Yugi Muto was depressed. Why was he depressed? Simple. He was being ignored not only by his `friends' but even by his Yami! Actually, the reason his friends ignored him was because of his Yami - so that would make Yami the direct cause of his depression wouldn't it? Yeah I guess it would.

Being the kind hearted person that he was, Yugi could not find himself to be angry at his other half. You would think that if someone stole your friends and life away, you would loathe that person; but not Yugi. Yugi was different. Yugi believed that if his friends were truly happier with Yami instead of him, then he shouldn't be interfering. He also thought that if Yami was happier without him, then so be it. The last thing they needed was for him to tag along.

As for Yugi himself, he spent his days alone. At school he would always sit far away from everyone else and when he got home he would just lock himself in his bedroom. Yugi had blocked himself from everyone…including his grandpa who was to bust worrying about Yami all the time to care anyways. He had even gone as far as to shut his mind link with his yami. It wasn't like the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle noticed anyways; he was far too busy with his `fan club' to see that his Hikari was so troubled.

And then Seto came along. Ah yes, Seto Kaiba, the infamous billionaire and owner of Kaiba Corporation. Everyone knows him…everyone loves him…even Yami loved him and Kaiba knew it too. For you see, Kaiba was in love with Yami as well. So when two people love each other they should go out right? Right!]

So this made little Yugi even more left out. Thanks to Seto, he never saw his Yami anymore. But he was still a little happy for both of them that they had found love. He was also very sad deep inside though. For you see, Yugi loved Yami with all of his soul, with all of his heart, and with all of his being. Seeing yami with someone else shattered his already broken heart, letting the darkness engulf his spirit . . . his soul. . .himself.

And nobody had even ever taken the slightest hint to what was happening. No even he, himself realized how dark his spirit was becoming. As long as he acted innocent and cute on the outside. . . nobody would ever know what he was. Nobody would ever know what he was plotting. . . .

Who was the Yami now?
