(My poor bishies... I torture them so... *sniffles*)

-~^~-

"Oi, Noa!" Jako calls as I walk over. One look at my face and he frowns. "What is it?"

"Get me out of here." I whisper.

"If your pops catches you skipping..." Jako starts, looking worried.

"Right now, I really don't care." I cut him off sharply.

"We know how you don't care." Seto says drily, walking up next to me. I glare at him while he looks at Jako. "Who are you?"

"Jako. You must be Seto." Jako smirks at the surprised look on Seto's face. "Noa already told me your name."

"Funny." Seto gives me an annoyed look.

"Oh, lay off!" I growl.

Jako's eyes narrow. "Noa, what happened to your finger?" He asks sharply.

"Gozaburo-sama broke it." Seto says darkly.

"Do you mind going away!" I shout at him.

"Wait, your pops broke your finger again? What did you do this time?" Jako cut in.

"Again?! Noa, you never told me he's done this before!" Seto exclaims.

I groan and look at Jako. "Get me out of here and I'll tell you."

"Hey, I'm coming with." Seto warns.

"Do you have your things?" Jako inquires.

"Yeah." I nod to the bag in my hand. Seto holds up my own bag. I glare at him.

"Can you climb the fence?" Jako asks seriously, breaking our glaring contest. I shake my head. "That yaro. Come on. We'll go out the back."

"Arigatou." I mumble, starting to walk along the fence. Seto falls into step beside me, while Jako walks on the other side of the fence.

"Wanna tell me what you did while we're walking?" Jako asks, watching me.

"He found out that Seto and I didn't come straight home, and I didn't tell him where we were." I mumble.

"Smart move. I wanted you in one piece too, you know." Jako informs me drily.

I smile. "I know." I jerk my thumb at Seto. "He doesn't like me protecting me."

"I don't like you in that house." Jako says sharply.

"I don't like it there, either!" I glare at Jako. "You think he won't look for me if I disappear?"

"I wonder sometimes, the way he treats you." Jako replies calmly. He's used to my mood swings by now, and we've talked about this subject in the past.

We fall, once again, into silence. I grit my teeth as I step on something and pain shoots through my back. Seto glances at my face, then takes my bag wordlessly. He did the same thing this morning. I complained then and he told me to shut up. So, this time, I keep my mouth shut. I don't feel like arguing with him again, and we need to do this silently. We're not, actually, supposed to be this far from the teachers.

We stop at the hole in the fence. Jako holds out a hand. "Give me the bags." He orders Seto, who hands them over silently. "Come on." Jako stands back, giving us room. I step through, then Seto gets through. Jako hands Seto his bag, but holds on to mine. I give him a look. "Noa, stop looking at me like that. I'm not giving it back to you, unless you can wear it on your back."

"Fine." I mumble, looking away.

Seto frowns at me. "Noa, what's wrong with your back?"

Jako gives me a questioning look. "You haven't quite explained to him what a `lesson' is yet, have you?" I shake my head. "Want me to?"

"Whatever." I shrug, then grit my teeth again.

"Don't do that." Jako suggests. I roll my eyes and he smiles. He turns to Seto with a serious look. "Gozaburo has many way of handing out `lessons'. Since I've known Noa, I've learned of three, and I know there are some he's not telling me." I shoot him a dark look. "The three I know about are: breaking body parts, specifically fingers; using his whip; or using his knife."

Seto's eyes widen and he gapes at me. "Why didn't you tell me all this?" He whispers.

I look away. "What would you have done if I had?"

"I would have killed him!"

"Bad idea." Jako says pointedly. "You see, people in the past who have tried killing Kaiba Gozaburo have disappeared or been found dead in gruesome manners. The man is sick, there is no doubt about that. You've seen, or at least heard, what he does to Noa. What is to stop him from killing you? You're not his flesh in blood. Noa is the only thing, right now, keeping you from some very serious pain." Seto lets out a growl and clenches his fists as Jako turns to me. "I would like to see everything he did when we reach the hide-out. If he got your back, you may not have fixed it up properly."

"I know I didn't I couldn't see some of it, even in the mirror." I tell him lightly. "I was, actually, hoping you could look at it."

"Sure. I don't want you wandering around with improperly bandaged wounds again. That last time you did that, as I recall, you had to stay home sick for three days."

I shiver. "I never want to do that again."

"I know you don't." Jako says sympathetically.

"What happened?" Seto asks.

"Chichiue had to stay home with me. Never make him miss work, you'll regret it later." I say drily.

"Why didn't he just force you to go to school?" Seto asks.

"I threatened to go to the nurse." I shrug. "He made that first day living hell for me, so I wanted to go to school the next day. Of course, he said I couldn't, because I wasn't healed yet."

"Yaro." Seto growls under his breath.

"I've been calling him that for years." Jako laughs. "I think Noa finally caught on, too." I roll my eyes. Jako nods at the small, boarded-up building we come to a stop in front of. "Here we are. Home sweet home."

I snicker. "I still think we need a plaque that says that."

"I told the others. They think you're insane, but Moru thinks it a great idea. Last I knew, he was still trying to get his pops to make one." Jako smiles.

I laugh. "He would." Then I turn to Seto. "Moru's otosan is the town's wood worker." I explain. "You'll find that a lot of the nicer stuff inside is from him."

"That's cool." Seto says as Jako knocks on the door twice. A knock follows. Jako knocks three more times. The door opens.

"Noa! Hey! This must be your brother! Come in! Come in!" Hidoi, one of my friends, says, smiling out at us.

Jako leads us in and Hidoi closes the door behind us. "Konnichi wa, Hidoi, Moru, Fradt." I mumble, looking around at the group. "Guys, this is Seto, my bro. Seto, these are some of my friends."

"Tsuku is in the kitchen." Moru tells us. "Oi! Tsuku! Noa's here!" He shouts towards the kitchen.

A man with a mop of bright purple hair pokes his head in. "What did you do to your finger?" He asks.

"Konnichi wa to you, too." I reply drily.

"Well?" Tsuku always gets right to the point. It drives most of us nuts.

"Chichiue broke it." I grumble.

"Yaro." Tsuku growls. "And, let me guess, he left you to set it again."

I roll my eyes. "What did you expect? Him to be nice for once?"

"Good point." Tsuku disappears back into the kitchen.

"Shirt off. I want to see what all he did." Jako orders, placing my school bag on the bench next to the door. I do as he says. "Oh, yuck." Jako frowns. "That's sloppy."

I point at Seto, who is gaping. "He was trying to bang the door down. I had to do it fast."

Jako snickers and looks at Seto. "Seto, go sit. It's not nice to stare. Fradt, come here. Moru, go get the first aid kit and tell Tsuku to boil some water." Jako pulls out a stool as the other hurry to do as they're told. "Noa, sit and put your arms up."

I toss my shirt on top of my school bag and sit on the stool, arms up. Jako starts to, slowly, unwind the bandage. "There's no point in keeping it." I point out. "It was still bleeding this morning."

Jako frowns as he reaches the red part. "It's bleeding now, too." He looks up at me as Moru walks in. "Have you been dizzy today? I know you've never lost this much blood."

I blink at him. "No."

"He fell asleep during class at least twice." Seto calls over.

"No, I didn't." I give Seto a look.

"Yes, you did." Seto argues. "Yuugi was complaining about how sick you looked, too."

"You must have fainted." Fradt says. "And you are really pale, Noa. Is he attempting to put you in the hospital this time?"

The room around me spins. Jako grabs my shoulders. "Noa, look at me. Focus on me. Come on."

I blink and look at him. "Dizzy..." I whisper.

"It's okay. Fradt, can you hold him up for me?" Fradt's hands take the place of Jako's. "Noa, where's it the worst?"

I know he's trying to keep me focused. I've done this once before, almost fainted while Jako was attending to my wounds. "My back." I gasp. "He went really deep."

"Moru, go see what's taking Tsuku so long." I feel, rather than see, Moru walk off. "Okay. He cut really deep on your back. I see he got your chest too. Did he do anything else?" Jako asks, continuing to unwind the bandage.

~Concentrate!~ I shout at myself. "No. Just my chest and back. Two cuts on my chest. Two on my back besides the deep one." I recount calmly.

Jako and Fradt trade looks. "Will you let me kill him now?" Fradt inquires.

"Fradt..." Jako sighs. "How many times must I argue about this with you?"

I giggle. "That's a silly question!"

"He's demented." Tsuku grumbles, walking out to us, the bucket of water in his hands.

"Give him a break." Jako sighs.

Tsuku narrows his eyes at the bloody bandages. "That yaro's gonna kill him this way."

"We knew that." Moru points out, walking in with a lollipop. He sticks it in my mouth.

I smile. "Arigatou."

"What did you give him that for?!" Tsuku whines.

"Helps him concentrate." Moru points out.

"But, that was my last one!"

"You can buy another one."

"They sound like us." Seto calls from where he is still sitting, a bored look on his face. His eyes are worried, though. I can tell.

I snicker. "Tsuku, you get free lollipops everyday. You know Chichiue won't allow candy in the house. Stop whining."

"Wait, he won't?!" Seto cries, looking startled.

"I suppose he hasn't found out about that rule yet?" Jako mumbles.

"But, Mokuba-chan had a candy bar when he got home!" Seto tells us.

"I didn't notice that..." I frown.

"Mokuba-chan?" Jako gave me a quick questioning look before going back to work on the bandages.

"Seto's ototo. Chichiue adopted him, too." I explain.

"Keep an eye on him." Tsuku warns.

I roll my eyes. "What would Chichiue want Mokuba-chan for? He has Seto and me to play with."

"Still..." Fradt sighs behind me. "I wouldn't trust Gozaburo with anything."

"Especially not my life." Moru finishes.

"Anyone who trusts Chichiue with their life is retarded." I inform them.

"Might I point out that your life is entirely in his willing hands?" Moru tells me drily.

"I have no choice in this matter." I grumble.

"You didn't have to drag Mokuba-chan and me into this." Seto points out in annoyance.

"Now you complain!" I sigh. "Seriously, it's been nearly a year since he's done anything like this. I swear he's been taking it out on the servants."

"Only because the few reasons he has to hit you, you've managed to weasel your way out of." Jako points out.

"Yeah, well... ITAI!" I cry as he gives the bandage one last tug.

"My ear." Jako complains as the others laugh.

"Gomen..." I mumble, looking down at my scarred chest.

Seto appears next to me. "Nasty. He did all of these?"

"Heh... Not all of them..." I feel my face heat up as the others snicker.

"Noa is slightly accident prone." Tsuku explains.

"How so?" Seto frowns at me.

"They've let my play with knives a couple of times." I shrug, then grimace. "Itai..."

"I told you not to do that earlier." Jako mumbled. "You can put your arms down, I want to wash these out, first."

I nod and put my arms down with a sigh. Seto leans down and traces an old scar. I shiver. "Don't do that!" I cry, smacking his hand away.

"Be careful, his scars are ticklish." Moru snickers.

"Are not!!" I shout, kicking at him. He jumps out of the way.

"Moru, stop teasing. Noa, hold still." Jako orders.

Moru pouts. Tsuku grabs one of his arms and drags him from the room. I roll my eyes. "I was waiting for that."

Jako sighs. "Me too."

"Waiting for what?" Seto blinks at us, confused.

"Don't go into the kitchen." Fradt suggests. "And it's best you don't ask."

"Moru and Tsuku are gay." I say blandly. "That's all I'm saying."

Seto's eyes widen. "Oh..." He glances over at the kitchen, then looks back at us. "I see."

Jako smirks. "He took that better than I thought he would."

"I have a gay uncle." Seto shrugs. "He's a cool guy, but the courts wouldn't let us live with him, because he's gay."

"I'd like to see the courts choose between Gozaburo and your uncle." Fradt grumbles. "That would be a hearing worth going to."

I shake my head. "Chichiue would end up in jail. The kids would end up in a foster home or an orphanage. The uncle would be laughed at and kicked from the courtroom."

"I still don't see what's so wrong with preferring your own sex." Jako grumbles darkly. Seto gives him a questioning look. "I'm gay too, yes. Fradt is bi, but not openly. The other two that stay here are also bi, but they're together."

"It's a gay party." I grumble. It's one of my favorite sayings.

"Or so you've said." Fradt grumbles.

"Fradt, he's not going to stop saying it until he decides what he is. Stop complaining." Jako gives Fradt a look. Then he sighs up at me. "You know, I'm dying to take you to the hospital."

"No! Jako, you promised!" I cry.

"I didn't say I would. Calm down Noa." Jako sighs. "I'm sorry I said anything."

"Everytime you say that, he flips. I would have thought you'd learned a little better by now." Fradt says from behind me.

"I would appreciate an apology, though."

"Don't hold your breath." I say sharply.

"You have been dissed by a nine-year-old." Fradt snickered.

"It won't be the first time. Arms up." I put up my arms and he starts the bandaging. "By the way, I would prefer if you'd let us take you and Seto home."

"Dangerous." I comment.

"What if it's on the bikes?" Jako counters.

I smile happily. "Deal."

"You know he's dying for us to let him drive one." Fradt comments.

Jako sighs. "And I've said in the past..."

"I know, I know. When my feet can reach the pedal-thingies." I roll my eyes. "I wonder if you think I'm stupid."

"Just slightly demented." Fradt laughs.

"Arigatou." I say drily. Fradt and Seto laugh while Jako sighs.

"Eww!! Do you two mind not doing that on the counters!" A voice shouts from the kitchen.

"Yeah, get a room!" Another follows.

"Oh, fuck off you two!" Moru shouts back.

Fradt snickers. "Sho, Erito, come out here! Noa brought his bro!"

Two girls, one with pink hair, the other with orange, swoop in. "He's so cute!!" The one with orange hair, Sho, says.

"Kawaii!" Erito agrees.

Seto looks a little taken aback. I snicker. "Seto, meet Sho and Erito, the only two females you will ever see in here."

"What if Fradt finally settles for a girl?" Sho asks, looking up at Fradt.

"I will never bring her here! Even my cousin's obsessive-compulsive is safer than this mad house!!" Fradt complains.

"Wanna know what Moru and Tsuku are doing in the kitchen?" Sho snickers.

"NO!" Fradt, Jako, and I all shout. Seto shakes his head.

"Fine, then. Your loss." Sho shrugs.

"Uhm, Noa, I thought your otosan was over his insanity." Erito blinks.

"Huh?" Sho looks down at me. "That yaro! What did he do to you, baby?" She asks, kneeling before me.

"I really do hate it when you call me that, Sho." I grumble.

"Nonsense. Now, what did he do to you?" Sho says calmly.

"He sucked his dick and fucked him." Fradt says in annoyance. "What does it look like he did, you annoying female?!"

Sho glares up at Fradt. "No wonder that blonde turned you down."

"Would you stop bringing that up?!" Fradt shouted.

I look at Seto and we snicker. Jako is smiling and Erito is shaking her head in amusement. "Sho-chan, let him be. You know he's testy about that."

"Humph!" Sho turns away and goes to sit on one of the benches. Erito goes over to sit in her lap.

"Hopeless..." Fradt sighs.

"Done!" Jako stands and stretches. "Fradt, wanna help me take these two home?"

"Let's go." Fradt hands me my shirt. I put it on and the girls come over.

"Hey, Noa, don't let him do anything else to ya, k?" Erito says, smiling softly.

"Can't promise one way or the other, but I can try." I nod.

"Here, give me a hug, huh?" Erito holds out her arms and I gladly hug her. I like Erito. She's always been really nice to me, and is the calmer out of her and Sho.

Sho ruffles my hair as Jako grabs my bag. "Be careful, Noa." She glances over at Seto. "You too, Seto. I want to see both of you again." Then she smirks down at me. "Baby."

I give her a dirty look. "You hate me."

"I love you, Noa-chan! That's why I call you baby!!" Sho cries.

Jako snickers as he pulls me out the front door. Fradt and Seto have already left. "You don't mind, and you know it." He tells me.

"Gah..." I roll my eyes and we walk over to the bikes. Seto is already on one of them, behind Fradt. "Fun?" I ask, getting up behind Jako.

Seto gives me a thumbs-up. "I've only been on a motorcycle once!"

"Who's?" Jako inquires.

"My uncle's!"

"Why am I not surprised?" Jako mumbles to himself as the two bikes start up. "Here we go! Hold on!" I tighten my grip as he starts off.

"Yeah!" I shout. Seto echos me and we smile at one another.

A/N: *dies*

Noa: Motorcycles? Why do you have this thing for motorcycles?

KK: One of my step-mom's friends let us get a ride on his bike once. I got the longest one, since I was last, and I've loved them since! Mom says I can get one when I'm older!

Seto: Your mom really doesn't have a say when you're older.

Noa: What he said. By the way, whatever happened to that lollipop?

KK: You finished it?

Kam: I say he choked on it on the stupid bike.

KK: Kam-kun, be nice.

Anyway, I still need help with the title, and I think that's all!! Love ya'll!!
