Ryou was walking to school or limping rather because of Bakura. Ryou had woken up early hoping to sneak out of the house without waking up Bakura. Unfortunately he wasn't quite quiet enough. He woke up Bakura. Ryou was kicked sharply right above his right kneecap for waking him up before he went back into the ring. He knew that he was going to be beaten when he got home for that mishap. He was passing the game shop when Yugi came out. "Hey Ryou wait up" said Yugi running to catch up to the other teen. "Do you want to go to the arcade with us after school?" asked Yugi "I'd like that but I'm busy" << tell him and I'll beat you so bad you won't be able to move for a week.>> "It's Bakura, isn't it?" asked Yugi. "No, my father wants me home right away from school today" <<Hikari there is one problem with that lie, your father is in Egypt, remember?>> <Father is coming home today I'm not lying.> "Your dad is in Egypt" said Yugi then he changed to Yami. Yugi and Yami think that Ryou can't tell the difference between them two. He can because the only way he stays relatively unharmed at his home is to be as observant as possible. "Don't lie your father is in Egypt, I'll ask you again. Is it because of the tomb robber?" asked Yami. "No Yami my father is coming home while I'm in school today" said Ryou. /do you think he's lying?/ // no aibo I believe that he is telling the truth// Yami went back inside giving Yugi control. "Yami?" asked Ryou knowing that it was Yugi. "No it's Yugi, how did you know it was Yami before?" asked Yugi. "He called Bakura 'tomb robber' only Yami, Marik, and Malik do that" replied Ryou. "oh can you come another day?" asked Yugi. "I can't until Father leaves. He doesn't believe in unproductive fun. I'll probably only leave the house to go to school, library, or on an errand. Sorry" said Ryou. The rest of the way to school was spent in companionable silence. After school (nothing interesting happened, their school days will only be put in if I need them sorry) Ryou left Yugi and his friends, they went to the arcade and he left to go home. A couple of blocks later he was cornered by 8 sophomores (the Yugioh group is in 8th except for Kiaba, Mokuba and the adults) "give us all your money" said the leader. "I don't have any" said Ryou. "You're going to have to pay the toll some way. Boys attack him"(that sounded horrible even to me sorry) said the leader. They started to kick and punch him, so Ryou curled up into a protective ball but after only a few blows from most of them they stopped. When he had gathered the nerve to look up he noticed that all 8 of the bullies were unconscious. A boy with black hair boy stood between him and the bullies with his fist still up so Ryou guessed that the boy saved him. "Thank you" Ryou said even quieter than he normally is. The boy said "Your welcome, my name is Yusuke Urimeshi"

Yusuke seemed to be waiting for a reaction so I said "I thought so, I'm not trying to sound rude. I appreciate what you did but why did you bother to help me?" "yes Yusuke I am afraid that I need to know why you fought so I know whether to report you or not" said a voice that I have never heard before. "well kid and Suichi I did it because that gang was bothering me. You obviously needed help and I needed a fight k?" Suichi nodded but I've lived with Bakura for too long to not know that there is a catch. I decided to trust that the redhead Suichi would keep Yusuke from killing me long enough for me to run after I ask my question "what is the catch?" He didn't seem too mad and his answer was emotionless "there is no catch" said Yusuke. I knew he was lying but I didn't want to risk angering him so I just said "right" and tried to keep the sarcasm out of my voice. I think it worked because they didn't say anything. Then two more boys came up one of them was tall with orange hair and the other was about Kurama's height and had black hair spiky hair with a white star burst on it. (Kuwabara and Hiei, I decided that Hiei gets a growth spurt) Kurama said “Yusuke decided to deal with a bully problem and now we are to decide what to do next. {Kurama, his mind has a barrier. It is so bad that it has to be self taught and it has an aura that shows that he doesn't expect it to work} * do you think he could be the one with the evil spirit?* { that is exactly what I'm thinking. Is there a way for you to get us close to him?} * yes would you warn the others that I'm about to go super Suichi on you?* {sure}. Hiei warned the others simply by telling them that Kurama has a plan and was going to use all the mannerisms of Suichi for it. "May we go to your house, I wish to ask your father something?" said Kurama "oh and you may call me Kurama if you wish, it is a nickname of mine" shit , shit, shit I have to keep them away from my house. "Umn I'm kind of late gotta run" I said dashing off. They kept up very easily and when we reached the house I tried to dissuade him. "I'd rather you did not speak with my father if you don't mind" I said being as meek and polite as the situation would allow. {He's hiding something. His father might be the one abusing him.}* I know but either way we MUST help him* {agreed}

 

~~~~~~~ NORMAL POINT OF VEIW ~~~~~~~

 

Ryou opened the door "Father, there are some people here who wish to speak with you" he said. Ryou's father came down stairs and said "wait for me upstairs I think you'll find something you deserve if you wait." {that doesn't bode well K'rama} *I know Hiei but there is nothing that we can currently do especially if he isn't one of the ones we are looking for.* Ryou walked into his room and saw Bakura. "What is going on boy?" asked Bakura "I don't know" replied Ryou. Ryou realized that he made a mistake. "How many times do I have to tell you to how to adress me?" asked Bakura kicking or punching once between each word.

Meanwhile back downstairs Kurama was talking to Professor Bakura (I am now calling Professor Bakura, P.B.) "sir, I am involved in a program for school that is optional. That project is to try and turn the boys with black hair into responsible citizens if I can. Your son Ryou is a good student but seems to have trouble socializing and with bullies. I am sure that you have heard of the big brother/big sister program. I would appreciate it if you would have Ryou join. It would be beneficial for him to have another older person around. I am not faulting you about your job. I am sure you are a great parent for Ryou. However, he would benefit immensely from this program" said Kurama being so much like the Suichi facade he wore over the years. "I'll talk to Ryou about it and he'll give you the answer tomorrow after he gets out from school." Said P.B. "thank you sir" said Kurama. He, Yusuke, and Kuwabara left. It was then when he realized Hiei wasn't with him. {K'rama?} *yes Hiei?* {I followed the boy upstairs, I'm looking through a window. He is the one with an abusive spirit but it will take time to get rid of it and he will have to trust us} *then I guess we continue with plan `A' * {with changes, the search for your brother MUST be put on hold.} *why?* Kurama asked this last with dangerous anger barely sensed by Hiei {because if we wait too long I will destroy the spirit and his father} *how come?* {lets just say his barriers crumble under pain.} *okay meet with us later* {maybe} "Hiei is watching the boy meanwhile why don't we go to my house and play with my new game system" said Kurama to the other two. They cheered and raced to Kurama's house.

When we last left Bakura he was yelling at Ryou while Hiei watched unseen from the window. "How many times do I have to tell how to adress me?" was the question last asked by Bakura. "I don't know" answered Ryou and a swift kick to the chest reminded him to say "I mean I don't know master." That didn't save Ryou he was punched in the face twice. Then the door to the room opened as P.B. entered "I'm too mad to punish Ryou do it for me please Bakura." "Why" was the query from Bakura. "The brat called attention down on us" said P.B. "What did you do this time Hakari?" demanded Bakura, the last word was accompanied by a sneer. "I was cornered by the normal bullies and they had just started-." Ryou was caught off by a wave of Bakura's hand "never mind you will probably lie. I'll find out instead by looking at your memories.” Bakura pushed at Ryou's pathetic mind barriers seeing what Ryou did at the time. "Pathetic" he said pushing Ryou's body painfully against the wood floor. "What was the conversation about professor?" asked Bakura. P.B. answered "they wanted him to join that big brother thing." "Damn if we don't let him they will get suspicious" said Bakura "Leave, I don't like an audience and I have a temporary solution for our...problem" he said grinning. Ryou's 'father' left, leaving his son alone with the malicious, pissed, spirit, Bakura. "Boy I'm not going to give you an option understand?" said Bakura with a glare "yes master" said Ryou in the most polite and quiet voice he could. "You will say that you don't want to do it but your father is making you try it for a month" Bakura stopped there. Ryou could tell that Bakura wanted him to guess what next but he didn't know so he said "then what master?" still in that annoyingly humble voice. Bakura slammed Ryou's head against the wall then let him slink to the floor with blood dripping down from the back of his head "worthless." "Then I will know what pitiful excuse that mortal human will except. Until then I expect you to stay fully dressed at all times in front of the others. Do I make myself clear?" asked Bakura. "Yes master" was the response from Ryou who managed to make himself sound even more humble. "Good" was all that was said before he grabbed Ryou's left wrist and twisted it causing a bad sprain or a break. Ryou couldn't stop himself from crying out and Bakura threw him across the room onto his bed. A fist hit him in the gut. "Stay in the room until I or your father say that you may leave" and as the last word left Bakura's mouth the door was slammed. Ryou took off his bloody shirt and pulled on a loose tee-shirt. Hiei jumped off of the window after glancing at Ryou's mind to find out that it will be hours before anyone remembers that he exists. {K'rama, I'm going to go train at Makuro's I need to calm down before I report}

*okay Hiei* "I don't suppose you two are bored with my games yet are you?" asked Kurama to Yusuke and Kuwabara "no" said Kuwabara "naw why?" asked Yusuke. "Hiei is so angry that he needs to go train before he can come back. I'm afraid the search for my brother must be put on hold. It must be bad for Hiei to get this emotional." said Kurama sadly. "Are you sure I mean your brother might also need help and this is just a normal human kid. Maybe he did something to make Hiei mad." Said Yusuke. "No he didn't, it was Hiei's idea to put off the search. You will help us in our observances" stated Kurama. "How?" asked Yusuke. "By being you. That kid will probably be afraid of Hiei anyway. If he is abused he will also be terrified by you, possibly me and if it is worse than I think it is he will be unconfortable around Kuwabara." "Oh" said Yusuke.
