My True Life
Chapter 1
Though, living an imaginary life without realizing it and waking from that existence seemed logical to Seto he found it to be harder to coup knowing that everything he had known never been. Yami stood watching Seto as he tried to pull some memory of his true life out of the mixture of memories in his head. All he knew was that he was the owner of Kaiba Corp. and Mokuba was his younger brother. "Not much to go on is there?" Yami replied. "I know how it is to believe you have one life and yet, lead another."
"How so?" Seto asked.
"I believed myself to be Yugi for a while, until I began to realize I was only a guest in his mind." Yami responded.
"What is dueling?" Seto asked as the words just seemed to pop into his mind.
"You remember that?", Yami replied, suddenly. "Duel Monsters?!!!"
"No just... Dueling.", Seto replied. "Just the word, nothing else really."
"But, that's better than what we've had so far.", Yami sighed.
"Why, is there something important I've forgotten?" Seto asked.
"Well, I don't know if you could forget something you've never had so I can't answer." Yami replied. "But, if you want to relearn how to duel I can try to jog your memory a bit. Your deck is inside your briefcase, by the way. I'll go ahead and get it for you.",
As Yami got the game set up, carefully explaining each rule, being careful not to skip anything. "So, you got all of that?", Yami asked.
"Yeah, I think so.", Seto replied.
So, began the duel. At first, Yami was going really easy, but each time Seto got a stronger plan Yami had to up his a bit. Until soon, Seto had three cards on the field. He combined his three Blue- Eyes and won the game. Yami just sighed, he was rusty from not playing since Seto had been in comatose. When it was brought up though, Seto wanted to know why. So, Yami began to explain. "When I heard you had been in coma since the accident, well, I.... I wanted to help in some way", Yami explained. "When Yugi told me I could volunteer here and care for you, well... I knew I wouldn't have time to duel anymore, so I gave it up."
"You did that because I was in the hospital?", Seto asked.
"Anyone would give up all they had if it could help someone they really cared about, right?" Yami asked, looking softly up at Seto.
Seto couldn't stop his stomach from spinning in circles, those two, seductive eyes borrowing into his soul like knives, and the fair skin tainted just a bit with the blush from Yami's cheeks. Seto licked his dried lips absentmindedly. "Yeah, well, I'm kinda hungry after that, if you don't mind could you?", Seto asked.
"No problem. I'll be back." Yami replied, leaving.
Soon, Yugi entered, taking the place his yami had been. "Seto?" Yugi asked.
"Yes, what is it?", Seto replied.
"When you lived your pretend life, was it, perfect?" Yugi asked.
"No, I mean, the girl I was married to was just as bad as any married person could be I guess." Seto said. "You look like a little impish cherub when you pout, you know.",
"I do not pout, I just look like this normally.", Yugi replied.
'Am I feeling love? But, I can't, I mean, I like women, female, or do I really?' Seto couldn't help but think.
.....
Later that night, the three of them watched a movie together on TV and all three fell asleep.
End Chapter: In the morning, Seto finds the answer to his question.
