Tamra: Hey all…. Ya'll Guess what! I had a great vacation!

Mokie: and you didn't take me?!

Tamra: couldn't…….. it was on short notice

Tamra: PARTY!!!

Mokie: You didn't have to do this.

Tamra: I insisted….and you should thank Yamifanner for the decorations.

Mokie: Hey Yamifanner!

Mokie and everyone: *turns around to look at Yamifanner* *Yamifanner and Yami are kissing in the corner of the room*

Joey: *lol*

Everyone else: *lol*

Chapter 20: Working again

After I finished I looked over it and re-read it to make sure it made sense. It did; I got up and went to my bed and laid down. I turned over on my left side and set my alarm clock on the night stand to five o'clock am. I fell asleep from the milk finally working until my alarm woke me up again.

The beeping sound gets annoying after the first five seconds, I have decided. I turned over on my side and shut the dang thing off. "Man I hate these things."

I got up, took a shower and got dressed into kaki shorts and a green camouflage shirt. I took the letter that I wrote to Seto and placed it in his room quietly and quickly before anyone knew I was even up.

I walked down to my basement to my working area. I didn't want to leave the house, but if anyone called or yelled for me, I wouldn't be able to hear them. Or if they looked for me, they wouldn't be able to find me for an hour - two hours. My house is huge!

My second workplace was in my house apart from the one in my office building away from my mansion. I walked up to a statue in the hallway and looked it in the eyes. It was some kind of vampire statue that I like a lot. I had a bunch of statues down this corridor, so if anyone wanted to get into my lab, they would have a lot of looking into statue's eyes to do. Plus my eyes scanner and voice activation would only open the door with my DNA behind me. My high technology was above all others in the world. `NO….that can't be. Look at Seto!'

I laughed silently as I sat down in my desk and turned on my computer after opening the door. The technology that I invented kicked in as I started typing and began my work.

~*~*~*~* Seto's POV

I woke up with someone knocking on the door. I got up and suddenly remembered what happened last night. `Tamra saved me again…' I looked over at the sleeping Mokuba on the couch, and kept pacing towards the door and opened it.

Ana was standing there, "Mr. Kaiba, breakfast is being made right now. If you get ready and take a shower it should be done by the time you get finished." Ana walked away without me saying a word to her.

I turned around and faced Mokuba standing behind me, "What was that all about?"

"It was Ana, she said to get ready."

"Oh…ok…………." I started walking towards the bathroom, "Seto! I found this on the bedside table!" Mokuba handed me a note.

I opened it, "Whose it from?"

"It's from Tamra."

"Well what does it say?"

I read it before reading it out loud,

Dear Mr. Kaiba,

Well, I guess you haven't heard that in a long time have you? Well up until my maid knocked on your door huh? Anyways, I am not in my room if you look for me. I am not in the dinning room either. In fact I am not even on the main floor or up and don't bother looking for me. I am in the basement somewhere in my secret lab, and trust me, you can't find it. I have a hard time myself. I have been up since five and I will be around for breakfast. If ya need me just call my cell that I have with me. Ana will give it to you, or just ask Mokie. He knows it; he can explain the story of our little bump in.

I closed the letter and faced Mokuba, "How do you know her cell?"

"Um…..well…I…um…I sorta found it."

"What do you mean by: sorta found it?" I glared at him with a death glare. "Spill it."

"Well, I went to go find her, this one time I went into her room, and her cell was on the desk. I picked it up and turned it on. Tamra came into her room and told me next time to just leave things alone. Then she told me her number so I could call her anytime I wanted."

"When did she catch you?"

"I was actually looking for you. It was when Tami came home from her friend's house and she walked you back to your room."

"So when I heard the door open, that was you five minutes later?"

"Pretty much."

"Ok…let's get ready."

I got ready along with Mokuba; he walked at my side while strolling down to the dinning room. (a/n: everyone is wearing their clothes. The maids have washed them and gave them back.) I sat down at the table as everyone came into the room and sat also. Outside started to get dark while I was sitting in the chair.

"Where's Tamra?"

"She's supposed to be here in a moment." Mokuba answered as all of them sat down.

"Oh..." Yugi sat down besides Mokuba.

BOOM!!! (a/n: I know….I suck at sound effects, you don't have to tell me twice!)

Thunder and lightening could be heard above the mansion as the maids came into the room and gave us our breakfast.

Fifteen minutes passed before I looked at Tamra's seat. `She is supposed to be here by now.'

I looked up and down the table. No one noticed that Tamra has been gone for sometime now. I started getting nervous before I considered the cell phone. `I could call the cell.'

I got up to go to go to the phone in the sitting room, "Seto where are you going?"

"I am just going to call someone." I walked out before Mokuba could say another word.

~*~*~*~*~* Tamra's POV/ reader's POV

I was zoned into my work before I looked at the clock. 8 o'clock was readable on the digital screen. `Ana must be waking them up by now.' I continued working and typing away on my computer. I was trying to get the board of directors to agree on the duel disk while trying to make a computer animated duel disk with holograms that come out of the computer. This way you can duel over the computer with the holograms in front of you, like you were in a real duel against your opponent in real life.

My cell phone went off at the same time as the fifth flash of lightening lit the room.

"Hello?"

"Where are you, you are supposed to be at breakfast fifteen minutes ago…now sixteen."

"I am sorry, I just got caught up in my work, and I'll be up in five."

"Ok…Are you alright alone in the basement?"

"I am fine, and if anything happens to me, I'll call my house."

"Love you."

"love ya, bye." I hung up the phone, and started on my work again. I was so close from getting the hologram to work, I didn't want to stop. Plus the board of directors were suppose to answer my request any given moment; I didn't want to leave my computer.

BOOM!

I jumped from the thunder. I was used to storms while I was in my basement, but this time it was different. I had a funny feeling run through my body as I stared at my computer screen. Two programs were running: my invention along with the program of online meetings.

As I stared I noticed that a third program was running. The title on the minimized rectangle was, "Dying is Painless."

My curiosity got the best of me as I clicked onto the minimized rectangle in my screen. It maximized into a full page. It was a letter written to me. I started reading the letter as shivers went up and down my back. I reached for my cell and dialed my phone number. Seto answered it; it was like he was waiting for me to call.

"Hello?" His deep voice echoed into my ear.

"S-Seto?" My voice was shaking with fear as well as I was.

"Tamra what's wrong?"

My voice escaped my lips with nothing more than a whisper, "I-I am scared Seto…."

"What happened? What's wrong? Are you ok?" He was scared as much as I was.

I glanced at my computer screen and shut my eyes before continuing, "My computer…i-its……s-someone is…..there is writing all over it."

"What does it say? Where are you?"

I opened my eyes, and didn't look at the screen but ahead of me. "I am in my lab, three floors down; you'll come to a hall that splits off. Go right and statues and doors down you'll come to one particular statue of a vampire; you can't get in without my voice and eye DNA. But I'll open it with my computer. Also the door will open behind you instead of in front." I paused, "Seto….I-I am scared, please hurry."

"I'll be there as fast as I can….but before I go, what does the computer say?"

I gulped before looking at my screen and telling him what it said, "Miss Knox, Dying is Painless if you cooperate. You have five minutes before we use full force against you. Believe me, it won't be a pretty sight." The screen turned a blood red as I read the letter to Seto.

I yelped as I watched the screen.

"I'll be there in a couple of seconds." Seto hung up as well as I did.

`I'll be fine, just as long as I open the statue and let Seto in, he'll be here before you know it.' I looked at the screen again. The words were fading into a black hue and were mixing with the red in the screen. I tried to exit the screen page but it wouldn't close. I was shaking all over as I got up from my desk.

"Since my computer won't cooperate, I guess I have to let Seto in myself." I was talking to myself as I walked over to the door. I pushed a button and the door opened, revealing the statue I was talking about on the opposite wall from me. The lights went out to the whole mansion as the lightening flashed lightening the whole hallway. `Of course: it won't be a pretty sight…"

I turned my head and saw a shadow flash on the wall from the lightening. I turned around to see a man in a mask hit me in the head.

I collapsed to ground when I heard, "Tamra!" faintly in the corridor.

Tamra: HELP ME!

(a/n: I think I might stop these little conversations at the beginning and end of every chapter. Cuz if you're like me, I never read them….and I just want to READ the story and find out what happens.)

Who and what was in her house? Who yelled Tamra in the corridor? Was it Seto? Who is sending threatening letters to Tamra?
