Disclaimer: I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! Yu-Gi-Oh! belongs to the all mighty Kasuki Takahashi (YugiGirl bends down and worships him) so please don't sue me, and if you do, you must realize I don't have any money. I'm as broke as … as broke can get. Also I don't own another person that will be mentioned later on in the fiction, but I don't want to spoil it for you guys.

PROLOGUE

THE PAST IS PAINFUL

"Big brother! PHONE!" Mokuba Kaiba yelled holding the phone up.

Seto Kaiba scowls at Mokuba after he broke his concentration for the third time today. "Tell whoever it is that I'm busy!"

Mokuba looked annoyed and held the phone up to his ear, "Who is this? My brother won't answer right now. I'll have him call you back later."

"This is Ishizu Ishtar and this is urgent. Let me talk to your brother," the voice on the phone answered.

At this point, Mokuba was greatly annoyed, along with Seto and Ishizu. "BIG BROTHER! IT'S ISHIZU AND SHE SAYS IT'S URGENT!"

Seto grimaced, but he finally took the phone and angrily yelled, "What?"

"Mr. Kaiba, are you interested in a card more powerful than Exodia?" Ishizu asked.

"Ahem, we've been through this already," Seto said, "OF COURSE! But I also now know there's nothing more powerful that the god cards."

"Well, must I also say that would you like the most powerful God card?" Ishizu said.

Now Seto was interested. "So, you have to offer me another god card? But you can't. I have one, Yugi Muto has one, and that crazy psychotic guy has one. There ARE only three."

"Correct Seto Kaiba, but need I say more? I have managed to get one of the god cards back, actually the most powerful one back. Now if you want it, I need something from you in return."

"What do you want?" Seto asked curiously.

"We must continue our conversation at the Domino Museum. There is also something I need to show you there."

"Not again," Seto groaned. "Fine, but I better get what I want when I get there."

"As long as you do what I ask. Good bye Seto Kaiba and I will see you at Domino Museum in a few minutes."

They hung up and Seto called in a guard. "Watch my brother; I'll be at the Domino Museum. It won't be long."

As Seto Kaiba entered the museum, once again he is greeted by Ishizu Ishtar. Two guards standing near the entrance and lock up the doors. "All the doors are locked up. No one is allowed in or out."

Kaiba smirked remembering the last time these people said this. "Already, I am bored," he said looking at a contorted looking Ishizu.

"Oh don't be ridiculous Seto Kaiba. This time, I won't need to tell you about the origination of duel monsters," Ishizu said.

"You better not. I have more important things to do than to hear your old legend again. What is it that you want this time?"

"Look at this stone carving," Ishizu pointed towards huge mass of rock.

Seto observed the carving and said, "There's nothing quite interesting about it. It's just a group of women."

"Not just women. They are the most beautiful women of they're time. And they were all of your wives."

"NO! THIS CAN'T BE!" Seto exclaimed in a mixture of shock and fear.

"Yes it is true. When you were an Egyptian priest, you had multiple wives. Now history repeats itself, Seto Kaiba."

"You mean, I HAVE TO GET MARRIED?" Seto looked crazily at Ishizu.

"Oh no. You've got this all wrong. You have to host a beauty pageant."

"A beauty pageant? Why on earth would I want to host a beauty pageant? Hey wait a minute! What does a beauty pageant have anything to do with anything?"

"Every year the `Miss Duel Monsters Pageant' will occur. Many young ladies sign up hoping to become the next `Miss Queen of Duel Monsters.' Unknown to all of the ladies, a powerful magic can be harnessed once having the title. My brother is signing up in the pageant and wants the power. Only my brother, the pharaoh, and I know how to harness that power. The biggest problem is that the pharaoh does not have the memory of how to harness it or how to stop it. So I trust you to make sure that my brother doesn't win."

"One second. You're brother is a … non-female type being. You think he can win?" Seto snickered. "Even brain washed people could tell the difference between a man and a woman."

"Oh you don't know my brother. I will also be entering this contest… to make sure nothing goes wrong… backstage. Please, will you do this for me Seto Kaiba? The whole world is depending on you."

"What a waste of time? Why should I?" Seto asked.

"Because I have…" Ishizu held up a card. It was the Winged Dragon of Ra. "This card. But I will only give it to you if you manage this pageant successfully."

Seto looked at the card and said, "And if I don't succeed?"

"Then I'll use my Millennium Necklace to bring you back in time with all of your past wives."

"NO! ANYTHING BUT THAT!! OK! I'll manage this pageant for you. But I better get that card by the end. By the way, how did you get it anyways?"

"Slipped it out of my brother's deck. Now, do we have a deal?"

"Yea."

A/N: What a great prologue! ^^ This is just the setup of the pageant. I will try to make this as funny as I can, but this wasn't too funny. (I am a humor writer, so… this isn't too good for my standards, lol) Also the next chapter will not actually be the very start of the story but will be a list of main characters and their descriptions since there will be many of my original characters (based on friends) and the occasional Yu-Gi-Oh! characters. Hope you enjoy my … THIRD fan fiction. (Wow! I didn't think I'd get that far)

* Btw, do priest have wives, or allowed to have multiple wives? lol, if they aren't, oh well.
