Yugi slowly tiptoed on to the top bunk bed on which Yami lay. Snickering devlishly, he made his way to the side of where Yami lay asleep. Yami had been really sleepy lately and not waking up at his usual time, which was at 6:00a.m. even on weekends. Honestly he had been a light sleeper. Went to bed at around 10:00 every night and woke up at 6:00, And he had been doing it for over a year! But now all of a sudden, it's like his energy is being struck from him. Good thing it was summer. But today, Yugi felt like having a little harmless fun with his Yami, after all, what would a little joke harm? All except his ears anyway.

Yugi, grinning deviously, leaned over to Yami's ear, took a very, very deep breath, and..... let it loose...

"WWWAAAKKKKEEEE UUUUUPPPPP YYYAAAMMMMIIIII!!!" the boy's voice made the house vibrate.

In an instant Yami shot up out of bed, and landed on the floor with an extremely loud THUD.

Yugi, however, was rolling all over the bed laughing so hard that tears we're constantly rolling down his bright red cheeks.

"Yami! You should of seen you're face! HA HA HA! It was priceless! HA HA HA HA HA HA!" Yugi laughed histairicly.

Yami growled in annoyance and frustration, "Hikari, for once could you please allow me to sleep in peace? Just once?", he grunted.

Yugi instantly quit laughing but his cheeks we're still red and he was still grinning," Wadda ya mean? You usually wake up before me and grandpa!"

"Yes, this is true, but I have been much tired lately and would like to sleep a little late today!"

"You mean like the past 10 days? Come on Yami! Whats wrong with you lately? Why have you been so tired!?"

Yami's expression turned to grogginess, "I don't know... Just feel... exhausted lately..." He yawned.

"Hmph! Come on Yami! I aint gonna let you go back to bed today! Nuh-uh. Come on, breckfest time!" Yugi hopped down from the bed and grabbed Yami's arm and litteraly dragged him down stairs.

"Argh! You Could Of At Least Let Me Get Dressed First!!" Yami was almost yelling, a hint of extreme anger in his voice. Yugi hadn't done something THAT wrong had he? He was greatful that grandpa's sister got sick, well... not greatful, he was happy he was away so he could figure out what was wrong with Yami on his own.

Yugi gulped,"Uhh... Sorry... I just... didn't want you sleeping in again..." Yugi was a little hurt. He wouldn't have done it if he knew Yami was going to take it so bad. He would never hurt Yami... not on purpose.

Breckfest was quiet that day. Why had Yami snapped at Yugi like that? What was happening to him lately? Everyday he would change a little bit more and more... It was starting to get out of control...

Yami finished his breckfest and cleaned out the plate in the sink then set it in the dirty dishes pile, Yugi soon after.

Yami started up the stairs to change his cloths. Yugi stayed down stairs.

Yami... the name played it self like a broken record in Yugi's mind over and over. Had he really upset Yami that much? It was just a simple joke... Why was his Yami changeing?..... Why? Then a new voice revealed it self...

"It begins..."

Yugi twisted around instantly, franticly looking around the upstairs living room. No one except himself.

Who was that? Yugi wondered I know I heard someone, and I doubt my imagination could sound so clear... After a few minutes he finally gave up the topic.

Yami lay on his bunk lost in deep thoughts. Something was wrong with him... But he couldn't figure out what...

Yugi sat on the couch in the living room. Thoughts churning and swirling through his mind, all until a dark figure was standing in front of him from out of no where. Yugi jumped. The figure was just... black... no clothing, no body! Like it was the shadow of a person! The only thing that even had a chance at being normal was it's evil, creepy, blood red triangular shapped eyes.

Then, all of a sudden, the shadowy creature wrapped around him and was suddely surrouded by nothing... trapped in a complete void of darkness... alone... and scared...
