Blackmail and Inquiry
Robbie sat in front of Seto Kaiba, writing whatever the CEO dictated. Robbie crossed his legs, writing quickly. Seto continued to talk, taking few breaths between sentences. When he finished dictating the press release to Robbie, he leaned back in the chair and yawned.
“Tired, Seto?”
Seto nodded. “Joey was up all night. He didn't sleep a wink and I stayed up with him.”
“Aten's had the opposite problem. He sleeps too much.”
Seto sighed. “This morning at breakfast, he was complaining to the cook because his eggs were too overcooked for him. He usually enjoyed his eggs like that and all of a sudden, he was raising his voice to the cook. Joey's never flipped out on the cook like that before.”
“He's not feeling well, Seto.”
“I know. That's the only thing that kept me from getting angry at him. Joey's body isn't stable, and neither is his mood.”
Robbie nodded. “Well, I know when the body feels awful, the mind isn't far behind.”
The CEO reached into his drawer and removed a paper. He tossed it onto the table. “This didn't help.”
Robbie picked up the newspaper and read the headline: `Seto Kaiba to Divorce Dying Lover?'
“That is the nonsense that I read this morning.”
Robbie opened the paper and read. “'Will Seto Kaiba divorce his dying lover? That is what an anonymous person has reported. Seto Kaiba, CEO of KaibaCorp, has been married to Joseph Wheeler-Kaiba for two years. They married in a private ceremony, restricted to family and friends. Will Seto Kaiba divorce his dying lover, only to marry Ryou Thomas Bakura, Seto Kaiba's former lover?' I don't believe that these people would print this!”
“I don't believe that, either. I have had enough of these tabloids. I have gathered my lawyers to organize an action suit against the papers that are publishing these lies. I'm not putting up with lies that threaten the integrity of my family and my company.”
Robbie nodded. “Those reporters are in front of my house now. My father is really irritated with them. I can't say I blame him. I didn't appreciate being jostled around on the way to Marik's home.”
“He seemed preoccupied when I seen him.”
“He's upset about Aten.”
Seto ran his fingers through his hair. “Yeah, I can imagine. It's not easy when your son is ill…..especially when you are close to him.”
Seto looked at the window where he, Robbie, Mokuba and his family were held captive by the Crusaders. He could still see Hayden's angry face staring down at him, pointing a gun at his forehead, ready to pull the trigger. Hayden's wild eyes communicated to Seto years of pain and anger that he had suppressed towards his uncle, Charlie. All of that rage was directed at him, and Seto cringed.
Robbie watched Seto walk over by the window. “Seto?”
The phone on the desk rang. “Get that, Robert.”
Robbie picked up the phone. “Seto Kaiba's office.”
[Rob, is Mr. Kaiba in his office?]
“Yeah, Maxine. Why?”
[Steven Rocher is here to see Seto. Is he available?]
Robbie raised his head. “Seto? Steven Rocher is here to see you.”
Seto turned his head and narrowed his eyes. “Rocher? Here?”
“Yes, sir. Do you want to see him?”
“Does he have people with him?
Robbie spoke into the phone. “Maxie, does he have security with him?”
[He has two men here. I told Jay and Karl to accompany them upstairs.]
“He has two men, plus Jay and Karl are coming up here, Seto.”
Seto walked towards his desk and sat on the leather chair. “Tell him to come up. You may go, Robbie.”
“Have Jay and Karl bring them up, Maxie.”
[Okay, Rob.]
Robbie hung up the phone. “Are you sure you want to be alone with him, Seto?”
“Jay and Karl will be here. It's three against three. I'd say that's fair.”
Robbie stood up. “Okay, Seto. If you need me, you know where to get me.”
“I'll be fine, Robbie. You go now. Type up that press release and send it out.”
Robbie left and Seto sat behind his desk quietly. He crossed his arms and legs, waiting for his rival to enter. Jay opened the door and Rocher entered, along with two men and Karl. Jay shut the door behind the group.
“I'm surprised to see you here, Rocher.”
Rocher approached Seto's desk and looked down at the CEO. “I figured it has been a while since I have met the competition.”
“To what do I owe the honor?”
“Is it true that you have hired one of those people the media are calling `spirits'?”
Seto grinned. “Now, why would I reveal that information to you, of all people?”
“Because I hold some information that could be potentially damaging to you. Let's say for example, sending your goons to accuse me of wrongdoing?”
Seto chuckled. “That's because you ARE attempting to gain KaibaCorp secrets.”
Rocher reached into his suit jacket and Karl and Jay reached for their weapons. “Calm down, boys. I'm only reaching for my cigar case.” Rocher removed a gold cigar case and offered one to Seto. “Want one?”
“I don't smoke….and I am telling you that you will not light one up in here. You'll have to wait until we are done our conversation. You are not going to intimidate me, Mr. Rocher. I am going to protect my company at any cost.”
Rocher grinned. “So a question remains: how much is your company worth to you?”
“Much more than you could ever line your pockets with, Rocher.”
Rocher smiled at his adversary. “You sent men to try and threaten me….one of which is standing right here.”
“I don't know what you are talking about.”
“Oh, really? Well, Seto Kaiba, I think you need to check your email. The proof is in an email I sent to you. You sent people to try and intimidate me. I have the proof that you have one of those Spirits working for you. I don't know what that feller did to my head, but I couldn't remember a thing of his visit. Now, I can send this to the media. Of course, that would get you into an awful lot of trouble with the law. The law don't like people who threaten their business rivals, you know. I'm sure the Domino Police would be very interested in you, should that be revealed. Your company will crumble and its reputation will suffer. You will most likely have to resign your position. Then, I believe, that husband of yours will have not have a chance in hell of any kind of recovery.”
Seto narrowed his eyes. “Blackmail is also not looked upon lightly.”
Rocher chuckled. “That may be so, but if you do show this to the police, then you will be exposing yourself as having done wrong in the first place. I think that the police or someone would find it interesting that the Spirit who works for you has used his powers to his advantage. He will have proven himself a danger to society and everyone he encounters. Are you prepared to add to the panic that is sweeping Domino? Are you ready to admit to the world that these……creatures….. are dangerous? I don't think that KaibaCorp would consider making this sensitive issue even more sensitive. What do you say, Mr. Seto Kaiba? Are you willing to protect your company?”
Seto stood up. “I do not negotiate with bullies.”
Rocher smiled. “I will give you some time to think it over, Seto. It's your choice. I suggest you make the wise one. Let's go, boys.”
Seto watched as Rocher and his two men left. Jay and Karl shot him uncomfortable glances as they left. The CEO took a deep breath and sat on his chair.
He closed his eyes and rubbed them.
//A good businessman doesn't give into those who intimidate them, Seto…….I don't want you to EVER give into intimidation! Do you hear me, child?!//
Seto opened his eyes quick as he heard his stepfather's voice in his head. He could still feel the sharp sting of Gozuboro's slap across his cheek every time Gozuboro would say that exact phrase. He rubbed his right cheek and looked out the window again to watch the birds fly by.

Yugi sat behind the cash register, reading his book. The magazine shelves had been restocked and the new duel cards had been organized and placed into their sleeves. He had priced all of the new merchandise and was finally able to sit and relax.
Glenn opened up the door and walked in, carrying a bag. “Time for me to go dance my life away.”
Yugi smiled at Glenn and nodded. “Have fun and be safe.”
Glenn nodded. “I'm always safe. I got a new outfit for work.”
“Oh, let's see!”
Glenn unzipped the bag and held out a black speedo with sparkly gems lining the top. “What do you think?”
Yugi chuckled. “Is it revealing?”
Glenn nodded with a grin. “I'll model for you later.”
Yugi licked his lips. “Sounds good. Have a good day.”
Glenn kissed Yugi's cheek. “You bet. I'll drop by the hospital after Teazers.”
“Okay. Catch you later!”
Glenn left as Yugi turned the page in his book. He looked up when the door closed. `If only Yami didn't have a stick up his ass…..' He sighed. `Glenn is much better for me, anyway. He's normal.'
Yugi sighed again and looked at a box of Duel Monster cards. He put his book down and kneeled on the ground. He carefully removed it from the shelf beneath the register. He blew on the box, sending a few specks of dust flying off of its gold cover. `My old box…..it held all of my Duelist Kingdom cards…..Why did Yami have to change? Why did he change?.....I loved my yami.'
The door open and the bells jingled against the door. Yugi stood up and saw a woman in a black suit walk up to the counter.
“Are you Yugi Motou?”
Yugi nodded. “Yes, I am. May I help you?”
The woman smiled down at him. “My name is Trisha Osmond. Do you have a couple minutes to spare, Mr. Motou?”
Yugi nodded. “I do. Why?”
“I wish to ask you a few questions about your career.”
“Career?”
“I am referring to your victory in Duelist Kingdom and Battle City Tournaments.”
Yugi laughed. “That was over twenty years ago!”
The woman removed a notepad from her briefcase. “I know it has been a long time, Mr. Motou. I promise not to take up too much of your time.”
“Are you going to publish this? Because my friends have enough problems right now as it is without someone else adding to it.”
Trisha removed a badge from her jacket. “I'm from the State Police, Mr. Motou. I am investigating into the background of your so-called friends.”
Yugi examined the badge. “They didn't do anything wrong, did they?”
“No, Mr. Motou. I am here to inquire as to what you know about them.”
“Oh, okay. They're really not all bad.”
“When did you first meet them, Mr. Motou?”
Yugi sat on his chair. “I've known Ryou since high school.”
“When did you first meet these so-called `spirits'?”
“I met Bakura at Duelist Kingdom.”
Trisha wrote in the notepad. “Did he enter into the tournament?”
Yugi shrugged. “Not exactly. Bakura came with Ryou. I guess you could call Bakura a stow-away on that trip.”
“I see. What about the other?”
“I met Marik at the Battle City Tournament.”
The woman continued to write. “Did you notice any…..violent behavior from either of them?”
“Bakura and Marik had tried to gain these Millennium Items for themselves, but…..they were unsuccessful.”
“Do they have the odd powers that the media claims?”
Yugi shrugged and scratched his head. “I'm not at liberty to say.”
“I need an honest answer now, Mr. Motou. Do you believe that these two spirits pose a danger to Domino City?”
Yugi looked up at the woman and shook his head. “No. They have done more good than bad, in my opinion.”
“I understand that about a year ago, there was a disturbance in Domino City. Thousands of people report seeing a large black dragon appearing in the middle of the city. The dragon rampaged through part of the city. How do you explain that?”
Yugi wrung his hands under the counter, nervously. “That wasn't their fault. Aria did it. She was angry.”
The woman looked up. “Aria?”
“That's Bakura's daughter.”
“Who is her mother?”
Yugi swallowed hard. “Ryou. Ryou takes care of her.”
“Who is her biological mother, though?”
“That's a complicated answer.”
Trisha raised an eyebrow at Yugi. “How come?”
“I'm not at liberty to say.”
“That dragon could have destroyed the city, Mr. Motou. Do you know how serious that is?”
Yugi nodded. “Yes, I know. She was angry!”
“Still, that could have cost thousands of innocent lives.”
“She's never done that out of anger since then! Bakura was very angry at her.”
“Where does she live?”
Yugi shifted in his chair. “She lives by the docks with her family.”
“Family?”
“Yes, with her family,” Yugi said.
“I will have to go there and speak to her.”
Yugi tried to look at what the woman was writing, but it was illegible to him. “I don't want to get her in trouble.”
“She's not in trouble, Mr. Motou. I am just investigating this case.”
“Case?”
“This story is all over the media, Mr. Motou. We have first-hand accounts of seeing these people conjure up dangerous creatures. Who knows what these people are capable of. My job is to ensure that the public is safe.”
“They are no threat.”
Trisha closed her notepad. “That is for me to decide, Mr. Motou. Thank you for your cooperation. Please do not discuss this conversation with anyone. This is confidential information between you and me.”
“They really are not bad, Bakura and Marik.”
“Once again, Mr. Motou, that is for me to decide. Good day.”
Yugi watched as the woman left.
********************************
Seto flipped through the pages of his book. Beside him, the fire burned and crackled. The ticking of the clock remained consistent as he read. He tried to get the conversation with Rocher out of his head. If that video went public, his empire would crumble.
He would be criminally charged and lose his position.
KaibaCorp's reputation would be reduced to ashes.
Joey's health would decline at a faster rate…..and his condition would prove terminal if he didn't get a match for the liver soon.
Aten was the only one with a match that he had found…..but Aten was still alive.
Seto looked up at the clock. How much longer would that last, though? From what Robbie was saying, Aten wasn't eating, he was nauseous more often. He was sleeping more….
Aten's health was failing, but Robbie was refusing the face the facts that Aten was dying.
Seto sighed. He could relate with Robbie's frustration. Something needed to be done, and it had to be done quickly.
Seto heard someone knocking at the door. “Who is it?”
The knocking continued. “Come in.”
The door opened slowly and Kai ran in. “UNCLE SETO!!!!”
Seto put his book down as the toddler ran to him. “What are you doing here?”
Aria opened the door to the Study. “Hello, Uncle Seto. I was in the area and I dropped by for a visit.”
Seto picked up Kai and hugged him tightly. “I'm surprised to see you both here.”
“Well, I had to go shopping.”
“I got a new toy!” Kai said excitedly, holding up a balloon sword.
Aria giggled. “Yes, there were some people doing balloon animals at the mall and I got a little sword.”
Seto sighed, shaking his head.
“Remember my old `sword' that I used to play with, Seto?”
“I couldn't believe that you found THAT and thought it was a sword!”
Aria giggled and blushed. “I was a brat……and proud of it.”
“Sometimes I wondered if you were Marik's kid.”
Aria shrugged. “Who knows? I could be half of dad and half of Marik.”
“Where's Rhett?”
“Rhett's with his daddy at home. They're doing male bonding things.”
“Playing with the baby?”
Aria shrugged again. “For all I know, they could be watching fishing shows on television. He says he wants Rhett to be a fisherman when he grows up.”
“I want to be a pirate! ARR!!!” Kai laughed, poking Seto with the balloon sword.
Seto looked up and blinked. His vision became cloudy. He saw Aria looking down at him with a smile. A white, silky robe covering her body. A golden ankh necklace laid against her chest.
“Seth?” She reached out her hand to him as he stared up at her, his eyes widened at disbelief. “Seth? My dear Seth, are you alright?”
Seto looked down and saw a toddler in his arms, the little boy was smiling up at him with large brown eyes.
Seto shook his head and saw Aria in her blue dress, holding his hand. “Seto? Are you alright?”
He looked around, Kai was smiling up at him.
Aria pressed her hand to his forehead. “Seto, are you okay?”
The CEO put Kai on the floor and rubbed his eyes. “Not again…… Damn.”
“What?”
Seto opened his eyes. “I saw you as you were in Egypt again.”
Aria stood up. “You did? Again? How come?”
“I don't know. I don't know why these visions have not faded! Why have they come back?”
Aria bit her lip, nervously. “Kai, can you go out and play with your new toy? Go to Uncle Joey. He'll play with you.”
“He's in the Studio, Kai,” Seto said.
“Okay, then! Bye-bye!” Kai scurried out.
Aria closed the door behind Kai and walked up to Seto slowly. She kneeled beside Seto's ankles. “They have not ended for me, either, Seto.”
“They haven't?”
”No…..I don't know why they haven't stopped. I called Isis and asked her about it.”
”No…..I don't know why they haven't stopped. I called Isis and asked her about it.”
“And?”
Aria looked up into Seto's blue eyes. “She said that we will continue to have these visions until what is predestined, happens.”
Seto sighed. “Well……what did she say was predestined?”
Aria shook her head. “She wouldn't tell me.”
“Well……can we find out what she meant?”
“No. Not that I know of. Something is supposed to come about with our visions. They have to mean something!”
Seto sighed and rubbed Aria's hand. “We'll figure it out. Did you tell Umi about these visions continuing?”
Aria nodded. “Yes, I did. I love Umi and I want to be honest with him. He said they don't matter to him. That was our past lives. What influence could they possibly have today?”
Seto looked down. “Well…..there was that time that……I kissed you on the lips and I had a hard time controlling myself for some reason.”
Aria sighed. “I know. I don't know why I felt that way when we kissed. It's hard to believe that we were once ancient lovers….husband and wife.”
Seto closed his eyes as the dizzy feeling returned. He opened his eyes and everything was covered in a haze. `Oh no, it's happening again!' he thought. `Fight it, Seto! Fight it!'
As he looked through the haze, Aria was dressed in the white, soft robe again.
Aria's vision grew blurry as she looked at the CEO. Aria looked up at Seto and saw his suit fade into the High Priest's garb. “Seto?”
Seth smiled down at her and shook his head. “No, my lovely Aria…..call me Seth.”
****Vision****
Seth leaned into her and kissed her gently on the lips. She closed her eyes and watched the Study melt away into a large room with sheer, white curtains.
“You are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined,” he whispered, pulling back from the kiss.
She reached out for Seth, pulling him closer and kissing him deeply. She could feel Seth's hands run up and down her back, her body heating up under the High Priest's touch. A soft moan escaped her as she felt Seth's hands run up her side. His gentle fingertips swept lightly against her skin.
Aria whimpered into the kiss as the High Priest leaned down, allowing her to lay on the satin sheets. He leaned beside her and cupped her left breast in his hand lovingly.
“You have a body worthy of a goddess,” Seth whispered to her, placing little kisses along her neck.
Aria touched the High Priest's cheek lightly. “You are my protector, Seth. You are the one I'd die for. I will not allow that pharaoh to harm you in any way.”
Seth smiled down at her. “You are my goddess. I am your servant.”
Aria smiled up at the High Priest. “The pharaoh wants an heir, my lord. Let us create an heir that the pharaoh will never forget.”
The High Priest leaned down and kissed her……
****End Vision****
Seto opened his eyes and looked down at Aria in horror. He turned and saw him cupping Aria's breast in his hand. Aria opened her eyes wide and saw Seto laying on top of her. She looked down and Seto pulled his hand back with a startled gasp.
“Aria!” Seto gasped, rushing to get off of her.
“Seto!” Aria gasped, sitting up quickly and backing away.
Seto breathed heavily and whimpered as he felt his pants becoming suddenly too tight. “Aria, I am so sorry!”
Aria pulled up the strap of her dress. “What the hell? Did we get caught in another vision?”
“I think so….I couldn't stop it….I tried to, Aria! I really tried to!”
Aria blushed and stood up. “I don't know what happened…..I suddenly couldn't control myself, either.”
Aria and Seto exchanged uncomfortable glances. Seto struggled to stand up and he returned to his seat.
“Aria…..forgive me. I am very sorry for…..touching….your……umm……body like that.”
Aria took a deep breath. “I really tried to stop it, too, Seto. I couldn't stop. When those visions hit…..I can't stop.”
Seto looked up at Aria. “Don't blame yourself. This is something that we just have to control as best as we can.”
Aria nodded. “I really do try.”
Seto stood up and walked over to her. He hugged her and sighed. “I know. You might be Bakura's daughter, but you are still like a niece to me. You'll always be the little girl I bounced on my knee and carried on my back when we would play together.”
Aria smiled. “Do you mean that?”
“I sure do, Aria. You're special to me….I just wish I could control these visions of mine.”
“I won't let them get the best of me, Seto. I love Umi and I will not let this get in my way of loving my husband and my children.”
Seto pat her cheek. “Good girl. You had better go grab Kai. It's getting late.”
“Yes, you're right. Keep fighting, Seto. These visions are bound to go away sooner or later,” Aria said, kissing his cheek.
Aria walked down the hallway and Seto sighed. “Hopefully they go away sooner, rather than later.”
*************************************
Robbie watched as Aten crossed in front of the television. His husband yawned as he staggered to the kitchen. As Aten passed, he could hear his husband wheezing again. Aten wrapped two bathrobes around him and was shivering.
“Aten, are you cold?” Robbie asked. “Should we turn on the heat?”
Daniel shook his head. “It's nice outside.”
Robbie stood up and walked to the kitchen. Aten was looking up at the cabinets. “What are you looking for?”
Aten turned to Robbie and shivered. “Hungry……”
“Do you want me to make something for you?”
Aten looked around, his eyes examining the countertop. Robbie stood beside him and watched Aten's facial expression.
`He looks confused…..'
“Aten, what do you want to eat?”
“Cereal……”
Robbie reached up and opened a cabinet. “Here is the cereal. What kind do you want?”
Aten squinted. “I can't see them. Robbie reached up and put the cereals on the counter. “We have Kix, Cheerios, and Raisin Bran. Any preference?” (I don't own these cereals, BTW.)
Aten picked up the Kix box and examined it intently. He opened his mouth and raised an eyebrow. “K----Ki---“
“Kix. It's pronounced `Kix'.”
Aten put down that box and picked up the Cheerios. His eyes looked over the box. Robbie listened to Aten's attempts to read the box.
“Aten, are you feeling okay?”
Aten turned to Robbie and blinked tiredly. “Headache.”
“Well, let's get some food in you and we can give you some Aspirin.”
“I want this,” Aten said, handing Robbie the Raisin Bran box.
Robbie nodded. “Okay. I'll get you a bowl.”
Robbie reached up and grabbed a bowl. He set it on the counter. “There you go. I'll get you some Aspirin.”
Robbie limped to the medicine cabinet and grabbed the Aspirin bottle.
Aten opened the box of cereal and poured some into the bowl, spilling some onto the counter. Robbie heard Aten turn on the tap water. A moment later, Aten started crunching the cereal.
“This don't taste right,” he said quietly.
Robbie limped over to Aten and saw he had put water in the cereal instead of milk. “Aten, you put milk in cereal, not water.”
Aten looked down at the cereal bowl. “…………Oh. I forgot.”
“Here, let me get you the milk.”
Robbie removed the milk from the refrigerator and set it on the counter. “Why don't you sit down, Aten? I'll take care of this.”
“I want to help.”
Robbie held Aten's arm to help him pour the cereal into the bowl. He also helped Aten hold the bottle of milk to pour it into the bowl. “There we go, Aten.” Robbie handed Aten a spoon and sat at the table with him. “Sorry about your headache. Here, here's two Aspirin.”
“The right side of my head really hurts.”
“Did you eat today?”
Aten nodded. “I did.”
“Did you eat anything sugary?”
“No. I eat what I normally do.”
Robbie sat back in his chair. “Well, Dr. Zira will check your blood sugar and we'll see if that has anything to do with it.”
Aten nodded and ate his cereal. “This tastes better with milk,” he said.
“Well, yeah, cold cereal doesn't taste too good with water. Milk is much better.”
Aten yawned and looked up at Robbie. “Can we go to bed?”
“Umm…sure. I'll be up in a few minutes.”
Robbie watched Aten leave the kitchen and he took Aten's plate to the sink. He wiped up the counter and put the cereal box away. He went to his father.
“Aten and I are going to bed, dad.”
“Okay. You boys have a good night's sleep.”
“Hey, dad? Aten was complaining of a headache….and he put water in his cereal instead of milk.”
Daniel sighed. “He did seem a little confused today. Maybe he's just having an off day.”
“Dad? Do you…..do you think that Aten is really dying?”
Daniel put down his newspaper. “Son, everything dies. As far as I heard from your mother, Aten was diagnosed with a terminal disease.”
Robbie nodded. “Yes…..”
“I remember when my mother was dying. She was very confused towards the end. She couldn't recognize anyone…..even me.”
“It's hard……knowing that this is happening….and I can't do anything to stop it.”
“Son? Times get hard. Take it one day at a time.”
Robbie nodded. “I know, dad. It doesn't make it easier.”
“No, it won't. We all face tests, Robert. This is a test of your faith and patience. You're a good kid. I know that you will be strong when the time finally comes.”
“How can I be strong? Knowing that Aten is dying and there is nothing I can do about it? Knowing that one morning I could wake up and find him dead next to me?”
Daniel sighed and nodded. “You have to believe that everything will work out for the best, even if things look bleak. You are learning some tough lessons, Robbie. When Angel died, I wondered why, too. When Christa died of cardiomyopathy, I asked why, too. Those days were not easy. We lost our baby girl and here the doctors were telling us that you would never be able to walk. Operation after operation failed on your foot. Things were very difficult. But, you know what, Robert, you proved those doctors wrong. You were eventually able to walk by yourself without much help. When I first saw you taking your first baby steps after I returned from duty, nothing could have made me happier. It didn't bring your sister back, but my hopes for you brightened. Things were looking better. So you see, Robbie, things may look rough now….but in the end, you will be stronger for it all.”
Robbie wiped away a tear. “I guess…..I guess it didn't hit me until now.”
Daniel stood up and hugged his son. “Don't give up.”
Robbie hugged his father back tightly. “I won't.”
“Robbie? Are you coming to bed?”
“Coming, Aten! Thank you, dad.”
Daniel pat Robbie's back. “I'm proud of you. Go get him, tiger.”
Robbie chuckled and limped up the stairs with his cane. “I just have to brush my teeth, Aten! I'll be there in a few.”
Robbie brushed and flossed his teeth quickly. He limped into the room and saw two white and black votive candles lit beside the bed.
“The black candle absorbs negative energies,” Aten said, covering his eyes with his hand.
“What about the white?”
“It helps support positive energies,” Aten responded. “This headache is awful.”
Robbie removed his shirt and pants. “Well, it is pretty dim in here. If the lights were on, it would be worse in here.”
“I don't want to think about light,” Aten groaned.
Robbie slipped into bed and pulled the covers over him. Aten turned and buried his face in Robbie's chest. “My head is just throbbing….”
Robbie kissed Aten's forehead and ran his fingers through Aten's hair. He pet Aten's hair lightly, listening to Aten whimper.
“Just relax, Aten….I'm right here.” Robbie felt a tear fall on his chest. “Aten?”
“It feels like knives in my skull,” he whimpered.
Robbie sighed, taking a deep breath. “The Aspirin will work, Aten. We have to give it time to get through your system.”
Aten sighed, keeping his face pressed against his husband. “It's been a long time since they have been this bad.”
“I know. It has been a long time,” Robbie said, continuing to pet Aten. “Just relax.”
Aten sighed as he rested his head against Robbie's chest. “Robbie? Can we do something tomorrow night?”
“Are you sure? I'm a little concerned about you, Aten.”
“How so?” he asked with a yawn.
Robbie let his fingers bury themselves in Aten's soft hair. “Well…..for starters, you put water in your cereal.”
“Oh….that. I guess my headache was worse than I thought,” Aten said, slowly rubbing Robbie's chest.
Robbie held Aten close to him. “Are you sure that's all it is?”
“Yes, that's all,” Aten said quietly, rubbing Robbie's chest slower.
Both teens remained quiet as the candles burned beside the bed. Aten felt Robbie's breath against his hair. Robbie's heartbeat was slow as his head rested on his lover.
“Robbie?”
Robbie sniffled. “Yes, Aten?”
Aten opened his mouth to speak, but found it difficult to speak. “Do you plan on marrying again after I die?”
Robbie wiped his eye dry. “No, Aten. I'm not going to marry again when you pass away.”
Aten lifted his head and looked into Robbie's blue eyes. “Why not?”
“Because…..I don't want to be with anyone else.”
“What if you found somebody you liked and grew to love them? Would you marry them, then?”
Robbie sniffled and wiped his eye again. “No. I don't want to take another partner.”
“Why do you cry?”
“Why shouldn't I?”
Aten leaned over and kissed Robbie's tear. “I don't want to see you cry. It breaks my heart to see you cry.”
Robbie reached up and touched Aten's cheek. “I love you, Aten. I'm going to stay loyal to you.”
“I want you to be happy, Robbie. If that means you find somebody else, then I think you should go for it.”
“Aten, no. I won't.”
Aten brushed back a lock of Robbie's curly black hair. “Thank you for helping me tonight.”
Robbie smiled. “Anytime, baby.”
Aten leaned into Robbie and kissed him slowly and deeply. His hands roamed over Robbie's chest slowly, feeling Robbie's skin heat up beneath his fingertips. Robbie wrapped his arms around Aten and held him close. Aten's heart beat against Robbie's chest erratically. Robbie's fingers rubbed down Aten's back and glided over his bare right buttock. He rubbed up Aten's spine and over the deep scars on Aten's back.
The Egyptian teen kissed down Robbie's jaw and peppered his neck with tiny, soft kisses. He slowly shifted and straddled Robbie's hips, kissing Robbie's neck. Robbie reached up and rubbed Aten's shoulders, moving slowly down his sides and to his legs. He rubbed Aten's thighs and touched Aten's hips.
Aten pulled back a little and kissed Robbie's forehead. “If you want…..”
“What about your headache? Are you sure you just want to go to sleep?”
Aten grinned. “What do you want?”
Robbie sat up and kissed Aten on the lips, holding his lover close. Aten shifted so his body pressed against Robbie's. The Egyptian rocked against Robbie's body, rubbing his arousal against Robbie's.
Aten chuckled as he pulled back. “My headache isn't as bad now. Thank you.”
Robbie snickered. “Well, I'm glad your head doesn't ache anymore. I'm starting to feel a little ache of my own, if you know what I mean.”
“Feeling's mutual,” Aten giggled.
Robbie reached below, touching Aten lightly and slowly. “Let me know if you want me to stop, Aten.”
Aten nodded and wrapped his arms around Robbie's shoulders. He rested his head on Robbie's shoulder as he felt Robbie's hand wrap around him. He closed his eyes, inhaling the sweet scent of Robbie's cologne. His fingers slipped through Robbie's curly, black hair.
Robbie kissed the side of Aten's neck and his shoulder. His hands slipped under Aten and began to rub him carefully so as not to startle or injure him.
The teen felt Aten drop one of his arms and slip between the two of them. The timid hand began to touch his arousal.
“It's okay, Aten. Do what you want to do.”
Aten wrapped his hand around Robbie's arousal and began to stroke him slowly. “I know.”
Robbie kissed Aten's ear. “I love you, Aten. You will always be important to me….no matter what happens. We'll face this together.”
The Egyptian pulled back and swallowed hard, sweat beginning to form on his face. “Together…..I'll never really leave you, Robbie.”
Robbie closed his eyes and whimpered at the pleasure his lover gave him. “I'll never be with anyone else, Aten.”
Aten smiled down at his husband and closed his eyes as his lower body was touched and massaged. He found himself pressing himself more against Robbie as his body reveled in the erotic sensations spreading through him.
Tiny whimpers escaped his partner as he pressed closer against him.
The Egyptian reached into the side table and removed a small bottle. He shivered a little. “Robbie, it's a little chilly. Do you mind if I have the covers over me while I…..you know?”
Robbie leaned back. “Do anything you want, Aten. If you're cold, I can hold the covers above you.”
Aten leaned over and kissed Robbie's lips. The tender kisses dropped slowly across Robbie's chest and down to his belly button. “Leave the covers off until I give them to you.”
“Okay, baby.”
Aten kissed Robbie's belly and laid his head there, closing his eyes. `I'm going to do this……' His hands continued to rub Robbie, who had gripped his pillow with both hands and was squeezing the pillow tightly. The teen was whimpering and moaning against the pillow, his hips raising slightly into Aten's hand.
The Egyptian kissed Robbie's curls and up his arousal, stopping at the tip. He closed his eyes and swallowed around Robbie.
“Aten……baby…..”
Aten sucked on Robbie's arousal lightly, letting his tongue lap against the sensitive skin. His hand opened the bottle of oil. He coated two fingers with it and slipped one finger into Robbie. The teen squeezed his eyes tightly at the unexpected intrusion and he gasped.
Aten pulled back. “Did I hurt you?”
Robbie shook his head. “No…..it's okay. Keep going.”
Aten kissed the tip of Robbie's arousal as he slipped the finger in as deep as it could go. Robbie moaned as he felt Aten's finger close to his prostate. He lifted his hips up as the mixture of pleasure and pain flooded his senses.
The Egyptian kissed down Robbie's length, letting his lips kiss the tender veins just beneath the flesh. As he looked up, he saw Robbie's white skin turning red from the rising heat of passion. He gave a little smile and slipped a second finger into his lover carefully. Robbie squeezed his eyes tight and grit his teeth.
“This part always gets me,” Robbie grunted.
“I know it's not easy, Robbie. I'll try to be as careful as I can.”
Robbie nodded. “I know, Aten. Do whatever you need to.”
Aten swallowed around Robbie and closed his eyes again. His free hand rose up towards Robbie's chest, rubbing and touching the white, creamy skin. Robbie looked down and placed his open hand on Aten's hand. He rubbed Aten's hand gently and kissed each fingertip.
Robbie moaned, bucking against his lover.
Aten pulled back and grinned down at Robbie. He kissed up to Robbie's belly button and used his tongue to lick up to Robbie's neck. Aten grinned down at Robbie and stroked his cheek.
“I'm glad to see your headache is gone,” Robbie said with a smile.
Aten shivered as the night air chilled his sweaty body. “Thanks to you.”
Robbie pulled the comforter up to Aten's shoulders. “I don't want you to catch a chill.”
Aten leaned over and kissed Robbie deeply, reaching below himself to position himself and guide himself into Robbie. Robbie winced and held Aten close as he felt Aten's body enter him and slide carefully inside.
Aten kissed Robbie's lips. “Almost there, Robbie….I'm sorry.”
“It's okay,” Robbie nodded as he brought Aten's head down to kiss him. A tear fell down Robbie's cheek as he kissed Aten deeply. `How much longer will I have him around? How many more times will we be able to make love before…….before…..?'
Aten hugged Robbie as he finished pressing inside him. “Robbie? Robbie, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?”
Robbie sniffled and held Aten close. He wrapped his legs around Aten's waist to prevent him from leaving. “Don't leave…..”
“Robbie?”
Robbie trembled as he held Aten close to him. `It's been so long since he's been able to keep an erection for even this long……..There's been so many times where he just goes limp….or goes into a panic attack while we make love.”
“I want you so bad, Aten….I love you so much. I….I wish I could tell you….what I'm feeling right now. But…..it's hard to say it.”
Aten wiped away Robbie's tear with his thumb. “I know you are upset, Robbie.”
Robbie sniffled. “Did….Can I ask you a question?”
“Go on.”
“Did you take your ED pill before I came to bed?”
Aten nodded. “I took that pill and my heart medications. Without it….I…we wouldn't be able to do this.”
Robbie rubbed his eye. “Did you plan on us doing this?”
“Just in case,” Aten grinned down at him. “I did it as a precaution.”
Robbie giggled. “Nice planning.”
The Egyptian leaned down and kissed Robbie, slowly moving inside his lover. Robbie thrust against his husband, holding onto him. Aten's forehead was covered in sweat as he moved slowly. “Robbie, you feel so good….it's been so long since we've been together like this.”
“I know, Aten. I hope you're enjoying yourself.”
“How could I not?” he asked with a smile, holding himself up with his thin, bony arms. He moaned as he felt himself thrust deeper into Robbie and heard his lover gasp and arch his back in ecstasy.
Aten slipped inside slowly, pressing deeper and against that spot that made Robbie arch his back and whimper in pleasure.
“That's it, Aten….don't stop….please, don't stop,” Robbie moaned as his cheeks turned red.
“I won't stop…..I….I can't stop,” Aten moaned as he thrust harder against Robbie's body.
The mattress creaked with their thrusting rhythms. Their heavy breathing collided as the candles beside the bed flickered. Their moans and whimpers of pleasure filled the dim room.
Aten took one of Robbie's legs and placed it on his shoulder, continuously slamming inside Robbie. Robbie reached down and touched himself as his husband sent waves of pleasure coursing through his body.
Aten closed his eyes as he let himself feel everything around him. The darkness of the room at one time had added to his distress. But he remembered: this was Robbie. Robbie was submitting to him. Robbie was safe. With the candles going, he was able to focus on Robbie completely. Through the candlelight, Aten could see Robbie's back arched and his head thrown back in passion. His exposed throat showed through the darkness. Aten leaned down to give Robbie's left nipple a tiny lick.
The teen bucked against his husband on top, touching himself and thrusting his hips into his hand.
“Robbie…..I'm…..”
“It's okay, Aten….it's me….don't stop…..don't lose it….”
Aten shook his head. “No….I won't lose it….” Aten squinted his eyes tightly as he grit his teeth.
Robbie began to tremble as his body struggled to hold himself back.
“I can't….” Aten leaned down and kissed Robbie's lips.
Aten plunged into Robbie, releasing hard into his husband. Aten continued to thrust into Robbie, pounding his release into the body below him.
Robbie wrapped his one arm around Aten, holding him close. He thrust up hard, releasing between himself and his lover.
Robbie's leg fell off of Aten's shoulder as he panted heavily, his lungs drawing oxygen into them quickly. Aten wrapped his arms around Robbie and wheezed from the exertion.
“Breathe, Aten…..breathe.”
“I……am,” he panted.
Robbie nuzzled Aten with his cheek. “Thank you.”
The Egyptian kissed Robbie's lips and slowly caught his breath. He rested his head against Robbie's chest and held him tightly.
The candles' light began to dim as they caught their breath.
“Aten? Do you feel any better?”
Aten nodded quietly. “Do you?”
Robbie nodded. “Yes. I'm…..I'm glad we were able to do this.”
“I'm glad I was able to….perform for you?”
Robbie giggled. “You always make me feel good, Aten.”
Aten shifted his hips and removed himself slowly from Robbie's body. He laid beside Robbie and cuddled against him. Robbie yawned, struggling to keep his eyes open. Aten's breath brushed across his skin. The Egyptian pulled the comforter over himself and his partner.
“Are you cold, Aten? You're shivering?” Robbie touched Aten's arm and felt his skin had become cooler and cooler. He tucked the comforter around Aten and snuggled him closer.
Aten nodded and trembled.
Aten nodded and trembled.
Robbie rubbed Aten's arm and his back, hoping the friction would warm him up again. “I've never heard of someone's temperature dropping so fast.”
“Ju-Just C-Cold. The com—comforter helps.”
The two teens huddled together until the candle's light extinguished. When the smoke floated into the air after the light had faded, Robbie continued to hold his husband in his arms. It wasn't long before Aten's quiet snoring was heard in the dark.
Robbie kept his eyes open as he felt Aten's heartbeat slow as he slept. His warm breath brushed across his white skin while his lover slept.
Robbie's POV
I wonder how much longer Aten will be by my side…..
It's so rare that Aten can gain an erection and keep it.
It makes me glad to know that I still have Aten…
He's here….I can feel him….touch him….I can smell his cologne…..
He's really here with me…..
I can't keep believing that nothing is wrong, though…..
It's hard to watch someone you love die.
I've never had to see it. I was too young to remember Christa. I didn't know Angel at all, either.
I don't want Aten to die on me….
It's going to take a lot of care and patience for me to take care of Aten.
Marik entrusted him to me. He trusted me to take care of Aten and love him until the end.
Running my fingers through his hair, it makes his presence more real.
After Aten's gone…..what will I have?
When Aten dies….what will happen?
What I told him is true….I'll never take another spouse.
My loyalty lies with Aten….it always will.
When Aten's gone, I won't have him….I won't have anything left.
I'll have the money from his paintings, but that happens only if he doesn't spend it on hospital bills and tests. I'm not interested in the money, though.
When Aten dies…….the only person who meant anything to me will be gone.
What then?
