~Chapter 1~

Seto sat behind his expensive redwood desk as he typed up a business document for a meeting he had later that day. He sighed, completely bored. After his meeting he was taking his little half brother, Mokuba's, to the park to play.

A wind blew in from the open glass window and rustled the CEO's brown hair.

He had owned Kaiba Corp. since his stepfather died, which was a year ago, three months after his mother died and two years after he found out his father died and his younger, whole blood, brother was sent to live with their grandfather. His father didn't want Yugi, his younger brother, to stay with his mother or brother so in his will he had Yugi's possession handed to their grandfather and that Yugi wasn't to speak or meet his year older brother or the boys' mother unless their grandfather died.

Seto let out a tired sigh. He was truly bored. There was a knock on the door and his secretary, Molly, walked in.

"Mr. Kaiba?" the secretary asked timidly. Everyone was afraid of Seto Kaiba. His temper was very unpredictable.

"Yes?! What is it?!" Set asked angrily. The secretary jumped at the harsh tone, her short skirt flying up a bit, showing more than necessary.

"A-a Mr. Yugi M-mutou is here to see y-you. H-he s-says he I-is y-your b-brother," she stuttered out. Kaiba was a bit shocked.

`He's here? Why? Only if Grandpa died was he to come,' the CEO thought to himself.

"Let him in," Seto stated. The secretary nodded and beckoned someone in.

"Mr. Kaiba will see you now." A short nervous boy walked in and jumped a bit when the secretary shut the door behind him. Seto stood up and walked up to the boy and looked down at the shaking boy.

"H-hello b-brother," the boy said. Seto smiled softly down at the shivering boy, he wasn't cold to everyone.

"What are you doing here, Yugi? You aren't supposed to be here unless….." he was cut off by Yugi.

"Grandpa died," Yugi stated sadly. "The social worker dropped me off." Kaiba's eyes widened as he heard that.

"W-when? Why wasn't I informed?" Yugi looked up at Seto.

"He died this morning by a heart attack…… I was to tell you." Seto saw something shimmer and he looked down to see glistening tears sliding down the boy's cheeks to fall from his chin to the floor. A choked sob escaped the younger's lips. Seto sighed and picked up the shorter. Seto rubbed Yugi's back hoping to calm the other down.

"Don't worry, Yugi. You'll stay with me and come to Domino High and make friends. We'll finally be able to get to know each other. And you can meet Mokuba." Yugi looked up at Seto.

"W-who's M-mokuba?" Yugi choked out.

"Mom had a kid with Garbanzo. He's our half brother." Seto smiled. "You haven't grown up too much, have you?"

"I don't think I'm grown up the way you think it means, but…… Grandpa and others have said I am very much wise. I just … sometimes can't control my emotions. Though I love playing games and drawing and seeing movies. I love having fun! Grandpa taught me how to play Duel Monsters. He said I was the best, but the reputation I've heard about you I'm not completely sure." Seto smirked.

"Then we will have a duel to see who is the best after the park." Yugi's face lit up.

"Park?!" Seto chuckled.

"I promised Mokuba I'd take him and now that you are here you can come to." Yugi smiled, a smile one would think only an innocent child could have.

"It's hard to believe you are 16. What grade you in?"

"In the same as you, I would believe. I skipped a grade." Seto's eyes widened. He was the smartest in his school and he never was allowed to skip a grade.

"What grade did you skip?"

"8th."

`Wow,' Seto thought.

"I got a meeting to get to. I'll tell the chauffer to drive you to my place. Okay?" Yugi nodded in understanding and slipped out of Seto's arms.

"Where are your things?" Seto asked.

"By the secretary's desk." Seto opened the door.

"Molly, call the limo, tell the driver to take Yugi to my place, and help Yugi take his things to the limo." Molly nodded in understanding.

"Is he really your brother, Mr. Kaiba?" Kaiba nodded and turned to Yugi. "Molly will show you the way to the limo and help you. I'll call Mokuba and tell him what is going on." Seto then walked back to the desk and picked the black phone up and started to dial a number. Yugi walked out and shut the door behind him.

"Mr. Mutou the limo is waiting, this way please," the secretary said as she tried to balance the three bags in her arms and talk at the same time. Yugi's eyes widened and he took two of the bags from her to help out.

"Just call me Yugi. I'll carry these." The secretary smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, Yugi."

"No, thank you," Yugi said and the two were off to the limo.

"I have another brother? What's his name? What's he like?" an energetic voice sounded through the receiver to Seto's ear.

"Calm down, Mokuba! His name is Yugi and He is a lot like you, but don't make fun of the way he looks! My dad had black and red spikes with yellow bangs. Yugi got them while I got mom's brown hair." He heard giggling and he sighed. "Please behave till I get home. Please. I've never been able to stay around him for long, Mom and my dad always tore us away from each other, so please don't scare him away."

"Okay, Big Brother! I'll be good! See-ya later! I'll show Yugi around! Bye!"

"Bye." The line went dead and Seto hung up. He gave an exhausted sigh. He just hoped Mokuba wouldn't do anything to scare Yugi away. He really wanted to get to know Yugi.
