Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ Team YGO vs. Team Animasters ❯ The battle is underway!!! ( Chapter 14 )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Disclaimer: I don't own YGO. But I own an anime, so why should I complain?
I'm soooo sorry I was gone!! It's exam week here in the Philippines and my mom is dead set on me getting good grades. Don't worry, it's almost over so I've got more time. Plus, I got a relentless flamer there for a sec. He wouldn't listen to me but Sakota scared him off!!!!! Arigato gozaimasu!!!!
BTW, to the flamer: Ano ba yung ginawa ko sayo, sira-ulo?? Kapag ayaw mo yung kwento ko, edi sabihin mo yung mali sa storiya ng maayos!!!! Ano ba yung problema mo??? Baliw!!! (To non-flaming readers: That was my native language, Pilipino. To know what it means, E-mail me)
Anywhoo, Sakota. As a thank you, this fic is dedicated to you!!!!
Note: After the fever, Seto has gotten a little more open and a LOT less arrogant. But let's keep his personality a little similar, OK??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seto was following Sonja to the dueling room since it wasn't his house and Sonja knew this house better then he did.
“Do you think I could market those AMCD's??” Seto asked Sonja.
“I guess, but take it up with Midori. She's the one who has the blueprints.” Sonja replied, turning to the central lounge, where everyone was waiting.
“Oi, priesty!!!” Joey called. Apparently, after DP's appearance, he found a new nickname for Seto, which was more unorthodox than what Joey usually calls him.
“U…ru…sai. (Shut…up.)” Seto breathed, rubbing his forehead at the mention of `priest'. For some strange reason, he got a headache as soon as he heard that word.
Sonja glanced at Seto worriedly, causing Damien to glare at the same person, muttering under his breath.
“It's nothing…” Seto said reassuringly, noticing Sonja looking at him with concern. Sonja accepted and smiled, walking off to talk to Jake. Then Damien leaned in close to Seto, and whispered into his ear.
“Kapag may gumawa ka sa kapatid ko, papatayin kita.” He hissed angrily. (Translation: `If you did anything to my sister, I'll kill you.' Pilipino again)
Seto looked at Damien, confused at the words that came out of his mouth. Damien just glared and walked off.
Then Midori placed her hand on his shoulder. “It's alright. He's a nice guy, but he kinda gets overprotective of Sonja.” She cooed.
“But…” Seto started. “What language was that??”
“It's Pilipino. He's a linguist, a potential diplomat. He's studying other languages as a side subject.”
“Huh?”
“It's a long story.” Midori was about to leave, when Seto grabbed her hand gently. Midori blushed slightly then turned to Seto.
“Is it alright if I market those watches?” He asked, going from duelist to businessman.
Midori looked at Seto, no longer blushing. “Do you have a contract?” She asked calmly.
“No but I'll print one.” Seto replied curtly.
“I'll be waiting for that.” Midori said and took off.
“I saw that.” A voice said from behind Seto. Said person turned around and there was Mokuba.
“She was blushing when you held her hand, Seto.” Mokuba pointed out. “She likes you.”
Seto looked at his brother quizzically. “Your point being…”
“She was waiting for you to ask her out, instead you made a deal with her!”
“I'll see her again.” Seto said simply and strode out of the room.
Mokuba sweat dropped. “I don't understand why girls like him so much when he's so clueless on dating…” he mused aloud.
Evan came up behind him. “You think it's hard having a girl-magnet for a brother? Try having a girl-magnet brother and his equally attractive friends!!!” He said jokingly. Then his expression turned slightly serious. “You ready for the duel?”
Mokuba turned around and nodded. And with that, the two pre-teens left the room.
*In the dueling room*
As everyone entered, they were surprised that a boy was actually sleeping of one of the couches.
He was around 17 or 18, wearing a blue baseball cap that covered his eyes, a yellow t-shirt with two blue stripes across the chest and blue slacks with black and white rubber shoes. He also had two identical black leather bands around his wrists and to top it all off, he was snoring loudly. (I got this look from a game called Reshef of Destruction, It's the other way of dueling. Using the attributes)
When the Animasters saw the boy, they all sweat dropped. Yugi, seeing this, asked Jett: “Who's that??”
Jett said nothing, but he strode forward bravely and forcefully removed the boy's cap, revealing a head of shaggy jet-black hair. (No, not Harry Potter, silly!)
“Get up, lazy!” Jett commanded.
The boy sleepily rubbed his eyes as they opened slightly. His left eye was blue while his right eye was purple. (Sound familiar?)
“DP?!” Yugi cried out as he recognized the bicolored eyes.
“You don't have to shout, Yugi.” The boy said lazily, putting his little finger in his ear and turning his hand. (Sanzo-style)
“H-h-how??” Yugi gasped. By now, every YGO character was staring at the boy.
“Yes, it's me, Draconryuu. I'm a sorcerer, remember? I just cast a spell to change my appearance.” DP said calmly. “But in this form, I'm known as Drake Preston.”
“Oh, I see.” Yugi said, not really getting it at all.
“Are we here to see a duel or are we here to gawk at Drake?” Erik asked, grabbing everyone's attention.
Noticing everyone was staring at him, Erik held his hands up. “What's wrong??” He asked.
“It's only now we noticed you have a British accent.” Tea confessed.
Animasters and Drake: *Anime fall*
“It's just that we're so used to Ryou's accent, we didn't notice someone else had the same accent.” Joey said sheepishly.
“Not me. I picked it up immediately.” Seto said.
“Anyway, let's hurry up!” Erik said, taking a seat.
Everyone took their seats and Jake went to the center of the arena.
“Since this is a handicap duel,” He started. “The audience can shout out advice to the players. But it's up to the players if they want to follow it or not. The rules: No one other than the duelists and Seto can come into the arena. And to Seto: No slipping your Blue Eyes White Dragons into Mokuba's deck. You're there to help your brother verbally and verbally only. That's all.” Then Jake left.
*Team YGO*
Seto: You ready, Mokuba?
Mokuba: Hai!!!!
Seto: Iki-masyo. (Translation: Let's go.)
*Team Animasters*
Kotako: Gam-ba-te!! (Translation: Good luck!)
Jake: Good luck, Evan.
Evan: Hai, Oni-chan!!
And with that, the duel began…
