//I'm standing on the bridge, I'm waiting in the dark
I thought that you'd be here by now
There's nothing but the rain, no footsteps on the ground
I'm listening but there's no sound//
Yami leant over the railing that separated him from certain death in the dark misty water below. It was cold for a spring night, raining like the tears that fell silently from his eyes. It had been an hour since the designated time, most house lights were out and the city was in quiet, blissful slumber. Yuugi wasn't coming, he had figured that much out by how much time had gone by. But then again, he understood the high life was tough, maybe his light had an interview or something. Yeah, that was it. The only thing that kept him dry was the black leather raincoat he wore, the hood keeping his multi-coloured hair from becoming wet. The silence was deafening and Yami wondered if he should leave.
But what if Yuugi actually came? What if he came and he wasn't there? That would only tear things up between them all the more. Would only separate them like the sky from the earth, like heaven from hell. He would stay here all night and wait for the younger if he had to. He was patient enough.
//Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home?
It's a damn cold night, trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand, take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are but I......I'm with you
I'm with you//

//I'm looking for a place, searching for a face
Is anybody here I know, cause nothing's going right
And everything's a mess and no one likes to be alone//
Yuugi lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Otogi was asleep next to him, naked as he was and just as tired. They only used sex to get away from the harsh reality that was the music industry, took their frustrations out on each other during what should be passionate times. Yuugi felt a little guilty for using the black-haired adolescent as a punching bag but Otogi said he didn't mind -- the pain always helped to forget. It was a dangerous addiction they both knew but it was an addiction neither was going to give up. Many times Yuugi had found himself unable to sing because of a scream-sore throat, unable to play because of scar-ridden hands, which had bled only mere hours ago due to glass and sharp fingernails. Otogi found himself in the same state, only it was worse because he had taken the anger that Yuugi held inside physically. Yuugi knew the green-eyed teen loved him, but he just couldn't find himself to feel the same. There was someone else but he didn't know who and he denied who it might be. Yuugi gave one last glance at the one next to him before kissing the drummer on the cheek softly and standing, looking at the digital clock. 9:30 said the flashing red neon. He ran a hand through his hair before throwing on whatever clothes he could find and heading out. Hopefully Yami wasn't there.
Otogi's eyes opened slightly, soft tears filling the emerald orbs before a delicate hand reached out and touched the spot where his lover had laid, noticing the dried blood and semen on the sheets. The other two band members knew about what went on between them but never said anything about what they heard, never said anything to anyone else. They all knew Yuugi needed help and maybe this return home would do so much more. Otogi knew Yuugi loved Yami deep inside, oh he knew the precious teen only used him to take his anger out on. And yet he couldn't help but love the multi-colour-haired teen. Couldn't help but take the pain that was in their "relationship".
As he had done many a night when Yuugi left him after sex, Otogi cried.
//Isn't anyone trying to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home?
It's a damn cold night, trying to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are but I......I'm with you//

//Oh why is everything so confusing?
Maybe I'm just out of my mind
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah//
"I was hoping you'd be gone by now," a cold voice interrupted his thoughts. Yami looked away from the water below to see him, the one who had invaded his every thought and dream since he'd left five years ago. Yuugi walked slowly, hesitantly towards him before turning around and leaning against the railing with his elbows, mere centimeters away from the one who had once been his darker. But he......he was the true dark side of their Ying Yang.
"I......I've missed you, we all have these past five years," Yami murmured, looking below at the water once more.
"Why should they miss me? They have you, the oh-so-wonderful Game King." Yuugi's voice held sarcasm and hatred, a tone Yami never wished to hear in his aibou. "I said it back then, I'll say it once more; I'm not forgiving you, you bastard, never. You took everything away from me, even my ojiisan. Everything I had worked so hard to gain you stole from me the second you were released."
"I......I don't expect you to forgive me, Yuugi, I don't deserve it. I never intentionally stole anything from you, but we realized our mistake once you left and were out of our lives." A tear trickled down his cheek and he wiped it away. "And, Yuugi? I......the reason I wanted to talk to you was to show you your grandfather's grave." He noticed the younger one freeze up, amethyst eyes no longer cold and icy, but shimmering with unshed tears. "He died two years ago of heart failure. He was proud of you, we all were when your music came to be heard over here. We still are, Yuugi, some of us more than others."
"H-he's......dead?" He saw Yami's nod and he kicked the railing violently after turning. "Damnit!" Yami could see he was shaking, not crying but shaking in anger. At himself, at the world for beckoning him away. "Damnit, damnit, DAMNIT!" Yuugi noticed a hand covering his own and turned swiftly, eyes wild with rage as he slapped the one who'd stolen it all away from him. Slapped him violently once more, the slaps becoming hard punches before he drew blood in his violent rage, something he only took out on his Otogi. His bitch, his punching bag. His. Just his......
Yuugi collapsed against Yami, silently shivering from the cold and the rage that had built up inside. Yami held him gently, as he had done five years ago, silently wishing things could go back to the way they had been then. It was a while before he finally realized Yuugi had fallen asleep in his arms from crying so much...............
