Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Star Dust ❯ Benu's Decision ( Chapter 1 )
Rick: Hello people. This is my first story. Before I start with the main story there is of course a prologue. About the pairings in this I'm not sure who with whom.
Serin: Why don't you tell them the truth, little hikari (light).
Rick: Serin, shut up.
Serin: You know perfectly the couples for this story. Why do you hide it from the readers?
Rick: They shall guess. * smiles innocently *
Serin: Rick? What is this story about?
Rick: First the place. It's playing in ancient Egypt. The land kemet is at war with the nomad tribes. The pharaoh is a cold and heartless man as well as his high priest.
Yami: Rick? Are you speaking about Seto and me?
Rick: Actually, no. You will find out who I mean. But not in the prologue. So, who of you beauties will do me a honour? * silence *
Yugi: I will do it to make you happy.
Rick: Good little Yugi. If non of you would have done it then you would all be punished. Now do the pain in the ass.
DISCLAIMER: Rick owns nothing, except for this plot.
Rick: Thank you Yugi. Now you may go and do something constructive with Yami. But children, not so loud OK? * winks at both of them *
Yami: Don't worry about this. ^_^
Yugi: What does she means?
Yami: You will find out aibou (partner).
Yugi: Oh Ra. O_O Please not what I'm thinking. *runs away screaming *
Rick: Don't worry Yami. You will have him in this story. And then he can't run away. I will work in some bonds. OK?
Yami: ^_^ Fine and I do the warning for this chapter.
Rick: Here is the script.
Yami: Holy Fuck! O_O' WARNING: in this chapter a main person changes his gender.
All: * sweat drop *
Rick: ^_^ Yami? I think Malik is a bad influence. You should not spend so much time with him in duelling.

Prologue
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
In a temple in the desert…
Otogi carefully looked at the place where the one he had to serve was sitting in a deep trance. 5 days without moving, he was sitting there. A small breath of wind blew through the temple. Otogi was sitting near a column. I'm so tired. But he have forbidden me to sleep. 5 nights without sleep. Holy shit.
The young child pulled his knees to his body and rested his head on them. I will only close my eyes for a moment. But in seconds he has fallen in a deep slumber.
In this moment the man was slowly waking up. Noticing that something was different. From his sitting position he noticed that Otogi was deep asleep. The mans white robe rustled softly as he stands up. Gently he picked up the boy and carried him to his quarters. The boy shivered at the cold air in the temple and snuggled closer to the warmth of the mans body. Noticing the boys actions he smiled a warm and kind smile. Inside the quarters he lay the boy on the bed and put the blanket around him. Sleep Otogi. You will need it.
"Nemu, come out. I know that you are here." At the mans request a small child-like creature with blue hair and instead of legs having a snake like tail slipped out of the shadows. "So long I'm gone you will watch over the boy. And tell it also your twin brother Riko." The monster looked in the deep emeralds that were her masters eyes and nodded yes.
"I hope that I will be back before dawn." The man turned around. His white hair hanging loosely over his shoulders. "Master. You will need this." At Nemus side appeared her twin brother holding a shoulder-bag in his hands. His sister put a glass bead inside and handed it over to the man. "Thanks."
"Good luck, master Benu." The twins hoped that Benu would get the sacred water. There master had made a decision. It was about the time that the legend would come true. In kemets darkest hour, there will be born a child. Born from someone, no one expected this person to give birth to a child. A child with a fire deep inside of her soul, that brings light and hope in the world. A child born to be a fighter, that is strong enough to defeat the enemy of both, humans and gods, with her light. But in the prophecy there was also a hint of the choosen ones soulmate. Together they would defeat the true enemy of the world.
This prophecy was the last hope that all people of kemet have.
Benu looked one last time over to the sleeping boy. Then he closed his eyes and disappeared in a flash of light.
"Do you think he will get the water?"
"I'm not sure my brother. We can only hope."

This garden was one of true beauty. Hathor, you have a good taste.
"Ah, Benu! What brings you here in my garden?"
"Hello Hathor. Nice to meet you. I'm here for a little talk."
"A little talk? About what?"
"There are rumours out about you."
"What rumours?" the eyes of the goddess narrowed. Exactly what Benu wanted. "Well, the rumours say, that you have a spring. And the water from the spring can change the gender of each person in the opposite gender. Is it true?"
The blue eyes of the goddess began to sparkle. "Ah, this rumour. Actually it is true. But why do you ask? There must be a good reason for your question or else you wouldn't have asked. so what is it Benu?"
"I wonder if you would show me your spring." I wonder why he does wants to see it. "Follow me. This way."
Hathor leads Benu in the middle of the garden. There between lilies and lotus was the spring. Benu was about to say something when the glass bead fall out of his shoulder-bag. Benu picked it up and held it in his palm.
The light were shining through the crystal clear bead. "Oh Benu. Is this what I'm thinking it is?
"what do you think it is, Hathor?"
"One of your tears. It is said that everyone who finds one of your tears has a free wish. Is it on of your tears?" Hathors eyes were sparkling with excitement.
"It is one of my tears. Beautiful. Isn't it?"
"What do you want for your tear? You can have anything that you want. But please, give it to me." Good. Now I can play with here. I have never expected it to be so easy to get the water.
"Well, I'm not sure if I should give this treasure away. But, maybe if you… "
"If what? Tell me."
"I need a little bottle full of this water."
"This is all? OK, you can have it." the goddess stretched here right hand out. A carafe appeared in it. The water was flowing itself in the carafe. Hathor put the lid on the full bottle and handed it over to Benu. "And here is my tear. I'm sorry Hathor that I can't stay any longer here and enjoy the true beauty of your garden but I must go no."
"OK, no problem." Hathor was to busy with her new toy to notice the small smile on Benus face. In a flash of light the god disappeared to his temple.

When Benu stepped in Otogis quarters an interesting sight caught his eyes. Otogi was still asleep, and the twins were playing a game of chess. Both were deep in there thoughts, when Benu looked over Nemus shoulder.
"Who is about to win?"
"Riko, but it is still my turn." Benu looked over the chessboard and then stretched his hand out and moved the white queen five fields diagonal.
"Checkmate!" Riko was really choked and looked at Benu. "This was not fair." he complaint. Before this could end in a word fight Otogi began slowly to wake up.
The first thing he noticed was that he was lying in his bed, but this meant that his master was awake. Carefully he opened his eyes. In shock he saw his master standing in the middle of his room and two monsters at his site. He will punish me, because I have disobeyed his order not to fall asleep. I am so dead. He throwed himself to the ground.
"Please, master. Don't punish me. I will never disobey you again." his small frail body were shocked from his sobs. The boy was crying.
Benu walked slowly to the bedside table and put the bottle on it.
