My Story 8

<Kira's POV>

'His eyes are red, I thought they were violet, but I guess not. As much as I hate to admit it but he has pretty eyes. They remind me of rubies. <sigh> I wish he'd stop staring at me like that, it's kind of scaring me. Oh crap, he could be reading my mind right now!...Oh well if he is he already heard me or read me...or...whatever.'

<Yami's POV>

'Does she really think my eyes are pretty?' My stomach grumbled again. <<sweatdrops>> "Yami, you should really eat." "Not unless you eat too. I'm not eating until you eat. I bet you haven't eaten in days and you need to recover. In fact you shouldn't have been out that long last night. How do you expect to get better?" "When did you start caring?" That hit me hard, 'That's a good question. I'll just have to give a good answer.' "Well I'm starting now. And you could have used Phera's bedroom last night instead of the floor. Goodness sake, do you even care about your health or your body? Doesn't your neck hurt from sleeping in the wrong position?" She looked at me for a while and asked again, "Aren't you hungry? Let's go and eat, Yami and I'll answer those questions as we get there." "Okay." 'Why am I acting this way. Okay I'll admit, she's ok, but jumping at her with all these questions will just drive her away from me. And <gasp> I forgot about her oath. Damn it! Kira why do you need that oath, please get over it. I'll be good.'

When we got there, Phera was mad. "Father! Mother! Why does it take so long for two people to get the a dining room!" "Kira please don't raise your voice indoors, your face is getting red. You don't want to be a tomato now do you. A good student of mine knows how to keep their own temper." 'Kira can get scary sometimes. All that, coming out of such delicate lips.' Phera put her head down. "Yes mother, I'm sorry." "It's alright, now hurry up and eat, we need to start for lessons for to..." "OH no you don't, Kira after breakfast your going straight to bed." "But..." "No but and my decision is final Kira, don't make me carry you." "Oooh, I want to see father carrying mother. That's something I haven't seen yet. It's okay mother, you need your rest, we can start training tomorrow." I shook my head. "Phera your mother will not be able to train you for a week." "For a week! Yami, I'm fine, really. I can survive without rest, trust me. I can start training her tomor..." "No, means no Kira, don't be so selfish and don't make me babysit you." "Of course you can't babysit me Yami, your way too busy."

<Daughter Phera's POV>

"Mother why are you calling father by his first name?" "I gave her permission to." I think my father is starting to like mother. 'Please I pray that they'll finally be together forever and be happy.' I've been noticing that father has been very overprotective on what my mother does and he cares a lot, but speaks to her in very harsh ways sometimes. 'I've never seen him act this way. Oh, please let, what my father's feeling be love towards my mother, then we'd be a family.' "Phera eat, your food is getting cold." "Oh! Yes father."

<DM's POV>

Yami has been acting very protective of Kira. He won't let anyone get near her, well actually every guy that tries to make a move on her. It's funny to watch, and cute. He hasn't acted like this before Kira. 'What a woman can do to a man? It's a scary thought. I have to admit, I've grown softer ever since I first met DMG.' "DM, have you notice a difference in Yami? He's all overprotective of Kira. I think it kind of cute and weird at the same time. Don't you think? I mean he never was this protective of any woman, not even..." She shuddered. "Tea." Whenever she would hear or have to say that name she gets disgusted. I had to admit it was kind of scary to hear or say or see that person.

"Yeah, but I'm kind of glad, Kira is the person I was kind of hoping that Yami would get with, you know. I mean you don't see many woman who knows how to kiss ass, except for the special ones." I looked at her, she smiled. "Thank you DM, I love you." "I love you too DMG." Our lips met and we kissed passionately, until... "DM and DMG sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G! Hahahaha...." I looked and it was Celtic Guardian. "Will you shut up, that is so old!" "I'm just kidding, but hey Yami's be acting different." "I noticed and I'm kind of happy." "I think his friends are kind of glad too." From the distance came Celtic's dream girl. "Hey Celtic! There you are!" Celtic froze and blushed, but tried to hide it. It was Mystical Elf, but we all call her Misty. Celtic promised her that he will teacher her how to be a swords(wo)man. "Hey Misty, uuhh what's up!" "You promised to teach me how to be a 'swords(wo)man' since you said woman can't be swordsman." "When did I say that? Come on, let go." He turned to me. "See you guys later." Misty waved bye and we did like wise, but DMG. "Hey Misty make sure that Celtic don't do anything stupid! Have fun!" "Don't worry about it DMG! I will!" "Hey DMG! You need to stop teasing me like that!" "OH but Celtic, I can't help it it's just too much fun!" He just waved it off. He always did, he can never win a sarcastic DMG.

<Bakura's POV>

It was after breakfast. 'Hehe, Yami likes Kira! Yami likes Kira! I knew that something like this would happen.' "Hey Seto have you notice..." "Yes, I have, but lets not be overjoyed too quickly. You know how Yami can have a split personality in seconds, but just for fun..." I saw him go up to Kira. "Hey Kira!" "Oh, hey Seto! How have you been?" "I've been well, how about you and your brother?" "He's good too." "I would like to see him again! He's so cute and adorable." 'I see what he's doing, hmmm, maybe I should join his little game?' I ran up to her. "Kira! I heard you were hurt! Are you alright?!" "I'm fine Bakura, don't worry about it." I looked down at her waist. "Your bleeding! Are you sure?!" Seto came up from behind. "Yeah Kira maybe you should go to a bed." "No I'm just fine, you guys worry too much." I bent down a little. "Here I'll carry you..." Just then. "What are you two doing with Kira!?!" Our heads turned towards the voice.

It was Yami and his third eye appeared. "We were just worried about Kira and we thought that maybe she'd like to go to a bed." I explained. Yami's sennen eye stopped glowing and he ran towards Kira, pushing us aside. "Are you ok? Do you want to go to your room? Wait, did I tell you to go rest after breakfast?" He has his arms around her shoulders. Seto nudged me and I nodded, telling him I know. "Yeah but..." "And why are you out?" "Because I wanted to see outside, the breeze is very relaxing."

<Daughter Phera's POV>

Father has been very caring to mother, I wonder if my prayers have been answered. I took out Clefairy and DMG. "Hey guys! I've missed you a lot! Guess what?! I think father and mother might get together, forever! Wouldn't that be great!" I sigh and went through my treasure box and stumble apon... "Crystal!" It was a flute like instrument, but made out of coral shell. It's an old instrument that my mother use to play for me. I wonder if she still remembers. I ran to where mother, father, Seto and Bakura was. "Mother! Mother!" I ran into her arms. "What is it Phera?" "Look what I found in my treasure box!" I showed her Crystal. "You found Crystal. I haven't seen this in the longest time." "What is it?" "Father, it's a coral flute, but mother name her Crystal." "Can you play it mother? I want to hear it soo much!" "Okay." She was tuning it up, then she played. The melody echoed through the palace and it felt like time froze. Everything just stops, it was so beautiful.

<Yami's POV>

The wind, it looks like they're dancing around Kira. The music was beautiful, I was awe struck. From the looks of it, everyone was. When she was done everyone was disappointed as well as Phera. "I still got it. I was afraid I forgot." "That was purtiful mommy!" "Phera, you haven't said that in ages." Phera blushed. "I'm sorry mother, I meant it was beautiful. Father especially seem to like it." She smirked. 'She has my smirk.' I looked back at Kira, she was shining her flute. 'She seem so happy to see such a small thing. Well, I shouldn't be surprised, if I lost my puzzle and found after years I'd be happy too.'

It was almost lunch and I heard stomachs grumbling and from the distances... "Hey guys, where did all that music come from?" It was Joey. "Well whoever it was, they're sure better then your other 'entertainment' wanna-be people that keeps bugging you Yami." "Thank you Joey and that person was Kira." "Wow, you sure can play the coral flute. I haven't seen anyone who can actually play it." Seto came up. "How can a dog like you know something like that?" Joey was frustrated. "Grr, will you stop calling me a dog! And for your information, I know the coral flute history because my sister is also one of the few that can play it, you jerk." "Joey is right, not a lot of people can play this instrument because of it complexity and it rarity. They stopped making these long time ago." "200 years ago to be exact. It was to hard for people to play." Joey came up to Kira. "May I see that one." "Uhh, sure." 'I have never seen Joey so serious and he kind of sounds smart. Who knew he has so much knowledge of the flute.' "But this particular one has a legend behind it." "Yes, I know, my father told me it was used to invoke an unknown creatures from below and above the vast sea." "How did you find this one? Serenity told me that they hid this one because the creatures were too powerful to tame and to put them to sleep the flute must be played by the owner of the flute, which was an angel, but I forgot her name. After putting them to sleep, they hid it on a secret island." "I'm not sure, my father gave this to me when I was very young."

<<grumble>> "Hey I just remembered it's about lunch time. Let go and eat guys." 'Of course, he never forgets about eating.' "Come on Kira, let go eat." She nodded and got up. We went into the dining room and Phera was waiting for us. "Father is mother going to join us!?!" "Yes, she is." I looked at her and said, "After lunch I think you should go to bed for some rest." "Don't worry so much, I've been in worse situations." "But..." "I'll get well soon, even without the rest." "You'd get better sooner." "Yes, I would, but if I do rest, I'm afraid I'll get slower." "Slower?" "Father, I don't think you should argue with mother, especially when she's talking about her stamina and strengths and stuff." "But what does it mater of you get slower?" "What she meant by slower, she means, losing skill. If she rests for a week, than she's going to be slower in her movement and out of balance. Mother is very stubborn about those thing father so I wouldn't mess with her." "I understand, but please promise me that you'll rest for today."

<Kira's POV>

'I've never seen Yami like this. Why does he care so much about me getting my rest? He never did before, most of the time he'd say nothing or just give me this look, like he was angry at me all the time, for just being myself, but now.' I nodded and he gave me a smile. He led me to the dining table and pulled a seat for me. "Thank you." And I sat, then he sat. The food came, and there was a lot of food. I couldn't finish it all, so Joey helped. "Thank you Joey, this is too much food for me." "Don't worry, if you got food to spare, I help you finish it."

After lunch, Yami led me to my room and tucked me in. "You really don't have to do this Yami. Your busy yourself and babysitting me will only put more work on you." "Don't worry about it." "You know, it feels weird calling you by your first name, I feel so disrespectful." "I didn't mean for that to happen, well don't feel that way because I want you to call me that, ok?" I nodded. "I have to get to work so..." "Oh, you don't have to tell me that, just go." "Are you sure? If you need me just call." I gave him another nod. "I'll come back, there are a lot of things I want to say to you." I tilted my head. "Okay, take your time, obviously I'm not going anywhere." He smiled and then, he kissed me on my forehead.

<Yami's POV>

'What did I just do? Did I just...no, I couldn't have...' I looked at Kira and she was staring at me filled with shock. I didn't blame her I was felt if shock too. I blushed and turned my head. I heard a gasp. "I SAW IT! FATHER YOU KISSED MOTHER!" I turned around and saw Phera with a wide mouth. "Phera, close your mouth, that's not polite." Kira scolded her. All of a sudden. "What happened!?!?" It was Joey and the others. "Nothing." I snapped and gave them a glare that told them to leave. 'I want alone time to talk to Kira for a minute! Is that so hard to give!?' They all got scared and left.

I turned to Kira and sat next to her to apologized, "Kira, I'm very sorry, I didn't know what I was doing. Please forgive me. I..." She put a finger on my lips to hush me, I could feel my cheeks heating up. "It's fine Yami, I know you really didn't mean it. You just did it out of concern. Thank you." She took her finder off my lips and I spoke. "I did mean it...well sort of, but not in that way...if your thinking that way...well I shouldn't think that your thinking that..." I was getting frustrated and can tell she was getting confused and enjoying my choice was speech. "Well...ummm, you should get your rest." I was about to leave when... "Ummm, Kira?' "Yes?" "I was wondering if you were coming to my ball?" "I wasn't really thinking about it, I didn't think you'd mind if I didn't come..." "Oh...ummm...one last thing." "Yes?" She yawned. 'I should really let her rest.' "Ahhh...nevermind, lay down, you need it. I'm sorry I wasted your time." "Oh don't be sorry. I didn't mind at all." "Really!...I mean, really, okay then, take your rest."

I went out of her room and closed the door behind me. I let out a heavy sigh. 'I'm such an idiot! I made a fool out of myself...' I heard noises in the living room. When I got closer to the living room, I could hear everyone talking about me and...Kira. "Oh Kira, will you marry me?" <<Laughing in backround>> "Oh Yami, I thought you'd never ask. Of course, I will. I love you Yami." I stormed in. "WILL YOU GUYS STOP THIS!!!!!" <<sweatdrop>> Phera came up to me. "Oh father, do you really love mother?!" "Who told you that?" "The guys." I didn't know how to answer, well I guess I could...I blushed and tried to hide, but was not successful. "<gasp> YOU DO! YOU DO! YOU DO! Oh father I'm so happy!!!" All of a sudden her expression changed and became a lot scarier. I wouldn't have recognized it was her if I didn't know her. "Father, hopefully you won't mess things up with mother." I took a step back and gave an uneasy laugh. "Why would you think that?" "Well it's obvious. You would always break her heart! You were the reason why she's like this, father! When I lived with her, she turned down so many guys, I can't count them! If you do, who knows what mother is going to swear not to do! Probably, never talk to a man, especially, someone like you. So please, don't make any sudden moves on her, unless your really really really sure that you truly love her." Her expression told me that she wasn't lying. I nodded and I gave her a hug. "Don't worry about a thing, Phera. I won't." I could feel her tears falling on my shoulders. "Thank you father." 'I guess I should be careful about what I do and say in front of Kira and treat her as if she was my wife and hopefully she doesn't still have the oath.'
