Yugi scowled at his reflection in the pond. He hated his darkness. Yami was just so mean! He didn't have to blow up in his face like that, he said he was sorry for being out so late a night; didn't he?

"Yugi! Hiya!" A female voice called out from behind him.

It was Rebecca Hawkins, a blonde-haired girl who'd grown up with Yugi. She had bright blue eyes and now wore glasses. She smiled sweetly, but her grin faltered when she saw his expression.

"What's the matter?" she asked while sitting down beside him.

The teenager shrugged helplessly, debating with himself if he should tell the girl beside him. "Rebecca…I…I came home late last night and Yami started yelling at me. I told him I was sorry, but he kept screaming!"

The blonde tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Well, are you upset he yelled at you?"

Yugi nodded, although a bit reluctantly at admitting it. "Hai, Iran out of the house. I've been sitting out here ever since."

The other gave a small, sympathetic grin. "Well, maybe you should wait for him to apologize or something?"

"Maybe…I want to run…forever…"

The teen beside him was startled. "W-what do you mean?"

Yugi threw his head back and simply laughed. His sudden change in mood had caught her off guard. The violet-eyed youth then sighed deeply and stared at the blue-eyed girl. He was trying to figure out a way to explain just what he meant by his earlier comment.

"I want to be…free. I want to run away, Rebecca. Care to join me?"

The female's eyes widened considerably. Was Yugi serious? Did he really want to run? She studied his expression; finally realizing he wasn't joking.

"O-okay. Let's go."

Yugi's pink lips turned upwards in a profound smirk. He eagerly nodded and stood up from the edge of the pond behind the Kame Game Shop.

"Let's grab our essentials and meet back here at midnight. Alright?"

Rebecca nodded, shaking slightly with excitement. Never before had she had the chance to do something such as this. She smiled lightly to herself and hurried to pack her belongings.

A/N: How was that one? I've had the idea stuck in my head for a long while. Don't worry though, it's Yami/Yugi. ^__^ I also threw some Seto/Jou in there.
