”
The Egyptian jumped out of bed and grabbed Robbie by the collar.
“Aten! It's me! Robbie!”
“RA DAMN YOU, GRANDFATHER! DAMN YOU TO HELL!” Aten growled as he slammed Robbie against the door. “LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME!”
Robbie panted. “Aten! Stop! It's a nightmare! You're having a night--!”
The blue-eyed boy's head flew to the side as Aten punched him in the cheek.
“Aten…it's me!”
Aten spun Robbie around in the dark room and slammed him against the bureau, making some of his statues fall off of the floor. “RA DAMN, YOU GRANDFATHER! I'LL KILL YOU!”
“Aten!”
Aten backhanded Robbie in the dark and threw him against the desk. Robbie heard a crack in his back and he was sent to the floor.
The blue- eyed boy held his back as he felt Aten's long fingers grab his hair. Aten pulled his head back and Robbie felt Aten crawl on top of him.
“I'm going to fuck you like you've fucked up my entire life, you bastard!”
Robbie let out a scream as Aten pulled on his pants. He heard footsteps running quickly upstairs. The door opened and the light switch came on.
“ROBBIE! ATEN!” Ryou's voice called in alarm.
Robbie froze at the seething face before him. Aten's eyes were glazed over as they were in his many other flashbacks. Aten snarled viciously at Robbie.
Ryou grabbed Aten. “Sweetie, get off of Robbie!”
Marik entered the room and gasped. “WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE, MORGAN?!”
Robbie shuddered. “I just came upstairs and he attacked me! Aten! It's me!”
Aten's seething stopped and he looked down at Robbie, confused.
Why was Robbie looking so terrified?
Why was Robbie trembling underneath him?
“Robbie?”
“Aten, get off of me right now!”
Aten pulled back and looked around the room in shambles. Some of his figurines of monkeys had shattered on the floor. His pens and pencils had spilled over his desk.
“Sweet gods, what happened here?”
Ryou helped Robbie to his feet. The teen winced as pain shot up his spine.
“Are you okay, Robbie?” Ryou asked.
Robbie shook his head. “No…my back hurts…and my foot.”
Marik shifted his eyes uneasily between the two teens. “Will you two be okay?”
Aten nodded. “Yeah, dad, we'll be okay.”
Marik and Ryou left the two teens alone.
Robbie held his back as Aten approached.
“Robbie, I'm sorry,” Aten said reaching out for his fiancé.
“Aten, don't touch me!”
Aten stepped back in shock. Robbie…..didn't want to be touched?!
“Robbie, I'm so sorry.”
Robbie narrowed his eyes. “I told you to stop!”
“Robbie, I…..I didn't hear you.”
The blue-eyed teen narrowed his eyes. “So you didn't hear yourself when you said you would fuck me like I've fucked up your life?! What is that shit all about?”
“Robbie, I couldn't control it! I thought you were my grandfather!”
“Do I look like him, Aten?! DO I?! Tell me if I do!”
Aten narrowed his eyes. “I was in a flashback!”
“When are you going to believe me when I say I am not going to hurt you?!”
“When are you going to treat me like an adult and not like some pathetic infant?!”
Robbie gasped and clenched his fists. “I do not treat you like an invalid!”
“You haven't given me a moment's peace since my heart attack!”
“It's because I want to help you! I want to be there for you, Aten!”
“STOP BEING THERE FOR ME! I am NOT a child anymore, Robert Morgan! I can do things for myself!”
Robbie's body trembled in fury. “I never said you were! I've been here every day after school to help around here since I know you are still recovering!”
Aten snarled. “What do you want for that? A fucking medal?! Do you want me to kneel and kiss your fucking boots? Do you want me to worship the ground you walk on?”
Robbie pushed Aten angrily. “You're an asshole!”
“You're a fucking bastard, Robbie! Get out of my house!”
“You don't need to kick me out, GENIUS!” Robbie grabbed his jacket. “I'm out of here!”
Aten pointed to the door. “Get the fuck out, Robbie!”
Robbie limped out of the room and down the stairs.
“Robbie, is everything okay?” Ryou asked.
Robbie opened the door and slammed the door behind him angrily.
***********************************
Robbie walked down the street, his eyes cast down to the concrete angrily. `Stubborn Aten! How dare he talk to me like that after all I've done for him!'
Robbie wiped away the tears in his eyes as he saw a white van pull up in front of his house.
He stopped and looked up at three masked men in black jumped out of the van and ran towards him.
Robbie turned and cried out in alarm. “HELP!”
Mr. Gillam came to the window and opened the curtains. The three men grabbed Robbie and pulled him towards the truck.
Robbie turned and saw Mr. Gillam grin in the window. “MR. GILLAM! HELP!”
The old man laughed and closed the curtains.
“Let me go!” Robbie cried out in fear.
The three people dragged him into the white van and shut the door behind them.
Robbie struggled as the van sped off quickly. The men pinned him to the floor of the van and tied his hands behind his back. They blindfolded and gagged him.
Robbie laid on the floor of the van trembling.
Who were these people?
What did they want with him?
“Well, Morgan, I told you that I would teach you a lesson.”
Robbie's heart leaped into his throat. Eric Barnes!
“I hope you say your prayers, Robbie.”
Robbie froze. Jason Ford.
Robbie felt someone grab his hair again and he squeezed his eyes shut.
“Looks like someone already punched you one, Rob! Too bad someone had to do it before I got a chance. Don't worry, Robbie. I'll make sure it won't hurt you for long.”
Robbie swallowed hard as Eric and Jason laughed.
The van drove towards the outskirts of town. Eric watched as they drove through the heavily wooded area towards the meeting area of the group. Eric removed Robbie's blindfold and his gag.
“We're almost there, Rob. Don't worry.”
“Where are you taking me?”
Eric smiled proudly. “To the last place your eyes will ever see.”
Robbie blinked. “What are you going to do?”
“You should feel honored, Robbie. You are going to be my trophy! You are my ticket into the Crusaders!”
Robbie's eyes widened. “Did you kill those other teens?!”
Eric shook his head. “Nope. Others did that so they can join. You are my trophy, Robbie! That means, you are mine.”
Robbie shook his head. “Eric….you can't…”
Eric smiled. “Oh, I will, Rob.”
The van stopped. “We're here, Morgan. Time for you to meet my new family!”
Eric and Jason held Robbie's arms as they pulled Robbie out of the van. The two boys walked Robbie through the dark woods. Menacing shadows surrounded him as they walked through the dark woods.
As they walked, Jason's flashlight revealed a dead teen's body on the ground. He was stripped naked and his throat was cut.
Robbie let out a scream and struggled with Eric.
Eric grabbed Robbie's hair. “That is going to be you right now if you don't shut the fuck up!”
Robbie stopped screaming and stepped over the dead boy's body.
In the distance, Robbie saw light and realized that torches were lit. He heard the murmuring of voices.
The three boys emerged from the forest to see a large group of people gathered.
Sgt. Barnes stood up and saw his son pulling along Robbie, his arms bound helplessly behind his back.
The men cheered as Eric and Jason emerged with Robbie.
“Eric's caught himself a fruit!” one man called.
“Skin this one alive!” Jerry called from the group. “He's Aten Ishtar's fuck buddy!”
“Slit his throat now!” a woman called from the crowd.
“Shoot the faggot dead!” another man called from the crowd.
Robbie swallowed hard as he was pulled towards Sgt. Barnes. His breathing quickened and his body tensed.
Were these people really going to kill him?”
Eric grinned. “See, father? I have brought my trophy! Robbie Morgan!”
Sgt. Barnes stepped up to Robbie. “You're the one who stopped us from killing Aten Ishtar.”
“I….I couldn't let you kill Aten.”
“Why not…faggot?”
Robbie looked around him. This wasn't the smartest answer….but he could not deny anything.
“Because I love him.”
The crowd screamed at him angrily.
“Shoot the fag dead!”
“Rape and kill that little bastard!”
“Let's slit his throat and watch him bleed to death!”
Robbie's eyes shifted uncomfortably around his surroundings. He swallowed hard again as Sgt. Barnes stepped close to him.
“So then you admit that you are a homo?”
Robbie lowered his head, knowing that his answer would only seal his fate. But he couldn't deny Aten or his love for him. So many people had witnessed them holding hands or hugging in the hallway at school. It was almost impossible to deny that everyone knew they were close.
“I love Aten…..”
The crowd yelled at Robbie again. Sgt. Barnes held up his hand and the group became silent.
“My son, you have made all of us proud tonight! Welcome to the Crusaders!” Barnes took Robbie and turned him around. He grabbed Robbie's hair and shook his head violent. “THIS is what we struggle against, brothers! This is the demon which needs to be eliminated from our good and righteous city! This boy is like a disease which plagues our streets, threatening our sons! This creature will stop at nothing to make sure that all of our younger brothers and our sons have all turned to homosexuality!”
Tears came down Robbie's face as Barnes held his hair in a tight grip.
“We must kill this boy!” Barnes called to the crowd.
Robbie closed his eyes. `This is a bad dream! A very bad dream!'
Barnes threw Robbie to the ground and kicked him in the side. Jason and Eric kicked Robbie in the chest.
Eric slammed his boot against Robbie's head, making a gaping wound in Robbie's head.
“KILL HIM, ERIC!” the crowd cheered.
“Murder that son of a bitch, Eric!” another man called.
Eric slammed his boot against Robbie's head again, creating another cut on Robbie's head.
“Stop!” Barnes called as Jason and Eric stepped back.
Robbie panted on the ground, his body aching from the abuse. The air, warm as it was, stung his newly-forming bruises. He panted heavily as he felt his surroundings spin.
`Aten….'
Barnes pulled Robbie to his knees. The teen wavered uneasily as the blood trailed down his temple.
Barnes handed his son his pistol. “Make your old man proud, boy.”
Eric grinned as he looked at his kneeling, bloody, and bruised victim.
He walked around to Robbie's front and looked down at him. Eric placed the end of the barrel against Robbie's forehead.
“I've always said I wanted to put a bullet in your brain, Robbie. Now is my chance. Goodnight, Robbie.”
Robbie closed his eyes. “Aten, forgive me.”
BANG!
The sound of a gunshot resonated through the forest as its target fell to the ground lifelessly.
