It was Christmas Eve that night and an 8 year old little Yugi sat there in the couch. He lives in an apartment with his mom. The apartment wasn't that bad if you keep it clean that is.

 

He was waiting for his mom to come out of her bedroom. It's been 4 hours since Yugi's mom been there. Yugi tried to knock again but no sound coming.

“Mommy, I'm hungry….mommy?”

Yugi sighed as he went to go find something to eat. He found a jar of chocolate chip cookies.

“This will have to do” said Yugi as he eats his cookies with his teddy bear, “Mr. Cubby”.

“Mr. Cubby, is mommy mad?” Yugi asked as Cubby. Cubby just stared at Yugi with his big huge eyes.

“I haven't done anything bad, did I? I made my bed, I clean the bathroom when I made a mess, and I even help mom wash the dishes this morning…what's going, Mr. Cubby?” Yugi asked again but Mr. Cubby can only stare.

 

12:00 A.M. It was now Christmas. And yet Yugi's mom hasn't come out.

Yugi's tears were now strolling down as he still waited for his mom to come out. Yugi started to sing a lullaby that his father sang to him before he died in a car accident 5 years ago on that Christmas day…

 

“When you're feeling down…

You'll find a happy town…

Across the street in a road…

Where a broken heart has glowed…

In this place, you'll have a happy smile…

But you have to walk a mile…”

 

Then Yugi heard a glass broke in the bathroom and thudding noise started. Yugi was getting scared so he stopped singing but he can still hear the song played from his father's voice as he cautiously approach to the bedroom door.

 

“If you had the toughest day

Hold on, everything will be okay

Keep your chin up, hope for a star

Dream of the happy town that's not too far”

 

Yugi was in front of the door and touched on the handle.

 

“Be with a friend

Then your nightmares will soon end

Don't let fear take you

Do what you want to do”

 

Yugi turn the knob and it wasn't lock. Slowly he opened the door while gripping Mr. Cubby really hard. When he can see the bed room. Little Yugi let out a scream which everyone in the Apartment building heard. Yugi dropped Mr. Cubby on the ground.

 

“But for now, put down that frown

And you'll find a happy town…..”

Seto: Okay that's sad…

 

Yami/Bakura: *tries not to cry*

 

Tea/Mai/Serenity: *already crying*

 

Joey/Yugi/Tristan/Ryou: *has tears strolling down*

 

Seto: Oh please, it's just a story…it's not real

 

Me: We know but *sniff* It's just too sad…

 

Seto: This is not the end, is it?

 

Me: No, get back to the story!

Little Yugi was in a car holding Mr. Cubby in his arms with a man in the driver seat who's a social worker. Yugi look outside and saw his mom in a stretcher. She wasn't moving at all and her body was all covered with wounds. “Excuse me sir, where's mommy going?” Yugi asked the man next to him. “Well…err...she's going somewhere and I'm taking you to your aunt's home. She said she'll take care of you” the man said.

 

“But I want be with mommy, can I go with mommy?” Yugi asked with a sad pleading look that made the social worker frown. “…pitiful little angel…” said the social worker as he drove to the little boy's new home.

 

A week later, Yugi has been living with Aunt Josephine peacefully but then that night Yugi needed to ask. “When is mommy coming back?”

Josephine just looks at him with a sad expression. She felt sorry for the little one so she had to tell him the truth.

“Yugi…your mother's gone”

“Gone? Gone where?” Yugi was now feeling something gripping his stomach.

“She has gone to heaven now Yugi and she's never coming back” said Josephine.

“Can I go to her please?” Yugi ask but Josephine shook her head as tears were forming from the 2 of them.

“Yugi, listen very carefully…she's not here anymore, she's in heaven…she can never come back…and you can't go with her or you'll to suffer the same thing she did” said Josephine as Yugi started to cry.

At 9:30 P.M., Yugi was fast asleep but tears were still strolling down. Josephine look at him and whispered, “…pitiful little angel…”

At midnight, Yugi woke up with a nightmare and starts to sing the lullaby over and over again until he falls asleep again.

“Happy town…” whispered Yugi as he have fallen to slumber.

Seto/Yami/Bakura: *wipes off a tear quickly before any one noticed*

 

Joey/Tristan/Yugi/Ryou: *streaming down lots of tears*

 

Me: *sniff* please review…and tell me all of it! And this time…no flames… *starts crying again*
