Yu-Gi-Oh! Fan Fiction ❯ The Bonds Of Yami And Hikari ❯ Soft Singing and Sick Guests ( Chapter 14 )
Yami's Lover: They'll be back together, don't worry!
HappyDragon: Really, it's kawaii? I feel so happy that my fic made it all the way to cute! ^___^
Diclaimer: I don't own it…. Nuts ;-;
The soft morning hues poked around the park's dew covered grass, and rain stained trees. The path was dry, and in the distance, you could here soft singing.
"Kirameku kaze ga, toiki no you ni yabarakaku…"
A boy, with shining chocolate eyes, and an angelic voice, bounced down the park's trail, happily singing in the morning's rays.
Ryou brushed back his long silver hair from his eyes as he stopped his journey to look out upon the lake, by a weeping willow. It amazed him how the light reflected so perfectly off the water, making the atmosphere around him heavenly.
"Kata wo, tsutsumu yo.." His voice echoed across the lake as he sat down on the right side of the willow, smiling as he glanced at the ground, "Chiheisen no mukou kara…. Oh dear.."
Indeed he was `gazing at someone', so the song went.
The poor thing was shivering, his unnatural multi colored locks had flopped around his face, and his deathly pale hands were wrapped around his exposed shoulders.
Thinking fast, Ryou picked up the cold figure, and dashed out of the park with great speed. He managed to get to his house in record time, shifting slightly with the prone body in his arms, as he opened the door the abode.
"Don't worry, little guy," His soft voice whispered, "I'll have you warmed up in no time.."

Amethyst orbs creaked open to the sound of a beautiful melody, with the most soft lyrics added. At the moment, Yuugi thought he was in his mother's embrace, as she had sung to him when he was sick. He smiled at the Japanese voice, and sung along with it in English.
"Yoru no sora ga hoshi wo egakidasu… hitotsu zutsu.." The soft voice sung out, and he echoed with his version.
"The night sky is drawing the stars… one by one.."
The warm arms around him shifted so Yuugi could see the face what he thought to be his mother; actually an angel. His pale face were alit with glowing coffee eyes, and soft ashen locks cascaded around the boy's face.
A smile grew on Yuugi's savior's face, and he spoke after he brought up a mug of soup to Yuugi's nose.
"I am glad to see you are awake.. would you like some chicken soup, to help warm you up?"
Yuugi nodded slightly and a spoon was brought to his lips. The broth warmed him up tremendously, and the chicken and noodles helped his weakened state. After finishing off the soup, Yuugi wrapped the quilt around himself tightly and spared a glance around his milieu.
The red Oakwood floor had obviously been recently polished, for he could see his own reflection in it. There was an old rocking chair, to the right, with another quilt upon it's light cerulean painted base. A basin, a light red-brown color, lay upon an old dresser, also probably polished.
To the left, a mini collection of statues, of what seemed to be the Egyptian fabled gods, placed in a finely crafted glass windowed cabinet. Other nick-knacks were sorted in the rest of the cupboard, and all shone with it's own unique light.
He sat upon an old bed, quilts and soft fuzzy blankets, and fluffy pillows. There was no mistake that there was a grandfather clock somewhere near by, it's unmistakable ticking sounded in the background sounds of softly played music from a C.D. player..
The boy placed a hand on Yuugi's head, and smiled when he had found that Yuugi's fever went down. He backed up slightly and reached his hand forward to the no longer ill boy.
"Hello, my name is Ryou, Ryou Bakura.. It's a pleasure to meet you…?"
"Mouto, Yuugi," Yuugi clasped Ryou's hand, shaking it lightly, "And the pleasure is all mine."
Ryou smiled, before he placed a hand on his chin thoughtfully.
"Yuugi.. do you have a brother, or relative, who looks somewhat like you?"
Yuugi shook his head.
"None of my relatives are living.. Why do you ask?"
"Aa.. You see, after finding you, I went out quickly to see if I could find any trace of family of yours. Upon my search.." He blinked and looked behind himself and Yuugi" I found this fellow.."
Yuugi looked back too, and saw what he had been hiding from, whilst Ryou continued speaking.
"He seemed to be very tired, and nobody would help him up. He was soaked to the bone, mumbling about finding `his little light'… I thought it best if I brought him here, seeing as he looks almost exactly like you."
Yuugi looked sadly upon the prone form of Yami Hiwatari, who looked like death himself.
Yami's usually tanned skin was almost as pale as Ryou's. His hair was limp, and his lips were blue. He was wrapped up in many blankets, and his head lay gingerly on a pillow. His cheeks were flushed, and a warm cloth rest on his forehead.
Ryou looked over at Yuugi for some kind of reaction, but the boy seemed to be struggling with himself to flee, or approach the man on his bed.
"It's alright to touch him, if you know him.." Came the timid voice of Ryou.
This snapped Yuugi out of his daze, and the boy crawled up next to Yami, laying his head on Yami's quilted clad chest, before murmuring softly to him.
"I'm so sorry, my dear Yami…."
He hadn't been expecting, however, for a reply, or cold arms to snake around his waist.
"It's alright, aibou.. as long as you are well."
Yuugi opened tear stained eyes quickly, and looked into dazed crimson, before he let out a sob and wrapped his arms around Yami.
"I.. I thought I'd lost you, Yami.."
"Never, sweet light, never"
Ryou watched the exchange before he stepped out of the room, and into the hallway. His soft foot steps went un noticed to the other two as the slowly drifted off to sleep, but another appeared out of a room, looking at Ryou tiredly.
"Ryou… when are we to eat?" Came the equally British tinted voice.
"In a bit, Bakura, go back to bed… you know you're too sick"
The other nodded before disappearing back into the room of which he came. Ryou sighed… He really wished Bakura wasn't sick with such a bad cold.. the doctors told him that if he didn't get better soon… he could possibly die.
