"Hey Kaiba." I greet, trying to look as happy a possible.(Which in my case is very hard to do.) "Hello Ryou," "What brings you he-!?" I noticed he was soaking wet. "Wow the rain started fast." I looked up at the sky, grey and purple clouds covered the sky. These kind of days always make me feel depressed. "Would you like to come in and dry off?" "No thanks," He answers. "I just came to give you this." He pulled something from his pocket, a piece of paper. "Do you know him? Because his last name is Bakura." I took the paper, and almost dropped dead, the man in the picture, was my own flesh and blood, my dead father. "T-that's my father. Yes." "It is but I thought-""So did I Kaiba that accident killed my mother and I was informed, he died also. Why do you have his picture?" "Because, he's running around with a M-16 and has shot over 7 people mainly kids 10-15." "W-what!? B-but that's impossible! I, I." "Ryou how did your mother and father die, you must tell me." "But I-," "TELL ME RYOU!" He grabbed me by the collar. "Alright, it happened 10 years ago when I was 4, my mother and father had sent me an artifact from Egypt and said they stay a little longer, when they finally got their flight there was a demented man who had taken so acid, oil and gasoline on to the plane, halfway home an electric wire broke where the man had stored his items and then the plane set on fire and blew up killing over 3,000 people." "R-Ryou I-," "When the artifact arrived at my house my care taker died suddenly after touching it and that was when I met Bakura, and got my first beat." "Uhhnn!" Kaiba's eyes narrowed, I felt Bakura stick a knife to my throat, he always had bad timing. "Bye Kaiba." I shut the door. "So Ryou, what was he doing here?" He asked in a chuckle as he dragged the knife from my throat, cutting so the blood gushed down my neck and down my shirt. "So," He licked idly at the knife. "That's how you're parents died. Umm unfortunate. Ah well if they could see their son I'm sure they'd blow up any way. " "Yes Bakura, I going upstairs." He watched as I went up the stairs, I went straight to my room, and locked the door. "That won't help." I sighed. "Miew?" "Yoshiko?" She was sitting on the windowsill. "Yoshiko," She let out a harsh bark, the type of warning bark. "Okay." I sat one the bed. Yoshiko jumped off and jumped on my lap. "You're interested in the millennium ring?" She gave me a nerves look and went back to the windowsill, teeth barred.

Part 5

I sat on my bed staring at the ceiling, Bakura was coming up I could feel it. Yoshiko's head shot to the door, as the doorknob rattled. "I'm back!" Bakura yelled as he burst in. He was going to do something bad, really bad. "Knew that dog was up here! And you tried to keep it from me." "Bakura it's just that," I couldn't think of any thing to say so I just waited for the kick or punch, but this time he picked me up by my coaler. I opened my eyes. "Uhh, what are you doing?!" He was dragging me to the window. "Off dog!" He picked up Yoshiko by the neck and looked at me. "Let this be a lesson to you; Always tell me your secrets!," He yelled eyes going cold and grey; he was actually going to do it. "! HAHAHAHA!" He tossed us out. "AHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed as I fell landing dead on my right shoulder, I heard a pair of boots running through the snow, and then I passed out.

Part 6

When I awoke I was soaking wet from the rain and my shoulder felt like it was going to set on fire. I got up, once again I heard the boots in the snow, it was very uncomfortable.

I looked down at Yoshiko, she looked alright but her eye was bloody. I walked down the street, trying to avoid peoples eyes as much as possible. I walked to the small drug store, hopefully they'd have something to help my shoulder. I went down the medication isle: Cough medicine, arthritis pain killer, heartburn. "Heartburn." I chuckled. Even though he'd just thrown me out the window I still loved him. I'm such a sap.

I continued to look through the medication. I only found one thing that came close to what I needed. Some arthritis pain killer for stiff shoulders. I got a bandage eye patch for Yoshiko. I went to the counter and paid for the items. Once outside I sat on a nearby bench and opened the eye patch. Yoshiko's eye was worse than I thought, I slipped the cloth like material over her dog ears and lined it with her right eye. Then I opened my medication it was a couple of capsules, I put one in my mouth; tasted like crap. I shivered as it went down my throat. Once some of the pain had gone I got up and started walking again, a little faster than before. Someone was following me, again I heard the boots. I was at the left side of Kaiba Corp. I turned around there was some guy dressed in a white furry cloak. Looked like polar bear fur. His face was scared (scar) and his eyes were narrow. "Father." I muttered as his blue hair blew in the wind. He pulled out his gun. "Curses." Was all I said before I fell into a shallow puddle, I wasn't out but I was down, I could feel the bullet near my collar bone. My stomach churned as I felt lead spreading through my body. "Ryou," My father whispered. "You never could take a punch." I looked up at him, a smile crept over his face. "But you always survived a beat, this time you won't. Hehehe." He put his foot on my head and shot me in the back then everything went blurry, the black.

Part 7

When I awoke I heard a lot of people talking. "Where the hell am I?" I asked. Everything was still blurry. "You're in the hospital of course!" I recognized that voice. "Mokuba?"

"The one and only. How do you feel?" "Mokuba leave Ryou alone." "Kaiba? Could you tell me what the hell is going on?" "Yes, you've been shot twice and have several broken and shattered bones. I thought I warned about the shooter." "Yeah but I got thrown out a window so I felt I should take a walk." I said sarcastically. "Pushed out a window? Ryou why do you never tell people about these things?" "What do mean `things'?" He'd most likely seen the X-ray on all body. Never get any peace when I go to the hospital. "Apparently the shooter only shot you, he didn't break any bones." "Yeah." I started fiddling with the millennium ring. "Tell me what happened to you Ryou!" "Nothing I just hurt myself when I was walking and stuff." "How do break or shatter almost w=every bone in your body if you take a walk!?" I saw the doctor come in. Thank God!"

"Sir if you continue to yell at the patient I'll have to ask you to leave." I heard Kaiba grumble then he went outside. "So Ryou, I going to have to ask you a few questions about how you broke all those bones." "What is the big deal I just shattered a few bones." I wasn't in the mood for all this, I have to get out of here. "Sir is are the bullets removed?" "Yes they are but there is a lot of lead in your body." "Well you know I think a guy just came in with his head in his hands so why don't you go help him and I'll be right here?" I was trying as best as I could to get rid of him. "Alright why don't you get some rest and I'll come back later." Yes he's gone! I got up and locked the door. I looked for anything I could use to run away. I found a black fur cloak like my dad's, some pain medicine, a couple of packets of crackers and a few water bottles. I took it all. I looked for a window the closet thin to a window was a balcony which was even better. I wasn't that high up. "Yoshiko." I whispered. She came darting out from under the bed. "Good girl!" I packed close to my chest and jumped off. So my run away began.
