Chapter 5
As the morning of that day drew nearer, Bakura spent more, and more time making sure that Ryou would live to make it home. He had fallen into a coma like sleep, but was still barely alive. He managed to keep Ryou alive, and soon it was time for the two of them to go. As soon as they stepped into the temple, Bakura could smell incense being burned, and the low bass of chanting from several voices. The ashes of fire stung his face as he walked beside Yami. As the two of them came close to Seth, Bakura noticed the nod of the High Priest to the Pharaoh. "Seth, I wish a healthy future for you.", Yami said.
Bakura didn't hear the response from Seth, however, he did hear Yami's voice over the chants. "Bakura come stand over here with me.", he said.
The chanting seemed to increase, the smell of incense became potent to Bakura, and he was just barely aware that the sun was rising, until it shone inside the temple lighting everything, it seemed to fill the room, the smells, the chants, then it filled all of Bakura, and Yami. Then, darkness, total and utter darkness. "My dear Tomb Robber", a gentle voice spoke, "You have passed the test, now you shall be made anew for it. Ryou shall live, and your kindnesses to him won't be forgotten, for now sleep the sleep of rebirth...",
He was plunged into the darkness like waters streaming around himself.....

Ryou woke in his room back home, but, he had been in Egypt, hadn't he? Ryou looked for the light, and it flooded the familiar bedroom with warm light. Ryou looked at his clock, it was only half an hour of the day that he had fallen asleep. Ryou went into his soul room, then opened his Yami's, which was empty. Soon, Ryou came back to the outside world. He decided to get up, and head outside for a walk, when he did he saw something smooth, and shining in the moonlight from the window. It was a pumpkin sized, oval, brown speckled egg sitting in his bed. Then, he knew what had happened to Bakura, or at least he suspected.

Yugi woke with a start, he wasn't in Egypt now, but in his room. However, he knew that that had not been just a dream, it had been real. Yugi tried to reach Yami through soul link only not to get any response from the darker half of himself. Then, he saw it at the foot of his bed, a gold speckled egg sitting on the floor about big enough for Yugi to wrap his arms barely around it. "Yami?", Yugi wondered to himself.
End Story: There will be a sequel called Angel Kisses, but, I'm stopping this story here, too much work to do, too much! Next story project coming up: Neko Yu- Gi-Oh! Revised because stupid FF.Net doesn't want NC- 17.
