“Why the hell am I here now when all life gives me is grief and sorrow? I lie in bed every night and wait for a purpose tomorrow.”

Titania mumbled in song as she was strumming her blood blazed electrical guitar. Her legs were crossed to balance herself. Occasionally, it would be a difficulty strumming since her black and blood streaked long sleeves constantly fell over her hand.

/Damnit. This is frustrating./

“Roll up your sleeves if it's such a problem.”

The girl gasped as she began to go insane again.

“I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration? Your heart shouldn't be so black and cold. Life isn't that bad of a burden, is it?”

“Shut the fuck up, you stupid wall!” she exclaimed silently so that she wouldn't be heard making a fool out of herself talking to no one. “Leave me alone.”

The wall cackled loudly. “You're still gullible enough to believe that I'm a wall?”

“Well, you're not a human being,” she retorted back as she continued strumming. “You're really embarrassing the shit out of me.”

“Hmm? How's that?” the voice snickered.

Titania's piercing emerald contacts threw daggers at the wall again.

“I CAN'T SEE YOU! It feels so retarded talking to no one.”

“Patience is a virtue, dear girl. I told you I would reveal myself at the appropriate time so when it's dramatic. In the meantime, may I know your name?”

The girl shook her head, allowing her night strands to flutter side by side. “I'm not revealing my name until you reveal your person.”

“Heh, heh, hmm. I knew you were going to say something similar to that, sweet Titania.”

Titania put down her guitar gently, completely peeved, and met the base of the wall with her nose. “I don't know how or why you happened to know my name or the location to where I'm going, but if you don't quit stalking me in the shadows of the night, I'll shoot you where you stand when I do finally meet you.”

The wall chuckled with a slight presence of lust. “Your attitude turns me on. Now I can't wait to finally meet you. I'm sure your person is quite a seductive kind. I think our first encounter will be of a fiery passion.”

Titania smirked. “Who's the pervert now?”

“Heh, heh, hmm. You know quite a lot for someone your age.”

Titania chuckled just like the wall had done previous times before. What was going on? One minute she was getting irritated by the irresistible voice and the next minute she's actually looking forward to meeting the real owner. Was it because of what he said to her? It seemed as though the owner of the voice was quite fond of her. Titania sighed as she remembered that this had happened before with Jason. When they became flirts, she thought that he was actually fond of her and thought she had liked her a lot.

The voice noticed her sigh. “Something wrong, dear Titania?”

No. Something was completely different somehow. Not once had Jason been concerned about her. Not once.

“Nah, nothing, man. I was just remembering some asshole in high school last year.”

“I see,” the voice murmured angrily. “Well, if it makes you any better, you'll be able to see me in a couple of days.”

Titania only nodded in reply. “Who are you anyway?”

There was a loud silence after the question had been asked. Titania gave the voice time to answer, but no response came.

/Damn. Rejected again. No matter. I'll get his name soon./

She retreated back to her electrical guitar and began to strum her song once more for the night.

--

Yugi and the others rented a couple of hotel rooms at the Marriot after an extended trip to Sacramento.

"Jet laggin' bites," Joey yawned as he sunk into a nearby couch and rested his face against a miniature pillow.

"It will be a better day tomorrow. Right now, let's catch up on some sleep," Tea suggested as the four exchanged mumbles of good night farewells while her and Yugi sulked to their own room together half asleep.

--

"Guess who's back, little Yugi?"

To prevent Tea from waking up, Yugi kept his panting to a minimal volume. He had just woken up from another nightmare only moments ago, but then hearing Bakura's voice made him doubt that he was even awake yet.

"Before you start assuming, let me assure you that you are wide awake."

"No...what do you want, Bakura?!" he exclaimed silently.

"I want to continue my vengence upon you, of course," Bakura's voice hissed like a poisonous venom spraying onto the young boy. "I let you rejoice on your last major victory long enough."

"No! I should be dreaming. I have to be dreaming! You're gone..."

A booming saneless laugh filled Yugi's fragile ears almost destroying his eardrums again.

"That's priceless! You should be a comedian," Bakura mocked sarcastically.

Yugi thought he was seeing things because at that immediate moment, he wound up staring at two floating brunette eyes that seemed to hold a shade of a dark crimson blood color underneath.

"This exactly proves what I've said before in the past: you cannot destroy me, for I am the darkness! Now without your pitiful yami to prevent me from completing my duty, I may have a better chance of winning after all!"

"It doesn't matter if Yami is around or not! That doesn't mean you'll win!" Yugi argued back.

"Be careful with your pride, Yugi. Too much of it can crush you in the end." As Bakura's eyes dissolved into the darkness, he spoke his last words:

"You know what they all say, little Yugi: the higher they are, the harder they fall."

His laugh echoed in the dark as Yugi's panting began to cease. For now, he did not want to even bother worrying about Bakura. The only thing that was worrying him was insomnia. His eyes closed as he fell into a temporary slumber, continuing to believe that what had happened just now was only a bad dream.
