This Chapter is how the two got together I hope you enjoy "Love & Pain" but read with caution there will probably be lemon every other chapter if not every chapter anyway enjoy!

Ryou sat contently watching television at Yugi's house although nothing was really on. Yami walked in and sat next to the Hikari. He was so much like Yugi so innocent and pure but in ways Ryou was different. Yugi would stand up for himself but Ryou was too frail to do so also he was much too forgiving to those who hurt him. Also he was so beautiful Yami had suppressed his feelings for him not wanting to scare the young boy but it was getting harder as the days passed. He sighed deeply catching Ryou's attention.

"Are you okay?" He asked innocently

"Yes, I'm fine." Yami answered, "What are you watching?" He asked trying to continue the conversation he rarely got the chance to talk with Ryou…he was so shy.

"Nothing really." He said clicking the television off "I just had nothing better to do." He said turning to face Yami.

"Why did you want to stay over tonight?" Yami asked

"Because Bakura is having company, not that I don't like spending time with Yugi or anything its just…" Ryou trailed off

"I know it's…distracting to say the least. I can only imagine…I'm guessing Yami Malik stopped by for a visit?" Yami asked

"Yes." Ryou said simply "Bakura really isn't such a bad person but when the two of them get together the outcome is never good…I don't understand how they can even tolerate each other much less be in love." Ryou said

Yami laughed slightly "loves a funny thing, I'm still trying to cope over Seto and Yugi being together I thought they hated each other." Yami said

"No, Seto only hates you." Ryou stopped "Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you I was just…" Yami held up a hand to stop Ryou

"That's a well known fact Ryou, and it's also the truth, so don't feel bad." Yami said

Although forgiven Ryou still felt bad for what he had said it wasn't very nice and he didn't want Yami to hate him.

"Your not angry?" He asked softly

"No, I don't get angry to easily." Yami said with a smile

Ryou looked away from Yami and to the clock, it was getting late. Yugi had gone to the store with Seto and said he would be back soon but that seemed to be more unlikely as the minutes passed.

"I'm guessing Yugi won't be coming home." Ryou said

"That sounded more like a statement than a question Ryou." Yami said

Ryou only shrugged. "You don't mind if I still stay…do you?" Ryou asked

"No." Yami said

Yami kicked himself mentally 'that sounded desperate' he said to himself. He didn't want Ryou to know how he felt it was a lost cause he had turned Joey down so what would make Ryou want to be with him. Ryou smiled at Yami sweetly.

"Thanks Yami." Ryou said

"Um, Ryou I wanted to ask you something." Yami said

"What is it?" Ryou asked

"About Joey." Yami stated

"Oh…I..." Ryou said

"Please Ryou…I just wanted to know if…" Yami began

"If I did it because he's the same sex, and the answer is no its not because he is a guy. It was because I know he genuinely cares about me and possibly even loves me…but I can't return that kind of affection, not to him because I don't feel that way. I just didn't want to start a relationship when I knew I didn't have feelings of that sort for the person it wouldn't be right." Ryou paused "Everyone assumes that I did it because Joeys a guy when I didn't…I just didn't want to break his heart." Ryou explained

Yami smiled he was happy that Ryou could possibly like other men but weather or not he liked him Yami had to still find out.

"So you do like other men?" Yami asked hoping to confirm.

"I believe love knows no gender." Ryou said

Yami smiled at him, Ryou was even more innocent than he thought. "Its getting late…you should probably head upstairs to get some sleep." Yami said

"Where will you sleep?" Ryou asked

"Down here." Yami said planting himself on the couch

"I couldn't let you do that, this is your house after all Yami." Ryou protested

"And you are my guest Ryou." Yami said

"No I am Yugi's guest, you sleep upstairs." Ryou said sitting down next to Yami

Yami rolled his eyes "Cant you accept kindness without a guilt trip?" Yami asked

"No not really, that's why you don't see me at other peoples houses. I eventually get on their nerves." Ryou said

Yami just shook his head and picked Ryou up throwing him over his shoulder.

"Hey! Yami put me down!" Ryou said prying at Yami's arms.

"If you think you are going to break my grip your wrong." Yami said simply walking into the bedroom and placing Ryou on the bed.

"Your not being fair Yami, I feel like I'm burdening you." Ryou pouted

Yami smiled he was adorable in this state "There is only one bed Ryou." Yami said

"…You can sleep with me if you want." Ryou said unsurely

"You wouldn't mind?" Yami asked

"No, not at all. I would also feel better." Ryou said

Yami bit his lower lip thinking…no he couldn't sleep in the same bed as Ryou his will power wasn't that strong however, he was passing up a once in a lifetime opportunity to be close to Ryou without being asked any questions, and since it was Ryou's invitation he wouldn't mind either.

"I cant Ryou." Yami said

"Is this because of me?" Ryou asked

"Yes." Yami answered but to quickly "I mean no…"

"Its all right if you don't like me Yami." Ryou said

"That's not what I meant Ryou I do like you." Yami paused "I like you a lot…that's why I don't think I should be that close to you, I'm not exactly noted for will power." Yami said looking away from Ryou.

Ryou stayed silent for a moment, Yami liked him…why? What could he possibly see in him? Also why was Ryou so relived when Yami said he did like him and that was the reason? Suddenly Ryou noticed Yami start to leave he jumped up grabbing his arm.

"Don't leave." Ryou said

"Why?" Yami asked a bit confused

"You don't need to leave…I…" Ryou couldn't think of a way to finish his sentence

Yami looked at Ryou curiously and gathered enough courage to lean over and kiss Ryou ever so gently so that if he wanted to pull away he could, but to Yami's relief he didn't pull away and he actually kissed back.

"So you don't hate me?" Yami asked pulling Ryou close

"No." Ryou said blushing slightly

"I'm glad." Yami said

He brought Ryou's chin up so that he could look into Ryou's eyes. He was so beautiful and Yami couldn't resist but to kiss him again pulling him to the bed and laying him down so he could dominate Ryou. Yami loved how submissive Ryou was being with him, he didn't like those who tried to be dominate over him but Ryou was perfect. He pushed his tongue past Ryou's lips, obviously slightly startling for Ryou, but allowed Yami to continue as Yami explored the boy's mouth. He pulled away so that he could breath as well as Ryou, Ryou slightly flushed. Yami smiled at him and gently kissed his cheek and neck not being able to refrain from running his hands down Ryou's body. Ryou stopped Yami's hands from moving any further, he wasn't so sure about this.

"Ryou?" Yami asked concerned "You know you can ask me to stop…do you want me to stop?" He asked hoping Ryou would say no.

"No, its just…I've never…" Ryou began

"This is your first time then." Yami said finishing Ryou's sentence.

"Y-yes." Ryou stammered slightly

Yami removed his hands, he didn't know Ryou was a virgin, he suspected this, but still it put everything in perspective. He had to make sure Ryou was okay with everything.

"Do you want me to continue? I'll stop now if you want me to." Yami said

"…I do want you to continue, but I…" Ryou stopped

"If you tell me to stop anytime I will." Yami said

Ryou nodded as Yami brought him into another deep kiss. He undid Ryou's button up shirt and slipped it off his shoulders. Ryou slightly shivered at the cold air and pulled Yami closer. Yami took of his own shirt and kissed down Ryou's neck and chest sucking upon Ryou's nipples and biting them gently. Ryou gasped at this although it slightly hurt he liked it nonetheless. Yami pulled Ryou's pants from him and any other article of clothing the two of them had left. Ryou was so beautiful in the pale lamplight a blush across his face and chest. Yami kissed Ryou as he gently slipped a finger inside Ryou; Ryou arched his back and gasped at the intrusion, trying to pull away.

"I know it hurts Ryou, relax it wont for long I promise." Yami cooed in Ryou's ear.

Ryou relaxed as Yami told him to and the pressure did not hurt as badly anymore. Yami kissed him again as he began to move his finger in and out of Ryou. Ryou refrained from whimpering and soon it didn't hurt anymore. Yami noticed Ryou relaxed and added a second then a third until he felt Ryou was ready.

"Ryou, this might hurt a little, I need to just relax okay?" Yami asked

Ryou nodded as he closed his eyes. Yami slowly pushed himself inside Ryou who couldn't help but cry out slightly. I hurt more than Ryou thought as tears stung the back of his eyes. Yami paused noticing Ryou's expression.

"Please love…relax I swear I wont hurt nearly as much if you do." Yami said

"Okay." Ryou said

He did as Yami asked although it still hurt Yami stopped being fully inside Ryou now.

He waited until Ryou was adjusted to his size until he continued. Yami took Ryou's length into his hand slowly pumping him with each thrust. The mix of pleasure and pain was wonderful and soon it just became pleasure for them both. Yami grabbed Ryou's wrist holding them above his head while he still stroked Ryou and slammed into Ryou.

"So tight Ryou…" Yami breathed "So very hot."

Yami crushed his lips against Ryou's who moaned into the kiss. Yami broke it and sucked upon Ryou's neck wanting to taste every inch of Ryou's body as he licked the side of his neck and brought him into another bruising kiss. His thrusts became more forceful as the pressure upon Ryou's wrists became harder but Ryou didn't say anything, he was so lost in the moment. Ryou climaxed pushing Yami over the edge as well as he exploded in Ryou collapsing on top of him breathing heavily. Ryou pulled his wrists from Yami's hold and wrapped his arms around him. Yami smiled

"You okay?" He asked da bit concerned

Ryou simply nodded sleepily as he nuzzled Yami's neck. Yami embraced Ryou lovingly and kissed him on the forehead gently.

"Goodnight love." Yami said before he fell asleep Ryou within his arms.
