don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! The only things I own are a handful of floppy disks and a POS seven-year-old- compy I'm typing this fic on! Those, and an enormous library of assorted anime information stored in my warped little mind. ^.^

Passion and Blood
Prologue

A dark figure walked through the dimly lighted streets, for the most part ignoring the prostitutes that lined the sidewalks, trying to find customers despite the recent danger. However, the figure stopped when one of the hookers approached him. She was very pretty, with waist-length black hair and stunning blue eyes. "Hey, there, sugar. Wanna play?" the hooker asked seductively.
The figure remained silent, looking at the girl, who was probably only about 25. "You shouldn't be out here. This isn't the kind of life for someone so pretty as you. Go home, wash your best clothes," as he was talking, the figure pulled out several hundred dollars and put the bills in the girl's hands, "and use this money to go and start working on your dreams..."
After having said that, the figure walked away, his thoughts revolving around his past. 'She looked so much like Sekkena... She deserves better than the life of a common whore....' After a while, the figure stopped next to a different hooker, this time looking interested. "Hmmm....."
"What's up? See something you like?" the hooker asked, unaware of the danger she faced and thinking that the young man looking her over was getting in over his head.
"As a matter of fact, yes... Would you like to come to my place? It's very comfortable, and there you can get what you truly earn..."
The hooker seemed unaware of the double meaning of what the man said, and went along with him. As the two walked underneath a street lamp, the figure was revealed as a young man with stunning crimson red eyes, black hair with blonde highlights tied up in a ponytail, and very pale skin. He led his escort to an alleyway. "You said we were going to your home..." the hooker said, frightened for perhaps the first time that evening.
"I lied..." the young man said, lightly kissing the girl's neck, "I like right here as a spot to make out..." When he pulled away, the girl seemed lifeless, and hung limp in his arms. He took a pocketknife, sharpened more than one should be, into his left hand and cut the hooker's throat starting at his right side. The one thing that would puzzle police later on was the lack of blood...

Chapter 1

Yami sat down inside one of the few nightclubs in Domino City, Japan. It was Saturday night, and time for a school dance that was being held at that particular nightclub. Unfortunately, Yami didn't know this, and was disgusted at all the high school students showing their affection for each other so openly in public. He did, however, like the fact that instead of the glaring bright yellow lights that were normally used in this nightclub were replaced by dimmer, red lights. Red light was much easier on his eyes.
He sat at the bar, and noticed that all high school students under the age of 18 had a stamp marking them as too young to drink. "Good," he muttered to himself before brushing away the blonde streak of hair that refused to stay in the ponytail he wore. He leaned back, wondering how it was possible for people to be so open about their feelings in public. He had absolutely nothing against the music (with the exception that the volume of it hurt his sensitive ears), nor with the dancing that went on (Yami thought it was good to show the reality of the passion and desire of sex in something that he believed should be used in an erotic manner). And yet, the fact that people could make out in public places both disgusted and annoyed him.
When the door opened, letting in dim sunlight, Yami looked away until the door once again closed. He looked at the small group who had just walked in. Nothing was special at all about them, until he looked at the smallest member of the group. The boy, for that's all he was, had spiky black hair with blonde highlights, and reddish tints at the tips of his hair. What caught Yami's attention most, however, was his amethyst colored eyes. Yami felt as if he could lose himself forever in those windows to the soul, compeletely open for anyone to look into.
Yami felt that the boy, who looked so similar to himself, was lucky to have such innocence. The world today was corrupted with so many scenes of violence and sex, that even a young child was exposed early on to the horrors of the real world, and almost never had any innocence. Yami closed his eyes, and searched through the boy's mind. Searching a person's mind did not mean knowing their exact thoughts and memories, but rather, gaining a vague impression about the person's character.
There were a few things that Yami learned right off. The boy's name was Mutou Yugi. He was a bisexual virgin... (Yami couldn't help but learn that, it was right at the front of Yugi's mind!) However, the boy was not so innocent as he seemed. Yami's mind was filled with the knowledge Yugi had gained. There was something special about Yugi. He was able to search his mind much better than any normal human. "Perhaps," Yami muttered to himself, "this is who I have been looking for..."
Yami watched Yugi and his friends to see where they sat down at. He got up and requested a song, one of his favorites in this era. The tone of the song would allow him to learn more about Yugi, and look into his soul. Yami walked over to where Yugi and his friends sat, being sure to put the stray lock of blonde hair behind his ear before he met with them. "Hello..." Yami said, looking at Yugi before sitting down.

*****

Yugi was enraptured by the young man's stunning blood-red eyes. He felt small and weak compared to this stranger, and also oddly attracted to him. True, the guy was only a few inches taller than him, but to Yugi, that didn't make a difference. It was the young man's confidence and demeanor that made Yugi feel small and insignificant. And yet... Yugi sensed that although the guy had a youthful appearance, he was much older than he looked.
"My name is Yami..." the 'young' man said, looking at Yugi pointedly.
"Ano... I'm Mutou Yugi..." Yugi mumbled.
"Yugi... Tell me, Yugi, would you like to dance?" Yami asked.
Yugi looked up. Honda, Jou, and Anzu; his friends, looked disapproving. And yet, how could he ever have the independence he wanted if he always listened to his friends instead of doing what he wanted? "Sure. But, could we wait for a slower song?" Yugi replied, slightly nervous.
"Of course. There should be a slow song starting up soon... I heard someone request one." A lie. Yami hated to lie, but he couldn't just tell Yugi that he had requested a slow song just for this purpose.
Yami and Yugi started to talk, finding out what they had in common. When Yami heard Yugi mention that he was interested in going to Egypt someday, he perked up. "Why?" Yami asked.
"It's just that.... my grandfather is an archeologist, and I just thought it would be awesome to go and visit this tomb he told me about... It's supposedly for a Pharaoh that never died..." Yugi said, smiling.
Yami looked lost in thought. "Why? Why did Sekkena insist on building that tomb?" Yami whispered too quietly for anyone to hear.

~~~~~
"Sekkena! Why? Why do you want to do this? I'm not dead!"
"Yami, it's for your own good... If the people find out that you won't die, it will destroy the way they think! Instead of seeing you as the son of a god, they will see you as a god. You know that's not true. A god does not have weaknesses. You do! The sun, Yami! You know that you're blind during the day, but the people won't understand that..."
Yami turned to face his wife. "Sekkena, that still is no reason to build this tomb..."
"But Yami, if the people believe that you are dead, they will never have to know about what has happened to you... You're free of the pressures of being a Pharaoh, Yami! Let me take over, you've taught me what to do, and I feel that I can lead Egypt into..."
"Sekkena, listen to me! If you believe that you are ready to lead Egypt into anything but disaster, then you truly are not ready. If you thought that you would not be able to lead, then I would feel that you were. Overconfidence is a Pharaoh's downfall. You know how to rule, but you don't know how to play the Shadow Games. That would easily be your downfall."
Yami looked at his wife, tears welling in his crimson eyes, his spiky hair swaying slightly as he embraced her. "I will allow you to advise whomever I choose to rule in my stead. And I will be sure to choose someone who will listen well. But I will not force you to learn the Shadow Games. You have been too good a friend to me. I couldn't bear it if you got hurt in the Games..."
~~~~~

Yami heard the music to his song start. He led Yugi to the dance floor, taking off the neck belt the boy was wearing. He whispered the Latin along with the song.

Domine o venite o[disces m]eo deo

Domine o venite oo venite o)[disces m]eo deo[disces m]eo deo)
o venite o[disces m]eo deo
ar Neamh, Dia linn)

Domine o venite o (Domine o venite o)ar Neamh, Dia loim)[disces m]eo deo (Sacramentum [disces m]eo deo)

Running his hands just inches above Yugi's body, he felt everything the smaller boy had ever felt--all the pain and happiness, as well as all of his thoughts.

Domine o venite o (Domine o venite o)ar Neamh, Dia linn)
Sacramentum [disces m]eo deo (Sacramentum [disces m]eo deo)ar Neamh, Dia loim)

(Pain, loneliness, happiness...) was running through Yami's head...

Domine o venite o[disces m]eo deo
o venite o[disces m]eo deo

(He's cute.... Oh my god, he's looking at me!.... Should I dance?... Fuck the others! I'm gonna dance with him! ) Yugi's thoughts from the previous half hour ran through Yami's mind as he held the smaller boy close. Smiling to himself, he started moving in circles with Yugi still in his arms.

(Sacramentum...)
o venite o[disces m]eo deo
o venite o[disces m]eo deo
[disces m]eo deo
o venite o...

As the song started to slow down, Yugi realized he was floating in the air. He looked up at Yami, his eyes widened slightly. Yami smiled slightly, which momentarily scared Yugi for some reason. "This is only the middle of the song. You want to stop?" he asked, and Yugi realized that they were on the ground.
Shaking his head slightly, Yugi went to sit down. How could he have thought they were floating? It was completely irrational....

*****

It wasn't much later on in the night, and Yugi had gone home. He had to admit that the song he and Yami danced to, Pax Deorum , was a great song. But he felt exhausted afterwards, not to mention aroused. Yami was a very sensual dancer, and Yugi wondered where he had learned how to dance. Jou had taken him home, and now Yugi prepared to take an ice-cold shower to calm himself down.

*****

"Why can't I get him out of my head?!" Yugi said to himself, shortly before midnight. That was when he heard a tapping at his window. He looked up and saw the very same person of his desires outside his window. "What the hell are you doing? It's gotta be freezing out there! Get in here before you get sick..." Yugi said, poking his head out the window. It was only after Yami had come in did he remember that his room was on the second floor of the house.
Yami embraced Yugi warmly, loving the way the younger boy fit so perfectly into his arms. He softly kissed Yugi's neck, allowing his lips to desensitize the skin there before he bit into Yugi's fragile neck with sharp, tiny, cruel fangs. Yami pulled away before he got too obsessed with the taste of Yugi's blood. Yami then set the smaller boy back on his bed before leaving. "I'll be back, Yugi. I'll keep an eye on you, though. I'll protect you at all costs..." With those whispered words, Yami left, fleeing into the welcoming darkness...

Madame Ruby: Well, just a couple of things... For starters, call me MR! ^^ also, I should say that I didn't how much better the remake of Passion and Blood would be until I had written the first chapter... If this is any indication of what's to come in the later chapters, then I'd say the new P&B is going to be much better than the original... Well, please read! And reviews are always nice, too! BTW, no flames ! I don't like them! if you don't like a story, don't read it ! it's that simple! Constructive criticism is always welcome, though! ^^
