Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ She Who Solved the Puzzle ❯ The Imprisonment ( Chapter 1 )
A/N: this is my very first attempt at any fanfiction and at Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction overall. So just bear with me cause I don't know really what I might write about so I'm just gonna go with the flow. As usual, suggestions are very appreciated. I'm not very good at talking about card duels but I might add one or two to the fic cause it will take me a lot of work just trying to figure out some strategies.
WARNING: This is a pretty big AU. Its one of those "what if" fics. Its about a 17-year-old girl solving the millennium puzzle instead of Yugi. For this AU I will be only using the characters Yami, Yami Bakura,
Disclaimer: I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh
I do own the characters that you the readers don't recognize.

She Who Solved the Puzzle
Chapter 1: The Imprisonment
Timeline: Ancient Egypt
During the time of the Amenhotep Dynasty in Egypt, lived a young pharaoh of the age of nineteen. He was tall, dressed in a sleeveless black shirt with the red printing of the millennium eye on the center of his chest and a dark red sheet around his waste to match the symbols color. He wore a gold wrist and armband on each of his arms and wrists. Along with the outfit he had a long purple cape that is hooked to a gold plated necklace that lies in front of him. Around his head he wore a gold band of a 3D millennium eye and wore Egyptian sandals. His hair was three different colors. His bangs were gold and three strands stood up, and looked as if it was lightning, along with all of his black hair and his hair ends are purple. His hair was shaped like triangles, with the purple outlining it, stood up, making his hair unruly in a way. His eyes were of a nice dark purple and red and usually have confidence and courage in his eyes. It was the time of Pharaoh Yamikunhotep's reign in Egypt.
One midsummer day in Egypt, the young pharaoh was casually walking down his royal halls while looking at the beautiful art each wall had and spared a few of his moments of recapping the stories that some had as well. After reading a story based on his father, he came across on that's said to be a prophecy. He saw himself on the wall with one of the rarest treasures of Egypt. The Millennium Puzzle. It appeared on the wall was of the pharaoh under the puzzle and lines led up to it. He looked up higher at the wall and saw that his whole body was in it. Then to the right the puzzle shatters into pieces.
"What could this mean?" he whispered to himself aloud. "Will this happen to me? No! This will not happen! I am the king of games! How can I, the Pharaoh of Egypt, King of Games, be doomed to this fate!?… no matter… never will happen. Though I must worry for my priest had predicted this." He concluded and set off down the hall of his palace.
As he was just about to step outside to greet the new day to his people out in the balcony, he was pushed of by massive pressure of air and was sent off to the wall and fell to the ground. Damage was done to the inside of the palace. Black smoke, pieces of the pillars and walls started to crumble around the young pharaoh as he stood up. He quickly gathered his senses and composure and was off outside to his balcony see the commotion.
His crimson eyes soon grew wide and his mouth wide open at the catastrophe that stood in his site. More than half of his kingdom stood in ruin. Many people were screaming for their lives and loved ones as they are evacuating their homes. As he carefully scans the ruins trying to see what is causing this mayhem, he sees a giant size reptile monster with huge set of wings in the air. The pharaoh could not believe his eyes. The monster was…
"The Blue Eyes White Dragon! BUT HOW? How is this even possible when I, myself am not even in the shadow realm!?" He thought aloud as when the Blue Eyes White Dragon continued to take flight and shot another white lightning attack to finish his damage of the kingdom. Explosions made and caused more people to be killed in the attempt to evade the attack put on their homes and more people terrified from the damage inflicted on their loved ones who couldn't evade the last attack. The pharaoh ran out of the balcony and arrived to the front entrance of the palace only to be soon met with his turban covered face and advisor, Simon Muran.
"My liege! Thank Ra that you are alright!" Simon yelled with happiness. "Pharaoh! I do not know what is going on but you must stop this. You must have left the entrance to the shadow realm opened! Please go and seal the entrance!" he yelled his immediate solution.
"But how! I never leave the portal of the shadow realm opened…! No matter! Come Simon! We must head over to the roof of the palace to stop this dragon!" he told his advisor and grabbed his hand running to their destination.
When they arrived to the roof, the pharaoh prepared to seal the portal of the shadow realm when he heard a diabolical laughter in the wind as it blew. Soon the black clouds came rolling in causing lightning and thunder adding more damaged to the defenseless town. Simon and Pharaoh Yamikunhotep stood in fear but yet prepared to what possibly might occur. Soon the black gray clouds started to twirl and more monsters came falling out of it.
"Curse of Dragon, Saggi the Dark Clown, …no… the Red Eyes Black Dragon…." The pharaoh just kept on naming the monsters that were coming out. "I must stop this!" cried the pharaoh. He told Simon to please step away from him and so he did and was now standing alone on the center of the roof of the palace. A black aura soon took outline of the pharaoh as he had his eyes closed and concentrated his powers from the shadow realm. He opened his eyes and raised his arms into the air.
" Creatures of the shadow realm. Your king of games commands you to return to where you came. Leave my land at peace!" He yelled at the top of his lungs so that the monsters would listen to him. All the monsters turned to look at him for a moment but then ignored his request and continued to destroy whatever was in their way. Simon quickly ran over the young pharaoh and asked what happened.
" I don't know. They completely ignored my command and kept on destroying them… that must mean that…"
"…some one else is controlling them…" Simon finished his sentence.
"Ahhhh yes. Took you long enough for the both of you to figure out this shinanigan! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" a voice that rang through the clouds. Lightning struck in front of the advisor and the pharaoh to reveal a swril of clouds. More wind blew and showed a man who wore purple robes and had long face with evil eyes to match his ... personality.
"Hieshin! But why?! Why did you betray me?" asked the hurt pharaoh with anger in his voice while Simon just stood behind the young pharaoh with anger and ready to fight.
"Dear highness... I only did this for MY own good. I wanted to rule the world and more power so I simply let the shadow realm's creatures run free under my ruling..." he disappeared as another swirl of clouds covered him and soon gone. "I can believe what a fool you are. Don't you remember the prophecy I told you? Now since it is coming true dear "Yami"…you shall die and I will be the new crowned pharaoh of Egypt!" his voice heard through the air.
"No..." the now ex pharaoh fell to his knees." this will not happen... YOU WILL NEVER SURPASS MY POWER OR MY THORNE HIESHIN!" Yamikunhotep quickly ran back into his palace, dodging all the damage of his palace, careful of not breathing in the black unhealthy smoke and not tripping lose stone, hopping over the dead bodies of his loyal guards. He found himself in his room rummaging through his personal belongings finding the one thing the wall he had seen earlier had predicted.
He ran back to the roof only to find Simon half dead. He quickly ran over to his advisor to try and wake him by shaking him by the shoulders. "Simon! Simon! Wake up! Simon!" the now ex-pharaoh cried. The eyes of the half dead advisor opened just about to see the young man in front of him. "Save..:: cough:: Egypt...please...Let your heart... ::cough:: be cared for...::save YOUR ::cough:: people....don't be so..."heart of cold stone ...don't do the right choice just because its right by morals... do it because you want to with passion..." with his eyes shut and went limp but was still breathing.
"I may regret this... but its the only way to stop it...to bad this requires a sacrifice of great power." he cringed. With both hands, he held the puzzle with arms out stretched and shut his eyes as he concentrated. Again, a black outlining representing his nature of the usage of his dark powers of the shadow realm, then said aloud:
"By the power of Ra
I pray for your power
I pray to you for protection, and guidance
I give you my body as an offering…
For the kingdom I wish to protect."
He continued the Egyptian incantation while the situation still caused horror to his kingdom. Soon after the puzzle started to float in his hands and the young pharaoh put his arms down the watched the solution unfold. He sees the sky of swirling clouds being to turn the other way. Soon after all the monsters were sucked back to the shadow realm then sealed. The sky was clear and blue once more and out flying was Heishin on the Curse of Dragon.
" This is perfect. Thanks to you PHARAOH" he said pharaoh mockingly," my plan goes well. Due to your spell of asking Amen-Ra for help in sealing the shadow realm, you have sealed your fate into that puzzle! Just as I predicted you would do. NOW I TAKE OVER THE THRONE! HAHAHAHAHA! Now goodbye little pharaoh, I just hope that being in that puzzle won't hurt your back. Seems uncomfortable." The evil priest said and put a smirk on his mouth.
Yamikunhotep just stood there on his rooftop with his head down. 'NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! THIS IS NOT HAPPENING TO ME!' he mentally yelled at himself. He sank down to his knees and just sat there in denial. "Face it my dear "Yami". I have won and there is nothing you can do to stop me. My bloodline will rule Egypt till the ends of time." He laughed evilly as he saw the pharaoh's outlined aura turned from black to gold. Yamikunhotep turned into a little energy ball and went inside the puzzle then the puzzle shattered releasing tiny energy sparkles onto the ground.
In the air, Heishin made a suitable golden box with the millennium eye in front and gathered the pieces by his magic and placed them in the box. He carried the box and ordered the Curse of Dragon to fly to Yamikunhotep's father's pyramid. He went inside easily dodging all the booby traps there was and placed the golden box next the former pharaoh's sarcophagus. "No one will find it here. If they do…it will be years before anyone can solve it. Unless the chosen one can do it. Sometimes my own prophecies scare me…" he chuckled then went back to his new kingdom to now …rule in his name.
Somewhere in a deep dark room, the now former pharaoh got up from the ground and rubbed his head. "NO!" he slammed his fist against the wall and started to yell like mad. He again sank to his knees and just stared at the floor. Then a bright light came before him so he covered his eyes and turned his head away. He turned back and carefully opened one eye and saw that his trusted advisor was floating right before him but was seen as a see through image. Yamikunhotep rubbed his eyes not believing what he was seeing. "My dear young Yami, you shall over come this obstacle but it will take time for you to do so." He said.
"But how will I do it and when?! I can't do it while I am sealed into the puzzle and my patience is very short, you know that!" he yelled at him. Simon just chuckled at the last remark. "I know that for a fact little one, ever since you were born you never had patience." he paused," Heishin has taken me prisoner to know the secrets of the royal family but don't worry I won't say anything." Yami just stared at the floor with a sense of pity not on Simon but on himself. 'I could not save him. I couldn't.' he thought to himself.
Simon continued." Let the chosen one guide you. Once he puts the puzzle back together you will once again emerge and have even more power than you do now because of the puzzle. When you find that person he will guide you in his own way and he will take you and himself back to our time to finish Heishin once and for all. "Yami just stared back at him with sad eyes. Simon just stared down at him with a smile. "Just know Yami that I love you as if you were my own son, since you were a baby to now and forever. Just come back to save us. We will be waiting…now sleep young one for time will pass by for a time." with that last sentence Simon Muran has vanished.
'No no no nooo…ooo…ohh" Yamikunhotep's whole body fell to the floor and he slept.
Outside you can hear a menacing laughter echoing in the darkness.
To be continued…till next time.
