Happy Family
Ryou waited outside with Sekhmet and Aria. The Boarder Collie ran around the yard playing with Aria.
Ryou looked down the street with his hair flowing in the gentle breeze. Aria stopped running with the dog and sat beside her mother.
“I don't feel so good,” she said.
Ryou put his hand on her forehead. “You're burning up, baby girl! Go inside and rest a little bit.”
She shrugged. “No, I think I'll just sit down. Maybe I ran too fast with Sekhmet.”
Marik dug another hole and planted another tulip in the garden. “I wonder when Malik and Bakura are coming back.”
“Bakura said that they were on the way. He overslept this morning.”
Marik snickered. “No surprise there.”
“I can't wait for father to return,” Aria said with a smile.
Ryou smiled. “I miss your father. I don't like being away from him. I don't feel whole when we're apart.”

The pile of books flew off of the altar as the furious yami shoved them off violently. His amethyst eyes glowed a furious red.
“ITEMRI SURVIVED?! MALIK SURVIVED?! NOOOOOO!!!! FUCK! THEY WERE MEANT TO DIE!”
The vision above the altar continued.
Yami narrowed his eyes as he saw Aten and Robbie leave the house laughing. “Damn them both!”
[Mother, Robbie and I are going to KaibaCorp to borrow Un-tle Seto's video thingy.]
[“His what?”] Ryou asked.
[Camcorder,” Robbie said. “We want to borrow it for the party tonight and also for our honeymoon.”]
[“Okay, boys, be careful.”]
[“We will, mother,”] Aten said as they left.
Yami narrowed his eyes. “My plans never included Bakura and Malik surviving that blaze! If my plan to eliminate the Ishtar and Itemri Families is to succeed, I must plan my attack before Bakura can come to their aid!”
The pharaoh growled. “I may have no choice but to take Robbie's life from him as well. Sacrifices must be made if mankind is going to be safe from these two yami spawn…..and if my plan to achieve ultimate power is to be successful…Aten and Robbie must die….together.”
*************************
Donny dropped Seto's luggage on the bed with a grunt. “What on Earth did he pack in here? The Leaning Tower of Pisa?”
Alex carried Seto's bag of souvenirs and gifts for the family. “When Seto goes on vacation, he always comes home with more than he took with him.”
Joey carried his luggage in with an exhausted sigh. “It feels good to be back again, doesn't it, Alex?”
The old man gave the blond a little smile. “Yeah, it does. The French Rivera was beautiful!”
Jaimen walked into the room and sneaked behind Alex. “ALEX!!!”
The old man jumped as Jaimen wrapped his arms around Alex from behind.
“You little whipper-snapper!” Alex panted as he was hugged by Seto's son.
Jaimen smiled. “I missed you guys so much! Daddy Puppy! You're back!”
The enthusiastic teen hugged Joey tightly with a smile. The teen kissed Joey's cheek repeatedly. “I waited *kiss* for you guys *kiss* to come back! *kiss kiss*”
Joey hugged the teen back, trying to stand up from the teen's greeting.
Jaimen didn't enjoy being without his father. When he first arrived at KaibaCorp, he was practically Seto's shadow, following him around and always keeping his father in sight. For the longest time he refused to leave Joey and even Mokuba alone for very long.
“Did you see your dad?”
Jaimen nodded excitedly. “I pounced dad! I threw myself at him and actually knocked him down!” The teen laughed. “I kissed him again and again until he gave up.”
Joey pat the teen on the head. “Okay, Jaimen…can't breathe….”
Jaimen released the blond. “Oops, sorry.”
“When did you come home from the hospital?”
“Couple days ago. I slept practically all day yesterday. I wanted to make sure I was wide awake for your return today!”
Joey opened up a bag and handed Jaimen a toy airplane. The teen had a collection that matched Hayden's racing car collection, which remained in Joey's closet.
“Anyone called while we were gone?”
Jaimen nodded. “The hospital called where Hayden is. They were looking for---.”
“Is something wrong with Hayden?!” Joey asked quickly.
“He's acting up again. They said that Hayden is refusing food again. He also….umm….tried to molest one of the male nurses.”
Joey shook his head and Alex watched the blond heave a sigh. “Did you tell Seto?”
“Yup. Dad is talking to them now in his office. The doctors say you and dad may need to come and talk with him.”
Joey reached into the bag slowly and removed another toy….a toy car. “Hayden doesn't have this one in his collection. I'll put it with his other toys. When he gets better, he can have it.”
Jaimen watched the blond put the car in his closet with the other toys in a box marked `Hayden's Toybox.'
“Daddy Joey, what if Hayden never plays with---?”
Joey turned on his heels. “Hayden WILL get better, Jaimen! He just needs time and patience. Just you wait and see!”
Jaimen sighed. “If you think so, Joey.”
“I KNOW so. All Hayden needs is some time to get his feet back on the ground. Then he'll come home….and we'll be a happy family again.” Joey looked down at `Hayden's Toybox.' “We'll be a happy family again….I know it'll happen, Jaimen. I know Hayden will come back to us.” Joey turned to Jaimen. The teen took a frightened step back when he saw the look in Joey's eyes. “You believe me, right, Jaimen?”
The blond reached out for Jaimen's arms and grabbed them. He shook the teen slightly.
“You DO believe…..don't you?”
Jaimen nodded quickly. “Yes…..I do.”
Joey took a deep breath. “Good.”
Ceres, Lily, and Ivy ran into the room squealing loudly. The chibis hugged Joey's legs and bounced up and down.
“UNKIE PUPPY'S BACK!”
Joey released Jaimen and picked up each child and kissed their cheeks.
“Aten's here, too!” Ceres said.
“Aten?”
“And Wobbie!” Ivy smiled.
Jaimen ran out of the room and saw the two boys walking down the hallway. “Hey, guys!”
Robbie waved. “Hi, Jaimen!”
“Hi, Chainmen!” Aten smiled.
The two boys walked down the hallway holding hands.
“Getting excited for your big day?”
Robbie gave Aten's hands a little reassuring squeeze. “Yup! Sure am!”
“Glad to see you're up and about,” Robbie said going up to the other teen and hugging him gently.
Jaimen smiled. “Yeah, I'm okay. Still a little sore and tired, but at least the doctors were able to help me.”
“Both of us were very worried about you,” Aten added, keeping his distance from Jaimen.
“Aww….thanks, guys! I'm okay, really. Are you here to see my dad?”
Aten nodded. “Yeah, we want to borrow his camera if it's okay. We want to videotape the party.”
Robbie snickered. “And for….other things…but mostly for the party. Is Seto in?”
Jaimen nodded. “Yeah, he's in his office talking to the hospital.”
“Oh?” Aten asked uncomfortably.
“Yeah, apparently Hayden's been acting nuts again. He tried to molest one of the male nurses.”
Robbie shook his head. “Oh, it's a shame his recovery is not going well. I wish there was something we could do.”
Aten walked past Robbie and Jaimen and stood at the door to Seto's office.
He listened to Seto inside.
[Look, I expect my son to get the proper attention that he deserves. Your staff has been informed in regards to Hayden's past. You should know what to be expected from a boy who has been through as much nonsense as that boy has been through!......Look, I only want what is best for my boy….That's what we both want…..You want us to come down there and try to talk to him? Okay….fine. I have a two weddings to go to in the next few days and some business to attend to. I will come on Monday morning with my husband. We'll be there…Eight o'clock? Fine. Consider it done…Goodbye.”
Aten heard the phone slam on the receiver and he jumped.
“Hayden,” the CEO moaned as he started to sob quietly, careful not to let his tears be heard.
Aten put his hand on the door. “I'm sorry, Unkie Seto…..I tried not to do what they told me.” Aten closed his eyes. “I had no choice.”
Aten felt a hand on his shoulder and he quickly dropped to his knees with his arms crossed in front of him. “I'm sorry, grandfather!”
Aten looked up and saw Robbie standing over him. “Oh, it's you, Robbie.”
“Yeah, you okay?”
Aten nodded and the door opened.
”Aten? Robbie? What are you doing here?” the CEO asked.
”Aten? Robbie? What are you doing here?” the CEO asked.
Aten rose to his feet. “We came to ask you a favor.”
Seto sniffled and turned away to wipe a tear away. “Come in, boys.”
Robbie, Aten, and Jaimen entered. “
“Mr. Kaiba,” Robbie said nervously. “We were wondering if we could borrow your Camcorder.”
“Why?”
Aten shrugged. “We want to borrow it for the party! And we also wondered if we can take it on our honeymoon.”
“Where are you boys going?” Seto asked as he opened a desk drawer.
“Hawaii. It's a little resort out of the way from the crowds.”
“Nice choice. How long are you going to be there?”
Robbie shrugged. “Not long. A few days.”
Kaiba sighed. “Did you make your airplane reservations yet?”
Aten shook his head. “Yes. Last week.”
Kaiba crossed his arms. “Take Asher with you.”
Aten raised an eyebrow. “Why? We're not going anywhere dangerous, Unkie Seto.”
“No, but your safety is my priority, Aten. I'd feel much better if you took some protection with you. And in any case, Asher will enjoy the bonfires and the torches.”
Aten nodded. “Oh, I know he will. Do you really think that is necessary?”
“I do, Aten. And I won't hear any backtalk about it. You're taking Asher with you. I'll tell him to pack and I'll talk to him myself.”
Robbie nodded. “Okay, Mr. Kaiba. Asher can come along. He'll need a plane ticket.”
“Done and done.”
“Can we borrow your …video thing, Unkie Seto?”
Seto snickered. “Aten, you can call me `Uncle' now, you know.”
“I know. Old habits die hard.”
“Truth. Feel free to take my camera. It's on the bookshelf in the library. Be careful with it. There's a blank videotape beside it. The tape in there should be empty.”
Aten and Robbie smiled. “Thank you, Seto!”
“No problem, boys. See you tonight.”
The boys turned to leave.
”Aten, stay here a moment. I need to speak to you.”
”Aten, stay here a moment. I need to speak to you.”
Robbie reluctantly left the room without Aten.
Aten shifted nervously as the door shut behind Jaimen. “Yes, Un-tle Seto?”
“Aten, I want to give you this.”
Seto handed Aten an envelope. “Open it.”
Aten slowly opened the envelope. Inside was a business card of a contractor and a check. Aten's brown and purple eyes widened.
“Un—tle Seto? What is this?”
“Your wedding present from me.”
Aten's eyes slowly scanned the amount of zeros on the check. “Why?”
“Aten, I scheduled this contractor to go to Miranda's house. I'm building an addition onto Miranda's house.”
Aten looked up at his uncle. “An…addiction?”
“No, Addition. I'm building you an Art Studio for your wedding present. You'll be able to do all your painting in there and you can decorate it any way you like.”
Aten held up the check. “What's this for?”
“That's to pay for the studio's construction and its decoration. Feel free to spend that money any way you wish. Keep the change, son.”
“Are you sure you want to give me all of these….zeros?”
“I know Miranda's house is not that big. You'll need a little space for yourself. Get some foliage in there, build an altar, put a stereo system in there. Decorate it how you want.”
Aten smiled and hugged his uncle tightly. “Thank you! Thank you!”
Seto hugged the teen back. “Don't mention it. Put that money away for a rainy day, Aten.”
“Oh, I will! I'll have to finish high school at home. I can't go to school anymore. But Robbie will be graduating in a couple of years. I have to put my money away and make enough money so he doesn't have to worry about anything when I die.”
Seto leaned against his desk. “But Robbie's still young, Aten. Do you really think you could make enough money for him to live until he's old?”
Aten nodded. “I can. My paintings put food on my parents' table and it gives me money to put away. I help out around the house when I can. But I don't want Robbie to worry about money when I die. So I'm going to be painting a lot in the next five years. I still want to do the art shows with Un—Un-tle Puppy.”
“I think it would be good for you to keep painting, Aten. That's why I'm building you this studio. You need a place to yourself when you just need to be alone.”
Aten nodded. “It would be nice to have a place for my paintings. Right now all of my paintings are on the floor leaning against each other. That's not good….and it's not right. The only other place for me to paint would be down in the basement and…….” Aten stopped short and lowered his head. “I…..I can't paint down here,” he said in a child's quiet voice.
“That's why this is so important, Aten. Feel free to spend that money however you like. All I ask is that I come see it just once to make sure the guy did a good job. If so much as a nail is out of place, he'll never work in this town again.”
“Un-tle Seto!”
Seto grinned. “Just kidding. I want this to be perfect, Aten.”
“It will be! Thank you so much for everything! I…I don't know how to repay you.”
“Don't repay me, Aten. Just enjoy yourself.”
Aten smiled. “I will! See you tonight, Unkie Seto!”
Seto watched the boy run out of the room. He shook his head. “I guess I'll always be `Unkie Seto.'”
****************************
Aten and Robbie left KaibaCorp and headed home. The boys stopped at the park to try out the new camera.
Robbie placed the new tape in the camera and filmed Aten standing by the tree.
“Do you see me?”
“Yeah, I see you! I just have to figure out how to focus this thing.”
“Try the knob on the right.”
Robbie smiled. “There you are! My fiancé, Aten Bakari Ishtar!”
Aten chuckled. “Hey, look, Robbie! Swings!”
Aten ran towards the swing set.
Robbie grinned devilishly and zoomed in on Aten's ass as he ran. The boy gave a giggle. “There it is! My fiance's butt!”
Aten spun around. “Don't tape my ass, Robbie!”
“Why not?”
“You don't put that on our tape! Is that how you're going to remember me? By video taping my ass?”
Robbie chuckled. “Oh, come on, Aten! Be a team player!”
Aten folded his arms. “I am not mooning the camera, Robbie!”
“Come on! Let me see a little butt!”
“No! Give me that thing right now or so help me Ra!”
Aten ran for Robbie and tried to grab the camera out of Robbie's hand. “You are impossible!”
“Here's my fiancé trying to take the camera out of my hand!” Robbie laughed as he continued to tape.
“Robbie, you bastard! Come on! Give me that!”
Robbie kissed Aten's lips. Aten stopped jumping for the camera and melted into the kiss.
Aten broke the kiss. “No taping my ass.”
“Fine. I won't tape your ass.”
“Thank you!”
Aten backed away and ran towards the swings. He sat in one swing and started swinging. “This is fun!”
Robbie looked up at the dark clouds that were looming over head. “That's strange. It wasn't supposed to rain today.”
Aten looked up and felt a chill surround him. “Same here.”
The sky began to darken and Robbie ran towards Aten.
“What's going on, Aten?”
Aten saw a purple haze begin to surround them. “Robbie, get in the bushes!”
“But what about you?”
Aten saw a figure emerging from the haze. “Robbie, go! Now! Keep taping!”
“But what if you get hurt?!”
“Don't worry about me! Go, Robbie!”
Aten watched his friend run into the bushes, the Camcorder still taping.
The pharaoh emerged from the shadows. “Aten Bakari Ishtar-Ibn Marik.”
“What do you want?”
“I hear your wedding date is approaching.”
Aten stood up and clenched his fists. “What do you care, you rotten king?”
The pharaoh chuckled and approached the teen.
Robbie's heart seized as Yami grabbed Aten by the throat.
“You are unprotected now….how nice.”
“What do you want with me?”
Yami pouted. “What do I want with you? How can you say that after all we've been through? You know what I want.”
Aten clenched his fists tightly. Robbie was taping this entire confrontation. Maybe he could use this to his advantage.
Malik was still wanted by the police. If he could use this tape to prove Malik's innocence, then Malik would no longer be wanted by the police!
It would be dangerous, but it would work.
“Are you going to kill me like you killed the others? I know you did it! Why don't you confess you killed and raped all of those other people?”
Yami laughed. “Nobody is going to suspect it was me! Besides, my victims were never given a chance to confess that it was me.”
Aten narrowed his eyes. “Yet you let me live before. Why?”
“You never saw my face, so it was easy to take you in that house. Charlie didn't mind me wearing my mask. You never told anyone about us, did you?”
Yami licked up Aten's cheek suggestively.
“No, I never told anyone,” Aten said closing his eyes.
Robbie's jaw dropped in shock. His hands struggled to hold the camera trained on Aten and Yami.
Yami kissed Aten's cheek. “Good boy. That's a very good boy. Unfortunately, Aten, it's not going to work out like that this time.”
Yami grabbed Aten's shirt and pulled him into the woods. Robbie followed them cautiously, keeping the camera trained on Yami.
“I have to find a way to save Aten before Yami does something to him!” Robbie said looking around for anything.
Aten struggled in Yami's grip. “What are you going to do with me?! Let go!”
Yami chuckled. “What does it look like I'm going to do? I'm going to make it look like the Crusaders for Moral Decency got to you. They'll find you like all the rest. I will be innocent and nobody will suspect it was me.”
Aten gasped and pulled roughly on Yami's grip. “No! Let me go!”
“Wouldn't you like for me to be inside you again, Aten? I can hear you calling my name, begging me to fill you up with my essence.”
Robbie watched Yami slam Aten against a tree and tug at the teen's jeans. “I have to do something!”
Aten punched Yami and kicked. “Let me go! Help!”
“You'll be just another gay boy raped and murdered, Aten!” Yami growled.
Aten's eyes widened as he saw Robbie grab a tree branch. He increased his screams to muffle the sound of Robbie's footsteps.
Robbie narrowed his eyes and whacked the tree branch across the back of Yami's head. The pharaoh fell unconscious on the ground.
The pharaoh released Aten, who growled and whose hair went spiky.
“You bastard!” Yami Aten snarled as he raked his sharp nails across yami's back.
Aten fell to his knees and panted. His body froze and he grabbed onto Robbie whimpering.
“It's okay, Aten,” the boy said as he hugged Aten.
“Did…did you….tape…that?”
“I got every last word. Umm…Aten?”
Aten shook his head. “Don't ask, Robbie. I can't talk about it right now. Let's just get home.”
*****************************
At the club, Aten and Robbie watched their parents dance on the dance floor. Aten took another sip of his water as he watched the couples dance. They had finished recording everyone dancing.
He and Robbie had just finished dancing to two songs in a row and Aten needed to relax.
“How are you holding up, Aten?”
“Fine. I just need to catch my breath.”
“Did you take your heart medication?”
Aten raised an eyebrow. “Do you think I would have forgotten it considering all the dancing we're doing?”
Robbie looked over at his mother sitting nearby. Her eyes were fastened to Tristan's ass as he danced with Otogi.
“I think my mom's going to need one of those heart pills soon.”
“She still has that crush on Un-tle Tristan?”
Robbie nodded. “Yeah, she still does. She doesn't want to admit it, though.”
“Tristan's not much younger than she is.”
Seto walked up to Tristan with a devilish look in his eye. The next moment, Tristan went to Miranda.
“Hello, Miranda.”
“Oh! H—Hello…umm…Tristan.”
“Do you want to dance with Otogi and I?”
Miranda's jaw dropped and she squirmed in her chair. Seto watched from a distance, snickering.
`I got you this time, Miranda,' Seto thought with a grin.
The woman's face turned red and Robbie snickered.
“Poor mom….I wonder if she'll dance with him.”
Tristan and Miranda went to the dance floor and danced with Otogi.
Robbie looked around and saw Karl and Jay sitting in the dark corner. “Jay looks good after that surgery of his.”
Aten nodded. “Yeah, he does. I'm glad to see it all worked out.”
Robbie looked at Aten. “Why so down?”
“I guess I've been thinking about Hayden. It's sad he can't be here.”
“It's probably for the best, Aten. He's safer where he is.”
Aten put his head on Robbie's shoulder. “I'm glad I have you, Robbie.”
“Same here, Aten.”
Robbie kissed Aten's forehead as a slow dance started. “Come on, we can do a slow dance!”
You fill up my senses
like a night in the forest
like a night in the forest
Aten and Robbie stepped onto the dance floor. The Egyptian felt Robbie put his arm around him and take his hand.
Aten put his head on Robbie's chest and closed his eyes.
He breathed deeply, inhaling Robbie's cinnamon cologne. Robbie placed his cheek against Aten's white and blond hair, indulging in the satiny-soft locks pressed against him.
Slowly he kissed the top of his fiance's forehead.
Aten took a deep breath and squeezed Robbie's hand reassuringly. His other hand held Robbie close to him.
Aten said with a smile. “I love you, Robbie.”
Like the mountains in springtime,
Like a walk in the rain
Like a walk in the rain
Ryou lead Bakura onto the dance floor and held his yami against him. “It's been a while since we've danced, love,” Ryou said with a smile.
Bakura wrapped his arm around Ryou and held his hand. “It has been. The last time I remember dancing with you was at Kaiba's Summer Home. We were in the ballroom…..and you were teaching me how to dance.”
“Yes, and you made me re-upholster Charlemagne's couch, Bakura,” Seto said as he stepped onto the dance floor with Joey. “That was a twelve hundred year old couch and you had sex on it.”
Bakura grinned with pride. “Ryou had sex on it, too.”
“This isn't about Ryou. This about you having sex on my furniture!”
Ryou lifted his head. “Gentlemen, let's just enjoy the music.”
Bakura grinned as he held his husband against him.
Like a storm in the desert,
Like a sleepy blue ocean
Like a sleepy blue ocean
Umi held Aria against him and nuzzled his cheek against her white spiky hair. He held her against him and felt her whimper when he touched her back. “Sensitive, Aria?”
“My back's been hurting.”
Umi rubbed his girlfriend's back and nuzzled against her.
You fill up my senses,
Come fill me again.
Come fill me again.
Malik pulled Marik onto the dance floor and held his yami against him. “Let's dance!”
“I can't dance, tenshi.”
“Sure you can….put your arm around my waist….hold my hand…” Malik pressed himself against Marik. “Let me lead.”
Marik looked down at Malik's feet. “What are you doing?”
“Dancing, silly!”
The yami watched his hikari's feet. “I can't do this!”
Malik laughed. “You told me you can dance!”
Marik raised his head proudly. “I can dance!”
“You have two left feet, Marik. OW! You're stepping on my toes!”
“Sorry! I didn't do much dancing in Egypt.”
Malik looked down and showed Marik how to slow dance. “Ow!” the hikari called out again as Marik stepped on his feet. “Marik, you may be great at controlling people with your Rod, but you suck at dancing.”
Marik growled. “I do not!”
“You do so!”
“Do not! I'll tell you one thing that I am good at sucking at, though…”
Marik buried his face in the side of Malik's neck and began sucking at the tender flesh. Malik threw his head back with a moan.
Marik's hands slipped into the back of Malik's pants, kneading Malik's buttocks in the shadows of the dance floor.
Come let me love you,
Let me give my life to you
Robbie and Aten looked into each other's eyes. Aten reached up and cupped Robbie's cheeks in his hand.
“Tomorrow's the big day, Robbie.”
Robbie grinned. “Yeah. Dad will be home tomorrow. Hopefully he won't be late.”
Aten grinned. “How do you think your dad will react? Does he know?”
Robbie chuckled. “Nope. I wanted to surprise my dad when he came home. He's going to be home for a few weeks! I can't wait!”
Let me drown in your laughter,
Aten smiled and shook his head. “I love it when you laugh, you know. You have such a funny laugh!”
The Egyptian boy laughed in return.
“I do not!” Robbie exclaimed as he laughed some more.
“Yes you do!”
“I do not!”
The two boys chuckled and kept their gazes on each other. Robbie leaned over and kissed his boyfriend on the lips.
Ryou saw the two boys kiss slowly on the dance floor wrapped in each other's embrace. He put his head on Bakura's chest and smiled. `Aten's found happiness.'
Let me die in your arms
Aten opened his eyes as Robbie kissed him. Having Robbie hold him felt so right.
He never felt uncomfortable in Robbie's embrace.
Aten spent many nights wrapped in those familiar arms. Robbie was always there through his most difficult times….and would continue to be there through their married life.
Robbie broke the kiss and looked down at Aten's face. “I love you, Aten.”
Aten sighed. “I love you, too, Robbie.”
Aten knew that when his time came to go to the Underworld, that he wanted to be in Robbie's arms. He didn't want to end his life in a hospital bed.
He wanted to be with Robbie at the end when it would finally come.
Let me lay down beside you,
Let me always be with you
Let me always be with you
But tonight was not for dwelling on his inevitable mortality.
It was his time to be with Robbie and to celebrate the life they would share as a married couple.
“I never want to let you go, Aten,” Robbie said with a smile.
“I always want to be with you, Robbie. I don't want to be with anyone else but you.”
Come let me love you,
Come love me again.
Come love me again.
Aten rested his head against Robbie's chest and continued dancing to the music.
You fill up my senses
Like a night in the forest
Aria and Umi watched Aten and Robbie dance slowly.
“They look happy together,” Umi said.
“That's all I want, Umi. I just want Aten to be happy....and I want him to be safe. He's been through enough shit that makes even me cringe.”
Umi pet Aria's spiky hair gently. “You make me happy, Aria.”
“Are you going to get all sentimental on me?”
“Why, Aria? Don't you want me expressing my feelings?” Umi asked with a grin.
Aria snickered. “Umi, do you need to talk about your feelings?”
Umi held her against him and breathed in her sweet perfume. “Nah, I'm good.”
Like the mountains in springtime,
Like a walk in the rain
Like a walk in the rain
“It feels so good to hold you like this,” Umi said with a contented sigh.
“Now you're just getting mushy.”
Umi grinned. “Oh, come on, Little Mermaid! This is our party, too! We had a nice dinner by candle light.”
Aria looked over at Asher in the corner. He was staring into a flickering candle, drooling. “Fire……Fire……good.”
“Asher's enjoying that candle a little too much.”
Umi shrugged. “He's not hurting anyone.”
Like a storm in the desert,
Like a sleepy blue ocean
Like a sleepy blue ocean
Umi's blue eyes looked down at her. “You are so beautiful, Aria. I'm amazed your father had no problem with us marrying.”
“Well, dad said it was a tradition in Ancient Egypt to marry young. He trusts you….there's always going to be a part of him that wants to keep me under his wing, though.”
Umi nodded. “You're his girl. His baby. Of course he's going to be protective.”
You fill up my senses,
Come fill me again.
Come fill me again.
Umi leaned down and kissed Aria on the lips. He continued to stroke her hair and rub her back.
Aria pressed herself against Umi and continued to kiss him. Her arms wrapped around his shoulders and hold him close.
Ryou and Bakura watched Aria and Umi kiss. “We've done a good job, love,” Ryou said with a sigh.
Bakura shut his mindlink off to Ryou quickly, making the hikari raise his head.
“Bakura? Love? What's wrong?”
Bakura watched Aria dance in the arms of the other man. `What's wrong? I'm losing my baby girl, Ryou……my family….my baby. That's what's wrong.'
Ryou raised his hand and stroked Bakura's cheek. “Baby? Talk to me.” Ryou saw a single tear flow down Bakura's cheek in the light. “Bakura? Why are you crying?”
The white-haired yami looked down. “I'm okay, Ryou. I just got something in my eye.”
“You liar. What's wrong?”
Bakura sighed. “Nothing. I guess I'm just a little tired, Ryou.” The yami pulled Ryou's head down to his chest.
`I'm losing my baby.'
Update: Wednesday
Note: Sorry, guys. Aten's wedding and party will be in the next chappie….i had some things in this chappie I didn't anticipate…such as the whole hayden thing. I will be bringing this up later and this is key to the sequel.
