"Yugi Muto, we hereby find you guilty for the murder of Mazaki, Anzu and Kaiba, Seto." The voice of the jury member rang out through the courtroom.

The petite boy's eyes widened and two officers sauntered over, imprisoning his hands in silver cuffs to restrain him from moving. "I didn't do anything! I'm innocent! I'm innocent, I swear it!" The boy turned to the man standing next to him who wore a grave and disapproving expression.

"Yami! Yami please believe me! I didn't do it! I didn't kill Kaiba! I loved Anzu-chan like a sister!" the boy screamed.

Yami shot a glare at the boy, "I trusted you Yugi. I thought you cared about me. You're nothing more than a deceiving murderer!"

"Murderer! Murderer!" The crowd chanted.

Tears streamed down the little one's face, "Yami no! I didn't do it! Yami please don't have them take me away! Please I love you! I wouldn't do anything to hurt you!"

"Murderer! Murderer!" The jeering grew louder.

The judge turned to the guards, "get him out of here, now!"

"NO! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!"

"He did it. He killed our baby daughter!" The voice of Mrs. Mazaki wailed as she cried into her husband's chest.

"Murderer! Murderer!"

Yami looked one last time at the puzzle holder, "how could you, Yugi? How could you do this to me?"

"Yami I didn't do it!"

The judge ordered silence for the room, "Take him away guards! Have him imprisoned for life in the memory of Anzu and Seto!"

The crowd cheered, it's chanting growing so loud it was all that was heard over the entire bustle of the small room. It rang is Yugi's ears, the constant reiterating of the word `murderer' rotating in his mind. Repentance weighed his heart down even more as tears of grief streamed down frown his eyes.

"Lock him up for good! Make sure he can't get to our children!" Mrs. Mazaki hollered through her crying.

The large oak doors were opened and Yugi was lead out by the guards only to be stopped by a robed someone.

The robe was removed. A man stood in the there with dirty blonde hair spiked up to defy the laws of gravity, his pupil-less eyes narrowing sinisterly as he smirked. He pointed at Yugi with a golden rod, its seal of Horus's Eye glinting dangerously in the setting sun.

"Confession is over for you Yugi! You should have never challenged the most dangerous game!" The man laughed menacingly as he was dragged away into the prison. "My wrath isn't fully unleashed Pharaoh! The worst is yet to come!" The man continued laughing loudly and threateningly as the Eye of Horus glowed brighter on his rod, giving him an ethereal and malevolent glow.

"NO!" Yugi screamed as he was dragged out of view.

Yugi flew up in bed, looking around the small cell. There was a groan from the bunk above him and his Yami peeked his head down over the rail. "Aibou?" he asked sleepily.

Yugi looked down the narrow hallway of the jail room. An officer had thrown them in there saying that until further investigation was made, this was their new home. //That Baka lie detector test...if it hadn't found my heart beat faster when I answered the question it wouldn't have found me guilty! And the same for Yami...We didn't do anything! I was nervous being hooked up to all those wires, that's all. Oh well. They said it was just for these two days.// (Shadow: yeshiv@*@k@*m@liklover, I took your idea about the lie detector test ^^ Specter: Yeah so thankies!!)

Yugi jumped up onto the top bunk, hugging his dark self tightly and sobbing into his shirt, "Yami! Yami it was horrible! They thought I was guilty! They thought I killed Anzu-chan and Seto-kun! They-they put me in jail for life! And then this man came and- and he told me that my c-confession time was up. An-and he, he laughed saying something about the Pharaoh paying and his wrath was not yet unleashed." Yugi gripped the leather shirt and cried harder, "You didn't believe me either, Yami-chan! You called me a murderer! Everyone started yelling and chanting murderer at me! It was awful!"

"Shh, shh little one...It'll be alright. It was just a dream."

"Yami it felt so real!" Yugi held up his hands where markings of over-tightened restrains were visible, the skin raw and red. "I-I even have markings of the handcuffs."

Yami stared incredulously at his Hikari's hands. He grasped them in his own, "Hikari...I...I don't know what to say." He shook his head, "you must've slept on them funny."

"Yami these aren't sleep marks! They're real, and they hurt! Yami it really looks like manacles were on them! Yami I'm scared! What if it wasn't a dream?"

"Yugi settle down. We'll figure this out. We'll figure this out..."

A robed figure smirked as he walked down the corridor, stopping at a cell to look inside at the two spiky-haired occupants. The smaller one had fallen asleep in the larger's embrace. He smirked. Everything was working out perfectly. He noticed the ring shackle marks around the smaller one's hands and his grin intensified.

"Soon Pharaoh...you will know what it was like for me. You will know what it is like to live through hell."

He laughed again and continued walking down the hall.

Yugi: yeah!!
