Return to Egypt

(Quick note to the same person as before... To find me, or any of my stories, you just have to remember my internet name is Funny Bunny, it makes things easier because it's an one of a kind name.)

Bakura sat on the floor looking up angry at Yami. How dare he make Bakura into his servant! He glared harder as Yami started to talk to Bakura about something. "Look, Yugi's already gotten a fever, and I'm worried, we don't have the proper treatments to help them here.", he explained, "I'm already forcing Yugi to stay in bed, and in his own soul room for this whole time.",

"So? There's nothing I can do, now is there?", Bakura said.

"I want you to check on your other half.", Yami instructed, "Right now.",

Bakura went into his soul room as instructed, then, he opened Ryou's soul room door. The walls were blue colored, and the room had a sad, broken look about it. 'Strange I never noticed this before.', Bakura thought to himself as he found Ryou tossing, and shivering violently in bed.

"What's wrong?", Bakura asked, a little harsher than meant.

Ryou flinched, and started to creep to the other side of the bed, fear filling his eyes. Bakura reached out to keep him from falling off of the bed. Only then Ryou panicked, "P- p- please! I didn't!!!! I'm sorry.... I'm sorry....", he said, "Oh, God... Don't kill me!....",

As tears fell down Ryou's cheeks, and he shuddered violently, Bakura realized how he'd really been to Ryou. He'd become what he feared, and hated most... His own Father.... "I'm sorry.", Bakura whispered, before running from Ryou's room, and into his own, locking his door behind himself.

After regaining his senses, Bakura came back out to the living world. "So?", Yami asked.

"He's freezing cold.", Bakura told Yami.

"Just as I thought, Ryou's effected faster by it.", Yami nodded, "In that case.... We'll have to act quickly to save them.",

....

As night fell, Bakura slept on his straw mat that sat outside Yami's bedroom chamber. He went into Ryou's soul room once more, carefully, quietly.... Ryou's soul room was depressing, there was a glass figurine, it was cracked. He moved slowly to the bed, taking all of the pain and sadness the soul room reflected. "Ryou.", Bakura muttered.

Ryou's eyes opened, his face was covered with sweat, his cheeks were flushed, and held the look of weariness in them. Until he saw Bakura, then, they held fear... Bakura reached a hand out to feel Ryou's head, only to have Ryou struggling weakly over to the other side of the bed. "Please.... I didn't...", Ryou's voice came out dry, and hoarse.

Bakura grabbed the glass of water at the nightstand, and gently holding Ryou still, put it to Ryou's lips. "Drink it.", he said, simply.

Ryou did, greedily, he finished, and lay back down onto the bed. Bakura went silently to work, first, placing a cool damp cloth upon Ryou's forehead, then, covering him with the blankets. "I'm.... So.... Cold... Bakura.", Ryou said, quietly.

"You just sleep, I have business to take care of.", Bakura instructed, then left that soul room.

He returned to his own, carefully rummaging through everything in it. There was nothing in it to help Ryou, nothing. That's when Bakura returned to the outside world. 'It is warmer out here, than in my soul room.', Bakura thought to himself.

He eventually fell asleep on his straw mat, but, decided it best not to go back into his soul room.

....

Yami went in to check on Yugi, a little bit of sweat was on his forehead, and he was shivering a bit, but, he looked like he wasn't too badly effected by it. "How do you feel, aibou?", Yami asked, gently.

"Just a little cold, but, I'm fine.", Yugi answered in a whispery voice, "And a little ticked that you came and woke me up.",

"I'm sorry, I just needed to see if you were all right.", Yami said, "You can go back to sleep if you like now.",

"I will, goodnight, Yami.", Yugi whispered.

"Night, Yugi.", Yami responded.

End Chapter: I have to stop here, don't want to give away too much right now.
