`How does that song go? Just one of those days, when you don't wanna wake up. Everything is fucked, everybody sucks… Yup that's it.' Yugi sat at his desk, kissing it, so to speak. He had his head facedown on the cool wood to soothe his raging headache.
No, the horror of the day didn't end in the morning. Hell, morning wasn't even over and bad things just kept coming his way. Yugi sat up, he was wearing a uniform nearly three times his size. He sported a back eye with a matching lump to accent his forehead, but no hellish look could be complete without pink streaks in ones hair.
He groaned and laid his head down once again. He had thought getting up that morning would be a bad idea, a bad omen if you will. He went against his instincts and did so anyway, boy did he regret it.

After he had a `heart to heart' with Jou and his buddies that morning he walked all of three frickin' feet then tripped, hitting his eye on a rock, ouch. They reached the door to school and walked in… or for Yugi, walked INto the door to school. Somebody opened the door on Yugi's head sending him flat on his ass, double ouch. The guy apologized, while laughing, as him and Anzu helped Yugi back onto his feet. It was little reassurance to Yugi.
They made it through the door and Yugi shrugged the nagging woman off to go to his locker. He made it to his locker with enough time to get his stuff and get to class, but when he tried to open it the lock refused. After an annoying battle he got it opened then…

The vice-principal grilled him for at least twenty minute's demanding to know who did it. Yugi denied knowing who it was. (He is in love okay?) He finally got to class, missing his first subject as well as half the second, and everybody laughed at his appearance, even the teacher!

Why don't you and your `lackeys' go fuck amongst yourselves and leave Yugi alone!" All the students, save Honda, Otogi, Jou and Yugi, started whistling, making cat calls or said something along the lines of `she told you'.
"Shut up… Shut up! SHUT UP!" Yugi snapped and stood right in front of Anzu. "You don't always have to defend me! I'm tired of hearing you yell at everyone and baby me! Leave me alone!" Yugi glared infernos as Anzu bore a pained expression. The look faded as she steeled herself.
"I can't believe you! I am trying to help you and you throw it back in my face! Ungrateful jerk! Fine I will leave you alone, for good!" She picked her books up and went to an empty seat at the back of the class, away from Yugi and far right from Jou. Yugi sat down. He felt only shame and guilt, barely able to stop him self from crying.

Yugi walked down the halls the same way he did the whole day, like a zombie. Yelling at Anzu earlier today made him feel like shit and he didn't blame how she avoided him all day. He stared at his locker not really seeing it.

"Hey short guy you alright?" He finally heard the person calling him, and dreaded looking up. "Yo short-stuff I…" Yugi glared, he was in NO mood to suffer any more torture this day. He was in a mood that only killer feels before he claimed a victim.
"Jou get away from me now before you even open your mouth." Jou stepped back wide-eyed, Yugi never spoke like that before, never. He glanced around, people were watching. Jou didn't want anybody to see him wimp out. There was no way he would let them see him weak. Jou didn't get wigged out by anyone.
"Well half pint, I was gonna leave you be today, but since you asked so nicely…"
"Dog why don't you go lick your anus and leave us human people alone." Everybody turned to the new voice including Jou and Yugi.
"Kaiba!" Yugi stated with his eyes bulging out. Kaiba Seto the rich man, the boy at eighteen who owned his own computer software company, actually spoke to the common people. Everyone was dumfounded.
"Ka-Kaiba…" He stood at least five inches taller then the young blonde bully. Making him nearly two feet taller then Yugi.
"Mutt, be gone with you. Your… meaningless and tiresome antics have far gone to annoy my ears. Quiet now before I put a muzzle on you." Yugi was shocked.
`Kaiba wasn't… he isn't defending me? Is he?' Kaiba wasn't in school that day, heck, he misses school at least twice a week. A genius like him didn't need to be educated. The school would most likely let him not come at all if he so desired. All they need is his name on enrollment papers to count towards their school's academic stature as well as his test papers.
Jou didn't know what to do. Kaiba Seto had this sort of air of intimidation, like he could fuck you up and not getting any blood on his clothes, but Jou doesn't bow down. "Dog?! You're calling me a fucking animal?!"
"Humph. So like useless trash to have an obscene vocabulary." Never mind Yugi just said a no-no word.
"You smug ass! Ya practically walk around like you own the fucking world and ignore us like we don't even belong in your presence. Now you open your snooty mouth just…"
"You certainly aren't worth my time, I'm wasting precious seconds just talking to worthless excrement like you. Close your mouth before I loose my temper." Yugi was listening closely, Seto sounded no better then Jou talking like that. Only difference is Jou didn't use tactful words.
"You damn ass! Talking all big! All you think about is looking good and letting us know your better than anyone else! You're a real asshole! That's all you are!" Jou was a hypocrite to say the least, but Kaiba did seem self-centered.
By this time Yugi notice a big crowd, even a teacher or two were watching. `Why didn't they break them up before a fight breaks out?' Seto had on a uncaring, almost bored expression.
"I never heard such rubbish in all my life. As if you didn't consistently make trouble and put others down because you feel inadequate. Be silent you waste of oxygen. Does your daddy beat you and make you cry? Maybe you bitch of a mother yells at you for being useless, of course she would be right."
Kaiba was really going far, Yugi never heard someone sound so cold and cruel. Even Jou never teased him about his parents. People didn't notice it, but Jou looked like he was struck deeply. Yugi felt his blood boil and his patience snap. Why was no one stopping this? Why were the teachers just watching? 'WHY DID THEY CONTINUE TO LET JOU BE HURT BY THESE HARSH WORDS!?"

"You there! Mr.Hitaku, Mr.Sanshuka! Get him off of Kaiba!" The V.P. screamed to his teachers, but they stood there, out of fear or out of shock who knew. But someone did grab Yugi and pulled him away before he landed a punch on Seto.

The teachers finally came too, lifting a paralyzed Seto from the floor. "Mr. Motuo! I don't know what happened here, but I want a good explanation in my office now! On the double! You too Mr.Kaiba. NO EXCUSES!" The V.P. pushed through the students. "Everyone get to your lockers or leave. I want everyone to clear these halls, school is over!" People slowly walked away and Jou let Yugi go. Seto finally gained his head back and followed the V.P., checking his neck as he walked away. It was amazing how Yugi bit through his blue uniform jacket and white shirt.
Yugi was shocked above anything else. What did he do? He slowly walked towards the V.P.'s office. Jou stopped him and looked into his eyes.
