Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Master of the Magicians ❯ Chapter 7

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

I like making Yami suffer if he makes bad decisions. Hmm… this seems to be a recurring theme in all my fanfics….
Chapter 7

“You loved me… and I sent you to your death… and then, to protect me, you gave up your soul…!”
Mahaado did not reply as he held Yami.
“And I've been trying to seduce you to find out your secrets…!” Hmm. Maybe he should not have admitted that. Well, he'd been distraught. It was perfectly acceptable to do odd things.
Mahaado's arms tightened slightly around him, but it wasn't really anything wrong….
I… I don't deserve your love, but you still love.
I hurt you, and yet you still love. I don't deserve your loyalty, but you give it without question…
Do I love you?
I am not sure. Do I deserve to love you? What did I do to deserve this?
He was surprised to find tears on his face.

“Pharaoh…”
“Please, call me my name…” He was almost begging. The Game King… if Seto could have seen him, he'd never hear the end of it, but somehow, his pride was of no consequence right now.
He loved Mahaado. He wasn't sure why or how or if it was even logical, but he did. And it sure wasn't hallucinations, because if he were hallucinating, it wouldn't feel this real…
“I want you with me, forever by my side, forever until eternity…” He wasn't sure how the words left his mouth, but they did.
“I am already your sworn loyal servant for all eternity, Pharaoh.”
“None of that! Please, for once, I don't want you to cater to me… if you don't want this then tell me!”
“But…” How do I tell you that I have always been watching over you, longing for a touch, and now…
I cannot control my desire…
His monster was plaint and warm and willing beneath him, and all the logic in the world could not compete with this urgent need in his heart…
Mahaado…

“I never knew your name, Pharaoh.” Mahaado whispered, as they lay entwined between silken sheets, warm and sated, Yami occasionally letting out a contented purr. “I could not help you during the final battle…”
“Never?” Yami was surprised.
“We were friends, but you were always `Prince' to us.”
That made sense. Class rank and all that, still, it did not mean he had to like it!

It was complete. Mahaado was surprised - the Pharaoh's willingness had sped the magic up so fast, and of course the Realm had gladly provided energy to its shadow children for the necessary workings.
Now, though, he would have to learn not to keep his Pharaoh to himself. He'd gotten rather possessive, in the space of time Master Yami had been here.
He would have to reign in his protective instincts in the future.
Or… but no, then he would be unable to help his Pharaoh during duels.

Yami felt warm. He hadn't felt this way in so long. Even with Yuugi's light around, this was different. Shadow drew to shadow, kin called to kin after all…
“I love you, Mahaado.”
There. He had said it. It hadn't even hurt. The Dark Magician smiled at him, and then kissed him again.
“I live to please, my Pharaoh.”
Now that was interesting… but his favorite card was so much more real, here, in the Shadow Realm. A pity that he'd have to remember the reference for future duels.
His memories were still shaky in some areas, but surprisingly clear in others. He remembered his childhood, and his early reign as Pharaoh, but not much else…
He remembered Thief King Bakura, and how Mahaado had died in a duel with him and become the Dark Magician.
But he could not remember the final battle, nothing after summoning Osiris, and falling into darkness. No. He'd fought the Thief King in the abandoned city of Kuru Eruna, fought the ghosts of the past, seen his father come and bring the tormented souls of the villagers to the peaceful Afterlife…
That was what he remembered, yes…

It was not his entire memory, but it was enough. The rest of his memories - and his name, were small price to pay in return for sealing the shadow realm.
He would miss Mahaado when he went back to earth. He would miss Mana, too. He didn't see her as often, but she would always lighten his mood.
Amusing, and a wonderful friend…

“Mahaado…”
“Yes, my Pharaoh?”
He snuggled closer into that embrace. “Promise me you'll never leave me.”
It was an odd request, but Mahaado took it in stride. “I promise, my Pharaoh.”
The stars could die and the world fall to chaos, but as long as his Pharaoh lived, he would be at his side…
Yami wondered idly what part the god cards had to play, before he remembered their power. Of course! Power…. Power was addicting.
Perhaps that was why duelists sought to control their monsters. But the true duelists knew their monster's hearts, and respected them.
It seemed like he needed to work on that, but he would, oh he would…

Intoxication.
He was drowning and he didn't care. If this were the past, so be it… after all, without a past there was no future.
A pity Anzu…

“Pharaoh? You seem distracted.”
“I was just thinking of Anzu and how she torments me.”
“Ah…”
“But now is not the time. Kiss me again.”
“Of course, my Pharaoh…”

Mana giggled as she watched from behind a pillar. “So it finally happened.”
“Mm?”
She hugged the little Kuriboh that had followed her. “They finally got together. Isn't it wonderful, Kuri?”
“Kuri!”
