I don't know what drove me to sleep with him.

He's so cold...so heartless...

I'll bet he just wanted a new fuck.

He's had both men and women alike.

I'll bet he's laughing at me right now. About how dumb I was to trust him...

'You stupid dolt. What makes you think he could ever love you?' my inner voice said. 'He's rich. You're poor. He's smart. You're not. He's the master. You're the puppy. You were nothing but a one-night-stand to him. Nothing but a little whore.' it taunted.

"No!" I choked out. "No! Stop it! He wouldn't! He cared! He promised." I whispered my last two words.

***Flashback***

Normal POV...

"Hey, Seto."

"Yes, pup?" Seto came up behind his boyfriend, wrapped his arms around his small waist, and put his head the smaller boy's shoulder.

"Could ya promise me somethin', dragon?" Seto began nuzzling his neck.

"Mmm-hmm." he muttered, making the smaller boy shiver as vibrations went up and down his spine.

"Could ya promise..." he began hesitantly. "...could ya promise to...to always care for me?" the puppy asked, not really used to this sort of thing.

The dragon mumbled something incoherent. "What?" The nuzzling stopped and the taller man turned the shorter of the two around to face him.

"I said: 'Of course. I will always care for you, pup, and I will never stop caring." Then, Seto kissed him. Softly...reassuringly. Almost... as if...they would be together...

...forever...

***End Flashback***

"What happened?" he sobbed. "Please come back! Please! I love you...Seto Kaiba." he whispered and cried himself to sleep.



***Somewhere else***

Almost as if this man, Seto Kaiba, had heard every word the boy had said, he whispered softly, "I'm sorry, puppy. I didn't want to hurt you. I never wanted to. I need more time to think, though. I've never cared so much for one person, other than Mokuba. But...I do love you...Jounouchi Katsuya." With that said, the young man left, not making a sound, off...

...off into the darkness of the night...
