Sealed In the Darkness

There was an unheard sound
Penetrated and thrust deeper
Pleasure, but pain swiftly after
The soreness dragged up…
Harder…
Faster…
Teasingly…
Fluid seeped out, running down
Numbness…
It stopped
Fear and pain receded bit by bit

I suddenly sat up in my bed, perspiration running down my temple and jawbone. I wiped it away quickly, placing my hands on my stomach. I looked down at my abdomen, sighing in relief. Nothing was there.
“What's your problem?” The brunette atop a table a few yards away from me inquired softly. His deep sapphire eye that was open was staring at me skeptically.
I swear this guy never sleeps.
“I'm okay.” I replied, forcing a little smile.
Both his eyes were open now and I gazed down, avoiding his observation.
“Really?” The way he answered, it seemed like he didn't trust me in telling him the truth. He got off the table from his comfortable position and sat on the edge of my mattress.
“Seto… I'm fine.” I attempted to reassure, but he still didn't believe me.
Seto crossed one leg over the other. “What have I told you time and time again, Keke? It's the littlest things that get to you and if you don't do anything about it, it will build up.” He wrapped his slender fingers around his necklace.
I unconsciously grabbed the same necklace off the nightstand and observed it. It looked kind of like a trading card, rectangular in shape. My fingers popped it open, revealing a picture of a white dragon. I could feel his eyes on me, watching me intently.

The necklace… it's what connected our souls all of this time. I wonder what it's like to be trapped inside an object for a long period of time… then all of a sudden, someone was able to break the spell and release your soul.
“I'll describe that dreadful place for you, if you'd like, that is.” Seto had read my thoughts.
“Sure.”
“Dark, with no source of light whatsoever. Completely alone with just your thoughts, no one else there… A sense of dread every which way you look. A place you definitely wouldn't want to be.” His voice was almost a whisper.
I read the expression in his eyes. “Seto, I'm always here. Always a person you can talk to when you need it.” Oh, how I wanted to drape my arm around his, but I couldn't.
He scooted closer, propping himself against my headboard, letting it support his weight. “Hey, are you going to do your math homework?”
“You mean Geometry? Oh, drat. I totally forgot I had homework…” I realized in an instant when he had mentioned it.
“I'll do it for you. I just need to borrow a body.” He suggested. He was either bored to death or he loved math more than anything.
“It's neither.” He answered my thoughts again…
“You need to quit doing that.” I retorted, glaring slightly at him.
“May I?”
“Fine. But you better not keep me up all night!” I pulled on the necklace I had been toying with earlier.
Both of our identical necklaces glowed and I closed my eyes. When I opened them, I was sitting where Seto had just been. My body's eyes opened slowly, the green they once were had been changed to deep blue. Seto's eyes. And that's also how you can tell the difference between who's in control of my body.
He got up off the bed and went over to the table to take care of my homework. I stared at my transparent body for a moment before lying back down. “Since you're finishing my homework for me, tomorrow we can look for your body, okay Seto?”
He looked back at me for a brief moment. “Deal.”
I fell asleep within minutes after I heard his response.

I felt something heavy in my arms and I opened my eyes. Seto was asleep in his soul form on my bed, halfway on it, halfway off of it. And I figured out what the weight on my stomach was… I pushed the book off of me and sat up from the floor, touching his hand that was hanging off the bed. Well, not exactly touching it, but close enough to touching that my hand went through his… his form being transparent and all. Seto jerked a little at my touch, it giving us both an eerie feeling, but he remained asleep.
I stood, going over to my laptop, turning it on. Looks like someone can't keep their hands off of it! My background had been changed to a certain white dragon that this someone loved… Which was the same white dragon in my necklace. I logged on to the Internet, searching for any history on Seto Kaiba. And, of course, I ended up on the website of the company he used to own. Reading his profile page, it said that he has been unconscious for 200 years and everyone assumed that he was dead since the year 2000. I heard him moan in his slumber behind me.
Seto had claimed that someone sealed his soul in the necklace and that was the last thing he remembers before the darkness. He could remember his life perfectly, but he couldn't recall what happened to his body after the blackout. I skimmed the document, finding out at the end that his body had been buried in the cemetery just a few blocks away from here. Seto fell out of bed, eyes wide open.
“You okay?” I inquired quietly.
“If the thought I just read is true, then no. Come on, we're going. NOW.” He explained, getting off of the floor.
“I'm coming.” I replied, quickly dressing myself in proper clothes and I followed him.
It was cold outside, so I was wearing a coat. Seto was a few feet in front of me while we walked all the way to the cemetery. I hated how it took forever to find his grave.
“Seto Kaiba -The biggest jerk in the world who invented the duel disk. Was once the owner/president/CEO of KaibaCorp.” Seto read aloud right off the tombstone, slightly angered.
“That's not true.” I said reassuringly.
“Shovel?” He said back, pointing to a shed nearby.
I nodded, walking over there, but it was locked. Seto gently took control and picked it for me, grabbing a shovel. I switched back, digging up the coffin and I pulled it ajar. It was his body all right. I took it as gently as I could out and into my lap. His body was extremely cold, and there were barely any life signs. He was still breathing, but very faintly.
“I don't know how much longer you're going to live without a soul.” I commented, pulling my necklace off and putting it on him.
“Then let's do this.” He pressed his hand against the necklace that lay over his body's heart.
An artic light emitted from the impact of his hand and the necklace, blinding me for a few seconds. When the light dimmed, Seto lay in my arms still, but he was groaning softly. From what? I don't honestly know. His eyes fluttered open unhurriedly, revealing the beautiful cobalt.
“Keke, thank you.” He whispered.
“Any time.” I answered, wrapping my arms tighter around him.
He turned, giving me a proper hug. I eyed the coffin. “Some of your stuff is in that thing.”
Seto moved over to it and pulled out his duel disk, also with a little expensive box with his duel monsters deck in it. He took two cards from the top, which were two very familiar white dragons… I leaned closer to get a good look at them.
“My Blue Eyes…”
