Putting the Pieces Together



"He passed out again." Jaysec mumbled, staring at the motionless brunette.

"We shouldn't touch him, wait till he gets up on his own." Dylan said.

After about an hour, Seto groaned and opened his eyes.

"Mokuba?" Seto asked, thinking Ron was his brother.

"Mokuba?" Ron tilted his head. "It's Ron. You alright?" Seto slowly sat up, crying out at times. Dylan and Jaysec crawled over to help Seto sit up.

"What's your name?" Jaysec asked. Seto groaned, holding his head in his hands.

"I'm fine... and it's Seto..." he blinked a few times, then looked at the three boys staring at him.

"I'm Dylan, that's Ron, and that's Jaysec." Dylan said quickly. Seto only nodded.

"You wouldn't have any painkiller would ya?" he asked, words slurring slightly. Ron dug in his pocket and handed Seto a bottle of pills.

"Thanks." Seto swallowed four and gave the bottle back. Ron nodded slowly.

"How'd you get here? What happened?" Jaysec asked.

"I'd prefer not to talk about it..." Seto said, standing up shakily.

"Ok." Jaysec shrugged.

"Thanks for helping me..." Seto tried to walk, but fell over. Dylan caught him.

"Man, you can't fucking walk, you're not going anywhere for now." Dylan said. Seto sighed and relaxed in the boy's arms, actually feeling comfortable. Still holding Seto in his arms, Dylan slowly sat down.

Closing his eyes, Seto thought about Mokuba. He wanted to believe Mokuba was here.... Ron looked so much like his brother...

"I think he fainted again..." Ron said. Dylan nodded, careful to avoid disturbing Seto.

"Did he say his name was Seto?" Jaysec asked. Ron nodded, and the red head's eyes widened.

"And he knows someone named Mokuba.... he could be Seto Kaiba!" Jaysec said excitedly.

"Yeah right." Dylan said sarcastically.

"My Yami probably killed Seto..." Ryou said slowly, holding his chest slightly.

"Oh my God..." T'ea mumbled quietly.

"Seto's too fucking stubborn to die, even if Bakura was hell-bent on killing his
carcass." Joey protested.

"Joey's right. Seto's just as stubborn as Joey, so...." Tristan thought aloud.

"I'm not stubborn!" Joey said.

"Sometimes you are." Yugi shrugged.

"I think the rain's stopped... shouldn't we go look for Seto, make sure he's alright?" Ryou said uncertainly.

"Yeah, my Yami says he knows where Seto is." Yugi checked outside. "And it ain't raining anymore."

"Thank God." T'ea said as they all poured out of the cramped tent. Ryou stretched gingerly, crying out just slightly. He felt arms wrap around him, holding him up. Wondering who it was, he felt all warm and fuzzy.

"You alright?" Joey's voice asked. Ryou blushed as Joey rested his head on Ryou's shoulder.

"I'm f-fine." Ryou stuttered slightly, but didn't want to get out of those warm arms.

"Why the hell am I doing this?" Joey wondered to himself. "Am I getting a crush on Ryou?" he could feel himself harden, and he pulled away from Ryou, who was blushing.

"You sure?" Joey asked. Ryou nodded quickly, and the blonde shrugged.

"Alrighty then." he said.

"Come on guys, we're leaving." Tristan said, and the two went to catch up. Yami
had split off from Yugi, and was leading them.

"I wonder if I love Joey..." Ryou thought to himself, glancing at the blonde.

"Great. My Hikari's not only weak he's gay too." Bakura sneered inside his head.

"Hush you. He'd never love me anyway. He deserves some pretty girl. But what
he did back there......."

"That's because he's got the hots for you dumbass. You're fucking stupid, you know that?" Ryou sighed, not knowing Joey was thinking almost exact alike thoughts.

"Ryou couldn't love me, I'm just a street rat from the ghetto. He's practically an English gentleman. Ryou deserves better than me." Joey thought, feeling blue. Stealing a glance at his secret love, he noticed that Ryou was, like himself, in deep thought.

"Wonder what he's thinking about...." Joey wondered, and almost ran into Tristan when they stopped.

"Here. Seto's presence is here." Yami said, motioning to a stone building that they were standing right in front of. The stone was covered with moss it looked old.

"Let's go then." Joey said, and they entered the building.

"Come on..." Yami said, leading them down a hall, and through a door......

The three boys had been waiting for Seto to wake up again, they didn't just want to leave him here. He could die!

"Shh, listen." Ron said, instantly alert. "There's someone else in here..." Jaysec grabbed two metal candlesticks that were in a corner and tossed one to Ron. The two stood ready to fight while Dylan still held Seto in his lap.

The door opened, and Jaysec sprang, raising the piece of metal.

"Who are you, and state your business." he demanded. A group of teens, all older than them, and more in number. There was six of them. Yugi raised his hands, then noticed Seto.

"Seto!" he said, but didn't move.

"We're just a group of Duelists and we came looking for Seto." Yami said, looking at Jaysec. "I suggest you let us pass Jaysec." the red head stared, dumbfounded.

"How do you know my name? I've never seen you before." Yami just shrugged.

"I have my ways." he said.

"Pass then..." Jaysec said, lowering his candlestick, as did Ron. Yami walked over and knelt beside Seto, looking at Dylan.

"Uh.... hi?" Dylan asked nervously. Yami smiled at him. "We won't hurt you." he said, then looked Seto over carefully. The others came to rest on places on the floor. Ryou came and knelt beside Yami.

"It's alright, he's still alive." Dylan said. "When we came he was all mangled and stuff. Ron fixed his mostly." he said, pointing to his black haired friend. Yami nodded.

"Thanks." Ryou felt an awful feeling in him, one that he had felt before.

"How the FUCK did he live? Goddammit!" Bakura cursed, then started to take over Ryou's body.......
