Violet eyes gazed behind one last time, absorbing the details of the barren and ruined world. For a moment it was almost serene, the jagged remains of buildings as dawn rose over the sea towards the ashen and purpled sky. The light reflected off gold and into his eyes, snapping the male back into attention before he ran back to the safety of the shadows, down beneath the surface. He winced at the blaring siren that gave warning, and almost succeeded in drowning out his companion's voice over the speaker as he sprinted through the underground cemetery. " Ishtar get your ass here now! We have to go!" the voice hissed with almost hollow irritation.

The Egyptian sucked in his gut and put more power in his veins as the roar of explosions were heard none to far behind him. He growled with rage, disappearing behind near sealed titanium doors, blonde hair streaming behind him into the light. "I was going to leave you behind, If I hadn't so much faith in your abilities." Blue eyes glared at the punctually challenged young man.

"Kiss my ass. We have more things to worry about than that. He followed me. If we are going, we go now!" the young Ishtar growled at the disheveled brunette before pushing past him.

Kaiba hissed darkly at his companion as the lights flickered. Those demons were close and he had no time to lose. This was his...no...their...only hope to undo the world of darkness. Fingers flew quickly over keys, routing all power towards the two seated pod Malik had sat in. The former CEO ran, jumping into the pod as he heard the growls of those soul sucking parasites upon the safety door. "All power has been routed to the machine. All systems green." he said automatically before starting the module.

Malik's eyes widened as the door was torn open, and the demons fought to fit inside. He clutched the metal objects around his chest and prayed to the gods with tightened eyes, not noticing the sounds of those rage filled growls fade into the light that surrounded them, nor the relieved sigh of his companion.
