Domino Revived

I walked to the hotel, with arms full of bags and a cheery Tea followed suit. I didn't say much, and she accused me of being quite, but to be frank I just was thinking about Duke. It was like lust at first sight and all my mind was on was that debonaire smile and his charming dice. He was coming over this evening and I thought idly about the dress I bought.

It was a beautiful dress and I intended on wearing it tonight. The gang was throwing a party, a "welcoming party" for me. Which was an adorable thought in itself. I smiled when I thought of all their warm faces.

"What are you smiling about?" Tea asked me, nudging me with a knowing grin.

"I think I know who" she siad with a burst of giggles.

"Who said it was a "who" " I countered with a slight turn of the lips.

"Hmmm, let me think...green eyes, black hair, tall and handsome?" Tea went on with a dreamy fake sigh.

That was when my bags dropped and my eyes grew wide.I almost laughed as I saw a tall black-haired figure come from around the corner, and suddenly the peices fit perfectly. I screeched throwing the bags on the ground and jumping up to embrace the confused Duke.

"Hey, Hey easy, now what happened? I was supposed to come pick you guys up to get the party ready. I invited half of my school." he said, looking down at me.

I clutched at him in a hard hug and he laughed nervously, then hugged back. It wasn't becuase I couldn't restrian myslef around him. It was becuase he finally made sense to me...

Domino.

Domino.

"Domino" I mutered under my breath as his warm figure enveloped me.

"What did you say?" he asked pulling my face to his.

"uhhh, nothing! sorry I was...uhhh just so happy to see you again! It's uhh customary in Europe" I shook my head backing away from him, with a stupid blush. All the while only one thing was running through my head.

He was Domino.

He looked similar, but not quite the same as Domino, he had the eyes and the build, but no white flecks in his raven hair. Nonetheless, everyone else had a rencarnation so didn't that mean...

"Hey, no crying k?" he cooed, petting my hair reassuringly. I smiled at him as he gently wiped away my tears of happy reunioun.

"K" I amswered, and smiled brightly at him.

"Now that, that weirdness is over, lets get a lift to the hotel so we can set up the party...and guess what, since Kiaba is funding our expedition, he is coming too, I heard" Tea, said as we all got into Duke's convertible.

"Kiaba?" I asked, the name meant nothing to me.

"Seto Kiaba" Tea corected and she watched as my eyes went a little big.

"Oh...hehe great" I grumbled, slouching in the seat, uncomfortably.

"Don't worry, Yugi told him he better not lay a finger on you or else" Tea said patting my hand.

"Its not me I'm worried about" I whispered and right then we pulled into the parking garage.

We all got out and went up the stairs of the fancy hotel. It had been about a week, and Mateo and myslef had gotten a different room all together. Mainly because, he would not bunk with anybody but me. But thats by the way side. I have learned alot more about the culture and society of this alien place and have found it righteous. I have also learned not to ask questions unless to Bakura or someone else. They call me "weird". Though I find this title appropriate for me.

"So, we have part favors and cake, the whole works!" Tea exclaimed as she opened the bag she was carrying and set it on the table.

We where in the biggest of the hotel rooms, Yami's suite. Everyone greeted us with smiles as the bustling around continued. I spotted Paharaoh, talking idly to Tristan, and I looked away. I had not spoken with Yami since the incident. And I would not be the one to break the silence.

"Hey, Avari! Help me with the ballons?" Duke said, making it a question.

I watched him put on a sad puppy face, and laughed. Today Duke was wearing a pair of linen balck pants, that where tighter than I thought possible, a royal blue muscle shirt, and a pair of ankled boots with copper buckles. And of course his dice.

"No problem" I said smiling, and walking over. I swear all I did was smile like a fool around him. But now that I knew he was my beloved Domino, I couldn't have been happier.

"Thanks, now tie this one" he said handing me a purple, air filled, floating thing. I looked at it and stared confused.

"Here like this" he said, and I found strong tanned hands envelope my own and a warm heat at my back.

He had his arms around me and, was munipulating my fingers to tie the "balloon". When it was finished, he let go of me and when he saw my face, me laughed. I realized I was blushing and laughed nervously.

"Like that?" I said demonstrating, with a pink balloon.

"Like that...perfect" he said, not even glancing at the balloon.

Meanwhile, if one where to listen closely, one would hear faint, noises in the background whispering urgently.

"Yes, I agree, he must be put a stop too"

"Hmmm, down with Duke Devlin"
