Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Return To Hades ❯ What is Right? ( Chapter 22 )
WARNING: JOEY X SETO LEMON! YAOI! LEMON INSIDE!
Sakiyama: Aten wakes up at the end of this chappie.
Kura Magician Girl: I knew the heart thing would squick some people out, but it goes to show how vicious he can be.
Valea: *is poked to death* Hayden may get better in speech, but he won't recover for the most part.
Shadow of Light: *Aria giggles* I thought Aria did a really good job in the last chapter.
Beysie:Aten will be fine. He has his older-by-two-minute sister. Gotta love Marik's pride!
Anubiset: Okay…good question LOOK, A MONKEY! *runs away* ……..no, not really. How did Robbie survive by being stuck with a needle that had Aten's blood on it? I think the blood has to touch the tongue. Not sure. I do plan on doing something more with that info later on, though.
Motje: I don't think Yugi will want Yami back, but there are always miracles, huh?
Seto lover and Bakurasgirl lover: Yami will pay and Aria will learn to control her tendencies to want to hit her father in the gonads.
I is me: ouch! *is stabbed by Rusty spoon again, gets Tetnus, and dies because of lack of health insurance*
Broken Time: *Yami runs away*
Lady Elfskye: Aria will be able to sense Yami in the crowd as he comes closer…like a psychic sense.
YoukoMia: No, forget about Bakura action for a little bit.
Caterfree: Aria will protect her brother. *hands icepack for head smashed into monitor*
Kat: Hayden has really regressed. Otogi, marik, and chick flick..*dies laughing* I know…Yugi cursed! Everyone:……..
Marik ishtar77: Condolences for the pms probably. I never heard of lacuna coil. I'll have to look into that song. I may be able to use it as a song chappie.
What is Right?
Aria stood by Ryou, shifting her weight between each foot. Her stomach hurt and she couldn't wait to go home. Ryou and Marik remained by Aten's bedside. Bakura had to take Malik for a walk around the hospital.
She reached into her pocket and pulled out her dueling deck.
"Mother, I'm going to take a walk," Aria said, shuffling her cards.
Ryou turned to her. "Are your cramps better, Aria? Do you want to go home?"
"No," the girl said shaking her head. "I don't want to leave Aten. I just need some air."
Marik looked up from the bed. "Be careful out there, Chibi Bakura. Got your deck with you?"
Aria held up her deck and kissed it. "I never leave home without my deck! It's a good thing my dresses have pockets!"
Ryou leaned over and kissed her cheek. "Be careful."
"I will," Aria said walking out.
She walked down the hallway, looking into the hospital rooms as she strolled. She breathed deeply and felt a shudder run through her.
'This place stinks like the lab I was in. Not very comfortable.'
Aria bumped into a man's leg and looked up. "Pardon me." Aria looked up. "Karl! Jay!"
Karl was holding Jay's hand as he helped his lover walk. "Hello, Aria! My, don't you have a pretty dress on today!" Jay said complimenting her on her purple dress with white lace.
She giggled. "Thank you, Jay. I'm glad to see you are up and around. How are you feeling?"
Jay sighed. "Well, I can use my left arm again, but the doctors said I may not have any feeling in it again."
Aria reached up. "Can I see your arm?"
Jay leaned down and gave Aria his arm. She touched it and rubbed it with her hand.
"I hope it feels better soon."
Karl steadied Jay. "See you around, Aria. I have to get Jay back to bed before he falls again."
"Bye!"
Aria reached into her pocket and grabbed some change. She ran up to a candy machine and bought a Milky Way bar. (don't own)
Eating it quickly, she walked outside for some fresh air. She took a deep breath, grateful to be away from the smell of the hospital which reminded her of GeneTech's labs.
She turned her head to look down the street, sensing something approaching…something dark….with evil intentions.
Aria thought of her thin, unconscious, wheezing brother in his hospital bed. She could still hear his body struggle to breathe in and out. Aten would not be able to defend himself.
She watched the crowds as a familiar face approached. Aria narrowed her eyes and her hair spiked. Her canines sharpened. She continued to shuffle her deck.
Yami narrowed his eyes as she blocked his entrance to the hospital. "Oh…hello, Aria."
Yami Aria growled. "What do you want here, pharaoh?"
"I came to visit your sick brother."
"How did you know he was sick? Why do you care in the first place?"
Yami crossed his arms. "I do not answer to a child!"
Yami reached for the door and Aria jumped up, scratching his arm.
"I will protect my brother Aten from you!"
The pharaoh withdrew his arm and looked at the wound. The girl's nails hand pierced his arm down to the bone. He staggered back in pain.
Aria held her head up high and stuck her chest out defiantly. "I am not letting you enter this hospital!"
"You cannot stop me, little girl!"
Yami Aria chuckled and grinned. "In case you have not noticed, pharaoh, I am not the little girl you once knew. I am older. Stronger….and definitely more deadly!"
Yami removed his deck from his belt. "You do not know the meaning of deadly, you little meddling child!"
"Try me! I've got brains, I've got looks, and I've got deadly PMS! DO. NOT. SCREW. WITH ME!"
The pharaoh pulled a card from his deck. "Well, already screwed with your brother's mind….I may as well do you next….literally!"
Yami Aria snarled and her hair spiked more. Her eyes narrowed further. "I'm going to have to teach you a lesson! HOW DARE YOU!"
Yami held up a card. "This will finish you off so that I may finish what I started with your brother! SLYFER THE SKYDRAGON!"
Aria watched as black clouds gathered in the sky. Lightening struck and a great wind picked up, forcing the people on the streets to run for shelter.
Aria watched Slyfer land behind Yami and roared at her. "Do you think that scares me? I will show you real fear! Come to me, Nightmare Dragon!"
******************************
Robbie rested his head against his father's body as more trembling threatened to move the bed across the room. Daniel put his arms around Robbie and ran his fingers through his son's hair.
"Our brave little soldier," Daniel said reassuringly, holding his son.
Robbie blinked quietly, his eyes raising to watch Aten's body start twitching in the bed.
"What's w-wron-g with A-ttten?"
Ryou and Marik put their hands on Aten's arms to let Aten know that they were there. "This must be his withdrawal."
"At least he's asleep through it," Marik added. "This could be bad for his heart."
"The little warrior's got a heart problem?" Daniel asked.
Miranda rubbed Robbie's leg. "He was diagnosed with heart failure a few years ago."
"Really?" Daniel asked as he looked over at Marik.
Marik nodded. "Really."
"What did the doctors say?"
Marik shook his head. "There's nothing they can do for him. All they can do is make Aten as comfortable as they can."
"They gave him a pacemaker and it seems to have cut down the chest pains he used to have," Ryou said. "He's still on tons of pills every day, but he's alive." Ryou ran his fingers through Aten's hair and stroked his cheek. "That is what I'm thankful for."
They heard a knock on the door and looked up.
"Father Vidello!" Miranda said standing up. "What a surprise!"
The priest walked into the room and passed Aten. He shook Miranda and Daniel's hands happily.
"It's nice to see you home, Daniel."
"Well, I heard my boy was gone and I couldn't stay on my ship knowing that my son was in danger."
"He---he-Hell-Hello, Ff---ffff-fath-er Vi---Videll-o," Robbie smiled at the priest.
Vidello approached the child in the bed. "Hello, Robert. Thank God you are safe!"
Robbie smiled. "I'm g-glad to ha-ve my par-en-ts back."
"Once I heard our best choir boy was missing, Robert, I have been praying for your safe return."
Daniel held Robbie close. "He'll have to get better before he can sing in the choir, Father."
"Oh, I do realize that, I certainly do. Robert, I want you to take care of yourself. When you are ready, we would love for you to sing for us again!"
"I w-will. I miss sing-ing. I lo-love th-e ch-choir."
Vidello pat Robbie on the head. "I know you do, child. The choir isn't the same without you. I will inform the choir that you are here and I'm sure they will come to see you. Do you have your Bible?"
Robbie trembled. "I c-can't read now….I can'tttt k-kkeep my head s-still."
Ryou and Marik watched as the priest put his hand on Robbie's forehead.
"Heavenly Father, watch over Robert Morgan your servant. Help him on his way to recovery. We thank you, Lord, for watching over him and keeping him safe in your loving arms."
Marik raised an eyebrow to the priest's prayer. He had never heard a prayer like that. Marik had never gone to Robbie's church. Aten had once or twice to play his violin there for the services.
Miranda sighed. "It was a miracle we found these boys, Father."
"Yes. It was a miracle that these poor boys weren't injured in any serious way. Robbie, I have asked the congregation to pray for your speedy recovery. Well, Robert, tomorrow I will come and give you Communion."
Robbie nodded. "Y-Yes, F-Father."
"Peace be with you."
Vidello was heading out the door when Miranda called to him.
"Father Vidello?
"Yes, Mrs. Morgan?"
She turned to Aten. "What about Aten? Shouldn't he get a blessing, too?"
Vidello looked at the child, his body spasming in his sleep. His chest rising and falling barely with each breath.
Ryou stood up. "Father Vidello, it would mean a lot to me if you would bless my boy, too."
Marik raised an eyebrow suspiciously. He did not appreciate anyone touching Aten….especially if it was someone he didn't know. His narrowed eyes watched the man approach. Marik's hair twitched as he saw the man's hand reluctantly touched Aten's forehead. Marik couldn't blame the man for not recognizing Aten right away. He had only seen him a handful of times."
"What's the child's name?"
"Aten Bakari Ishtar Ibn Marik," Marik responded as he watched the priest's every move.
The priest nodded. "Father, look upon this child, Aten Bakari Ishtar and watch over him."
The priest removed his hand and tugged at his collar. "I must go find Hayden and give him my blessings. Good day, Robert."
Ryou watched the man flee. "He was quite rushed, wasn't he?"
Marik leaned over and looked at Aten's forehead to see if he had left anything on the forehead.
Robbie yawned as his eyes started to close.
They heard a loud screech outside.
Marik and Ryou jumped. "What is that?"
Another loud screech sounded. "That can't be!"
Marik jumped out of his chair and ran to the hospital window. He opened the curtain and saw
the head of a giant black dragon. "The Nightmare Dragon….."
Ryou ran behind Marik. "Aria!"
Daniel gasped as the color drained from his face. "Someone tell me what the hell that is!"
Marik narrowed his eyes. "Aria's Nightmare Dragon. She knows not to call her monsters in the broad daylight! There has to be a reason why she summoned her monster!"
Robbie turned his head. "Wow! Aria's dragon!"
Marik heard another roar. "That sounds familiar….IT'S SLYFER! YAMI! ARIA!"
Marik whipped around and grabbed his Millennium Rod from Aten's bed. He ran down the hall and entered the elevator.
****************************
Marik ran out of the elevator and saw Malik and Bakura running down the hallway. He gripped the Millennium Rod.
"This doesn't sound good, guys," Malik said hearing a screech.
Marik, Malik, and Bakura ran outside and looked up at the two gigantic monsters roaring at each other.
"Aria, what are you doing?" Marik yelled at her as he looked at Slyfer roaring angrily over Yami.
Yami Aria growled. "I am protecting my brother from this evil pharaoh."
Marik narrowed his eyes at Yami. "What were you going to do here, Yami? Were you coming to offer me condolences or stab me in the back?"
Yami narrowed his eyes. "I came to finish the job I started….with your son."
The blond yami narrowed his eyes and removed his deck from his pocket. "WINGED DRAGON OF RA! COME TO ME!"
Marik's God card flew behind the Nightmare Dragon. The Winged Dragon of Ra roared and landed behind his owner.
Yami narrowed his eyes. "I don't need to fight you, Ishtar!"
"On the contrary, you are going to have to get through me to get to my son!"
Yami narrowed his eyes. "It will be my pleasure, Ishtar! Slyfer the Sky Dragon! Attack Ishtar!"
Marik gasped as the ball of energy flew for him. The Winged Dragon of Ra threw himself in front of it to protect its master. The dragon exploded in front of Marik. "Ra!"
Yami grinned. "I am going to attack the hospital where your son sleeps! I can destroy everything with one strike! SLYFER, ATTACK THE HOSPITAL!"
Bakura cried out. "RYOU IS IN THERE STILL!"
Marik cried out. "MY SON IS IN THERE!"
Aria turned to her dragon. "Protect, Nightmare Dragon! My brother is in there!"
The Nightmare Dragon threw himself in front of the blast, absorbing the attack. He flew behind his mistress again.
Yami growled. "Aria, I am tired of your meddling!"
Bakura gasped as he saw his daughter staring down the pharaoh.
"SLYFER! ATTACK!"
Slyfer's second mouth opened.
"YAMI! MY DAUGHTER! ARIA!" Bakura ran for Aria, throwing himself in front of her.
Ryou ran outside. "BAKURA! Yami, don't hurt Bakura and my girl!"
Slyfer attacked and Marik grabbed Ryou to keep him from being hit. "BAKURA!"
Ryou watched as Slyfer's attack hit Bakura. The yami threw his head back and screamed as the attack hit him.
Aria raised her hand. "REFLECT THE ATTACK!"
Slyfer's attack reversed and struck Yami in the chest. Yami was thrown back onto his back.
Yami Aria glared down at the former pharaoh on his back. Bakura fell to his knees in front of his daughter.
Ryou ran to Bakura and held him up. "Bakura," Ryou whimpered as he kissed Bakura's forehead. "Baby, are you okay?"
Bakura nodded. He gripped onto Ryou tightly. "What happened?"
Marik ran to Bakura and growled at Yami on the ground. "Get out of here, pharaoh!"
Yami staggered to his feet as Slyfer disappeared. "I will not lose to a little brat who used to be nothing but a lowly servant girl!"
Yami Aria narrowed her eyes. "I don't serve you! I never served you! I served Seth!"
Yami growled. "You cannot protect your brother forever, Aria!"
"My brother would protect me with the same powers as I protect him! My brother loves me!"
Marik helped Bakura to his feet. The white-haired yami staggered up to Yami. "Get out of here and go back to the sewer where you came from."
The pharaoh growled as Ryou, Malik, and Marik stood beside Bakura.
"Go away, Yami," Ryou growled.
"Leave our kids alone," Malik threatened angrily.
Marik held up the Millennium Rod. "Come near my son again, pharaoh, and I will castrate you personally!"
Bakura crossed his arms with a cocky smile. "Go while you still can, pharaoh."
The Nightmare Dragon roared and snapped at Yami.
The pharaoh turned and walked away. "You have not seen the last of me, Itemri."
Aria stepped beside her fathers. "Nightmare Dragon, be gone."
Bakura looked down. "I don't know what you did, Aria, but thank you."
The little girl smiled. "I couldn't let anything bad happen to my daddy."
The white-haired yami leaned down and brought his daughter close to his body. "Who's got daddy's bloodlust?"
"I do….and the pharaoh won't forget it."
The people started creeping out into the street.
"Ryou, Aria, Malik, you three better go inside," Bakura said.
"We have to wipe these people's memory of what they just witnessed."
Aria lead her mother and Malik into the hospital. "The pharaoh will think twice before coming after Aten and I anymore." Aria narrowed her eyes. "I won't let anything happen to my brother."
********************
Dr. Zira entered Hayden's hospital room and found Joey sitting on Seto's lap. The CEO had draped a blanket over both of them as they slept on the chair. Seto's head rested against Joey's blond hair. The blond was snoring loudly as a line of drool slipped down his chin.
In the hospital bed, Hayden was awake, staring at the ceiling.
The doctor walked up to Hayden. "Hello, Hayden. How are you feeling?"
"Urgh….ab ba ba ba."
"Umm…well, okay. It's time to go to bed, Hayden. Do you understand? Bed?"
"BE- BE!"
Joey jumped in Seto's lap. His brown bloodshot eyes opened wide. "Zira?"
"I was just telling Hayden it was time for bed."
Joey yawned. "It's time for Hayden to brush his teeth and get cleaned. Maybe he'll sleep better. Seto? Seto, wake up."
Seto's eyes opened slowly. "What is it, pups?"
Zira shook his head. "Seto? Joey? You two are exhausted! Why don't you go home and relax? I can take care of Hayden."
Seto yawned. "He has to get cleaned and have his teeth brushed before he goes to bed."
"Hayden won't let the nurses touch him, so it's up to us. Come on, pups."
Seto and Joey pulled themselves off of the chair. "Zira, get me a towel and a clean hospital gown."
"Hayden, we have to clean you up," Joey said calmly. "Do you want to be cleaned?"
The boy in the bed didn't respond.
Joey grabbed Hayden's toothbrush and commenced brushing Hayden's teeth as Seto quickly washed Hayden down. As Seto washed him cautiously, Hayden began to cry.
"It's okay, Hayden. This is Seto. He won't let anything happen to you."
Hayden clutched onto Joey and rocked his upper body as Seto washed him lower and lower.
"It's alright, Hayden. You're being a good boy."
Hayden whimpered and closed his eyes tightly. "Uhhh…"
"I know, Hayden," Joey said as Seto finished.
"All done. Good boy, Hayden," Seto said as he pat Hayden on the back.
Joey unfastened Hayden's hospital gown and removed it.
The boy began to struggle as his fathers tried to remove his dirty hospital gown.
"Hayden, we need to dress you in a clean gown," Seto told him.
When they slid the clean gown over his head, he stopped struggling. Seto brushed and combed Hayden's red hair.
"There you go, son," Seto said with a grin. "Now you look all ready for bed. Clean body, clean clothes, clean teeth. Time for all good boys to go to bed."
Joey held Hayden's hand. "Seto and I are going home for the night, Hayden. If you need us, tell Dr. Zira, okay?"
Seto pulled the covers over Hayden. "We love you, Hayden."
Hayden looked up at Seto. "Uhh….ba…la…ff."
The CEO heaved a sigh. "I need to get out of here. Goodnight, Hayden. Pleasant dreams."
Joey kissed Hayden's forehead. "Goodnight, Hayden. We love you. Let us know if you need us, doctor."
"I promise."
Joey joined Seto in the hallway. They walked down to the end where Robbie and Aten were alone.
"Hello, boys. Hello, Robbie," Seto said as he approached the boy in the bed.
"Hell-o, Mis-ter Kai-ba."
Joey walked up to Aten in the hospital bed. He ran his fingers through the Egyptian's hair.
"How are you doing, Robbie?"
"Fi-ne. Ti-red."
Seto nodded. "Your mom and dad went home for the night?"
Robbie yawned. "Yeah. They we-re ti-red."
Joey looked up at Robbie. "You're looking a little better."
The boy sighed. "The sha-kes have stop-ped a lit-tle."
Seto reached down and pat Robbie's cheek. "You try to get some sleep, Robbie."
Robbie smiled up at Seto. "Yes, sir, Mr. Kai-ba."
Seto turned and looked down at the Egyptian boy in the bed. "Hello, Aten. Sorry we didn't have a chance to see you today. We'll make it up to you when you get better."
"You're looking good, Aten," Joey said reassuringly.
Aten's left eye twitched.
"We love you, Aten," Seto said, leaning over to kiss the Egyptian boy's forehead.
The CEO looked down at the boy as he felt a wave of dizziness overcome him.
****Flashback*****
The High Priest looked down at the child in his bed. Aria was sponging the boy's burning forehead with cold water in an attempt to calm his fever, the same fever that had taken his eight year old daughter days before.
The sick child panted in the bed, his skin was wet and clammy.
The pharaoh entered the room and approached the bed. "What is a child soldier doing in this bed, High Priest Seth?"
"He was ill. Aria and Aten are good friends. I could not leave the child in the training arena to die."
"If Anubis left him in the arena to die, he had a good reason. I do not need weak soldiers in my garrison. A sick soldier is of no use to me. If the child is going to die, let him do so."
Seth looked down at the child. "I cannot let an innocent child die, pharaoh. I am sorry. I want to give him a fighting chance at survival."
The pharaoh sighed. "It is a futile attempt at delaying the inevitable, Seth. A High Priest's bed is not meant for those of the lower class. This bed is for you to create an heir for me….it is not a doctor's sick bed."
Seth sighed. "Yes, my pharaoh."
Pharaoh Yami left and Aria looked up at him.
"Don't worry, master. Aten will get better."
Seth sat on the bed with a heavy sigh. "The pharaoh has no heart. How could he sit by and watch a child die? It is beyond me."
"You are not like him, master. I know you aren't. You could never be like him."
The High Priest nodded. "Thank you, Aria."
The slave smiled at him.
****End Flashback****
"Seto? Seto?" Joey called to him.
Seto looked up at his lover. "What happened?"
"You fainted. You okay?"
Joey helped Seto to his feet. "Come on, baby. We have to get you home."
***********************
Seto stepped out of the elevator and Jaimen threw himself at his father.
"DAAAAAAAAAAADDDY!!!"
Jaimen's arms wrapped around Seto's leg and squeezed it.
Joey released Seto's arms. "Are you okay now, Seto?"
"Yes, Joey, I'm fine." Joey passed Jaimen and entered Hayden's room.
Jaimen jumped up and down. "I made dinner for you, daddy! Come! Other Daddy, I made dinner for you, too!"
"I'm not hungry, Jaimen. I'll eat later."
The boy grabbed Seto's hand and pulled him to the Dining Hall. The mentally and physically exhausted man sunk into a chair and leaned his head against the back of the chair.
Jaimen ran out of the kitchen with a hot bowl of microwaved macaroni and cheese and a glass of cold milk. "There you go, daddy!"
The CEO gave his son a hug. "Thank you, Jaimen. This smells delicious!"
Seto took a bite and looked over at his smiling son. "It's….really good."
The boy hopped on a chair. "Is Hayden going to come home yet? I miss him."
"He's not ready to come home, Jaimen."
Jaimen pouted. "I really miss him!"
"I know you do. We all do. He'll be home soon."
"Is Aten awake?"
Seto shook his head. "No. He's not awake yet."
"Aww…I'd love to go see him tomorrow. Can I? Please?"
"Yeah, we could take you tomorrow."
Jaimen smiled. "Thank you, daddy!"
Seto put down his fork. "I had better get you in bed so I can wake you up early."
Seto stood up and picked up the boy. He carried him under his arm, squealing.
Seto carried Jaimen to his room, chuckling at the boy's attempts to free himself. He put Jaimen on his feet. "Go brush your teeth."
Jaimen scurried into the bathroom and changed into his pajamas and brushed his teeth. Seto tucked his child into bed.
"Is Other Daddy going to kiss me goodnight and tuck me in bed?"
"I'll go find him, Jaimen. Close your eyes, son." Seto kissed his son on the forehead.
The boy smiled. "Night, daddy."
Seto left the room and headed towards Hayden's room. He closed his eyes, anticipating falling asleep in his own bed for that night.
"Joey?"
Seto heard the clanging of glass in Hayden's room and sobbing. "Oh. Shit."
Seto opened the door and found Joey pouring Vodka into a glass. "JOEY WHEELER-KAIBA!"
Seto dived for the bottle and grabbed it out of Joey's hand. "What is this?"
Joey stood up. "Give that back!"
Seto felt his hands clench the bottle tightly. His body trembled with rage. The stress of seeing Hayden's blank stares and his mutterings increased his frustration. His eyes dulled in his rage.
"GOD DAMN IT, JOSEPH!" Seto turned and threw the bottle against the wall. The bottle shattered against the wall, sending shards of glass flying. The alcohol in the bottle covered the wall and sprayed all over. "Why? Why would you--?" Seto narrowed his eyes at Joey. "How could you do this to me, Joey? Don't you think I'm feeling this, too?"
Joey averted Seto's angry eyes.
"I haven't slept in days, Joey! I am just as worried about Hayden as you! But this is not the way to handle it!"
Joey clenched his fists. "I can't help it!"
Seto grabbed the glass of Vodka. "Then sit here and drink yourself to death! Just remember to go and kiss Jaimen goodnight. Don't let him smell that shit on your breath!"
Seto stamped out of the room and walked past Jeanie in the hallway. He opened his door to his bedroom and shut it tightly.
He stripped and left a trail of clothes to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and flossed. He used the toilet and washed his hands. He stepped out of the bathroom and crawled into the satin sheets of his bed. The cool sheets caressed his skin as he curled up in a ball.
He clutched a pillow to his chest and started to cry. His body was wracked with sobs as he held the pillow tightly.
The stress of everything culminated in the heart-wrenching sobs.
"Joey……Hayden……Aten…..I can't handle this."
The door to the bedroom opened. "Seto?"
Joey walked up to Seto in the bed. Tears filled his eyes. "Is there room in there for a foolish puppy?"
Seto looked up at his lover and reached up. He grabbed Joey's hand. "There always was."
Joey leaned down and kissed Seto on the lips. Seto unbuttoned Joey's shirt and Joey let it fall from his body. Joey pulled down his jeans and crawled on top of his lover.
Joey buried his face in Seto's neck. "I'm so sorry!" The tears rolled down Joey's face.
Seto held the blond against him. "I'm sorry, too, Joey. I just…I felt so angry. Full of rage. I've been so worried about Hayden and everyone…"
Joey removed himself from Seto and pulled back the covers over his lover. He laid on top of Seto and pulled the covers over both of them.
"Don't be mad at me, Seto."
Seto took a deep breath and stroked the blond's hair. "You are forgiven, puppy." Seto cupped Joey's cheeks in his hand. "You are forgiven because I love you."
Joey leaned down and kissed his lover. Seto's hands fell to touch the blond's chest. Seto moaned into the kiss as he felt Joey's hands run over his chest and his sides.
Joey kneeled on top of Seto's waist, kissing Seto's neck, and allowing his hands to stroke Seto lower.
The CEO's fingers caressed down Joey's body and lower to his arousal. Seto wrapped his hand around the blond's length, stroking it gently.
Joey's hands fluttered down to Seto's arousal, stroking him with the same slow strokes.
He leaned down to lick at Seto's budding left nipple, teasing it and sucking it to hardness.
The CEO moaned as he felt the moist heat around it, drawing on it slowly.
Seto reached into his side table and brought out some Cocoanut- scented oil. He placed that on his palm which had gripped Joey's length. Joey coated Seto's arousal with the same oil.
Joey listened to his lover's moaning and suddenly questioned what they were doing. Was it right that they do this? Was it right that they make love while Hayden is sick in the hospital and needs them? Was it right to make love at all with Seto?
The brown eyes looked up from Seto's chest. The CEO's eyes were closed and his mouth was open as he gasped for air. He was moaning and sweat was forming on his forehead.
Was it right to make love?
……
Did he even want to?
"Seto?"
Seto's blue eyes opened. "Yes, pups?"
"Is it right that we do this? Are you sure we should make love?"
The CEO's face looked devastated. Tears filled his eyes and his bottom lip trembled. "Are you saying…..that you don't want to make love to me?"
"I do want to, Seto."
"Joey, we have not been together in a month. I think we both need this….baby."
The blond nodded. "We do….we haven't made love in a month."
"Let's make love, Joey. I can't bear to be away from you again."
Joey nodded. "You're right. Neither can I."
Joey leaned down and continued to draw on Seto's nipple.
The lovers continued to stroke each other, their arousals growing under the other's experienced touch. Seto's other hand had reached under Joey and slid two oil-covered fingers into the blond's body, preparing him for their lovemaking. The CEO moaned at the tight heat surrounding his digits.
Seto thrust up into Joey's grip as he clutched the bedsheets, his body begging for the presence of Joey's body.
Joey shifted forward as Seto removed his digits to hold his length to Joey's entrance. Joey slowly impaled himself on Seto's erection, letting himself slide down and bury Seto inside of him.
Seto arched his knees a little to make it more comfortable for his lover. Seto continued to stroke Joey with his hand.
The blond closed his eyes as his body struggled to accommodate his lover inside of him.
Joey's fists clenched as the pain radiated through his body.
"Joey? You okay, love?"
Seto offered him his hand to hold, which Joey squeezed until the pain started to fade.
"I can't remember the last time we went this long without making love, Joey," Seto said.
"Neither….can…I."
Joey remained still until his body's pain started to die away.
He slowly started to rock on his lover. Seto thrust up into his body slowly, letting Joey set the pace.
The two lovers moved against each other, Joey's body swimming with desire for Seto. Seto moved up into Joey's body, needing the blond, and his body missing how he felt inside.
Seto's hand moved to Joey's waist, leaving the blond to touch himself and wrap his own hand around his arousal.
"Joey….baby…gods…"
"Seto….need you…."
Seto's face was covered in a blanket of sweat as he buried himself deeper and deeper into the blond, desperately trying to strike his prostate.
"Joey….I need you…."
"I'm all yours….."
The CEO moaned as Joey impaled himself harder on him.
The blond arched his back and his eyes went wide. "Oh gods!"
Seto grinned, knowing he had struck Joey's prostate.
Joey impaled himself again with the same force as Seto thrust up.
"Oh gods!"
"Come for me, Joseph! That's it, baby! Come on! I wanna feel you come, Joey! Please!"
Joey stroked himself harder. "I wanna come…."
"Please, Joey!"
Joey's body trembled as he cried out his release over Seto's chest. The CEO grabbed Joey's hips and held him down as he filled the blond with his desperate need.
Joey fell forward as his body still climaxed.
When he stopped, he was shaking.
Seto wrapped his arms around the blond and held him tightly.
The blond started sobbing. "I love you, Seto."
Seto kissed Joey's forehead. "I will love you always, Joey."

Robbie watched Aten sleep. "Aten?"
The boy in the bed continued to sleep, his fingers twitching.
Robbie sighed. "I miss talking to you, Aten. Are you going to wake up?"
"………"
Robbie sniffled. "I miss you, Aten. Why can't you say anything?"
Aten's finger twitched.
Robbie sighed.
"There's our little trooper!"
An elderly lady walked into the room slowly. "Father Vidello said you were here!"
She used her cane to walk up to Robbie's bed. "How are you feeling?"
"He-llo, Mrs. Jen-kins."
The woman reached into her pocket. "I've got something for you, Robert." She pulled out three pieces of chewy candy. "You were missing for three weeks. I give you a piece of candy every week and church. We've missed you in the choir, Robbie."
"Th-Thank you. Me, too, Mrs. Jen-kins. I miss the ch-choir."
"Well, Robert, you get better so we can hear your beautiful voice again! Our choir is not the same without you."
Robbie smiled as his eyes focused on the candy by his bed. "At-Aten is here, too."
The woman turned around. "The violin boy? Oh….I see. He was missing with you?"
Robbie nodded. "Yes."
The old woman smiled and put three more pieces of candy on the table. "I was going to have these going home, but I owe him some candy too, the poor little dear. You know what I say: You can't give to one without giving to the other. He deserves some candy, too."
Robbie smiled. "At--ten would th-than-k you."
The woman smiled. "I know he would. He's a very polite boy, just like yourself, Robert."
"I try."
"Well, you succeed." The woman turned to Aten. "Hello, Aten. I hope you get better soon. When you wake up, I'll come see you again, okay?"
The boy's finger twitched, but he remained unconscious.
"I'm looking forward to your return to the choir, Robbie."
Robbie smiled. "I'lll b-b-be th-there."
The woman smiled. "I know you will be. I have to go home now. Visiting hours are almost over."
Robbie sighed. "Okay."
"See you later, Robbie. Goodbye, Aten."
The old woman left the room and Robbie yawned.
"She's a nice lady, isn't she, Aten?"
"…………"
Robbie grabbed his G.I. Joe doll and held it against him with a sad sigh. "I hope you wake up soon, Aten. I miss you so much!" The boy yawned.
His eyes became heavy. "Goodnight, Aten."
Robbie closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.

The nurse entered early the next morning to serve Robbie his breakfast. She changed Aten's medicine and catheter bags, humming quietly. She mixed Aten's food and fed him through his feeding tube.
When that was done, she checked his IV's. "You're looking good, Aten. You got no blood in your bag today! That's a good sign. The infection must have left your kidneys!"
Aten's eyelids fluttered.
She took his blood pressure. "Not bad, Aten," Katie said with a smile.
Robbie sat up in his bed. "Does At-en look bet-ter?"
Aten's eyelids fluttered again.
"Yes, Robbie, he's looking a little better today."
Aten let out a little whimper and Katie and Robbie stopped.
"Aten?" Robbie asked as he dropped his spoon.
"Aten?"
The boy in the bed gave another whimper of pain.
Katie watched the brown and purple eyes open slowly and weakly. "Aten?!"
The child looked up at her. His chest heaved and he whispered, "Waga…." (pain)
Katie's jaw dropped and she ran out of the room. "Dr. Zira! Aten is awake!"
