Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Love Twice Lost ❯ Chapter 1
Disclaimer: Dustbunny doesn't own Yu Gi Oh! Thank every deity known to man.
Bunnydust: Have I mentioned that that guy annoys me?
Dustbunny: Hello out there my loyal fans! You're probably thinking ~ Good Lord, does she really need to have another fic to keep up with? She can barely handle the two she has! ~ But not to worry! This is a one shot.
Marshmallow: Yup, yup, yup! And it's to the parody of a song called Still by Reba.
Dustbunny: Hope you enjoy!

Isis Ishtar was on her way home when it happened. She saw someone who she both hated and loved, longed to see and wanted to forget. She had had a late night at work and was tired. So tired that she didn't even notice him at first.
He saw her, too, and did a double take. Then he smiled and headed her way. She looked around frantically for an escape. For somewhere she could go and pretend that she hadn't noticed him. But there was nowhere.
Besides, he was already there. He looked into her eyes and smiled warmly, something she hadn't ever expected to see him do. Nonetheless, he was smiling warmly and it almost melted her. She felt as though time had frozen just the two of them.
"It's been a while," he said as quietly as the busy street would allow. "How have you been? You look even more beautiful than I remember," he teased.
She smiled, struggling against her legs to stay standing. "I can't really complain, I've been doing great. I have a nice job and nice home." They continued to chat as other people rushed past on their way.
Suddenly, he put his arms around her and pulled her close, another thing she had never expected from him, and said, " I've missed you a lot."
Again, she felt her world stop. She stood rigid, unable to move. She most likely wouldn't have felt a bullet. The only thing that she could feel was her heart. It ached with the love she still harbored even after so long.
Out of nowhere, the blow came. The blow was a pretty young woman who came up to him. He put his arm proudly around her waist and introduced her as his wife.
Isis smiled the best she that she could and did her best to ignore the pain that her heart told her to feel. She was so dead inside that it felt as though her heart had already started to decay.
He pointed out how late it was and said that he and she had to be getting home. They said good-bye and walked away. Isis left in a daze. She didn't remember going home or going to bed. She didn't remember cutting up her arms, bandaging them, or the pain that it had caused. All she could remember feeling was the pain from inside.

Dustbunny: Well, there ya go! My one-shot angst.
Bunnydust: This turned pretty well.
Isis: What did I ever do to you to deserve this?
Marshmallow: You didn't do anything. We're just freaky.
Bunnydust: Speak for yourself.
Marshmallow: I did. I also spoke for you and Db.
Dustbunny: --' Anyway, please review!
Marshmallow: Don't I usually say that?
Dustbunny: Just returning the favor.
