Yuugi blinked at what he had just been told, and sipped his hot chocolate. It really didn't make any sense.. but then again, nothing did anymore. He had caught himself falling for Yami, and dreaming of himself the tall man on what seemed to be a desert island, surrounded by beautiful water and palm trees, swaying softly in a gentle breeze that seemed only to exist to them.

In this dream, Yami and he were adorned in jewels and the finest silks, along with crowns, Yami's being slightly larger. The other only differences between he and Yami's outfit was the color of jewels, His being rubies, and the tanned one's being amethyst. And, the fact that Yuugi had this odd symbol on his arm… which Yami had told him it was the mark of the love slave.

He had managed to sputter out a comment at that, but Yami had stopped him.

"You were my love slave once, but I had loved you so much, and vice versa, I could not bare the fact that you were a slave. I had given you freedom, but you still belonged to me."

"but why didn't you or I notice earlier?"

Yami had sighed at this. He looked up, scarlet orbs hiding the truth in them. He took a deep breath and began.

"After our previous life in Kehmet, we were free souls, but I was so at a lose, I had to search ours out. After millennia, you and I were reunited, but alas, the gods thought it was unfair to other couples around the afterlife. They also admired our strong bond of love… and gave us a second chance. We were allowed to return to earth, but as different people. We had met up the first few days afterwards, and lived happily for another life time, but this time, it was not old age, but an unfortunate accident that split us apart.

By the time I had died, you were ready for me to come, and we were brought together, yet again the gods punished, or if you think of it another way, commended us with another life on earth. This time, we were not as lucky… I could not find you. And Slowly, you were fading from my memory…. I couldn't bare the thought of losing you… By the gods, I've missed you so."

Yami paused to sigh, and continued with the impressive story.

"So, doing the only thing I could from losing you completely, I tucked the memories I had left of you, deep within the recess of my mind. When I saw you again, that first day, something inside my conscious snapped, and I just couldn't leave you! I couldn't forget…

After a while, my mind started thinking about the times we had, and not to long before I had gotten you, I had received a picture from only Ra knows who. It was the pictures you saw, Yuugi, the pictures of us. I was so happy when I saw you… I knew those pictures couldn't have been a trick! I wouldn't have it!

Don't you see, Yuugi, how much I love you?"

/Yami… you love me…. I love you too.. but-/

"No you don't."

The blunt statement caught Yami surprised. What was Yuugi talking about? He loved him so much…

"Yes I do, Yuugi," Yami wrapped his arms around the boy from behind and pulled him into his lap, rocking back and forth, "Don't you remember us doing this? Being in love, and holding each other until the sun did rise?"

Yami placed a chaste kiss on Yuugi's lips, smiling at the warm feeling coming from Yuugi's lower area he got. Yuugi licked his lips and whimpered.

/Spices… No, I cannot! I cannot…/

"NO! You don't love ME, Yami! You love the old me! You love me for who I used to be… but I could never be like this! I'm… I'm in love with Anzu, I can't be in love with you…"

Yami shook his head. The little could try to deny it, but Yami knew the answer. Yuugi loved him back, probably with all his heart.

"Yuugi, I do not love you for who you used to be. Even if those memories had not come back to me, I would still have been in love with you! I love you for the fun, caring, sweet, naïve, shy person you are today! The person you loves to laugh and joke, and who shares his bed with me comfortably! I love YOU, Yuugi, not your past"

Awwwww, That's the cutest thing I've ever written… fluffie rules! Okies, so next chapter, Seto and Jou come to visit their friend, only to find a shocking thing waiting for them!!

*BumBumBaaaaaah* the weird music you hear when something bad is going to happen (or shocking, in this case) on a show!
