Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Slowly Sinking And No One To Save Me ❯ Memories ( Chapter 6 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Mistress: Alas, another chapter and this one hopefully not as bad as the prior. Maybe I can edit it sometime soon. Anyway, enjoy!

A small key to help you with this chapter ( I should've done this in the last one as well)

For this chapter:

In the beginning means poem

Start of the story means a flashback

This means another flashback but I changed them so that people could see different flashbacks clearly.

Normal means the usual writing in 3rd person.

Also I hope this answers the question about the ma- thing ( for those who asked/were wondering)

Oh and the next chapter will be very late! For all my stories! Sorry, anyway I'm supposed to be sleeping but you guys are so great! So uhm...yeah ^__^ thank you! Very very much! I was gone all weekend so I didn't get much writing done for any of my stories! GOMEN!

Chapter 6: Memories

I close my eyes,
And go to sleep,
Memories fly by,
From the darkness deep,

The tears the screams,
It's not my dreams,
Their memories of you and me,

I try to hide,
I try to flee,
This is not how I wanted life to be

I can see your face in the dark,
Laughing at me,
On my skin carving your mark,

Although at times,
I see a side of you that's hidden deep inside,
But I know from the nightmares I can not hide

I close my eyes,
And go to sleep,
Memories fly by,
Form the Darkness deep.

Ryou Bakura, 25,03,05(1)

`Please Stop! Please, Bakura stop! ' Ryou screamed tears spilling across his cheeks.

It seemed the more he tried to hold them in the more waves were released. Bakura lifted Ryou's head roughly by the now crimson locks.

`What did you call me?' he asked menacingly.

Ryou froze, tears still dripping down his face. By Ra…Ryou had dared to call his yami by name.

`I am so sorry Master, I swear it won't happen again,' the young light apologized, shaking in fear.

The cruel body above him grinned wickedly. He moved his mouth next to the shaking aibou's ear.

`I will make sure it never happens again,' he whispered harshly.

Ryou's completion paled more than it already had. He had no time to think as a sharp pain entered his body through his thigh. Bakura had stabbed him. Ryou managed to open his eyes half way to see his yami licking the blood off his knife. The young albino stifled a sob and forced himself not to curl into a ball. It would only cause more pain.

The thunder rumbled across the dark sky, shaking the ground; the sinister clouds gathering and swirling together. Soon the shrill wind joined into the serenade. A small figure flinched in his bed every time a new wicked bolt would strike from the sky. The young boy rolled out of his bed and started making his way across the room. He jumped as another clap of thunder shook the surroundings. Bolting out the door he ran to his yami's room and dove into the blankets; burying himself like a small animal. He heard a soft chuckle from next to him.

`Are you afraid hikari?' the dark asked.

The soft strong tone of the voice calmed the trembling youth slightly and yet all he could do was snuggle closer to the source of heat. Another warm chuckle followed.

`Do you want to stay here for the night?'

Another nod.

`Alright…just this once'…(2)

`GET YOU ASS BACK HERE YOU WOTHLESS BITCH!' came the angry cry of a very pissed and very dunk yami.

Ryou had neglected to clean all the blood stains in the living room and Bakura had become enraged when he came home to not find it spotless. Ryou, sending Bakura's fury, had fled the scene and hidden in his room. The trembling albino could hear the angry stomps of Bakura as he came closer. It was Ryou's fault and he knew it. He knew from experience how Bakura could become when he was drunk. Ten times worse then when he was sober.

The said boy curled into a tighter ball as he heard the foot steps stop in front of the closet. The door creaked open and a horrible stench was breathed into the confined space.

`Now now my worthless bitch, you should know better than to run away,' Bakura said softly brushing Ryou's head with his hand.

Ryou tensed the moment the hand made contact with his hair. He remained tense as Bakura petted him. He felt suspicious but couldn't deny that it felt good. Before he could relish in the fact a hard punch forced him against the wall of the closet. There was a crack and Ryou swore that he had broken his skull. He had barely enough time to curl up before a kick was landed to his back and then to his abdomen and then to his head. These steps were repeated for several minutes before the rain of hits ceased. Ryou opened his already bleary eyes ad watched as Bakura fell over, drunk and passed out. Now free to relinquish tears he cried. Before he could cry himself into an frozen state he forced his battered body out of the closet and started to drag `Master's' body towards his room.

`Ryou, I swear if you ever say anything to that bastard pharaoh's hikari or friends not only are you dead but those annoying pests as well,'

`You are so weak! Pathetic! Why did I get stuck with a hikari like you?'

`By Ra can't you do anything right?'

`Even the pharaoh's pathetic bitch is better than you'

Ryou sprang up in his bed drenched in sweat and panting heavily. Why did these dreams still plague him and why do they reappear now? Maybe it was a sign, a sign that he truly was worthless and pathetic. That Ryou was a tag along, a burden to every one around him. He pulled his legs up to his chest and wrapped his trembling arms around the skinny limbs. He leaned his face onto his knees and let tears fall. After several minutes he calmed himself and reached over to his notebook. His psychiatrist said it helped to write things down…(3) He opened a new page and with a smooth handwriting wrote `Memories' at the top.

Mistress: (flinches and dodges rocks ) Okay okay! I get the point! I need to check my grammar! (more rocks) no? Then what? (puts up shield that repels rocks at angry readers) How was it? This chapter was designed so that you could see a little more into what it was like before Bakura became kinder.

(1) This chapter and poem were a little difficult to do but I think I pulled it off okay.

(2)Okay time to explain, this looks like it's out of place in an angst story ne? Well it has a point…I just lost it. Anyway it was to show a small part of what it was like when it was just the two of tem at first after Bakura had become less abusive. And it this story one of Ryou's phobias is thunder.

(3)I'm following the Manga here ( I think) that his sister Ayame and his mother died ( will be revealed how in future chapters, my version of it). And in my story they died when he was around…hm….7 or 8, he was put into trauma and he had nightmares about it constantly. SO he was sent to the happy place where a doctor told him to write it down. That is where the black journal essential became a key part in his life. So yeah ( if that makes any sense!)
