Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Revenge ❯ Revenge ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Rain: I just had a sudden urge to write a songfic, and I figured I should do a songfic that ends well for Ryou to make up for the torture I put him through in my other fic, Nothing I can do.

I'm gonna tell you something you don't wanna hear
You never listen when I talk

Maybe you'll listen when I walk
So I made
my mind up and made a sandwich
And I didn't shed a tear

Bakura was gone. Again.

As Ryou stared around at the now empty apartment he felt an uncharacteristic anger surge through him.

How dare Bakura treat him like this? Like something to be used and disposed of?

Before he realized what he was doing he had begun packing his stuff, quickly, and efficiently.

When he did realize what he was doing he didn't bother to stop.

I gave you one last minute of my time
In this mess I left behind
When you come home tonight
And turn on the light

Don't you be surprised to find

He emptied the house of money (it was all his anyway) but left the rotten milk and old bread. Today would be shopping day, if Ryou had any intention of staying.

In the bathroom he paused in front of the mirror. His mind flicked back to Yugi before he had vanished.

Yugi had looked nothing like his Yami. He had grown his hair out, and grown a bit, but his face and his eyes had told a different story then Yami could even comprehend.

Figuring his hair for a minute, he walked out of the bathroom and returned with a pair of scissors.

My little good-byes
E
mpty hangers by the closet door
Lipsti

My little good-byes

A few minutes later he smiled at his handy work.

His hair came down to around his ears, and his eyes told a story rather close to Yugi's had.

Pausing only to make reservations for a flight to America, he dragged his bag over to the door and stopped.

Then he grabbed a hammer.

Unpaid bills by the kitchen phone
I to
ok the Beatles, left Billy Joel
Lit
tle good-byes, little good-byes
He smashed the windows, he smashed the television, he smashed the kitchen appliances.

If it could be broken, it was.

Next he went to Bakura's bedroom, and started messing that up, too.

His CD's got scratched, his precious weapons thrown out the window, and his clothes burned.

His Yami would have to start his life from scratch.

Last, but not least, Ryou placed the bills and a large brown envelope on the floor.

Then he left.

And that was how Bakura found the place twenty minutes later. Noticing the envelope.

The first thing he saw was the letter in Ryou's hand writing, and then the ring. Hands now shaking, he opened the letter and began to read.

Dear Yami

I'm sure, you're sure I'll be back in just an hour or two

Take a look around. See anything missing?

You'll tape a Hallmark to my door
I don't mean me, of course.

They always said it better than you

I'm insignificant.

And if you're wondering

You may notice the damage, though.

When you're gonna hear from me

I won't say I'm sorry.

Well, take a real good look around boy
Because I'm not.

And it won't hard to see
And I'm not coming home.

When you come home tonight and turn on the light
Because I don't want to.

Don't you be surprised to find

You won't find me.

My little good-byes

Because I refuse to be found.

Took your favorite Dodger's hat

And I won't be your Hikari.

Left the litter, but I took the cat

Because I'm not an item to be claimed.

My little good-byes

Don't be surprised when you don't hear from me.

Loaded up the TV in the back of my car

When I don't come crying back to you.

Have fun watching the VCR

Because reality can't be crueler then you.

Little good-byes, oh baby, little good-byes

You know the bills you called stupid? Have fun paying `em.

You know that food you eat? Have fun buying it.

Most of all, have fun doing the work required to have a life.

Sincerely,

Ryou.

So, cry to your mama
And your
sympathetic friends and tell'em
A
nd tell them how the story ends
Bakura stared around himself, clutching the ring in his hands, when he noticed something.

The CD player wasn't broken and appeared to be set halfway through a song.

Turning on the song, he just sat there, numb for the rest of the night.

My little good-byes
To
ok the hourglass, left the sand
Now you got time on your hands

My little good-byes
Took the statue from Japan
Funny little Buddha man

My little good-byes
Change my voice on the machine

Or there'll be l

My little good-byes

Left
the pictures and took the frame
I've got the umbrella
, here comes the rain
Yeah, yeah, yeah,

Little good-byes
