Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Returning Memories ❯ Returning Memories ( Chapter 3 )
Title: Returning memories
Author: Jinhito
Summary: For right now I'm just kinda going along with what happens but here's the break down... Yami's starting to have strange dreams. Somehow Yugi's connected to them. But how? Yugi wasn't alive back then in Egyptian days right? Then why do things start to make sense in a twisted logical way? Slash {yaoi} pairing(s) Yami/Yugi others later announced.
Jinhito: =D Good times! People like it! Yesh! I was actually kinda worried when posting up the second chapter... thought it got a little too fluffy for some people... maybe it did but I found it amusing! *snickers at Yami's pain* ^.^ But I'm glad you all like it.
//.¬ : Though, some people don't like your cliffhangers and short postings...
Jinhito: I know... I'm sorry.... u.u To be honest, the shortness is due to the way I write this. I'm not writing it like author's usually do. This is done in my free time during school hours... or boring classes like *coughs* honors english! *coughs* Stupid boring class...
//.- : Well, at least you're not failing that class, so you must be learning something...
Jinhito: What you talkin' 'bout!? *baps him* I got an A in that class! (Okay, well, really a B but since it's an honors class it counts as an A in academic classes =P)
//.# : ...ow...
Jinhito: So yeah, now onto thanking my reviewers... Jack Scarlett thank you so much for reviewing and dun worry, if my classes continue at their boring rate I might even have a series going on here. To Yugilover13, thank you for reviewing also... comments help my ego... *smiles stupidly*
//.n : Heavens knows that doesn't need to be inflated any more. *snickers at his sarcastic joke*
Jinhito: *baps him again* Hey now! That's unfair and untrue!
//.@ : Ow...
Jinhito: Anyway... Demi! *glomps her friend* lol I know you dun watch Yu-Gi-Oh but thanks for reviewing and proof-reading my second chapter. Your opinion means so much to me... And sarah85 thank you for your comments and criticism... I fixed my second chapter if you noticed! ^.^ I doubled spaced my paragraphs. So hopefully it made it easier for people to read. And to the very Anonymous reviewer... thanks for your nice comments... Skye, you're not demanding, so this is also for you because if it weren't for people like you who constantly need to yell at me to write, I'd never update. ^.~ So thanks. OtakuChild this is also for you, please enjoy this chapter, because it's for the reviewers like yourself. And to my currently, very last reviewer who I'll call reviewer A... (dun worry I also hardly ever log in to sign reviews... power to the lazy people!) I never really meant anything behind "...never again...," but hell! Let it mean what it will to you! Originally I put it there because I wanted Yami to say something that meant he never wanted to be obstructed in anyway from his Yugi. (pauses for a moment for people to go aw) And Yami just kinda spaced out there because in my fic, I dun think he'd ever really want to show Yugi his anger so he'd just kinda be seething... hence the "spacing out." And I also realized the shortness of my chapters... hopefully English will be more boring tomorrow so I can write you guys lots more. Woah! Sorry this took up so much space guys onto the story! Trowa!
//.~ : *snores*
Jinhito: *baps him* Wake up you baka! This is no time to be sleeping! Disclaimer! >.<
//.u : *yawns* Jinhito doesn't own anything that has to deal with Yu-Gi-Oh, anyway her quote is that sharing is only fun when it's not your stuff 'cuz she owns nothing except her idea of the fic and maybe an original character she adds in here or there... Now then... back to sleep, 'cuz she talks too much... *mumbles incoherently and passes back out*
Jinhito: Argh... *growls* Lazy good for nothing muse... ugh, well onto the story, please enjoy and please review? Reviews make me work faster! Oh yeah, this is still a yaoi fic... blah blah blah you know the rules right? Good... read on!
Chapter 3
Returning Memories
Yugi stood also and grabbed Yami's arm. "You don't have to leave Yami... if you don't want to..." he looked away, lightly blushing.
Yami chuckled to himself and shook his head from side to side. 'How can anyone be so innocent? Aibou, you are priceless...' he silently thought, allowing Yugi to drag him farther into the room. Yugi left him and sat down on his vacant bed. His hand finding it's way back to the very disgruntled kuriboh. The little monster warbled in pleasure as his master's hands returned to it's furry head. Yugi looked up expectantly at his darker half, patiently waiting for him to sit down also. Yami flashed a rare smile, the kind he shared with Yugi when they were alone, and joined his Aibou on the bed.
"Yugi..." Yami slyly noted, "If I didn't know better... I'd say you were blushing..." The remark only causing Yugi's current flush to deepen into a darker shade of magenta. 'So cute," Yami thought reaching out to grasp his Aibou's hand within his own, and giving it a light squeeze.
Yugi looked up to his yami, "So what do you want to do to now?" He hoped he wasn't still blushing.
Yami shook his head, "We'll discuss it tomorrow Aibou. Right now, you need your rest. So it's off to sleep with you."
"But I'm... not tired..." Yugi tried to protest but was interrupted by a yawn.
Yami laughed out loud. //Your body language tells me different...//
/S'not fair... it's helping you win./ Yugi whined through their link.
//Don't make me have to repeat myself that you need sleep...// Yami warned.
Yugi pouted momentarily, but brightened when he got an idea. /Well Yami... I'll go to bed, but only on one condition.../ he said as he wiggled a little closer to his yami. 'I can't believe I'm doing this!' he chided himself silently.
//And what would that be Aibou?// Yami asked slightly strained. His light was so close... he felt himself getting nervous for some reason. 'Why do I feel nervous?'
Yugi giggled and reached onto the night stand next to the bed to grab his duel deck. He thumbed through the deck until he found the card he'd been looking for. A loud warble and quicksilver flash later, the kuriboh he'd been petting had been restored to his proper place on a duel monster card. 'Now there's nothing to hide behind... here goes...' /Well Yami... only if.../ he dragged out as he returned his attentions back towards his Yami. 'He looks very uncomfortable for some reason... why?' Yugi absently wondered.
//Only if what Aibou?// Yami asked needing to know the answer.
/Only if you stay here with me tonight. I don't want to be alone.../ The look that was present on Yugi's face was heart wrenching. He worried his lower lip gently between his teeth as he awaited his yami's response. 'Please don't leave me Yami... Please don't reject me...'
//Oh Aibou... I-I couldn't...//
/Yami... please? Please... don't leave me here all alone.../ Silver crystalline tears pooled in Yugi's wide lavender eyes as he pleaded with his other half. 'Oh not you too Yami... don't leave me...'
Yami couldn't help but visibly wince when the look on Yugi's face deepened. It pained him to see his hikari like this. But he had to be certain... he had to make sure. //Aibou...? Are you sure?// he questioned through their link. 'If it were up to me Yugi, I'd never leave you alone... but I fear that I might do something... something terrible... I don't want to become again what I once was. Not now, not ever.' Yugi shut his eyes and nodded, the tears descended down his cheeks, the streaking trails showing clearly in the room's light. Yugi leaned over to his Yami and wound his arms around his yami's waist. He couldn't have thought of a better gesture to make his stay. //Then you don't ever have to be alone again Yugi... I promised you, you remember? When you first solved the millennium puzzle, didn't I promise you something?//
/Hai.. that you'd always be here... that I wouldn't have to be scared... not anymore./ Yugi sniffled and looked up as he felt gentle hands wipe away his tears. "Thanks Yami." he sniffed out as he returned to nuzzling Yami's chest.
//No, thank you Aibou...//
/For what Yami?/
//For finally trusting me this much...// Yami sighed and leaned back into the bed, bringing his Aibou with him as they tumbled gently onto the sheets. Yugi exhaled softly as he snuggled up closer to darker half. Yami would be there... he'd always be there... Yami once again returned his attentions back to Yugi's smaller form. //Uhm.. Aibou?//
Yugi openly yawned but refused to move from his warm spot. /Hm? Something wrong Yami?/
//Uh... yeah... can you turn off the lights?// he asked rather sheepishly, looking around the room for the source of the light. Even though his search did end quite inconclusively. There apparently wasn't a lamp that was giving off the light. So where was it coming from!? 'Very peculiar indeed...'
/Oh... yeah... oops... uhm... Lights off?/ Yugi asked through the link forgetting he wasn't talking out loud.
"Aibou, I think you need to say light off-" suddenly the room went pitch black. Quiet snickering was heard in the room from Yugi. Yami simply growled in annoyance. //Oh hush Aibou.// And sleep claimed them both soon after.

(beginning a dream or flashback)
Everything was dark... nothing could be distinguished in the blackened room. Far off voices grew nearer as the scene lightened a bit. Still, it were as if everything were behind an ebony curtain. A determined voice spoke up in defiance to another as they strode nearer.
"No! Absolutely not! I want nothing to do with him! I hate him! Never! I refuse!" a shadowy figure shouted to the other.
A softer sweeter voice, that of a girl no doubt, tried to reason with the other, "But you must at least try... please don't do this... you know it'll do you no good save a beating or even death! Do you honestly want to die!? Please don't throw your life away... Your grandfather wouldn't be any better off with you gone..." the same person walked forward and embraced their distraught counterpart.
The first, however, took in a deep breath to continue the argument but instead exhaled it when he it realized it was pointless to argue. He instead released a loud anguished sob. It was obvious he was crying. "...I-I miss him so much... why? WHY!? Why did they have to take him away from me!? Why!?" he cried out to the other. The sobbing continued and soon the voices faded off into nothingness. Leaving the room once again dank and silent.

(ending a dream or flashback)
Jinhito: O.O Hot damn! I got another chapter done! Wooho! I did it! Yeah! And I even managed to put in another little cliffhanger. It's not as bad as the first two but hey, I still like it. Maybe I'll get more reviews hm?
//.o;; : You are aware that if you look at your written records, you actually cut out a lot of paragraphs.
Jinhito: Bah! It was basically just Yami and Yugi beating around the bush with the obvious. I dun think they would have liked to read three pages of that. 'Sides, I like it better this way! n.n Don't you?
//.- : Whatever...
Jinhito: Yes well, what will happen next? (to be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure =P) This just kinda came out as I typed so yeah... I'll work on it more tomorrow... but not in english... I have to type up a stupid essay about how to make something. Man I'm so stupid when it comes to special purpose paragraph writing. Everyone pray for Jinhito... she's as stupid as a stump when it comes to essays. X.x
//.^ : *snickers*
Jinhito: What's so funny?
//.o : Oh nothing... lol
Jinhito: What's so funny Trowa!?
//.^ : It had to deal with your stupid stump comment! lol It was so funny...
Jinhito: *baps him* You can be so mean Trowa...*blows him a raspberry* You know what I meant by stupid... Meanie.
//.@ : Ugh... ja ne minna-san, we're off to bed... School's tomorrow... please review and let us know what you think alright?
Jinhito: Yes please! I love reviews... And thanks again to my previous reviewers... hope you liked this chapter... G'night ya'll! *waves*
//.n : Night minna-san!
