Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Nightmare ❯ Work ( Chapter 14 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

(Me koi is still now back, so I am in a better mood. This should help this chappie, at least, out. Also, a BIG question for all:

PLEASE READ: I am considering making this a Seto/Noa/Mokuba. I would love to hear my readers' thoughts. I am open-minded on this subject, and your views will be much appreciated. I would, especially, like to learn how many readers I would lose if this pairing does come about. If this pairing becomes a yes, it will be in the future, as it is odd to think of a 5 or 6 yr old boy having sex with his two older brothers. I may be corrupt, but I'm not hopelessly sick. THANK YOU.

And, we're back to Noa-chan's POV.

De fic:)

-~^~-

I wake to a dull throb in the back of my head. I open my eyes and focus them on Seto. "Ohayo, Noa. How are you?" He asks, far too cheerful for what I recall awaits us once Gozaburo realizes we're up.

"My head hurts." I groan, forcing myself to sit. I glance over at the clock and my eyes widen. "Seto.... Why is it so late?" I gasp.

"Gozaburo woke me when he left for work. I decided to let you sleep." Seto shrugs. I catch the tint of a victory smile in his eyes.

"How did you manage it?" I whisper. Gozaburo had been so intent on continuing the `lesson' yesterday. I didn't think it was possible he would ever go to work.

"I kinda pointed out that he's been hurting you constantly and he could give you a break. I also said we'd keep our mouths shut." I groan. "Anyway, Mokuba-chan is at the Kame Game Shop. We can head over, if we'd like." Seto smiles softly.

I start nodding, then groan as my head throbs. "Ooh.... That hurts."

"Stay here. I'm gonna go get you some ice, okay?" Seto says, standing from the bed.

"Okay." I mumble. Forcing myself not to nod.

Seto steps from the room and I glance down at myself, checking over the damage. ~Okay, first thing, head hurts like hell. Second thing, feel like I've been drained of all my energy, probably from the rape.~ I swallow and take a deep breath. ~He's not here. Calm down, he's not here.~ I tell myself. ~Damage. Focus on the other stuff. What hurts most after head? Well, my back is sore, and my face. Being thrown into the wall and punched across the face.~ I gingerly finger my nose. ~Not broken. Good. Throat is raw, screaming, crying, coughing, and his choking. Okay. Uhm... Chin isn't bothering me. Good, it wasn't as deep as I'd feared. I can get away with it. Side and chest.~ I glance down at the two cuts. They aren't deep. I breath a sigh of relief.

"Hey, you look better." Seto says, coming back in. He sits down next to me and places the ice pack to the back of my head lightly. I let out a hiss, but lean back into the numbing cold.

I glance over at Seto. "How are you doing?" I whisper.

Seto smiles softly. "I'm fine. Just a few bruises. Nothing to worry about."

I sigh. "Good."

Seto chuckles. "Noa, you worry about me too much. I'm perfect. You're the one he really went after. And," He picks at the towel around my waist with a fond smile. "You slept in your towel."

I deem my head cold enough and lean against his chest. "I told you I would, silly." I sigh, placing my head on his shoulder gingerly.

Seto puts the ice pack down and draws me into a comforting hug. "Yes. Yes, you did." He starts rocking softly. "You can cry, Noa. You don't have to be strong around me. I won't tell." He whispers.

I bury my face in the crook of his neck and cry softly. I feel pain in my every movement. "He's getting worse." I whisper after I calm down some. "He was getting better, and now he's getting worse than ever."

"Hush... He can be worse all he wants. I'm stay right here. He's not here. He can't hurt you." Seto whispers calmly.

"But, later...." I start.

"Is later." He finishes for me. "Let's get you dressed. We can go over to the Game Shop and hang out with Mokuba-chan and Ojiisan. Maybe even earn some extra cash that we can blow on ice cream later. What do you think?"

I force myself to smile up at him. "Okay."

"Up." Seto helps me out of the bed. As I stand the towel falls to floor about my feet. Seto and my eyes meet and I see the soft blush appearing across his face, feeling my own blush at the same time. "Let's...uh...let's get you...uh....dressed..." Seto stumbles.

I ignore him and pull him into a soft kiss. After one still moment he draws me closer and kisses back. Even though we put apart, my arms still rest around his neck, his arms around my waist, softly tracing patterns on the small of my back. "Ai shiteru yo." I whisper, resting my head against his chest.

"As nice as this is, we really should be going." Seto sighs, pulling away slowly. I pout at him and he smiles. "We can play later, Noa. I called the Game Shop this morning, and Mokuba-chan has, apparently, been throwing a fit all morning. He's got himself convinced Gozaburo really hurt both of us and we'll never come get him. Ojiisan sounded slightly haggard."

I giggle. "He's your brother."

"Indeed." Seto rolls his eyes and holds up an outfit I don't wear anymore because it's slightly beat-up and not good for school. "Here. The color matches your hair. It also looks to be the most comfortable thing you own." Seto gives me a look.

"Gozaburo likes fresh, sharp clothing. If that means constantly buying new stuff, he will. I think this is the only thing I've ever saved from his `Garbage Everything in Sight' sprees." I say ironically. "I never wear it anymore."

"Well, you're wearing it today." Seto orders, hiding a smile. "It'll do you some good to look like a normal kid for once, rather than-"

I cut him off, taking the clothing. "Me. Rather than myself."

"That works, I guess." Seto shrugs. "Need help?"

-~^~-

"Konnichi wa, Ojiisan!" Seto smiles as we walk into the shop.

"Niisama! Niisan! You're okay!" Mokuba cries, barreling into Seto, who is closer.

Seto grabs his ototo by the shoulders and gives him a look. "I heard you were throwing a tantrum for Ojiisan this morning. Why?"

Mokuba puts on a pout. "Was worried."

"You don't need to worry about us, Mokuba-chan." I smile fondly and ruffle the other's wild mane of black hair. Mokuba pulls out of Seto's grasp and hugs me tightly, yet carefully. I can tell he's being gentle on purpose. Although, I have acquired a slight limp since last night. "Arigatou, for watching him." I tell Ojiisan quietly.

"It was no problem." Ojiisan smiles. "He was great to have over."

"Except for his tantrum." Seto growls next to me.

I laugh then. "Seto, you're hopeless!" I tell him. Mokuba laughs and Ojiisan smiles.

"He was fine." Ojiisan says. "Very helpful."

"Need any extra help?" Seto asks calmly. "I'm sure Noa and I can hang around for awhile and help you out with stuff."

"Hum. That might be nice. Come here, you can get me some stuff from the storeroom." He motions to us, pulling out a piece of paper. I pull out of Mokuba's grasp and follow Seto over. "There should be a large box of games down there, it's marked. I couldn't get it up the stairs, and Yuugi-chan was too busy with Mokuba-kun for me to bother him with it yesterday. It's not heavy, just big. If you two could bring it up here, that would be wonderful." Ojiisan explains to us. We nod. "And I'll make a list of other stuff I need from down there while you're doing that."

"Okay!" Seto takes my hand and leads me towards the storeroom door, where Ojiisan is pointing.

Behind me, I hear Ojiisan telling Mokuba to stay up there, and Mokuba whining. "Mokuba-chan, listen to Ojiisan!" I shout, then start coughing harshly.

Seto spins around, a concerned glint in his eyes. "Noa, are you okay?" He whispers. I shake my head, trying to make the fit stop. "Sit here on the steps. I'm getting you some water." Seto says smoothly, then runs back up the stairs.

I sit and put a hand over my mouth. ~Baka, baka, baka! You know better than to shout after you spent all yesterday screaming your lungs raw! Baka!~ I shout at myself. I pull my hand away as I feel something wet in it. It's red. I throw my hand back over my mouth, my mind numb. ~Blood...~

The coughing lessens as Seto comes back down the stairs, a cup in his hand. He sits next to me, putting an arm around my shoulders. "Hey, you need to drink this." He holds out the cup. I nod and take it with my free hand, then remove the bloody hand from my mouth and take a sip. The water tickles my throat, and I start coughing again. Seto takes the water before I can spill it and holds a cloth to my mouth. I cough into the cloth.

By the time this fit has stopped, I'm shaking. "Seto..." I whisper, leaning my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes.

I hear him set the cup down behind us. "Give me your hand, I want to wipe it off." He mumbles. I let him do so. "Here, do you think you can drink more water?"

"Try...." My voice is raspy, from all the coughing. This is the worst. He holds the cup to my lips and tips it back slightly. I drink some, and don't start coughing, so he lets me have a little more of the water.

We finish the cup this way and he sets it down behind us again. "You okay now?" I nod. "What set you off?"

"Shouting." I mumble.

Seto smiles. "Why am I not surprised. I'm going to go put the cup back. Why don't you go find that box?"

I nod and we stand. I go down while he goes back up. I glance around in the small circle of light from the overhead bulb. One of the boxes catches my eye and I walk over to it. `GAMES' is written across the top of the box in big letters. I smile. "Found it." I mumble to myself, then glance around the rest of the basement room.

The shadows make it spooky, and the sounds of bugs and rodents of some sort come from one corner. I see a glint of something's eyes and shiver. Above me are supporting beams for the floorboards above. The basement never had a ceiling put it, probably was seen as a waste of limber, time, and money, at the time. Probably would have been. The basement may look creepy, but, seeing as how it's being used as the storeroom, few would ever see it. It doesn't need to be nice. Would make a good haunted house, though.

"Hey." Seto smiles as he sees me. "Found it?" I nod, not trusting my voice to get loud enough for him to hear. "Good." He walks over to me and looks at it, then pulls on one side. It rises with little effort on his part. "I see what Ojiisan meant. It's too big for one person, but very light." He looks at me. "Do you want to lead, or follow?"

I frown. Leading means either going backwards, or carrying it with my hands behind my back. "I'll follow." I decide softly.

Seto nods. "Let's pick it up. Let me know if you need to rest." I nod and we pick up the box together.

We start up the stairs quietly. The box digs in to my arm and I shift slightly. "Okay?" Seto calls down to me.

"Yeah." I smile to myself. He sure does get worried easy. It's kinda cute.

We get the box down behind the counter, then look up at Ojiisan. He smirks. "So, I assume this helping out is to make up for Mokuba-kun spending the night?"

"Actually..." Seto starts.

Ojiisan chuckles. "I'll pay you, Seto-kun." He hands Seto a list while Seto gives him an annoyed look. "Get what you can from on this list. Mokuba-kun and I will start putting this stuff away. If there's something you can't get, or find, let me know and we'll see what we can do." Seto nods and we turn to go back downstairs.

~This is going to be a long day.~

-~^~-

"I'm home!" Yuugi calls as he steps into the shop. Seto and I are still in the storeroom, finding the last few things on the list. We'd been taking things up as we found them, and telling Ojiisan if we'd had a problem.

We find the last thing on the list as we hear Mokuba and Ojiisan greet the boy, and start up. I stop when I hear Ojiisan ask "And who's this?"

Seto pauses too, a few steps above me. He glances back down at me, frowning. "One of Noa's friends." Yuugi replies.

"Jako!" Mokuba calls happily.

I sigh and continue up. I knew I'd have to face him sometime. "Hey there, Mokuba-kun. How have you been?" Jako asks.

"Oi, Jako." I nod as Seto and I reach the store.

"Oi, Noa, Seto." He frowns at me. "You weren't at school. Yuugi-kun said he might know where you were, so I met him after school."

I set down what I was carrying. "Ojiisan, that's the last thing. Mind if Jako and Seto and I go into the house?"

"There's lemonade in the fridge. Mokuba-kun, you're still helping me." Ojiisan says as Seto and I lead Jako back into the house. "Yuugi-chan, you've just volunteered to help set this stuff up."

"But, Ojiisan!" Yuugi starts.

"No buts! You can do your homework later!" Ojiisan replies.

"Fine. I'll help." Yuugi gives in. Seto and I chuckle. When Ojiisan tells you to do something, you do it.

When we reach the kitchen, Seto goes to hunt for cups while Jako and I look at each other. "You're limping." Jako observes.

"I suppose I am." I shrug dully.

"Noa, what happened? The last time I saw you limping, he'd cut a long cut down the inside of your right leg." Jako growls, giving me a look.

"He did that?" Seto inquires, walking over to the fridge with three cups.

"Un. It was a while ago." I shrug.

"It was bloody." Jako replies. "Noa, I'm worried about you."

"I'm fine." I take the cup Seto hands me.

"Noa, is this about my threat to take you to the hospital?" Jako asks suddenly.

"How can I trust you when you're threatening to break your promise?" I whisper to the cup. "I trusted you with all of my secrets, and you suddenly turn around and break the only promise I'd ever had you make to me. Then you expect me to still trust you?" I take a sip of the lemonade, not even tasting it.

Jako sighs. "Will it make you feel any better if I remake that promise?" I say nothing. "Noa, I said that before I thought. I was angry, and it was the only weapon I could think of right then that I could use against your father. You know I'd never break a promise to you. I didn't think this would hurt you so much." He steps over to me and kneels before me, so he's on my level.(A/N: I know what ya'll are thinking, ya pervs.) "Can you please trust me?"

Seto takes my cup as I start shaking. "Don't have another coughing fit." Seto warns softly. I nod, then let Jako hug me. "I might warn that you watch how much of this Gozaburo finds out Jako knows, depending on what you tell him, Noa."

"Why might you want to watch it?" Jako inquires.

"It's my head on the line this time, that's why." Seto replies calmly. "And I promised we'd be good."

"Seto! You didn't tell me that!" I turn to give him a look.

"If you're planning on protecting me this time, I'd suggest you watch what Gozaburo finds out about." He replies, returning the look.

"Okay, what did the yaro do that's so bad?" Jako asks, voice dry. "Other than beat the shit out of you." He touches the back of my head.

I flinch. "He rammed my head into the wall." I explain, answering his unasked question. This is his way of checking the damage.

"That was after he threw you into the desk." Seto points out.

"I'd forgotten about that." I make a face at my koi. "And threw me into the wall in the entrance hall twice."

"I'd forgotten about that." Seto says, irony dripping from his voice.

"Well, yeah, he was scaring the shit outta you, and beating you up."

"I hardly see how a slap across the face and a knee in my crotch is being beat up."

I smile. "You're right. I've saved you from worse."

"Ya really didn't need ta get the knife in the side though." Seto says in an almost annoyed voice.

"You wanted it instead?"

"I was keeping him busy."

"Oh?" I roll my eyes at him. "First you were trying to get him to let me down, then you were trying to keep him busy? Isn't that, err, stupid?"

"I have the oddest feeling you just insulted me again." Seto makes a face at me and I laugh.

"Nice as it is to hear you laugh, you haven't answered my question." Jako says behind me, standing. "And it sounds like a lot of this happened in the entrance hall, which is odd."

"He was in a mood." I explain.

"Oh. No wonder." Jako folds his arms over his chest. "How did you get up to his office? You mentioned getting thrown into the desk."

"I....err....opened my mouth and said a few really stupid things?" I tried.

"It looked to me like he was kissing you." Seto says darkly.

Jako's eyes widen. "That can be classified as incest."

"He thinks we're cute." I roll my eyes. "You think I liked him kissing me?" I give Seto an annoyed look. He grins.

"I'm waiting." Jako says.

"Fine. He raped me." I say dully, finally losing sight of the entertainment behind the whole ordeal. "He raped me in New York, and he raped me yesterday."

Jako's eyes widen in horror. "By the gods. I never thought he'd stoop that low." He whispers, then draws me into a hug.

I let him, because I trust him. When he lets go, I give him a piercing look. "No telling, not even the others. They'd storm Kaiba Corp and get thrown into jail for life."

Jako snorts. "I wouldn't mind storming Kaiba Corp, but I've made a promise, and I do believe Seto's life is on the line this time." He gets his lemonade, then looks at us again, sipping at it. "Why weren't you at school?"

"At first, Gozaburo was going to stay home with us, but I got him to agree to go to work, which is why my head's on the line. I decided to let Noa sleep in when Gozaburo left, figured he could use it." Seto hugs me lightly around my shoulders. "And he looked so kawaii in his little towel."

I feel my face heat up. "Seto, onegai...."

Jako laughs. "I've heard more than enough. Come on, let's go help the others."

I look at my lemonade, which I've retrieved from the counter-top. "I have a very odd idea."

"Uh-oh." Seto gives me an odd look and Jako stops in the doorway, looking at me.

"I wanna call Gozaburo, see if we can invite a couple friends over today." I smile thinly.

"That might keep him cooled down." Jako nods.

"Let's go ask if we can use the phone!" Seto says, excitedly.

I laugh and let him pull me back out to the shop. "Ojiisan, can I use the phone?" I ask as we all get back into the shop.

"Sure. Use the one in the house, though. Someone might call the shop." Ojiisan nods.

Mokuba hops over. "Lemonade! I want some!"

Seto sighs and hands over his cup. "Here."

"Arigatou!" Mokuba takes a big swallow, then hugs Seto.

"Go back to work." Seto swats Mokuba on the butt lightly, sending him back to work. Then he and Jako follow me back into the house.

I pick up the phone and dial the number to Kaiba Corp. Gozaburo's secretary picks up. "May I help you?" The woman asks politely.

"It's Kaiba Noa." I respond calmly.

"One second, Noa-sama." She switches me to Gozaburo's office.

"What?" Gozaburo growls.

"You sound crabby." I grumble.

"Where are you? Not at the house, I can tell." His voice is sharp.

"Yuugi-kun's house. Can we have some friends over?" I sweeten my voice slightly.

"Who?"

"Just, ya know, some friends...." I shrug.

"Names, Noa." He growls.

"Yuugi-kun. Jako..." I trail off, looking at Jako. "I think that's all."

"Jako is one of your delinquent friends?" Gozaburo inquires.

"Don't call him that."

"I don't want any of them in the house."

"Mansion."

"Noa, you're trying my patience."

"Is that what you call yesterday?"

He lets out a low growl. "I call yesterday whatever I feel like calling it. I should have stayed home today, I see."

"Yes. Of course. Stay home, make it worse. As you wish. Tell you what, let's both stay home tomorrow and have a nice long- Seto!" Seto grabs the phone from my hands and gives me a dark look while Jako forces me away from the phone.

"Nice to talk to you again too." Seto growls into the phone. "An attitude adjustment? Nah. I'm fine. Don't make me tell Jako what you're threatening." Pause. "Yes, he's at the shop. He's helping Ojiisan stock stuff, we all are." Pause. "Why not? Afraid he'll stop you from beating us up? I would figure that any sane person would see that any friend over would be reason enough to act like one would in a public place, unless you want my brother in on your fun?" Seto smirks. "Horny maniac was right."

I can help but laugh as Seto holds the phone from his ear. We can all hear Gozaburo shouting. Jako gives us questioning looks as both Seto and I keep laughing. I take the phone after calming down. "You should have seen the look on your face!" I tell him.

"You're pushing it." His voice is deadly.

"Humph. Can we have our friends over, or should I make Mokuba-chan all sad cause Jako and Yuugi-kun can't come over cause you're being....err...." I shut up before I call him something I'll regret later.

"Good choice. Fine, they can come over."

"If Ojiisan okays it, can Yuugi-kun spend the night?" I add, hopeful.

"No."

"Why not?"

"I could just not allow either of them over."

"Can they at least stay for dinner?" I beg in my cutest voice possible.

"Fine! If you're not home when I get there, no one is staying over! Now, I have work to do!" Then he hangs up.

I hang up the phone and smirk at the other two. "That gets you both dinner."

"Alright, we'll get food tonight!" Seto cheers. Jako gives us odd looks as Seto and I trade a high five.

"I'm not asking." Jako shakes his head, starting back out to the shop.

"Good choice." I tell him as Seto and I hurry past him.

"Hey, Yuugi, what do you think to actually coming over today?" Seto asks. "Gozaburo okayed it and everything. You can even stay for dinner!"

"Added bonus. Jako's coming too." I say.

Yuugi smiles widely. "Ojiisan, can I go?" He asks his grandfather.

"I guess..." Ojiisan looks at us.

"I'll make sure he gets home okay." Jako says behind me. "It'll basically be staying for dinner, then heading back home for both of us."

"I'll see if we can have the limo drive you both home." I say softly.

"Can we take the limo to the mansion?" Mokuba throws in.

"Sure. I just have to call." I nod.

"Call!" Mokuba bounces. "Call and we can go!"

I smile. "Ojiisan, mind if I borrow your phone one more time?"

Ojiisan chuckles. "Go right on ahead." I head back to use the phone.

~~~
A/N: Okay, this chapter took a while to write. I took a break some time in the middle, and didn't get back to it for a few weeks. I've had other things on my mind.
Pugio: Like other fics?
Seto: She's allowed to work on other stuff every once in a while.
KK: You realize, I'm trying to juggle three big fic projects here? With my mind, I get other random ideas at random times. Not to mention my love of music. Within this fics life-span, I've written three songfics, and probably write more.
Noa: At least you haven't been killing random characters again.
Kam: Nope, just maiming them.
KK: YOU'VE been maiming them. I'm sitting here, typing, crying my eyes out, and you three are laughing in your little corner, plotting for the next fic.
Seiji: She seems to be over her killing stage. Let's move on. I believe a good idea was made from the Seto/Mokuba group?
KK: *sighes* Sorta. I kinda knew about it. Very odd. I assume I should try it, but ppl will be flaming me up the walls.
Seto: I'm afraid.
Noa: Will I be in this one?
KK: The pairing is all I'm saying: Noa/Mokuba/Seto.
Seto: Why am I uke?
Noa: *gapes* That...might be....fun.....
KK: As much fun as Bothers Him the Most!
Kam: A true masterpiece.
KK: *bashes* Shut up, you.
Seto: *pales* Oh, I get it now..... I'm going to hate that fic.
KK: I will too....
Pugio: You three just don't know how to have fun!
Seiji: They've brainwashed her. Them and that girlfriend of hers....
KK: Seiji-baka, leave koi outta this. -_-*
Kam: We'll go now. Say good night, everyone.
KK: *pouts* My candle burned out....
