Al: (after pressing the buzzer 1,967 times) Well that was fun but I have bigger plans

 

Katie: Why don't you pick our next guest vistor?

 

Al: Ok.....me

 

Ryu: No, a YGO character

 

Al: Like I said, me ^__^

 

Ryu: I give up, she wins

 

Bakura: (in another room) Apparently we're dealing with an idiot here

 

Marik: (burnt to a crisp from being electricuted to many times) Well idiot or not she still has the remote

 

Yami: What are we going to do?

 

Malik: ^_^* If you don't insult them, they are actually really nice

 

Bakura: (snaps fingers) How about, we wait till they're both asleep and then we steal the remote

 

Al: (ears perk then whispers to Katie) I appears you have a few rebels on your hands

 

Katie: Yea I know, they keep trying to escape (shakes her head) but as long as they wear the shockers, they won't be a problem

 

Al: (stomach grumbles) Anyway I'm going to get some Chinese, want anything?

 

Katie: Just get a takeout special with spare ribs, white rice, chicken teriyaki, 4 egg rolls, sesame chicken, and ramen

 

Al: I'm guessing that's not all for you

 

Katie: Of course not the others are probably hungry too, so the whole thing is on me

 

Ryu: I'm surprised, your nice today

 

Katie: ^_^ Well I'm in a good mood

 

Ryu: (whispers to Al) Note that she is in a good mood after her romance scene between her and Kaiba

 

Al: (snickers)

 

Katie: (in deadly voice) Your lucky I'm in a good mood otherwise you'd be on fire right now

 

Al: (rolls eyes and says sarcasticly) Sure

 

Katie: -_-* Just someone do the god damn disclaimer

 

Al: She owns nothing 'cept herself, Ryu, the Millenium sword, the crazy plot, and me, actully since I'm based off of a real person she doesn't own me either

 

Katie: Now on with the story

Katie woke up the next morning with a soft blanket on her chest. *Where did this come from?* She also later noticed that she wasn't asleep by the window sill anymore. But that she was asleep on the hospital bed, and that Kaiba was awake and standing by the window sill.

 

Katie sat up on the bed and mumbled in a tired voice, "Last I checked you were sleeping on this bed"

 

"Hmph," was all he said in repy and Katie had to smile at this. *He can be really sweet sometimes, he just hates to admit it*

 

"By the way" he said suddenly breaking her out of her thoughts "I've been thinking about having you work as my cook and I've decided that you can have the job"

 

"Really?" Katie asked. "What made you change your mind?"

 

Kaiba blushed slightly and then said "Do you want the job or not?"

 

Katie grinned. "Sure I'll give it a shot"

 

"Good, than I'll meet you after school today at three"

 

"Wait" it finally clicked in her mind "Crap I forgot it was Wenesday." She look at the clock on the wall, it was 7:47. "Ok I completely forgot about my homework and I have 13 minutes to finish it, great"

 

Kaiba sighed and looked out the window, you could tell he was thinking about something. Then finally he sighed again, turned to Katie and said "You need help?"

 

At this point Katie was deciding between her pride or her grades and as far as she was concerned her grades didn't matter because she had no parents to get mad at her so she shook her head no and began to pack up her stuff for school.

 

"Can you do something for me?" Kaiba asked

 

"What do ya need?"

 

"Can you drop off Mokuba? It's on the way"

 

"Why can't you do it?"

 

"Because I have to take care of something at work and I'm going to be missing school"

 

"Lucky" Katie mumbled then looked around. "Hey where is Mokuba anyway?"

 

"He's out in the waiting room I told him you'd be dropping him off"

 

"Alright, I'll drop him off" She said as she slung her backpack over her shoulder. "See ya after school Kaiba"

 

"Hmph whatever"

 

Katie walked straight into the waiting room and found Mokuba smiling at her.

 

"Well Mokuba your brother is forcing me to drop you off at school so let's go"

 

"Thank you Kate, for everything" Mokuba said as they left the hospital

 

"Aw don't sweat it I kinda owe it your brother anyway. Just one question"

 

"Yea?"

 

"Why is your brother such an as-jerk?" She said quickly correcting herself. She had to keep in mind that there was a 10 year old right next to her.

 

"It's alright you can curse my brother curses all the time" Mokuba said while smiling, but to Katie the smile seemed half-hearted

 

"What's wrong?" Katie asked curiously

 

"Nothing, it's just...." He paused and turned to Katie "You won't tell my brother I told you right?"

 

"Of course I won't tell"

 

"I just miss the way my brother used to be before Gozaburo adopted us"

 

"You mean he wasn't always a jerk"

 

"No in fact he used to be really nice and he would smile all the time but now he's like a cold heartless monster"

 

"Now wait a minute, your brother isn't heartless, maybe cold, but not heartless"

 

"Yea your right"

 

"Sure I'm right, I'm always right" Katie said cheerfully

 

"Kate"

 

"Yea?"

 

"My brother really likes you, so promise me you won't leave him alone"

 

"Wait, do you mean 'like' in a friend kinda way or girlfriend kinda way?"

 

"Umm.......oh look there's my school, bye Kate" with that he ran off into the school leaving a very pissed off Katie.

 

*Sigh, oh well might as well get to school* with that she kept walking towards her school which was 5 buildings away.

 

As she walked away Mokuba watched from the window and thought to himself. I never thought that anyone would be able to soften my brother's heart. Maybe if this girl does stay with him, than maybe she can heal him completely and then I'll have my brother the way he used to be. Mokuba smiled I would really like that.

 

 

*I AM GOING TO KILL KAIBA!!!!!* Katie shouted in her mind. After she got a dentention for being late to class. *WHY?!? WHY DO I PITY A GUY-NO, MORE LIKE A PIG-HEADED, ARROGANT, ASSHOLE, WHO MAKES MILLONS A WEEK!!!!! Now I got a fricken detention, not like I'll go or anything* Katie growled in her mind.

 

It was already lunchtime and she didn't bring any money or pack herself a lunch. She didn't even have dinner last night or breakfast so she was starving.

 

She entered the lunchroom and easily found Joey and the others. So she sat down between Joey and Ryou.

 

"Wh-ftt frong" Joey said with his mouth full of food

 

"Please Joey, swallow your food first, I'm not in the mood to see what you are eating" Katie said looking a little pale

 

This time Ryou asked "I think what he was trying to say was; what's wrong?"

 

"Nothing I just haven't been eating anything in 24 hours and I forgot to pack a lunch, but other than that I'm just peachy." She said with a hint of sarcasim in her voice.

 

"Why would ya do somthin like dat?" Joey asked after swallowing his food

 

Katie wasn't listening she was too busy staring at Ryou's lunch which was sushi.

 

Ryou glanced at Katie. "Do you want some?" He offered politely while smiling.

 

Katie nodded and grabbed one off the plate. "Thank you" she said and ate it happily. *Well at least it's something* she thought.

 

The bell rang and Katie, Joey, Ryou and Yugi went to gym while Tea, Duke, and Tristen went to health.

 

"Today class" The gym teacher shouted in a military style voice "We'll be playing dodge ball"

 

As soon as dodge ball was mentioned Yugi gave off that scared look that said 'I'm the kid who everyone aims for in this game'

 

"You will be split into two teams and team captains are Joey and Elizabeth"

 

Now people like Elizabeth had different names in Katie's mind, preppy, whore, bitch, and a girl who was simply a fan of Kaiba. Acually to say she was a fan would be an understatement, she was OBSESSED with Kaiba. She's the reason that Kaiba hired Allison, to keep her away from him and just like every Kaiba fan, she dispised Katie and on top of that, she was the spoiled daughter of the second richest guy in Domino and the world. Yet as popular as she was she only had two good friends; Samantha, and Lara.

 

Samatha was nice but incredibly naive, at least that's what most people thought. She was actually very smart and cunning. Whenever some guy trys to take advantage of her (*cough cough* Tristen) they would end up beaten by the second girl of the duo; Lara.

 

How to put this.... Lara is a miget. Even though she's small she has a temper over 6 feet high. When Samantha is in trouble the first person to help her would be Lara. Lara is the sensible and logical one of the group and she is always trying to talk Elizabeth out of her crazy attempts to get Kaiba to fall in love with her, yet Elizabeth refuses to listen.

 

After a few minutes these were the teams:

 

Team 1: Joey, Katie, Yugi, 5 preps, and 5 jocks

 

Team 2: Elizabeth, Ryou, Samantha, Lara, and 9 nameless preps we call satellites

 

"LET THE GAME BEGIN!!!!!"

 

*I feel like I'm in the miltary with this gym teacher* Katie thought as she grabbed a dodge ball and threw it as hard as she could at one of the satellite preps. The ball hit it's target extreamly hard in the face. *Yep still got it*

 

Meanwhile with Yugi everyone on the other team, except Ryou and Samantha, kept aiming and trying to hit Yugi.

 

)Would you like me to help Yugi?(

(Yes help would be nice)

 

At that moment the eye of the Millenium Puzzle glowed brightly and Yugi was replaced by Yami. This went unnoticed by mostly everyone except Ryou and Katie.

 

-So the pharaoh wants to play dodge ball. Hikari I want to play too-

+No Bakura I won't let you turn this into a shadow game+

-What makes you think I'm going to turn this into a shadow game? I just want to have some fun with the pharaoh-

+That's so reassuring+

-Please hikari I'll be good............heads up- Bakura thought to Ryou as a ball sent by a jock was aimed right for his head.

 

Bakura chose that moment, while Ryou was distracted and took control of his body.

 

"There now this is much better." Bakura said now in Ryou's body, "and on top of that I have a chance to beat the pharaoh and one of those five girls." He smiled evily. "This will be fun"

 

Kate noticed the change in both of her friends and it was kinda hard not to, considering both of their eyes narrowed and they were both dodging and throwing the dodge ball at their targets like they've been practicing for 5000 years.

 

^Hikari allow me to take over^

*Why?*

^I sense something bad is about to take place and I might need to take control for a second^

 

Katie knew from the sound of her yami's voice that she was serious. *Ok* and with that the ruby on her finger glowed and the two of them switched places.

 

It was almost impossible to tell the difference the only difference was Katie eyes were blue while Ryu's were a brilliant gold.

 

By then both Yami and Bakura had KO'ed everyone except Ryu.

 

"Well, well, if it isn't the pharaoh and his little body guard Ryu"

 

"Watch what you say Bakura or I'll rip your lungs out" Ryu growled

 

Bakura shook his head. "Still a hot-head eh? Well anyway since your here you might as well play in my shadow game."

 

"What shadow game?" Yami said while glaring at Bakura

 

"Oh come on why do you think I knocked out everyone except you and Ryu, cause I felt like it" Bakura laughed "Oh no I have much bigger plans"

 

As soon as he said that the shadows from the Millenium ring began to swarm around the gym causing it to disappear all together.

 

"Oh hold on, this isn't fair. It's you two against me, I think I'll call a friend" He reached into a shadow and pulled out what looked like an egyptain boy with blond hair and dark violet eyes filled with darkness and rage.

 

"Marik!" Yami gasped

 

"Who?" Ryu asked

 

"My dear girl, it doesn't matter who I am because you won't be around much longer" Marik said while pulling out a sword made from darkness.

 

"Don't underestimate her, I did once 5000 years ago and it almost cost me my life"

Bakura advised to Marik.

 

"Don't worry, even if she is one of those five, she doesn't have a weapon so she'll never win" Marik replied licking the blade of his sword.

 

Ryu smirked "That's what you think."

 

She held out her left palm (A/n yes I'm left handed) and soon several small embers gathered to form a bright red and gold sword with a flame going from the tip of the blade up.

 

Bakura gave off an evil smile. "While the children play, what do say we have a duel since neither of us have any battle experience or weapons?"

 

"Your on" was Yami's reply

 

"Let the game begin" Bakura smiled evily and got out his deck.

 

Ryu faced Marik "Children? Something's wrong with him but then again your not much better." She smirked and held her sword out defensivly. "Ready when you are"

 

He smirked and held his sword in ready position. "Ladies first"

 

(A/n I suck at fight scenes so please don't kill me)

Ryu charged at Marik and sliced sideways. Marik jumped back, and dodged a fatal hit, but Ryu just barely managed to slashed his shoulder.

 

"Wretch" Marik growled and charged with his shadow sword. He slashed downward which Ryu blocked easily.

 

Ryu then felt a pain in her shoulder. She turned and saw her own blood.

 

^But I blocked the sword how could he...?^

 

"Confused? That's understandable" Marik said while smirking "Things are not as they appear."

 

Ryu looked at his sword and noticed that the bloodstains from the hit to her shoulder were swirled around in the shape of an ax.

 

^So that's it, it looks like a sword but that's just an illusion the real weapon is the ax^ Ryu thought as she took one of her hikari's bandanas wrapped it around her shoulder. ^So if I look at it as an ax instead of a sword I might win^

 

"Ok let's try that again" Ryu said holding out her sword "no holding back, nothing hidden"

 

"Why this is fair don't you think"

 

Ryu went full out without pausing for a second and managed to slash his stomach.

 

Then Marik made a stab motion with his sword which Katie also dodged, but Marik quickly slashed sideways cutting deeply into her stomach.

 

She hacked up a small pool of blood and wiped her mouth "Is that all you got, blondie?"

 

"Not even close" then he looked at her and smirked "You don't remember do you? The friends, the pain, or the power that you once had"

 

"What are you talking about?" Ryu asked getting more and more steamed as he laughed.

 

"I'm talking about your past Ryu, you probably forgot everything just like the pharaoh. Well maybe some things are better left undiscovered cause once you realize your past, you'll wish you never found out." Marik said while smirking.

 

Bakura smiled and decided to be a part of the conversation "He's right, the pain of your memory might break your sad little heart or cause you to feel hatred towards your lighter side, if that's the case you also might want to kill her."

 

Ryu could feel anger eating away at her kindness. Both of them just crossed the line and they were both going to be destroyed.

 

"I will never hurt my hikari! But that's something you will never understand Bakura." She growled at Bakura "Now why don't you get back to your duel and I'll get back to mine"

 

Bakura smiled and shruged "Well I warned you, but I doubt you'll listen" he said turning back to his duel with the pharaoh who was just as steamed as Ryu.

 

This time Ryu charged Marik, a stupid mistake on her part, because once she was about to cut his throat he spun around her and stabbed her in the back.

 

She fell to the ground and coughed up more blood. "Well you won the shadow game Marik so you might as well kill me" Ryu said keeping her eyes closed

 

Marik smirked "Not yet" Marik said as he pulled his sword out of her back. "I want you to live to see your past and you'll understand what I mean by pain"

 

Those were the last words she heard before she eventually blacked out.

 

 

Katie: Gory I know, but hey if you think this is bad check out some PG-13 Naruto stories, compared to that this story is mild. The reason why this is different from what I usually write is because if Al doesn't get her weekly violence, she'll kill us all ^_^*.

 

Al: Open the door Katie I bring food

 

Katie: -_-* Is it in your stomach?

 

Al:............Maybe >_>

 

Katie: -_-*

 

Al: I'm kidding just open up, the cops are looking for me

 

Ryu: O_O What the hell did you this time?

 

Al: ^_^ Let's just say this food was illegally gotten

 

Everyone except Katie: O_O

 

Ryu: (to katie) 1 day, 1 FRICKEN' DAY AND SHE'S ALREADY BROUGHT THE POLICE HERE!!!!!!

 

Al: Just let me in

 

Katie: Fine (opens the door)

 

Al: (runs in, slams the door, and runs somewhere to hide)

 

Door: *dingdong*

 

Al: If it's the cops, I was never here

 

Katie: (sighs and opens the door) Hello, can I help you?

 

Cop: Yea I'm looking for a girl with dirty blond hair apparently she stole some food from the China King, have you seen her?

 

Katie: Nope sorry

 

Cop: It's ok just call when you see her (turns to leave)

 

Bakura: (smirks and says innocently) It's a good thing he didn't find the dead bodies huh?

 

Cop: What!?

 

Katie: O_O Nothing (shuts door) WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET ME ARRESTED?!?!?!?!

 

Bakura: (smiles) Oh damn, you figured me out

 

Katie: When I get through with you, you little son-of-a-bitch, you'll wish you were dead (gets out Al's machine gun and fires it at Bakura)

 

Bakura: AHHH!!!! BITCH!!!(ducks under table)

 

Ryu: ^_^ I guess I'll do the review replies
