Well, this is the last chapter to “Regret” I hope you guys enjoy this short sweet chapter that brings this story to it's end, ENJOY!

 

Mokuba looked outside the window as they drove toward Ryou's house.

“Where are we going?” He asked softly from his position in the back seat.

Ryou turned around in his seat to face Mokuba happy at least he was saying something. “To my house, you might spend a lot of time at Marik's with me but you'll actually be living with at my home, we'll be there soon.” Ryou said smiling at the youth.

Mokuba timidly smiled back at Ryou, he wasn't a baby, but still losing his brother was a big shock. Ryou was gentle and patient with him so he felt very safe with him. Also he knew he could talk to Ryou if he had a problem so it made everything a lot easier on him.

“We're also stopping by the mall, we should get you settled into the spare room with what you need.” Marik said

“We are?” Ryou asked, “I though we were having his things from Seto's moved to my place.” Ryou so

“No, his bedroom furniture was a bit big to all fit into the spare room of your house, so when they called I told them to keep it there. I'll let him pick what he wants, you're okay with that Mokuba?” Marik said looking at him through the rear-view mirror.

“Yeah, most houses aren't as big as ours…I understand.” Mokuba said.

“Well, Marik said you can pick out what furniture you want, so besides your clothes what else do you need?” Ryou asked “We could stop by and pick them up if your okay with that…I could go for you if you want.” Ryou said softly as he gently broached the subject.

“Um…there are some things I need to get form home…I'll get them myself though, I think I can do that.” Mokuba said

“You want me to come with you?” Ryou asked

Mokuba looked at Ryou's face for a moment before a timid nod yes. “Yeah…if you wouldn't mind.” Mokuba said

“That's what I'm here for Mokuba, don't be afraid to ask for me, anytime you need me I'll be more than happy to help.” Ryou turned back around as he smiled at Marik who smiled back taking Ryou's hand in his own. Ryou was actually handling his role rather well, better than Ryou had previously thought, granted Mokuba was very accepting of Ryou but Ryou had also grown up in the past few months, he had become more mature and more sure of himself…he had become stronger thanks in large part to Marik. Marik helped him grow, Marik helped him be strong.

 

"But don't you see? I can make you strong!" Marik told Ryou urgently. "I can help you never to be hurt again. I can teach how to get through your life, to be satisfied the rest of your life. Moreover, I don't think you are as weak as you think you are. You stand up for yourself, which is a lot more than I used to do."

 

Ryou smiled, he remembered that conversation on the deck vividly. Moreover, weather it was intended Marik had helped him immensely, through all his drama and pain Marik helped him get through it. Even now, Marik was helping him get through life; he was right beside him offering advice, strength, and love. Marik also had changed a little he was bit more attuned to others and listened more to what others had to say. Both Marik and Ryou affected each other deeper than the other would probably ever know.

 

"Do you realize what it means to love someone, Ryou? Do you realize what you are doing? To love someone is to ache for them twenty-four hours a day. To constantly feel their presence. To love someone is to be willing to do anything for the person you love, anything at all. This is what I mean when I say I love you.”

 

“I love you Marik.” Ryou said squeezing his hand

Marik smiled kissing Ryou's hand softly “I love you too.”

YAY! I know this chapter was short but hey, the length of the chapters of this fiction are a bit erratic anyways, but another end to another story Yay for me! Karen and me really enjoyed writing this fic for you guys but as it has been said before she lost her computer so it took longer than we intended. Guess what though! Once she gets a new comp we plan to write a sequel! Anyway, we hope you enjoyed this!
