Note: The last chapter went a little … differently than I wanted it to go, so I kinda messed up my storyline… so forgive me if I'm a little slow now. I felt like doing a songfic for this chapter; it's just to show emotions and the like, so don't hate me.

Miss self-sufficient

Cali remembered how hard she'd tried to stay away from it all. She'd rejected him once before, a mistake she hadn't made again.

Miss unafraid
Miss out of my way
Miss don't let a man interfere, no

But this doesn't mean he's off the hook just yet. If I get a chance to beat Kaiba Corp, damn it, I'm taking it.

Miss on her own
Miss almost grown
Miss never let a man help her off her throne

And there's no way he's going to go easy on me either. This is the way it should be.

But how could this happen? I've kept it up for so long…why did the walls crumble now?

What's wrong with me? Cali reached up and touched her chest, earning a questioning glance from Seto. Grr… if he did anything to her… Cali didn't even notice.

That's when she broke. She realized it. She was in love.

This isn't supposed to happen! I refused all those other guys so easily! No!

But she miscalculated
She didn't want to end up jaded
and this miss decided not to miss out on true love

I'll only hurt him and myself if I bail out now. I was on the wrong path; I would've ended up alone. Why give up something that feels so good?

So, by changing her misconceptions
She went in a new direction
and found inside she felt a connection
She fell in love.

Cali seems different. I'm surprised she let me kiss her… and now my arms are around her. It's like she doesn't even care I'm taking the dominance. What happened with Talon that made her this way?!

When Miss Independent walked away
No time for love that came her way
She looked in the mirror and thought today
What happened to miss no longer afraid?

Seto looked down at her face again. She was afraid, right before I kissed her. I could tell. What changed her mind?

It took some time for her to see
How beautiful love could truly be
