Angelbaby: I'M SO SORRY! PLEASE, DON'T BE ANGRY. I'LL TRY TO DO BETTER. KEY WORD TRY. PLEASE DON'T HATE ME.

~~

Satire stumbled as she made her way to the door. The person on the other side knocked again.

“I'm coming.” She said with sleep deep in her voice.

She opened the door to her apartment and her eyes widened, “D...D…Duke?” she stuttered seeing the dice master standing in her doorway, “You…you're back.” She moved aside as the raven-haired boy welcomed himself in.

He looked around the small room and nodded. He turned to her with a smile, “Yeah. You miss me, baby?”

Satire rubbed her arm and nodded while looking down at the ground. Duke laughed. He walked over to her and brought her into his arms, “Don't worry, I'll be around a lot now.”

“D…don't do that on my account.” She stepped back away from his embrace as she moved over to her bed.

Duke shook his head, “I'm not. I'm doing it for the baby, our baby.”

Satire turned to him quickly with fear in her eyes, “Who…who…”

“Your little boy toy, Kaiba was it?” He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette sticking it into his mouth, “The little shit messed up my ride talking about me knocking you up and shit. Fuck. I haven't touched you in about three, four months…but then again, that would be approximately the right age of the child now, right?” he said as he bent his head and lit the butt of the cigarette.

Satire felt her breath begin to come in short, “I…I'm sorry. I…I told Seto…I…” she couldn't breathe. She didn't want Duke to know about the child, she wanted it to be Seto's and Joey's.

Duke looked at her as though she were crazy, “Damn girl. Calm down. You hyperventilating or something? Now just sit down and breathe, you need to think about our baby.”

Satire shook her head as she took a seat, “Not our, no…Seto-

“Seto don't won't shit to do with the baby, O.K?” Duke said feeling his anger rising, “Besides, I fucked you, it's my baby, right?”

Satire shook her head as she felt tears pricking her eyes, “He'll come around.” She tried to reason with herself rather than Duke.

Duke snorted, “Please.” He put his cigarette in a Styrofoam cup that lay on the dresser and sat beside her on the bed. He smiled at her and took her chin between his thumb and forefinger, “Besides, you love me and he could never take care of you the way I can, could he?”

Satire shook her head knowing from past experience it was just best to agree.

“He doesn't know about our past history and what we've been through. He could never understand our relationship.” Duke continued to tell her.

Satire nodded, “But…he's angry with me about sleeping with you that night.”

Duke snorted and began to laugh, “That night? How about all the other countless times we've been together?”

“He doesn't know.” She said softly.

Duke shrugged, “Good, it's none of his damn business and if he thinks he's going to get me out of your life, he's sadly mistaken.” He looked deep into her purple eyes that were filled with sorrow, “I love you, baby, and I know you love me. You and I are eternal. You'll never leave me, will you?” He said with a bit of force as he squeezed her chin.

She made a slight cry of pain and shook her head as tears pricked at her eyes threatening to spill.

Duke smiled, “Good, `cause I'll never leave you.” he said as he brought her into a deep kiss.

Satire responded to the kiss to avoid abuse, she didn't fight it as he lay her upon the bed, and she complied to every command as he `made love' to her.

Satire quietly cried herself to sleep as she lay next to the man who had made her life both heaven and hell ever since she could remember. No, Seto and Joey would never understand.

~~

The group of friends walked from the club. It was late and they had had a great time. They had noticed that Seto, Joey, and Satire had gone. Zaire told them about what she saw and Lavie told her to stay out of it.

“Sorry, damn.” Zaire said slightly offended by the harshness of which she said it.

Yami smiled as he suppressed the urge to bring her into a comforting embrace. Yugi rolled his eyes as his yami unconsciously sent images of him comforting Zaire in more ways than one. Yugi laughed, he wouldn't mind.

“So, Ryou, can I come home with you tonight? I think we owe Bakura a night of pleasure.” She said as she brought Bakura into a heated kiss.

Ryou swallowed, he hoped the question wouldn't come up and ruin the evening.

Lavie pulled away from Bakura slowly and looked at Ryou noticing his hesitance in answering the question. She looked into his eyes and nodded, “I see.” She said in a low voice.

Bakura groaned, another fuckless night.

Lavie rolled her eyes, “I'm outs.” She said as she turned around and headed off.

“Where are you going?” Ryou shouted, “You live that way.” He said pointed in the opposite direction she was going.

Lavie turned to him with hatred written across her face, “I told you I'm not going back to that hellhole, Ryou. I don't know what your fucking problem is, but you best find a solution before you lose me forever.” She said as she turned and ran off down a dark side road.

Ryou felt anger boil in his bones. What was `his' problem? Why was he the one with the problem?

“Ryou…” Malik began but was cut off by Ryou.

“NO!” Ryou yelled, then lowered his voice, “Don't, please, you all…you,” he sighed, “you just don't understand.” He said as he walked faster ahead of them and disappeared over the hill of the road.

The group turned to see that Bakura had left in the mist of it all. They sighed. So much drama.

“Well,” Malik stated, “We're off.” he waved goodbye to Yami, Yugi, Amaka, and Zaire as he took his boyfriend and girlfriend down the street that led to his house.

Zaire smiled and began to walk off toward her hotel before Yami stopped her, “Hey, I don't won't you walking alone during the night. Come with us to drop of Amaka and then we'll walk you to your hotel.”

Zaire thought about it and nodded, time alone with those two sounded great anytime.

Amaka pouted, “Why can't we drop her off first?”

“You live closer, it's only smart.” Yugi said as they began to walk. Amaka huffed and sulked the whole way there. She had intended on inviting Yami and Yugi in for a little game of `monkey in the middle', she'd be the monkey of course.

They got to Amaka's home. She gave each of the boys a rather long kiss then gave Zaire a kiss on each cheek before entering her home.

`Finally.' Zaire said to herself as she stepped off the pavement of the girl's driveway.

They continued to walk toward her temporary home. Yami went to her left side and grabbed her hand as Yugi did the same to her right hand.

They walked in a comfortable silence to the hotel. They each kept to their own thoughts, unknowingly thinking of the same thing…being with each other in a passionate way.

“Wanna stop at the park?” Yami asked being the first to break the relaxing silence.

Yugi smiled and looked to Zaire who smiled as well and nodded her head. What else would she say? She'd be crazy to deny.

They walked to a park not to far from the well-known French hotel. Zaire raced Yugi to the swings. They both plopped down into a swing tiredly and began to kick their legs out and in getting the swing to move.

Yami walked over to them smiling and took a seat on a bench that was placed in front of the swings so parents could watch there children play.

“Wanna sit on my lap, Yami?” Yugi giggled as he swung higher and higher.

Yami shook his head as he laughed softly. His eyes traveled over to Zaire who was looking to the moon. “What's wrong?”

Zaire looked over to him and smiled, “Nothing.” She stated as she started to swing slowly.

“Do you miss your family and friends, Zaire?” Yugi asked as he started to slow down.

Zaire nodded as her swing came to a stop, “Yeah. I miss being with my father in the tombs. I miss Jaca, Makia, and Zato. They are my best friends.”

“Are you ready to leave?” Yami asked with a hint of sadness in his voice.

“No.” Zaire smiled brightly at him, “I'm not going to rush my time here.” `Besides there's nothing back there but bad memories.' She thought absently to herself.

Yami stood up and walked behind Zaire and began to push her. She laughed lightly. “I'm glad you enjoy it here.”

“Well, you guys made that possible.” She stated.

Yugi pouted, “Push me.” He whined.

They both laughed. Yami walked behind his swing and began to push him alternating between him and Zaire.

“Um…Zaire?” Yugi questioned as Yami pushed him.

“Yeah?”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure.”

Yugi sighed afraid of hitting a soft part, “Well…I've noticed you don't speak of your mother much. I was just wondering…” Yugi stopped as Zaire's swing came to an abrupt stop.

Yami and Yugi noticed the pained faraway look on her face and instantly regretted the question. “Sorry I asked.” Yugi said softly.

Zaire shook her head, “No, I just…a long story…you wouldn't understand.” Yugi nodded. “I'm ready to go.” Zaire stated as she started to walk toward the exit of the park.

Yugi looked at Yami with a sad expression full of regret. Yami gave him a reassuring smile and they followed Zaire out the park. They walked the rest of the way in a thick silence.

“Bye.” Zaire whispered to them as she entered the hotel door.

“I didn't mean to hurt her, Yami.”

Yami looked at Yugi and kissed him lightly on the cheek, “I know, Abiou.”

~~

“She just doesn't understand.” Ryou yelled into his pillow, “Why does she have to make this so difficult. Doesn't she know I love her?” He rolled over and stared at his ceiling sighing.

“Ryou!”

“Yeah?”

“Come here, now!”

Ryou felt his heart began to speed up. What could his father possibly be angry about, “Coming!”

Ryou raced down the stairs.

He entered the living room and saw his father sitting on the couch, hands crossed and staring angrily at the T.V.

“Dad, what's wrong?” Ryou asked but his question was immediately answered as he stepped up to the couch at looked toward the T.V. His face paled as he saw the video of Lavie and him playing roles for a `video' Bakura wanted to make.

Ryou's dad turned to him and smiled in a rather mean way. He patted the couch, “Come sit down Ryou, lets watch it together.”

Ryou shook his head, “Dad please, turn it off.” he begged with fear in his eyes.

“NOW RYOU!” he yelled and hit the couch hard making Ryou jump. Ryou watched slowly to the couch and took a seat. “Pay attention now, I'm going to ask you questions later.” His father stated in a bittersweet way.

Ryou didn't know which was worst: his father finding out about Lavie and him or watching a sex tape of Lavie and him with his father. He decided that it was both. He wish that his father didn't find out and that he didn't find out this way, why couldn't he just have found a picture of them together or something.

However, through the embarrassment and uncomfortable situation, Ryou felt himself becoming hard at the sight of Lavie and her moans emitting from the pleasure he gave her. He cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably. He wanted her badly now. Why hadn't they ever watched this? How did his dad find this? Bakura must have been watching it and left it out somewhere.

His dad laughed, “You two are great let me tell you.” he took the remote and paused the tape.

Ryou groaned with embarrassment as the picture still on his ass high in the air. “Dad, please?”

“PLEASE WHAT, RYOU? WILL YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THE TWO OF YOU ARE HAVING SEX?”

“Dad!” Ryou jumped up, “You gotta understand that I love her. I didn't want you to know, but I need her. Dad. I…I…”

“You…you…what? Huh, Ryou?” His dad stood up with anger radiating in his eyes.

Ryou shook his head, “Why does it matter to you?”

“Because you can do better, Ryou!” His dad shouted.

Ryou pointed to the screen, “She is better. She knows me better than you. She's always here for me, unlike you. She wants me to be happy and will do anything to insure that happiness. What more in a woman do you want for me? She loves me; she's beautiful, caring, and-

“She's a hoe.” His dad interrupted.

“That phase of her life is over. She's changed.” Ryou tried to reason.

Ryou's dad shook with rage, “Putting clothes on a dog doesn't make it human, Ryou.”

“Are you calling her a dog?”

Ryou's dad took a deep breath and counted. He hadn't hit Ryou in a long time and he didn't want to start back on that track, “Ryou, I'm going to lay this to you simply. Either you forget her and find someone better, more suited for you or…I'm taking you back to England with me when I leave and I'm not returning here.”

Ryou shook his head, “You can't do that.”

Ryou's father began to walk away. Once he reached the stair banner he turned to Ryou, “I can and I will. Ryou…one day you'll understand. When you have a child of your own, you'll understand.” He then proceeded up the stairs.

Ryou collapsed onto the couch and stared at the screen. He took the remote and pressed the stop button. He turned off the T.V and ejected the tape. He sat back on the couch. Where was Bakura when you needed him?

~Bakura? ~ He called out to his other half via mind link.

There was a long silence before Ryou felt the shove of his yami telling him to continue.

~Bakura, my dad found out about Vie. ~

Ryou felt Bakura shrug, ~so? ~

Ryou sighed with frustration, ~He found the tape of her and me doing role-play. You remember you taped that? ~

He felt Bakura chuckle a little, ~I love that one. I guess that's my fault. I left it in the VCR. ~

~You think? ~ Ryou questioned partly annoyed, ~Well, anyway, he says that if I don't find someone else, he's gonna take me back home. I don't want to loose her Bakura. What am I going to do? ~

There was a long silence before Bakura answered, ~Why don't you ask one of the other girls to pretend just until your pops leaves? ~

Ryou smiled, ~Bakura, that's a wonderful idea! ~

~I know. ~

Ryou rolled his eyes, ~which one? ~

~I don't know…. How about Zaire, she's a pretty classy lady. ~

~Yeah, I hope Yami will be cool about that. ~

Bakura chuckled, ~Yeah. ~

Ryou became sad, ~Will you come home? ~

~No, I can't. Your dad doesn't like me. Besides it would be different without Vie there. Sorry. ~ After that Bakura closed off the link.

Ryou sighed. He got up and headed to the phone. It was late but this had to get started right away. Then maybe his dad would leave sooner.

~~

Yugi stared at his grandpa as he moved hastily around the kitchen making breakfast. Yugi sighed. He was glad his grandpa had arrived home safely, but he didn't want home right now. Yami and he had plans to invite Zaire over later on and try to apologize and `comfort' her due to yesterdays ending.

“Grandpa, I'm happy your home and all, but I really think you came back too soon. Why don't you go stay at a hotel or something? You deserve it. All you're going to do is work and you just came from working.” Yugi tried to reason with his grandpa.

Solomon chuckled sensing his grandson was trying to get him out of the house for another reason, “Yugi, I'm disappointed in you.”

Yugi looked at him curiously, “What do you mean?”

Solomon shook his head smiling, “Trying to get me out the house so Yami and you can spend sometime together…alone.” He shook his head and looked at Yugi, “Yugi, you haven't seen me in almost two months. You've had plenty of time to spend with Yami.”

Yugi smiled and nodded, “I know, Grandpa, sorry.” Yugi bit his bottom lip, “But that's not why I want you to go.”

“Oh?” Solomon asked stopping his work to look at Yugi, “Then why?”

Yugi took a deep breath, “Well…there's this girl…I really like her and I was going to invite her over tonight because I think I said something that might've cut her deep and I wanted to make it up to her.”

“Yugi, what about Yami? Are you two falling apart?” His grandpa asked with concern sketched on his face.

Yugi smiled and shook his head, “No, no, nothing like that. Yami likes her too. We both want to be with her.”

Yugi's grandpa nodded, “She must be something amazing.”

“She beyond words.” Yami stated from the stairway as he made his way to sit beside Yugi.

Yugi smiled and kissed him. Solomon chuckled, “Is she now.” He smiled and looked at the two boys, “Alright, you won me over. When should I leave?”

Yami smiled, “Oh no rush, Solomon, but I'd say as soon as possible.” The three laughed.

Later after Solomon had left, Yugi and Yami quickly prepared for the night to come. As Yugi continued to set up, Yami went to the phone and dialed Zaire's number. The phone rang twice before it was answered.

“Bonjour?” she sounded on the other end. Yami just about melted from the soothing voice.

“Hello, Zaire?”

“Yami?” Yami could hear the surprise in her voice. He smiled, “Yeah, um…you busy today?”

There was a long pause before she answered, “Sorry, someone else was talking to me. Um…yeah I am, but I'm free after nine. Is that too late?”

Yami smiled, “No, no it's fine. I'd love for you to come over as soon as you can.”

Zaire laughed, “Of course.”

Yami smiled brightly as he felt his insides began to bubble with excitement, “O.K. Great!”

~~

Zaire placed the phone back into its cradle when she finished talking with Yami.

“Who was that?” Ryou asked from the chair that sat beside the window.

Zaire smiled as she sat upon her bed, “Yami.”

Ryou had a worried expression on his face. Zaire quirked an eyebrow, “What's wrong?”

Ryou shook his head, “Noth…nothing. Sorry, I'm just so nervous. Do you think this would work out? Do you really think we shouldn't tell the others?"
Zaire shrugged, “I think we should play this out as quietly as possible. But maybe I should run it by Vie. I don't want her to think I betrayed her or anything.”

Ryou nodded, “Of course, yes.” He smiled, “Thank you so much for doing this.”

Zaire shrugged and shook her head, “No problem. You've been nothing but a friend to me. Think of it as me returning the favor, meaning you don't owe me one, got that?”

Ryou nodded, “Yeah.”

Zaire sighed, “Alright so lets get started on our history. We knew each other a long time ago and now we've met again and the sparks just came flying back. You had gotten with Vie to conceal the pain of losing me, but the minute you saw me again…BOOM! You just couldn't deny it anymore. You were once in love with a beautiful and elegant lady and now she has returned back into your life. It's like the fates of heaven have open the gates of happiness for you and they are beckoning you in and you must comply for the joy of true love is a once in the life time opportunity and you refuse to let it escape your grasp.” Zaire finished with a faraway, dreamy look upon her face.

Ryou had a huge sweat-drop upon his head. He laughed nervously, “Yeah, or something like that.” He cleared his throat, “That's sound good, well the first part at least. The fates of heaven and gates of happiness thing was a little much, but I think we can work with that story.”

Zaire laughed as she rubbed the back of her head, “I guess I was kind of over doing, sorry, I'm romantic, what can I say?”

Ryou shrugged, “Well it was a lovely story.”

Zaire smiled cocking her head sideways.

Ryou rolled his eyes as he got up and placed his hands out before her, “I shall now take my lady out on a voyage that the French like to call `Les Vitrines' or in English terms…shopping. And upon this voyage I shall by my lady many of things that are considered fine. Dazzling jewelry, elegant dresses, charming shoes, and adequate accessories shall be yours. Then my lady and I shall go dancing in the moonlight till sun breaks.”

“Or till our feet hurt.”

Ryou smiled, “Or that. So what do you say,” Ryou offered his arm to her, “shall we?”

Zaire smiled and placed her hand upon his elbow, “We shall.”

The sun beamed down upon Joey's back as he stood in front of Satire's apart deciding with himself on rather or not he should go see her. Seto had asked Joey to just give him time to absorb all the news and then maybe he'd start thinking rationally. However, Joey knew that that could take forever and Satire needed as much support as possible now.

Joey sighed. The special thing about their relationship, in his opinion, was the fact that no one loved the other more. They had all gotten together at the same time unlike Malik and Marik who would always love each other more than they did Isis or Ryou and Lavie who had a deeper history then they did with Bakura. They, on the other hand, started to love each other all at the same time. This is why Joey felt that he should be there for Satire. None of them had a history with the other, they all had their own past secrets and Joey felt that this was just one of Satire's and he should help her.

Nonetheless, it was hard to feel pity for someone who obviously did cheat on you and kept it a secret for four months. It's heart wrenching, why hadn't she told them, what other secrets did she hide. Maybe that's what Seto was so upset about. He was afraid that by helping Satire he would find out more secrets about her and the love he had for her would just blow away in the wind of betrayal and lies.

Joey sighed. So Seto refused to help Satire in hopes of saving their love. “Man, that's deep.” He said out loud to himself. Joey looked up to the window he knew belonged to Satire, “Still…” he said as he walked up to the front entrance.

Joey took a deep breath as he knocked on the door to the room. He heard soft footsteps make their way to the door and watched as the knob turned slowly.

Satire peeked out, only allowing the door to open a crack. A small sad smile danced upon her lips as she saw Joey standing outside her door, “Joey, what are you doing here? I thought…”

Joey shook his head, “You should know by now dat I'm nothin like Seto. Can I come in?”

Satire's eyes widened with fear, “Oh, um…I…I…um…I not sure that's a good idea right now.”

“Nonsense, it's a great idea.” Said a voice as the door opened wider to allow entry.

Joey frowned as Duke appeared in the doorway wearing a smug grin, “Please come in, we weren't doing anything…yet.”

Joey shook his head, “On secon' thought, neva mind.” He stated as he turned to walk away.

Duke faked hurt, “You sure? We were gonna bake cookies.”

Satire felt tears pricking at her eyes. She ran after Joey hoping to get him to understand, “Joey, please.” She begged as she grabbed his hands.

Joey pulled his hands away from her, “Man, Tire, I come ova here hopin to be able to help ya in some way or anotha and you got him here. What am I supposed to think, huh? How am I supposed to respon' to dis?”

Satire shook her head as tears poured out her eyes, “You just don't know. You don't understand. If you only knew Joey, if you only understood. If only you had been there, if only Seto had been there, then maybe this would have never happened. I want to tell you so bad. I've wanted to tell you both for a long time, but I just don't know how, I don't know how to make you understand. I don't want to lose you, neither of you.”

Joey looked her up and down and shook his, “It's too late, Tire. You already have.” He then turned and headed toward the elevator.

Joey turned and looked at Satire as he pressed the button for the main floor, “Satire, I really thought you knew that we'd understand anything, and we'd help you through everything.”

“Then don't leave me.” She whispered.

Joey looked down and sighed. Satire watched as the doors closed and shielded her from her only remaining hope. She fell to the floor and began to cry. How could all this just suddenly happen to her? She'd lost everything in a matter of forty-eight hours.

Bakura knocked on the door and waited for an answer. He rubbed at his eye with irritation and knocked again when no answer came.

“Who is it?” he heard a girl yell from somewhere in the room.

“Bakura.” He answered.

“Who?” She asked as she came to the door and opened it. A girl about his age appeared before him. She was a pretty girl, tall, with very short raspberry hair almost in a boy haircut. She had attractive jungle green eyes and a rosy completion. She stared at Bakura with annoyance of obviously being disturbed, “I don't know you.”

Bakura rolled his eyes, “I not here for you. I'm looking for a girl named Lavie, I heard she was staying here.”

The girl sucked on her teeth and looked Bakura up and down. She cocked her head and as though in thought. Bakura could feel his patience running out. She nodded as she moved away from the door, “She in the third room to the left.” The girl stated as she closed the door when Bakura entered.

“Thank you.” Bakura said with a slight growl. The girl rolled her eyes and plopped back onto the couch to continue watching her show.

Bakura went down the room that he was told and knocked on the door.

“Just a minute.”

Bakura smiled at hearing her voice, “Please hurry, it's an emergency.”

“BAKURA?!”

Bakura heard the girl room to the door stepping on a few things and sprouting out cursing words as she did so. The door opened and Bakura just about melted at the smile that welcomed him.

“ Hi.” He stated as she allowed himself in. Lavie shut the door and placed her hands upon her hips, “How did you find me?”

Bakura smiled as he stalked around the room, “Babe, I'll always find you, remember that.”

Lavie laughed as she took a seat on her bed. Bakura sat beside her and gave her a long passionate kiss. When they parted Lavie smiled, “What was that for?” Bakura smirked as he kissed her again and pushed her back onto the bed, “I need you, please? Then we can talk business, k?”

Lavie kissed him, “I have no problem with that.”

“Good.”
